Ain't that the truth! Was watching The Faces at The Marquee Club and saw this in my feed. Felt like I stuck gold with what's basically a video of the "Waiting For Columbus" concert, and naturally LF didn't disappoint!! Plus the fact is was a Rockpalast production which are always spot on. LF is only real with Lowell, IMO (naturally no disrespect to Paul B., Bill P., Richard H.,etc). My Thanksgiving Day treat today!

I miss that man to this day. He grooved like nobody else. He told me in a conversation we had in Jamaica 1995 that he wished he had played less on all these classic tracks in his younger days as he was being pushed hard to replicate his own stuff that much later night after night. He always did but I got his point for sure.

R&R HOF treats the musicians like shit- according to the musicians interviewed. And yes, it is a pile of elitist bureaucrats who don't know crap about music. I will say, however, that the induction of Leon Russell by Elton John is wonderful! Check it out. But, the HOF had nothing to do with it themselves.

So funky - those pinch harmonics on Dixie Chicken - such a unique groove. I hear some second line in there (Bill Payne) and they always reminded me of good times on Bourbon Street.

When these shows originally aired, you were lucky to see them one time. Now, 50 years later, there are so many of these concerts available on RUclips. Some that I never saw and some that I had seen and never thought I would see again. So many heroes that are long gone, yet here they are, just as we remember them.

Great concert. The mike levels sound a bit low on this. Not sure if that was done in final mixing? BTW, you have June instead of July in the description.

So that's where the "various kinds of bottleneck guitar...sears and roebuck craftsman 11/16 socket wrench" comment came from. Hilarious.

Maybe this is normal, but does Lowell disappear during the almost 10-minute long Day at the Dog Races jam?

He didn’t like the song so he did exit stage right for it. It was common for that tour.

Back in the last century, I read somewhere that when asked about “Day At The Dog Races” Lowell said that it was “the very antithesis of what the band was all about”. Seems like Bill, Paul and the rest of the boys were going through their kind of “Weather Report” stage. I like DATDR as it shows what a fine bunch of musicians Little Feat were/are and always will be.
