As always Dave does an outstanding job of showing us his journey and effort he puts into his passion. Thanks Dave!
You bet!
73 miles..... I'm so glad Ican witnesss indirectly at least. Lots of fun. Thanks, Dave
Incredible! Don't ever stop making photos
This is a prime example of effort and reward as those images were totally on another level Dave and the fact the behind the scenes and the work involved in capturing these images really show the commitment you have to your profession. Truly incredible work
Thanks glad you liked it!
Hiking 73 miles for one photo! That is RIDICULOUS! Jeeeeeeez!
That is some insanely beautiful hiking though, just amazing wild scenery. And well done for taking such a steep route off trail, that looks like a real quad burner!
Come visit sometime! The wilderness out here is huge. You can hike hundreds of miles through it and see no one. Not quite Alaska, but close:)
I continue to be fascinated by the country you are hiking!
Me too! Gets bigger and bigger the more I explore it:)
Just an amazing trip...thanks for taking us along!
Stunning location and stunning images as always Dave...
simply mesmerizing! that is some dedication :)
Thanks Dave!
Awesome report of your trip. Thanks for sharing with us. Very much appreciated.
Thank you Dave
Question for Sunday: How much does your loaded pack weigh and what % of that is camera gear vs backpacking gear vs food?
Great question! Thanks Bradley. I'll do that one this Sunday, no prob:)
Enjoyed as ever Dave thanks for posting and lovely photos ..stay safe Bro
Gorgeous location! Thanks for sharing this with us
A spectacle, thanks Dave
Waw, amazing Dave! Good luck!
Incredible. You are truly living a life without regret.
Beautiful
Great Video Dave !! Beautiful Scenery 👍🏼🙏🏼✅😎
Beautiful location!
This is fantastic to see! I grew up in Seattle, but never did that kind of hiking. It is great to see it through your eyes, thanks!
Outstanding as always! Planning on finding a route from where you are to RP this late spring before the vegetation takes over more solid ground! I hope to run to you one of those days up there somewhere!
Hey Dave..sensational video mate..you are the best...just love to have your incredible dedication and energy levels...keep the coming.
Lots of great insights explanations and fantastic scenery, well done Dave the best channel out their.
Just Magical Dave, truly wonderful area, you are living the dream, no Lockdown worries or keeping clear of people.
I'd never make it! Love the shots you got. It really helped to see where you put your focus and f-stops. Thanks!
Magnificent country and what weather to explore it in! I'll bet it's really sketchy when the weather turns, but it's a treat to see it like that.
73 miles that's insane 😳 but again it is all worth it look at that view my goodness. Thanks for sharing those amazing videos .
Finally someone who knows what alpen glow is. I find this term miss used so many times for direct sunset light. Awesome hike and shots, I wish we had more areas like this Europe.
Another cool video and hiking trip, thanks for taking us along.
Glad you enjoyed it
That the way we like it❤️
Great video Dave, love your comments on what you look for to edit your shots. All your shots look great, I can't imagine hiking 70+ mile to get great shots, you are the man. One question I have is your statement about hidden areas on the topographical maps and how you determine where there might or might not be any water supply. Is it possible to show us how you look at one of these maps and make that determination. I know that you have limited time on your Q&A video but perhaps on a later video.
Thanks again
Chuck Gaffan
Thank you Dave,I will make a kine master vedeo with the help of this beautifull images,
I truly enjoyed this video, your hike and commentary. Thanks!
Awesome, thank you!
Awesome scenery and great video Dave😊
Thanks 👍
Just amazing Dave! Your effort and dedication are so inspiring! Thanks man!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I like this video😍
You are THE MAN. Long loop hike for some good shots. What range are you in?
Nice photography 😉
Absolutely brilliant. This is life. Although the sunset isn't perfect, it is way worth that your every second of your effort! Thanks for sharing Dave!
Thanks!
Very nice
LOVE your work! Always enjoy your videos & commentary. How many miles do you rack up setting up the video clips? Really like the one @ 14:00. I'm certain you make an EXCELLENT photo tour guide.
Great video! I appreciate the tips on looking for water. There have been a few of times during my adventuring that I've found myself at locations with less water than I wanted but with no water within reach. Learning to read the landscape for those necessities is a valuable skill that I'll make sure to practice more.
You're welcome! Really glad you like that type of backpacking adventure. It's a great skill set to learn. Have fun out there
Dear, sir! A very big THANK to you for this amazing video! You are such an inspirational and great Photographer! Wishing you safe hikes and please stay healthy and safe all the time! Best wishes from Sweden to you, sir!
Anytime. Thanks for watching. Call me Dave, sirs wear suits;)
Like that 👍🏻
Fantastic views. We are all indebted to you for taking us places most of us can only dream about. At 64 years old with bad knees and back I’m relegated to easy day hikes to public locations. I’m envious of your skills and ability to plan and hike. A couple questions, what camera are you using now - is it still the D810? How many lenses to you carry with you? And lastly, do you use game trails often? Thanks!
Another great video Dave, thanks! As for the image in 14:40 (with the near perfect reflection), I feel like that would be an amazing shot if the lake were frozen over, making the reflection a bit more diffuse. It's a tough one, because while it's a beautiful image, I agree the amount of texture is distracting
Agree. Add a dusting of snow. Even better!
@@DaveMorrow That works too! haha
Dave, beautiful of course. Love the work your doing. Keep it up. I’m a self taught photographer and your videos are helping and to wonderful to watch. Dave Morrow (colorized) = Ansel Adams! Yep, I said it.
Nice
Great video Dave and love the alpine landscape. The Utah photo is great too. I wonder if the composition would benefit if the sky was darkened slightly in the top LH corner? And yes I'd agree, that heather in the foreground (if I'm right) might look better if it's darkened down too, as the foreground and background are in the same tonal range...
Dave I wish That I could join you for those beautiful sceneries. I Malta unfortunately we don't have mountains and snow.
Nice video and photos.
Thanks Roger!
Considering panorama, Dave.
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it
Great video! Where I live, in Northwest Ontario, it's hard to venture far off trail because of the dense alder tree growth everywhere. I kind of envy this freedom you enjoy.
Slide alder is the best:)
Good
Great video! Oh by the way....you are crazy! Ha! But a good crazy! Thanks for sharing your back country adventures.....b
What an absolutely beautiful location, and an effort to get there for sure. When there's clear skies like that I usually take the opportunity to shoot some astro, do you shoot much of the night sky in those ranges? I bet they'd be beautiful by star light.
What a Spot, you called it. Another great one Dave. So where in the Cascades is this? If you want to keep it to yourself, I understand, I probably would.
You’re so GOAT on those off trail steep inclines (my knees hurt thinking of your descent)...love the shot behind you the most .... some of my portfolio never feels “done”
And feet! My feet hurt thinking about it, too!
My knees used to hurt too. It happens when muscles get stronger faster than connective tissue . KT Tape will help, but there are ways to train that remove the issue completely , they do take time -> amzn.to/2PrRXiQ If anything besides muscles are hurting, then that's a bad sign.
@@DaveMorrow thanks! I’ll research that!
Stay safe bro 👍
Thanks bro! Good to hear from you.
Thanks for taking us along... Any concerns for Mtn Lions, and Bears ? Stay Safe !!!
Thanks for watching! Did a video on that 2 sundays ago:) Answers in depth.
@@DaveMorrow Yes, I caught it after watching this one. Thanks Dave say safe
👍👍👍👍👍
What camera do you use to film yourself? When you point out location of where you where and where you are heading it does seem quite a long way, how many miles do you estimate? Do you have a night symphony from wildlife around? Definitely great hikes, are you doing it solo or with company? Cheers. By the way are back using the Nikon D810? And still using the Nikon 28-200mm?
Amazing scenery Dave, just amazing. Can I ask what camera you are filming yourself with now.
Go Pro Hero 7
Loving these! Question - I love how you are cycling through displays in live view -- histogram, level, etc. What's your process for programming those views to a button and cycling through them on-the-fly?
Video coming out on that this month! Good question Eric.
@@DaveMorrow Thank you so much!! :)
Awesome video! Logistical question: What do you use for the mosquitoes?!
Thanks Grady. Nothing... just get used to it. The chemicals in that stuff is nasty!
If you cropped the Rocky Mountain photo toward the center it would look great!!
Maybe.. something about that image is off...
Dave Where are you, It looks like the Olympics
Wow your videos have improved a lot. Are you still using a GoPro to record? What about audios?
Thanks! Same camera just edited the video. Google dave morrow camera gear. It's all on there
Hi Dave: Do you carry any protection(s) against wild animals such as Bears? How about anti-snake venom?
Great video. Made me want to get out there and start shooting! Just wondering how you deal with being on your own. Do you take a Kindle or just enjoy the quiet and peacefulness of being in the mountains?
Thanks! Love being alone. Kindle and podcasts on phone so save weight.
Dave, you video is superb, are you still using a GoPro?
Thanks! Yeah. Hero 7. Bet the new ones are even better

May I ask your pack's weight?
I hope it was for one of my photos.
I saw one of yours at the petrol station while getting balerinas on way to trailhead.
what a man. 73 mile hike? I do you know at the end of the site the weather was awful or the scene was not stunning. A great gamble. How did you get the photographs of yourself walking? Did you set up a separate camera for each of these segments? But kudos for your persistence, encourage
Thanks Philip!
And I complain because I have to drive 1 hour to a location 😅
