Waiting For Columbus IS one of the BEST Southern Rock albums EVER!!! I am 66 yrs old n STILL agree with that statement!!! GREAT seeing it posted here!!! Thanks ever so!!
Little Feat is one of my top 5 bands of All Time...But they ARE NOT SOUTHERN ROCK. Same as CCR, they are California Pure. Lowell's first big jobs were with Zappa. Later, they hung out in NOLA with Toussaint, Bonnie Raitt and Robert Palmer. Lowell did too much "China White" there, like Dr, John and Johnny Winter. But they are not from Dixie. Know your History!!!
@@kimberleelee9141 That's probably because you, (like I did) filled your house with all that great music from those days when they were young. My kids love it too, and are in the same age range as yours. Massive difference vs the way we rejected pretty much all our parent's music.
One of best. Saw them twice in The Fox Theater in Atlanta. Bonnie Raitt backed them up then came back out and sang a few with them. They defy category. Waiting For Columbus, one of the all time great live LPs
Saw them three times here. The first time was with the original band at UC Santa Barbara (1974?) when they opened for UFO and Fleetwood Mac. The 2nd and 3rd times was at the Concord Pavilion in the 80s with the newer (at the time) members from Pure Prairie League. For the Concord concerts they headlined the 2nd show with Jeff Healey opening for them, where Healey joined them for the encore. Was amazing - he was killing it but the band couldn't reel him back in because, well ... he was blind. Some of the most amazing 20 minutes of jamming I've ever witnessed. The 3rd show they opened for the Allman Brothers. Yeah ... *that* was a f***ing amazing show.
