    I had a question: is it necessary to keep your head above the ground at all times? It starts to hurt after a while.

      I use a chair to lower my feet too instead of the floor, it helps a lot with my hip pain

      Only lower your legs upto the point that the lowerback almost leaves the mat. Your lowerback should be flat on the mat
