What I thought too, personal TF2 experience xD.
It's was nightmarish when bots took over TF2 servers.
the problem i see with most rage quitters is the fight between new players, casual and hardcore players. Specially the first two groups just want to enjoy the game and collect stuff and do the challenges. But the hardcores? They are keeping impossible to rank up and unlock the challenges because they always win and destroy everyone who dare to fight them. Wich is why having a ranked up match could solve a little more the loss for ragequit, but hey, what about adding also a single player and offline mode similar to Nitro Fueld? If players just want to unlock stuff and then later actually play online matches, feels the right solution.

That is EXACTLY what I have been trying to say all along too. Totally agree with you, man. The massive problem I have with any of these games, is that you will always have one idiot in a match that's going to do everything they can to make everyone else's life, a living hell. Particularly if they are only casual or beginner player. OR you're always going to have idiots that do livestreams and then completely mock and trash other players because those people are NOT as good as they are, and then throw out that irritating, 'GET GUD', statement. I'm REALLY tired of that. Whereas if we had an offline/single player mode pretty much, oh I don't know, EVERY SINGLE CRASH BANDICOOT GAME, then problem solved. And we can play these games offline and only go offline when we want to. Also bear in mind though, that at SOME POINT, TFB and Activision are going to have to implement an offline/single player mode or campaign anyway. Because WHEN the servers go down or get shut down permanently (not if, WHEN), and said game doesn't have a hefty campaign or offline/single player mode (Crash Team Rumble, case in point), you're done with your game.

I wish there wasn’t a timer would only start when there’s 4 players on both sides, and cancel when more than 1 person leaves on either side. That way no one gets stuck with 2 or 3 bots before the match even begins. 1 bot is usually manageable and winnable in some cases, but two is just grating

I'm guilty of quitting when I see a bot on my team in the matchmaking
I feel like adding a ping system could be useful (or if there is one already, make the bots prioritize following pings) so that when you have bots in your game, you can still direct them to the areas they would be most helpful
This is actually a pretty neat idea.
For me, the worst thing about Crash Team Rumble is how the majority of the fanboys are determined to hate it for the usual arbitrary reasons.
"It should have been made by naughty dog!"

Ugh. When are the people who grew up with the PS1 Crash games gonna get over their nostalgia and stop demanding every new Crash game to be more like those older games? I mean, I grew up with Twinsanity, but you don't see me ragging on every new Crash game just because it's not like Twinsanity.

Bots are honestly a real nuisance with this game. One of the last matches I played (which was featured in my own, most recent video), is where I had 2-bots on my team. And we lost with only 250-ish Wumpas to our names, solely 'cause the bots are about as dumb as a pile of rocks. Resulting in every match being lost.
Also, LOVE all the Invader Zim stuff in this video! Really outdid yourself with this one!🤣
I agree with these points. Though Leaver Buster should probably distinguish between bad internet disconnects and people manually quitting, not punishing people for having bad internet. Another thing it could do is checking if you've left/disconnected a match twice in a row in a short timespan and punish the player accordingly.
For the bots, having them cheat a bit is a good start. Though long-term, the AI will probably need an update in some shape or form. In this day and age it's possible to craft learning algorithms and have the AI learn from player data and practicing against itself over and over. Crash Team Rumble is a quite advanced game, but so is Smash Bros. Ultimate for example with how much movement there is and the sheer amount of characters, and yet the AI in Ultimate isn't actually that bad on the harder difficulties. Ultimate is quite different from traditional fighting games and yet the AI can take on most casual players I think and can even catch pros off guard sometimes. It *should* be possible somehow to make the Crash Team Rumble AI at least not completely brain dead lol...
I just experienced the Bots And not only were they slurping Derp juice before a match... But THEY ALSO SEEM TO TAKE A SLUP OF DERP JUICE IN THE MIDDLE OF A MATCH, and Boy does it get frustrating when the entire other team is After you and your trying to survive and your calling your Human teammate(s) to help... but they are busy Questioning the game because the see a bot or two that are Taking another Sip of Derp juice.
And then because they are over Questioning the game, you then get Turned into Bandicoot Stew after being killed by a Female N. Tropy... FOR THE 19TH TIME TODAY!!!!!
And then by the end of it... you begin to question why you bought this game in the first place.

The Bots in the game are the equivalent of reaching out your fist like a parked car and watch them humorously keep running into it.
Or another analogy flies running into a Bug Zapper.
The one thing for sure to make Crash Team Rumble fair for everyone is that there should be a rule that you can’t leave a match early and also not have people rage quit to much. It will really counts as a penalty as this is going to teach them a lesson that they shouldn’t leave early unless something happens to the internet connection. If the internet connection gets disconnected, it shouldn’t punish the player for doing that. If the player constantly leaves the match early, then they won’t be able to play online anymore. I feel like bots should be able to take down enemies easily. Maybe a bot player will have any difficulty level depending if the player is really good or not. Another thing is matchmaking. There are players that wanted to play casually and there are some that wanted to play competitively and it’s isn’t fair if a player gets paired up with someone who’s has a higher level than them. I think that Crash Team Rumble has the potential to be the greatest multiplayer game ever, but which all of these issues, I think that Toys for Bob should fix them 1st.
Sounds great in theory, but in Rumble, without a time limit, my team will score 1900 then completely torture the enemy team with spawn killing & bank killing until they eventually give up and leave anyways
Leaver buster sounds bad. What if you leave due to poor internet connection, and you are forced to wait 5 minutes to play a game you didn’t even choose to leave.
One of the things i hate is that sometimes your character glitch and clip to another area of the map whilst you're playing
that happened to me and i died a few times because of it
A temporary fix for this issue I think they could do is have a backfill system for players who leave though that might force a character select within the actual match but that honestly doesn't sound too bad since it's a hero based game and if the team is a bit unbalanced when the game actually starts you can swap to the role you lost afterwards
They have someting like this in Overwatch and I can't even count the amount of times I've joined a match just to instantly (and I do mean INSTANTLY) see the "Defeat" screen.

I can only name a handful of times rage quitting this game. The thing is, I hate being hunted constantly. When did this become GTA O? I even rage quit once because bots kept using the ping system once every three seconds (no joke). They could also do better balancing some of the overpowered heroes like Cortex and Dingodile.
Split screen would be a good way to help them. Lots of people have more than one person at their house and passing the controller around sucks
Can you imagine if the new chacater added to the game is CrashBot for all bots

Tbh, theirs things in this video I agree/disagree with. On the on one hand, I do like the idea of increasing the timer to look at everything you’ve earned and making the ai smarter, but on the other hand, I don’t like the idea of leaver buster, because what if someone left for something important, there getting punish for it. Overall great video, just don’t agree with everything.
I once had a bot just standing in place and constantly asking for help.
Main issue I have is even by a slim chance of friends vs friends it still feels unbalanced. I usually play Catbat (wish their basic attacks could be buffed up a little as getting pinned by two to three dingodilles is hellish.) Same case with Ripper-Roo only if his health could be buffed up to help with getting dog pilled from Cortex as well as Tropy’s and Dingodilles as not all team members can help in time and I rather try to hold my own when I need to multitask.
I agree with all of these points, ESPECIALLY making the bots boosted. A little more mobility, a higher defence stat, more wumpa capacity, and more health.
People will always drop out, whether from poor internet connection or rage-quit, but if they're replaced by a boosted bot - it would be better than the current derp juice they're drinking 😅
3:15 the bots have the same brain as Crash bandicoot
I was playing early today, love the game and we just had one bot in the lobby doing nothing other than walk forward, so you'd just find him in a wall or something later on. He kept flipping teams and when my team was on a streak of stopping the enemies (we had the bot) from doing nothing we would've won if the bot would've just scored 200 points. We held them for around 5 minutes from scoring but sadly we just lost after cause the bot did nothing but stop 6 wumpas from being scored the whole game that lasted 15 minutes. 😂😂😂 Im not mad I just find it stupidly funny and this video helps itterate that problem even more. Great video and hopefully they fix this soon or find a new work around (Also we had 5 bots in a game before and it was blatantly obvious cause there we're ones doing things and the bots doing nothing). Better luck for the future Canadian Guy Eh.
In SMITE there's a deserter penalty for leaving before a match, but it's always a small one. About half the durration of a match, but if you do it frequently it stacks up. Then there's a seperate stronger penalty for leaving mid-match and not returning to it before it's over that lasts about an hour. I think both penalties are super fair and keep a lot of players trying to strive to keep good will with the system. Doesn't hurt there's mild bonuses for having good will and not getting deserter.

Sometimes players get an awful connection or lag so I don't think they should be penalized for logging out or being disconnected. Instead, I think they should make it so that the bots can spawn as any character instead of just Crash or Coco and buff their AI/health, such as a really good blocker bot like Dingodile or N. Tropy defending the ally or enemy bank or a Cortex/Ripper Roo bot with increased accuracy AI helping with gem platforms. That way, players can focus on scoring or capturing gem paths while the bots defend the bases, and if a player logs out or gets logged out for any reason, it won't matter so much if the bots actually provide a challenge to take down.

No leaver buster, my game crashes during a match
Honestly yesterday was the day I got really annoyed with this game because I had so many people quit because either they they die too many times and quit or they leave because the opposite team is too op. Im so glad that season 2 will have ranked matches
Okay, full disclosure? Just before watching this, I may have…already known about this system and abused it to get a couple rewards.
Yeah, while humans N.Brio and N. Gin were off partying, I was bullying the bots at base to get the “20 Quantum Wall Hits” and “10 KOs” trophies.
I thought I was the only one who thought the match making sucks and the booster bots suck. They’ll get stuck just trying to collect one relic throughout the entire match.

The main issues with Crash Team Rumble in my opinion are:
The stupid as fuck bots. And they are always only Crash or Coco.
And it should not be allowed to have the same character in a team more than once.
The game has a lot of potential, but I fear in one year, no one plays it anymore.
I'm fed up with the bots in nearly every match. With people rage quitting all the time with no consequences but the remaining team to loose. If someone quits mid game, don't only punish with a timer to join again. Reset character levels. Punish them hard because in thia game, rage quit means loose for the others.
Some character could also need a nerf. But the bots are the biggest problem.
I think I’ve seen bots attempt to collect a relic, and can’t do it, because they’ve got max relics… and then they try again and again to collect it

I mean it's so good it can be used for a variety of situations, like studios rejecting the request of the WGA & SGA strikes. Which hilariously is costing them more money than agreeing to them.

I do wonder if the fact the bots are so unrefined at this point is the reason they haven't bothered adding much single player function yet.
Also yeah, I agree on the match counter, I always feel like I'm in a rush to go through the results screens. Maybe have the countdown only start on the player select but the actual time be shorter.
I like how no one is talking about how garbage the season rewards are…

I feel like another good way to fix the bot pandemic is for Toys for Bob to increase advertising for Crash Team Rumble. More advertising -> more new players -> less chance for bots to appear. It’s a great game, and I feel like everyone should sink a few hours into it.

I agree with this as well as adding more stuff to do in the game. The game as it is now is not very appealing. Only one mode and nothing that make it stand out of the sea of online only games. If they do this at launch I would hd been happy to pay for this game but they didn't.
In my opinion, the bots should only be placeholders until the game can fill in real players, like how rocket league does it.
When a player joins late it should give them the details of the team and the map and then give them 40 seconds to choose who they want, and they take the place of one of the bots.
Plus, releasing the game on pc and switch would help 🤣
The reason about bots, which only happens when there's certain players don't have a copy of a game or somehow rage quit due to mid-match when against veteran or pro players that played very offensively.😐
Tips for ending up having a bot:
1. Do not rage quit. This will result having a weaker team.
2. Know your roles. This is a essential one, scorers should grab as many wumpas as they can. Blockers should be highly focus on guarding the enemy goal. Boosters always goes for gem pads.
3. Grab those relics. For those that are bad at grinding relics that will lead a match a complete disaster. Then you let your opponents get a hold on epic relic station.
4. People quit for not having blockers.
This one is a little warning, if they don't a have a blocker on a team. This will lead hard mode matches for fending off veteran and pro players.

8:10. Absolutely NOT. I paid the game, paid the psplus/xbox live, paid the battlepass and that is the only mode and thing you can play. You can’t keep me 5/10 minutes unable to play. Different thing is if you leave matches systematically, but not after a quit when your teammates can’t play strategies objectives and you wanna change the lobby close to the game ends. Do i really have to point out that people still don’t know how to play?

Is it accurate that the matchmaking will not seek out replacement players when the next match is within 10 seconds of starting?
If so, the fact that players are automatically queued for the another match after the previous match’s conclusion is an issue.
By the time I’ve sent any good teammates or opponents friend requests and checked my stats, challenge progress and unlockables, the next match is within 7 seconds of starting, and I don’t have time to choose a hero or power to account for the map or my teammates’ selections.
I often back out within 10 seconds of a match is beginning, just so I have time to get my bearings.
I see this was point 2.
To be honest though, the dumb bots have helped me with the Bank Behemoth and Dastardly Denier badges

yup bots suck and more and more matches are just majority bots while people wait for the next event, it wouldn't be so bad if they at least split the bots up between the two teams (in the lobby) but too many times my team is mostly bots while the other team are all 50-100 level players. Now I don't even play to win, I just play to achieve challenges.
I actually think bots are ruining the experience a bit. It seems like over the last while some people, even high level players, aren’t even trying to win and will end up doing worse than the bots.
Also, here's an idea. Make the "competitive" gamemode, an actual competitive gamemode and release an unranked too, so that you keep casuals playing quickplay, and us competitive players get to play with others with similar skills to us.
That way no one rage quits because of "tryhards" and/or useless teammates.

Sure the bot issue is bad but there is one more. Not sure how it works on xbox, but on ps you have to pay 10€ per month to play, and i cant believe someone wants to do that each month

The only thing that I want in this game is a ranking system similar to Splatoon and rewards by achieving specific ranks. So you have solo rank or group rank and that would be a choice if you join with more players. I would like to see my W/L ratio in this game too.
Also I'm pretty sure waiting more will lead to more people leaving out of frustration so I don't understand that logic

I disagree over everyone being okay with bots not doing things because that is total bs. A bot can play like a human it has been proven in arena shooters like unreal tournament where you have objectives and vehicles to use. They were really smart in unreal tournament 3 for sure based on the difficulty setting pretty much decided how good their shooting was all it did. Toya for bob can program smart bots if they want to they just don't want to. At least program it to go to collect objectives or defend an area of the map.

Completely agree!!! This is why I stopped playing (for now). Another thing they need to do is also to make it more transparent for new players that there's a bot on their team so they can plan around that. They make it look like it's a lvl 1 player but it should straight up just say Bot.

The absolute WORST thing about these kinds of games, is that you're always going to have SOMEONE in that match that is going to do absolutely everything they can to completely TRASH the experience for newcomers/beginners., and then have the audacity to mock them online in livestreams (plenty of those) or throw out the irritating 'GET GUD', statement. TFB and Activision, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, NEED to implement a significant single player/offline campaign or mode ASAP, for those people who DON'T want to have to go online for a match and just want to play casually and unlock content as they do it, oh I don't know, like EVERY OTHER CRASH BANDICOOT GAME!!!!!!!!!. I disagree about putting extra time to find another player because the player take long to choose and it annoying. So after the timer ends find the players and start the match right away or put 15 seconds to choose.
Gonna have to disagree on one of your points. Rocket has that same feature you mentioned about the matchmaking timer. Rocket League, along with some other games, have this same feature but I'll use Rocket League as an example for now. The only thing that you'd get is a bunch of AFK babies and griefers in your matches. Too often I'd be trying to hold my own but I get constantly buttraped in a corner while his teammate carries the ball into the goal like its a bouquet. Same thing here. They'll just drop their controllers and scroll through Tiktok until the match ends. Its not preferable but may as well let them quit and queue up again so they can hopefully be of use to some other team and not twice the bots. This also just makes people quit the game and go play something else and I dont think Toys for Bob can afford any players leaving at the moment if they care about this game as it stands.
Othe than that, I agree with the bot ideas and everything else.

The bots never have a grey dot because they’re always ready. They’re can’t be not ready like a real player. Also they always have Level 1 Battlepass and simple regular name like “Clyde” or “Carol” instead of name like “Nightwing479” or “BingeLoverCTR” or whatever
Hej there, I agree that there is a problem with the bots, but I disagree with your solutions. For me, a better solution would be to not use bots at all. why not let us playing 3vs3 or even 2vs2 (with automaticly 2x multiplicator) if there are not many online. just let do an algorithm the work to manage this. no handicap from the beginning thanks to this.
and quitting has to be allowed. because there is no chance to vote to give up when the game is hopeless, like it is possible in other games. and when teammates are losing so hard, that they want to quit, then let them quit. This will change nothing: its the teammate who cannot help or the bot who cannot help. I was only one day quitting a few times because of playing with two bots and losing so hard. the other team was only interested in killing me rather than scoring to win the match. It was hopeless for me to fight against 3 guys following me all the time. It would be eben more painful with a timer and I think in that moment I would stop playing at all. I don't have time for this as casual player. It would be sad to see the game dying because of an annoying timer.

One time I played with a full team of bots and the enemy team was full with no bots and my team or should I say I still won and I have video proof
