When use the words like ‘clean’ and ‘toxic’ for foods it promotes unhealthy relationship with food. The best advice about nutrition I have heard on YT is “think what you can add to your meals and not subtract from”. So, if you take one or two white bread, add some protein (egg, paneer, peanut butter) and some raw veggies you have a good meal which will keep you full. However, if you eat half a loaf of “clean” homemade bread, you are still eating empty carbs. The more you restrict yourself from eating a particular kind of food, the more you will crave it. At least that’s true in my case.
Thank you! This! People are just promoting unhealthy relationships with food. Don't eat bread this don't eat pasta that. I'm sick of it Unless you have a medical condition you don't need to completely cut foods from your diet, especially if you like the taste
You just shouldn't constantly eat white flour products or if you do mix them with high fiber ingredients, to bring down the glycemic index. Yes there are people who eat white flour products with little fiber rich extras every day and get over 90. Helmut Schmidt got 96 and smoked menthol cigarettes like a chimney, but most of us wouldn't make it this long with this kind of lifestyle. In the end you can eat what you want, just making suggestions here.
@@Mnbvcxzlkjhg1 Maida is just carbs, don't eat over your daily calorie intake and you will be fine. At worst it'll make you obese. It's not toxic. I'm skinny guy so I need more carbs so I can eat alot of maida or just any carb. Adjust it to fit your daily carb requirements. An average adult male with daily diet of 2000-2500 calorie will need around 250g of carb. He can get that carb by eating just 20slices of bread but in doing so he will be so full for the day leaving to space for other nutrients and food. Therefore, moderation is key. Eat like 2slices of bread as toast each day that'll give you like 30g of carbs of your daily need of 250g. Complete the rest of your goal of carb by eating more nutrient dense and calorie dense food that doesn't make you full but also provides more mircos and macros like a spoon of peanut butter, a side of veg and 2 eggs etc. In short bread isn't bad, it's just people don't know what even is a diet. They'll just eat whatever they can find
Or simply use any bread as carbohydrate, control the quantity and get the nutrients from side dishes. Here in South, we eat white rice for generations and nobody considers it unhealthy even though it is just as healthy as white bread - empty calories. That is fine as long as you control the portion size and veggies and meat to get your nutrients.
