Missed Technical Tuesday! Love my MR920L w/ 508T optic. Never had an issue or malfunction 500+ rounds through it. Waiting for a micro compact 43x style with a 15 round mag hint hint. Surprised you release the DR before a Micro Compact would imagine the market is much larger for a Micro vs. full sized duty pistol?
Shadow systems... I just bought my CR920 and I don't baby my gun!! For the life of me, I cannot remove the slide safety cap. I've never had any issues with this. Please make a video on how to remove
I thought RUclips was shadow banning you guys or suppressing you guys. TUESDAYS ARE FUN AGAIN!!!! Welcome back all!!!! I have a issue with my shadow systems gun. MR920. The issue is lack of ammo. I was under the impression that once I bought the gun it would have unlimited ammo included with it, or at least 9mm under 65 cents a round. Lol.
Thanks for taking the time. To explain how shooters should man up and man handle the pistol. I have students believe that the pistol should be handled delicately. Thanks for taking the time to deliver outstanding customer service.
3:40 as a new shooter, this was one of my issues especially being a lefty and not being (or wanted) able to use some guns that only have righty slide release. After this video, I don't think I will have much use for the slide release. Can't wait to get my new DR920 tomorrow.
I recently purchased a DR920 and have to say that it is one of the finest firearms that I have ever handled. I have only put around 300 rounds through it but it has functioned flawlessly. With a Holosun 507C-X2 mounted on the slide this thing is a tack driver. Well done Shadow Systems
PREACH! I'm in the SS group on Facebook and so many guys ride the slide forward then complain the round won't chamber. Then claim it jams and they post a video of them teacupping it.
I finally have enough ammo to take the it back to the range. I absolutely love shooting my mr920! I love the continued support and videos like these. 🇺🇸
My question on this as I have the mr920 on order, if there is a possibility of issue with different ways to hold the firearm to prevent ejection. Would this be a gun to daily carry? Different situations call for different holding methods?
As someone who works in a gun store, the racking thing is universal. I can't tell you how many times I've seen people afraid to rack the slide. It's most common people who consider semi auto handguns to be too hard to rack. If you can break the gun by racking the slide, that slide was destined to eject towards your face under the stress of actual fire.
My war poet is less than a month old, and I have around 1500 rounds through it. I had issues with the support hand, and the new Remington range ammo at first. It’s what I could get. I adjusted my grip and stance and got 500 rounds downrange as well as tested my self defense ammo. Gun runs perfect now. Thanks for the videos Trevor, this adds to the customer service experience and I can’t wait to buy the DR model
Fantastic comment! I hear so many people raving about this gun (which I just bought) but no one sharing round count. Your opinion doesn’t mean squat if you haven’t even fired 1,000 rounds through the thing. My number is 2,000 in order to go around telling people, “I trust my life with this gun” and probably more like 5-10,000 before I’ll tell people, “this gun is every bit as good if not better than a Glock (reliability), ergos aside”. I love ergonomics as much as the next person but reliability is #1 to me.
Just my opinion but after shooting for many years and carrying every day, you come across a lot of different kinds of folks who like to shoot. Unfortunately sometimes there are people that are not very experienced but always have to have the new cool gun. I’ve always been a Glock guy and I’ve just recently switched over to shadow systems and have to say that I’m very happy customer. People seem to confuse shooter error or lack of knowledge with quality of the firearm. These videos are great to help people out. Cheers guys
The only problem I had when I bought my MR920 was one of the holes for a red dot was messed up and had some burrs in it. I had to buy a tap off amazon to tap the hole out. I wanted some new bolt for it since I dicked one up before I tapped the hole
I've had my mr920L for almost three weeks and 800 flawless rounds through it. I couldn't be happier! Just trying to find the right iwb holster that will accommodate a tlr7a and red dot.
I've had mag buttons fail on both my wife's and mine MR920 about a year ago. I reached out multi times and still haven't gotten replacement parts. :/ IT's the only issues I've had.
2 issues… The only 2 complaints I have with my 920 is the grip sucks. Like holding a block of wood. Not ergonomic or comfortable at all, and the angle is a bit much for me. Any way to change that? The back straps do not help. And mine throws the brass just wherever it feels like it, hot brass, landing on your hand, arm, down your shirt, hit in the face, top of my head. I kid you not, it does not eject off to the side consistently. Maybe look into that, or get back to me with a solution. Until I find solutions to those 2 issues, it’s just my EDC. As soon as I get home, it comes off and the Masada goes on… Oh and where can I get flush bottom mags? Pmags hang out like a dirty sock. Do you have flush bottom mags?
Hi Simon, I’ll try to address all of your questions, but let me know if I miss anything! The backstraps should help to change the angle of the grip. We encourage you to test each one out by closing your eyes and presenting the pistol in a safe direction towards a target and seeing which backstrap points most naturally for you. We have an old Technical Tuesday video about this if you look back in that playlist. As for the brass going all over, have you tried multiple brands of ammo? Some ammo does this more than others. We do not offer a flush bottom mag, as we like the ability to be able to grasp the bottom of the mag to manually pull it out if ever there is a malfunction. Some folks use glock mags, which work well and sit more flush.
I tell everyone my mr920 is a Glock, Perfected. It's the best pistol I've shot to date. And I've shot damn near all of them. Just wish yall would hurry up with a g26 size pistol release.
The MR920 is an awesome gun! I am pretty accurate with it. I was having issues with the slide not staying open after the last round but this was due to me putting pressure on the slide release with my thumb, not palm. I also had an issue with the front site coming loose. I’ve put 150 rounds through it without any other issues. Awesome gun! Just love it
Have you guys done a video on trigger pulls? For some reason I pull right and low on my MR920 but not on my PPQ or VP9SK. Is it a flatter trigger thing or is the pull a little heavier? Thanks! Love TT!
Hello! Hard to say--how low are we talking? When people report lots of low hits, we usually find it is that they are dipping the muzzle in anticipation of recoil. But since you are having good results with the PPQ and VP9 its a little confusing. I would start with sticking some dummy rounds at a few random places in your magazine and shooting a group. See if you flinch a little when you hit the dummy round. If all okay, after that, we can look at the sights. Perhaps an adjustment is required. Let us know--feel free to call customer service after you have through through it a bit. Thanks. Trevor
I've never owned a Glock but I bought DR Combat, I am used to riding a safety. I'm all over that slide release like it was my prom date..🤣 Only 240 rounds through it but im working on that. Cleaned a lubed it before shooting it the 1st time and I've had Zero failures. I'm not a Glock guy but I like the DR alot!
Kudos to openly admitting the number of returns, and issues that one may come across, with your product. You don’t find that type of honesty, in sales, too often. ALL products, will have issues… except Glock (if you listen to Glock, instead of their customers).
I have the warrior Poet Society Edition I have never owned a Glock like until that gun but it is probably the best gun that I have ever owned in my life I do have quite a few. My only problem is is now I have to buy one for my son who loves it as much as I do
I shaved/fabricated my slide lock lever down to about 1/3 the size to keep from tripping it with my grip. I do it with all glocks especially the thicker gen5 levers. I don't use slide release levers so it doesn't makes a difference to shave it down. Problem solved. Not sure why I'm the only one who thought to shave it down?
What Trevor is referring to is to should be noted and something that I picked up on , is that maybe some people buy the shadow , look at some haters video and decide to return the gun based on misinformation that some hater put out in that shadow , without ever even shooting it , I saw a negative video , then I went to the range and disproved the negativity, I own a few glocks and can attest to the fact that when you shout the shadow it just feels more controlled , reliability wise , it’s the same as a standard glock . But with better components ie upgrades . It’s my edc always and I have a few nighthawks too btw.
I am relatively new to the gun world (bought a p365 1 1/2 y/o ) and I would like to know the ins and outs of good maintenance to keep it in tip top shape. I bought an mr 920 today and I would appreciate any advice. Thank you. I’m really geeked to fire it.
I wanted one of these but I’ve never seen any other manufacturers put out so many videos of why their guns aren’t working because you’re using them wrong
I have the mr920 got about seven hundred rounds through it so far, had a couple of hiccups the first hundred rounds the key is like he said not to Baby the gun keep shooting it, shot 100 rounds today flawless shoot quality ammo
Hey Patrick. I am not a watch guy, so I take a pretty practical perspective. I am also the kind of guy whose watch is an hour off for like 2 weeks after daylight savings time. I decided I wanted three things: 1) Always keeps the right time without human intervention. 2) Doesn't need winding or battery replacement 3) Looks like a decent analog watch. I finally settled on a Citizen Eco-Drive PCAT watch (CB5908-57E). I bought it on Amazon for $596 which is a ton for me when it comes to a watch, but worth it if it could do all three of those things. It charges via the sun, it does sciency radiowave stuff every night with the atomic clock to keep the right time, and it's decent looking. I also replace my watch bands with inexpensive QD silicon bands on Amazon. Believe the brand is Barton. Quick to change out, change the color, etc. Not a cool watch story, but it has been great so far. I also wear a fitness band on training days. I've been using the WHOOP strap. Ehhhh. It's okay...
I have an MR918 combat and love it. The only issue I’ve ever had with the gun is sometimes when you cycle the last round, the slide doesn’t lock back. That could be dangerous if I had to drop a clip and quickly put a new one in and back to battery. Any suggestions other than testing the one hand firing?
Look at your grip and make sure your support hand isn’t touching the slide release lever. This is the most common issue with any “Glock” style platform
Using your support hand with an overhand grip, behind the ejection port, pull all the way back until your support hand hits your chest. And then, leave the slide alone. Don’t do a press check. “But Cap, they put these grooves there to make press checks easier.” I don’t care. You just loaded the gun, don’t take it out of battery unless you have a malfunction.
I also would like to contact customer service. My issue is your product is so good it has caused me to neglect my other babies. This is unacceptable and a major problem.
I have come across many different kinds of ammo that were under powered. I would disassemble the cartridge to find barely any powder. Ammo manufacturers must be cutting corners to keep up with demand. I have found it mostly in turkish made ammo. Buy American.
I was waiting for this. New shooters on Facebook hating for this. Then they show video 📹 . they look like a 5 year old girl racking the slide princess style and holding the pistol and shooting grip like she learned from her one year older brother who learned from looney tunes with Yosemite Sam on cartoon day. Finally pistols 101 classeroom in 5 mintues. You need to put this on the label watch first, then 200 rounds. How do i get a job in sales with you guys? Products and service are great.
Idk why anyone would baby a gun considering it shoots projectiles via repeated contained explosions happening inside of the thing. It’s meant to do work, it can handle the “abuse”. I mean, if their a gun noob, I get it, they may still be nervous to handle it. I’m not saying beat it to crap obviously, but manipulate it with some UMPFF! I remember teaching my wife how to handle and operate a firearm (no live ammo around and using empty mags), she’d be scared to be rough with it and use some elbow grease because was scared she was gonna break it lmao she was scared to use force to depress the slide lock/release, whichever you prefer to call it, to send the slide forward because she thought the force would send the slide across the room and off of the gun XD It was actually kinda cute and funny. I had to be like “babe, it’s a gun, things explode inside of it, they’re used in wars, your thumb isnt going to break it.”
Kinda of a blame the customer video. You cant possibly expect perfect range conditions at all times. Yes I agree with the break in period and silly returns without shooting it.... As a veteran ,my randomly assigned Sig or Beretta always went boom and cycled every time I pulled the trigger limp wrist or not, god forbid you are injured and shooting without your dominant hand, you cant count on your Shadow System? I guess this is more of a safe queen.
I do not "Baby" any of my Guns... I don't throw them in the ocean, rocks, metal scrap piles, horse manure, tool boxes or active volcanoes but, still not babied... I may be late to the game, having never been smitten with the Glocks that so many other people apparently were but, having held the xr 920 in my hand at the gun shop and seen the 50 or so videos of them online, I must admit my "must have Meter" has gone into the red a bit.... Hoping to acquire one soon...
I thought i was the only one who told people that i remember letting one guy shoot my Springfield XDM 40 he didn't pull the slide back far enough then he tried again and kept jamming the gun up dropping unfired rounds each time trying to cock it i had to show him how to cock a pistol lol
It’s such a shame you guys have to deal with stuff like this. Not to say a first time gun owner would know, but usually your customers aren’t new gun owners, a
Shoot your f****ing gun there I said it for you trevor this is a gun that's meant to be used !!!!! It's a tool I have a mr920 my next purchase will be a DR920 would love to see a slimline sub compact 507k ready from yall that would be the perfect trinity
Wow making fun of and belittling your customers nice . I'm no operator/ contractor but I do know if you need to draw your weapon from the holster in an emergency you won't always get that perfect grip you talk about to reduce malfunctions caused by Limp wrist so its a real thing .
This is 100% the best comment here.... all other comments are hive mind boot lickers. A real life scenario Shadow Systems should not be expecting perfect range conditions for the firearms to operate correctly. This video just made a bunch of alibis for the gun.
Just bought a xr920 (that might be lost in a boating accident) amazing firearm..... with that I will say what you can't. Cough cough... work your gun like a man and use It like a tool! Be a man! Also guns are not ready when you get it. It takes 500 to a 1000 rounds to break them in and work the quirks out. So quit sending your shit in unless it blows up in your hand. In that case it hurt your girlfriend so they will understand the repair. If you guys want to hire me for customer service manager hit me up🤣🤣

I also wear a fitness band on training days. I've been using the WHOOP strap. Ehhhh. It's okay...
@@ShadowSystemsCorp as always, great customer service. Thanks
Would love to see a 48 version of this
I have an MR918 combat and love it.
What he said^. Keep your thumb OFF that slide release.
Just ordered my Shadow System 🙂 I'm an XD fan boy so this should be instresting
Well done
How come my Gun came with pmags
Just ordered my MR920
Best handgun I’ve ever owned
I have come across many different kinds of ammo that were under powered. I would disassemble the cartridge to find barely any powder. Ammo manufacturers must be cutting corners to keep up with demand. I have found it mostly in turkish made ammo. Buy American.
This is a weekly show? How haven't I know about this. I about to binge watch this like a single fat girl with a gallon of Ben & jerries!
Video starts at 2:15.
I got mine Yesterday. I love this gun. Only have 100 rounds though it so far but I already shoot it better than any of my Glocks.
Bruce! Love stories like this! Keep shooting and let us know if you need anything. Trevor

Be aggressive, b e aggressive
Reason number 226 why I love my MR920 Combat: I beat the living shit out of my gun, and after 3k rounds it still is my go to for EDC and range :)
When there's an issue, its the indian not the arrow.
I thought i was the only one who told people that i remember letting one guy shoot my Springfield XDM 40 he didn't pull the slide back far enough then he tried again and kept jamming the gun up dropping unfired rounds each time trying to cock it i had to show him how to cock a pistol lol
Who else liked this video “before” watching it?
It’s such a shame you guys have to deal with stuff like this. Not to say a first time gun owner would know, but usually your customers aren’t new gun owners, a
Why do I feel like you speaking to me lol. I been babying the hell out of mine lol. This is my safe queen i know it’s bad lol
@Myles O'Peter yup lol just got it. This and my LWRC 45 SMG my safe queen. But it’s getting round thru it this weekend
Enjoy the thing! Some scratches from use will add character to it.
@@James-vj5hz I did last Saturday and I love it lol
I love mine!
Be aggressive, be be aggressive
🤣
be....aggressive... B, E, aggressive!
Thx, cleaning and lube video please
Who is out here treating thier gun so gently weapons lobe to be man handled not babied
If you guys want to hire me for customer service manager hit me up🤣🤣
Was this a video made by Glock to rip on shadow systems? This is one of the most condescending, excuse ridden things I have ever seen.
Garbage! I regret buying this gun. Fake Glock. So complicated to field stripe.cheap. Junk! 800.00$ wasted
