Rest in Peace Paul
Thank You
actual deeply funky guitar/keyboard rock music. Kind of an endangered species now. These guys kind of owned it at the time. No glitz, no platform shoes, no glamor, no artsy pose. Just some badass music for the sake of badass music. This is a particularly good segment. Lowell's solo on Skin It Back tops the studio recording, I think, and that is saying something.
i'm trying to find my jaw on the floor! sooo funky!
id like to dedicate this song on facebook to my good old friend Carl Smith. one of his favorite sayings was 'skin it back', he pased away in 2001. Miss him dearly.
i've married the recording tape of my brother holding this evening once in Germany :D
George and them !
Feats Forever!!
God they were tight.
sheer class
RIP Richie...
There is Little Feat funky and then there is Sears funky (everyone else)!
RIP Paul Barrere, thanks for the music !
In a democratic group, everyone get's a turn. Probably wrote that song. Anywho, I got lots of singing opps in my bands. I was never by any means the best vocalist, but I still got to sing my heart out. Thank's
GOD Bless the folks at Rock Palace and WDR for preserving these tracks, in real good quality. Check out the Rainbow and Thin Lizzy WDR performances. Heil WDR!.
Does this seem just a tad slowed compared to the original video at plast??
WAAAANNNNNNIIITTTT!
WanitWanitWanitWanitWanit!!!
WANNIT!
Spose if I'm reeeeeaaaalllll good Sandy Clawz might gimme for Qwimass?
I'll be soooooooo goooooddd...
Feat at their peak! Saw them in London around this time with Tower of power horns. Total brilliant!🤪
a little of the same music used in Spanish Moon. Agree 1 of the best band of all time.
Damn, I miss Richie and Lowell. This is one stone, cold grooooooooove.
Thank You. Much attention is givin' to Lowell & Ritchie ( well deservered ) , The thing about Little Feat was how all of the members gelled to create such a great band. I want to thank you for posting these videos. I've long listened to Little Feat. Seeing them is awesome. As a drummer, I tried to play Ritchies parts, ha, you're not even close. Being able to see the man just reinforces the fact that I am not Ritchie Hayward. Maybe it will inspire other younger drummers. Once again, thank you.
Yeah..the relationship between drums and percussion was inverted in that band, a bit like the role reversal between bass and guitar in The Who
just heard this two days ago and have listened to it 20 times since- I apparently can't get enough of it - funk perfection indeed
richie hayward was self taught. he came up with all those unique chops himself
Andy Nelson
Total underrated, had such a great feel!
He sure as hell did. Crafty. Hard to copy and I been trying to cop some of it .
I had a bootleg copy of this in the 80's. So nice to see this in good quality! Thanks for posting!!!
This band is amazing..
Little Bit of Trivia for you: In a 1975 interview in Rolling Stone magazine, Jimmy Page said that Little Feat was his favorite American band
feats have never failed me
me neither
Feats Dont Fail Me Now
Little Feat is still my favorite all time band!!!!!!
One of the greatest rock bands of all time, no doubt. Alongside the Meters , Steely Dan and Joni Mitchell, one of the four best rock/pop acts of the 70's, too.
It's well worth reading Ben Fong-Torres' biography of them.
RIP Paul Barrere
Lost my sister very recently,. She and I have always loved LF. Hearing this band while I watch the night sky twinkle. Hoping to be with her again. She is here with me listening to the best music and we both still sing along. Thank you for this blessing 😊. Great end to a horrible day. ✌️❤️🤗
Heal well
Like musicians from Louisiana! This band especially!!!
(they're actually from California)
@@jan3195 True. The band formed in L.A. but the members were from various places and Kenny Gradney is from Louisiana.
love it always
It should be ILLEGAL to play vids in the middle of a jam like this
I first heard of Little feat via a pub band in Liverpool called 'Joey Shiels and the Wheels' who are still playing, they used to cover Rock 'n' Roll Doctor....I used to love Joey doing Lowell's slide...anyway, that's what got me hooked...Oh, and the first album I bought was 'As time goes by' from Britannia records for 99p!! Still got it.....I believe it's worth a few bob....any takers ;-) Love Da Feat!!
@bloozedaddy Yes it is still available I bought mine from Amazon.
Saw em in '78 at the Capitol Theatre, Passaic NJ.... Bonnie came on stage.... best concert I have EVER seen to date. Even other Feat concerts. I love these guys...
Legends of 70s rock n roll but Barrere really should have left the singing duties to LG. Fantastic sound mind you.
Plenty of excellent drummer around. If you are looking for more, then you have Richie Hayward.
No doubt that it was numbered seating or not; by halfway through, everyone was just dancing on top of whatever seat was available with whomever was available...or not! Because, by then we were all available....TO DANCE!!!
Wow, Is that Ritchie singin" ? Do it Bro!
You gotta give G a break once in awhile
Way too much fun. Awesome band.
Best band ever
YES!
I've been listening to da Feat for nigh on 23 years (I'm 39) and they're still the only band I come back to every few weeks and think "why did I stop listening to these guys the last few weeks"!!!
Mike Grant
No other band sounds like them, then and now!
Total groove machine!
I'm 73 and still come back to them a lot. A local station plays Feats at 5 m-f.
I'd love to get this on DVD....anyone know if it's out there?
BloozeDaddy
I got mine through Amazon!🤗
This just ruined my day.
