And being available on PC. Nitro Fueled was great as it is otherwise - I don't even need 60 FPS crap for such a game. Maybe just a next gen release that improves the few issues.
The Quantum Races and Rift Apart ideas are pretty smart ideas. Think of the possibilities these brand new tracks could bring to the table if CTR 2 was in development.
IMO online cups would be better in which you have to lock in driving style from the beginning. It has the same effect as the quantum race idea by playing different tracks but doesn’t risk lowering performance etc
Things I would like to see: - Nitro Kart Adventure Mode - More GPs - More skins for each character - All the tracks that were added in the OG CTRNF Grand Prixs returning - Quantum Mask power ups - Team Races Mode (Both on & offline) - The Return of Daily, Weekly & Pro Challenges
A 10th dimension track would be really cool. Imagine the Easter eggs and cool references they could put throughout the track, this is also a great opportunity to add characters such as Evil Crash, Evil Twins, etc.
As far as the idea of warping between tracks goes, I previously suggested a Twinsanity themed track that sees racers warping between the four main locations of that game over the course of a single race. Now THAT'S fan service! (:
I can imagine the Rift idea being used, but in a slightly different way: The same track, but in a different dimension/time. I think changing to a whole new track would be fun, but risky; they’d probably rather stylize the same track to be futuristic, prehistoric, alien, etc.
The Lani-Loli shortcuts is ingenious! Love that idea! I could also imagine the entire game being built around Quantum Races. Could be the game's main selling point.
I personally would like to see the anti-gravity track sections from the original Nitro Kart make a return being more fleshed out, as well as perhaps a deeper story in adventure mode.

I just want to see ALL the characters. Crash On The Run is really doing us all a great service by digging deep and finding even the most obscure characters to include. I already thought about a Tropy Boss Track in the past where each lap would be the same map layout within a different time period (prehistoric, present, future), with the time period changing the elements and details around the track, while still being the same track in theory.
now i wanna theory craft quantum abilities in ctr 2: lani loli: as video described, can phase obstacles and shortcuts in n out of existence (turn) akano: similar to the golden mushroom, this one would operate on a strict time limit when first activated, but can be toggled on and off consecutively. when toggled on, will protect you by spinning around you (similar to regular masks, but without the speed boost), along with providing higher jumps and decreased gravity, allowing for massive jumps and skips at the expense of harder control, rendering skill essential. (speed) kupuna wa: similar to the clock item, however this doesnt make anyone spin out or lose their fire. when activated, her chant can be heard across the whole map. enemy players will simply maintain their speed on their end, while on your end everyone else has slowed down dramatically for 1-2 secs. if someone were to pass a player using kupuna wa, itd just look like they got a massive temporary speed boost (probably 1.25x faster than blue fire) (acceleration) ika ika: probably the hardest to come up with an idea for. since reversing gravity would be very messy in a kart racer, my best idea is similar to the final boss in crash 4, where everyone else's screen gets temporarily flipped upside down for maybe 3-5 seconds. controls remain the same otherwise, and skilled players would be able to learn how to control the upside down mechanics (all around). open to suggestions, this is just me theory crafting for fun c:
This all sounds like great ideas, but there's 1 thing I think HAS to return: ANTI. GRAVITY. RACING. Imagine how much better the anti gravity segments can be with newer hardware! It gives me chills just thinking about it.
I miss the monthly Grand prix a lot. I remember being super excited to see your video showing what the next GP will bring to the table. I go back to CTR at least once a week just to play one or two races. Love your content by the way and your ideas are amazing.
Few things I think would be neat: 1: some additional utility of the wumpa fruit during a race (use for little boosts for example, or change the level of flame you get from boost pads) 2: short cuts designed specifically to allow players who are behind to catch up. Probably should require some skill to use based on how much of a benefit it provides. 3: having the ability to toggle which items you want in a race (like that of battle mode) 4: make the engines have their own special qualities sort of like how drift had the better boost from drifting initially. Something small like turn class being able to decrease their drift angle or acceleration getting a small boost from driving in straight lines for a given distance. Outside of the specifics: more flexible customization, computer players using short cuts at higher difficulty, and more items. Also they probably should rebalance the items to make them more competitive at top play races (like see sonic robo kart 2 SPB instead of current missle or electric orb) or give some recovery window to not lose sacred fire.
They need to add a mode were you can have two characters in one car (like when everyone thought that was gonna happen when they saw chick and stew in one car in the rustland trailer)
Hear me out: crash team racing 2 is free to play has dedicated servers and cross-play enabled, the seasonal content is a battle pass like the Grand Prixs before but they last 3 months and come with 4 new tracks instead of just 1, the game becomes an Esport with cash prizes for competitive events and the story mode is expanded every season.
I would love for more freedom for customize tournaments and races, give more room for people's creativity to flow. for example, maybe you could customize a race (offline) and choose all the characters, their karts, their skins, their driving styles, etc... as well as number of paricipants (from 2 to 8/16, depending on what the max number would be), maybe you could even modify stuff like the item list or add modifiers or handicaps, like for example, if you want to have a boss race against Tropy, you can give him the ability to throw hazards at you like the actual boss races in adventure mode, custom races are not a must for me, but they'd be fun to have, imagine all the youtube videos with crazy ideas or new series people could do with it. what I would consider a must though is custom tournaments as I said, just allow the player to create their custom cup with 4 tracks of their picking at least. but I'd personally add the same ideas I mentioned above for custom races, and maybe some crazy option like 'last placed racer of each race gets eliminated' or something.
We gotta update the battle mode make different types of levels and modes. Also make a team racing Mode for online and offline. You can't truly call it (Team Racing) without the (Team) concept in there. Lastly i feel that in offline mode make the CPU harder to race against. Make them take shortcuts and and match the level of your speed depending on what style you use.
I like the Quantum Race and Rift Apart ideas. It would make the racetracks more fun and interactive. As well as make the races more strategy oriented. Taking the mask idea further, maybe they can grant special buffs to power-ups depending on the mask/engine you choose. Lani-Loli gives power-ups a warp effect, Akano increases the AOE of power-ups. Kupuna-wa increases the duration of speed boosts, buffs/debuffs, and Ika Ika allows antigravity/off-road access and longer jumps for bigger boosts. Aku Aku can boost defensive capabilities for power-ups like stronger shields, but can also allow you to use things like bowling bombs for double jumps and bubble shields for underwater driving. Uka Uka would boost the power of offensive power-ups, like making the homing energy orb to trigger nearby traps or cause beakers TNT/nitro crates to detonate. An idea I'd like to see implemented is an offline way to unlock characters/skins/paint jobs etc. I don't have internet at home, so doing in-game challenges as an alternative method of uncloaking stuff would be really appreciated. A fun idea for me is a fully customized stage creator. It's fun making your own custom stages. And not just racetracks, I want to make battle arenas, stunt courses, custom cup races. That'd be awesome. A cool throwback to CTR's roots (aka Diddy Kong Racing) would be boss races/boss challenges. Where instead of going against just a racer, you also have to fight a boss like the Bearminator, Megamix, Rusty Walrus, Madame Amberly, or Mecha-Bandicoot. It doesn't have to be part of the storyline, just another scared idea. You could also have an online component to it: see which racer can beat the boss first/the quickest etc. An idea for the battle arena can be demolition derby. No frills or anything just full on Monster Truck Mayhem.
Imagine if in one of the quantom races it was also an elimination mode, so the track changes each lap and the last person to finish a lap gets eliminated but then they can spectate and while spectating can alter the track by phasing things in and out and placing items everywhere which would appear from rifts
If there were to be a CTR 2 I would love -Crash 4 engine -New Tracks and Adventure Mode Story -Zero Gravity Tracks -Itemless Mode and Cup Mode For Online -A more dedicated Online Experience -More balanced Engine classes
Just about all of those would be perfect for a CTR 2. And maybe they could make the anti-gravity mechanic as fluid and fun as Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. (Or even have that slightly more polished)
Zero Gravity would be a bad idea imo. A lot of people thought CTR is just another Mario Kart clone, adding Zero Gravity won’t help when MK8DX still going big
This may be a PS4/PS5 (due to stock scalpers) XB PC and NS. I may have gone overboard with this idea. If Wumpa league don’t work. (As a sports/party game? Or this could be a free expansion to CTRNF. Story can be a custom player (your avatar) and some crash characters helping or stopping you or the team. CTRNF modes may be present here but here’s what fans need: Mission mode, solo/team race/cup with race and track settings: items: on/off, driver assist, Courses that can be in reverse or mirrored. AI from 2-20. Activities include: Stunt devil, zone keeper (Need for speed influence), eliminator, survival race/battle, outrun and beat the clock (Grid references), item thief (stealing your items if they hit you) or crazy taxi (picking up npc’s and taking them to the spot before racers catch you). I love the quantum rift idea! They could do so much with it! As for the engine types, CTRNF had one big issue that broke the balance: Max speed achievable with masks and USF/blue flame was tied to the speed stat, but the air U turn was always maxed out no matter what. If they removed the U turn or tied it to the turn stat, OR maxed speed out with the mask and USF, then the game would be completely different. I remember in the beginning, before everyone mastered the U turn, turn characters were dominating tracks such as Hot Air Skyway. But the content is a huge issue. I'm not sure I would be able to settle down for less tracks and characters from the start. I just wish that somehow they could just bring everything over and keep building up the stuff from there. And I'm not much of a fan of the new visuals either.
This is why these types of games that aren’t primarily story driven should just continue to add updates every year rather than bring out sequels where they have to start over again. Everything already in the game would remain and they could simply add new tracks, characters and game modes. Fix the god awful loading times and add dedicated servers and leaderboards.

Great idea for a video! I love a speculation videos especially since we don’t actually get information because Activision doesn’t give a crap about crash bandicoot fans in their content drought! But I love ideas they get me pumped even more for the next games. I’m so ready for a new crash team racing game. I debated even buying this game and ended up pre-ordering anyways and that is literally probably my all-time favorite game. I beat the developer times in two days!

4:07 Just putting it out there, why not do something similar to thathe Elementals from Wrath of Cortex as well? Have them be linked to the evil characters while the Quantum masks are linked to the heroes.
My idea for fixing the driving styles/weight classes was to give all the classes the stats their graphs suggest, give the Turning style the ability to make even wider drifts (if you hold the stick outwards) than any other class along with slightly more powerful boosts to offset their terrible Speed, and slightly weaker boosts for the Speed and Drift classes since their fast speeds mean they don't need as powerful of boosting options to stay ahead.
Given that the entire strategy of CTR was "Constantly drift" all you just did was making Turning OP as they will constantly have strong boosts and take the inside of turns while the others can simply not... Turning at base has an advantage in turn heavy tracks, speed in straights, and drift is the mixture. This is impossible to balance, in fact speed tends to always be better but due to having less control means it is easier to hit them with items or leave items which ruin their drifts and being hit by an item can easily cost them matches.
A few ideas I though of after watching this video for a CTR2 would be: - New tracks based on Post-Naughty Dog games such as Twinsanity and Crash 4 levels - Add Tawna (IAT), N. Tropy (F), Evil Crash, Fake Coco, The Female Lab Assistant, Evil Twins, Elora, Bianca, Ripto, The Sorceress, and Willy Wumpa Cheeks as playable characters (The latter 3 were cut) - Add skins from old and new Crash games - Have the character designs based off of Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time
Obviously it should not be pay to win or even have payable unlocking options. People are already going to be paying $60-$70 for an original CTR sequel so they shouldn't be expected to pay more. You win, you unlock things. You adventure, you unlock things. And maybe have the wumpa coins, but not having bonuses on solely online/ weekend play. Also new versions of Roo's Tubes and Electron Avenue would be awesome!
Aight 👏, here's some of the stuff I would like to see in a potential CTR NF sequel; •I want the sequel to go down the Mario Kart route, & by that I mean add new types of vehicles, like bikes, giant wheel-type vehicles, etc. (I just *really* wanna race around on Crash's bike from Warped 😔) •the anti-gravity mechanic from CNK to return, but be more refined so it'll be more fun to play on said anti-gravity sections •a team mechanic similar to the one that's *also* from CNK, especially cuz this would _hypothetically_ be called "Crash Team Racing 2", so you gotta add some sort of team mechanic in there 🤷♂️ •the tracks from Tag Team Racing to return. Of course, they would have to be majorly redesigned so they'd both fit the game's mechanics a lot better, *and* be more fun & engaging to play on •I also want Activision & whoever else making this to give *a* *lot* more attention to the battle mode, like adding in new battle arenas every season (on top of the tracks, obviously), add in some new & fun modes, etc.

I'd love to see some sort of online relic race type events, racing against each other to beat the clock and would get awarded a relic to the position you are in and how much time is saved, using power ups to slow people down, steal boxes ect..but that's just myself

Nitro Fueled is one of the best games I've ever played, so I don't have much things to say about what could be improved in an eventual sequel. But I agree that the biggest flaw in my opinion is indeed the problem of balance between driving styles. Your idea of powerups unique to each class is interesting and a good way to include the 4 masks. I'm not sure how well this could be implemented on the tracks, but I don't know game development, so I can't judge. Quantum races are a very neat idea, it reminds me of that stage switch feature in Smash Ultimate. Hopefully, there wouldn't be cuts, but they'd have to remodel a lot of character due to the engine switch. I also hope we get a good mix of new and returning vehicles (with Tag Team vehicles that didn't make the cut here) Also, this is very nitpicky of me, but I kinda wish we could toggle which skins and customization parts would be used by the AI. There are very few skins I don't like, but it's a shame we can't have races with every character being normal. And maybe itemless races.
I would love if they bring more Cttr Things, in other words clashing and rematered tracks. I know it would require huge reform since clashing was busted in the original, but still this Idea sounds awsome.
would be nice to see a "rank" sistem too, so casual players won't be stuck to a pro player's lobby, meaning that only him will win, all the time, a way to create and host a lobby would be a good solution too, since there the host would be able to change settings, tracks and mode, and even start a "Vote kick" if someone is just sleeping at the finish line, or a pro keeps winning all the times, while the others struggle to even finish the race before the time ends
Kicking someone for doing too good? Okay, at that point that is a tad bit toxic and you should actually try to get better... I do agree pros shouldn't be against noobs but most of the skill gap in CTR was just drifting vs not drifting which makes a huge difference.
Mainly I'd like to see some of my favourite characters that missed out on being racers last time - those being the Evil Twins, Evil Crash, Rusty Walrus and others. They can also add some new characters from Crash 4, such as Alt Tawna and Fem Tropy. Being in the unreal engine and having a PC port would be amazing too, since it would really open the door for modding!
While I like the art style a little bit more and crash team racing and the character designs a lot more, I really hope the next crash team racing has the same shadows and lighting and details in the background as crash bandicoot for. Everything in the background look just as polished as everything in the forefront. Honestly the cut scenes always looked a little spotty and crash bandicoot four!
My wish list for a sequel: 1) New Items & Better Item balancing CTR Nitro Fueled was stuck with the original CTR items and balancing due to its remake nature, the problem is the balancing of those items worked well on the original game since it was made with that balancing in mind, on Nitro fueled however no so much, the gameplay diferences makes the items too unbalanced in my opinion. In pretty 90% of the races I play, if a driver gets just a bit ahead of the rest of the pack thats it, they won the race because the blue fire mechanic makes the distance between the players too big and the blue sphere item is too rare and the missiles never hit them because they are so far away. On the other side of the token, if a player gets too far behind the same problem: there's the masks and clocks but they are ineficient to getting the player back on the race, and the clock item is the worse as it takes away the fun of every other player in the race and affect even the racers behind the user making them get even more behind of the pack. Now here's how this could be handled on the sequel - Missiles being more eficient by getting past slopes, jumps and etc(things that they couldnt in the original CTR) pretty much being much more closer to how the red shells work in Mario kart, that way they can be used to hit the racer in first place even in a long distance. - Some kind of item what works like the bullet bill in Mario kart, an auto-pilot item that brings the player closer to the other racers in case he gets too far behind ( I think a quantum mask could be a fun powerup for this purpose, it could open a rift where the player can enter and get teleported close to the driver in front of him) - a bigger area for the bomb explosions so they can hit the other drivers more easily - The return of the tornado item from CNK would be fun - Clocks dont hit players behind the driver that used it (one cool use for this item would be to give this to the 2nd or 3rd places and only the 1st place get hit if they are too far ahead) - triple tnt/nitro potion items, so they can be a bit more useful for the player who gets them - Make the blue sphere item just a tiny bit more common, otherwise it can become annoying for everyone in the race Or to solve the problem once and for all, give the player a menu with the option to choose how common is each item is during the races 2) More online modes - pretty much what you said in the video, make proper servers for the game,etc But the addition of more online modes like:Itemless races, tournament cups, rank system, etc could make the experience even better. 3) NO MICROTRANSACTIONS/PIT STOP - my biggest gripe with Nitro fueled, it takes way too much time to unlock everything in the game due to this shity thing and that diminished my enjoyment of the game( I have this game for 1 year and a half now and still didnt finished unlock everything on the pit stop because I dont have xbox live and I receive way too few coins per race, that sucks). All the content from the pit stop would have made for excelent rewards if they had been spread on the other modes of the game like(ring rally, relic races and CTR races for example which are basically meaningless and offer no rewards or incentive to play those modes) however since its Activision were talking about I doubt this would ever happen in a sequel... 4) Some tweaks to how the game works - A Gold, silver and bronze trophy system on adventure mode, with bronze being enough to advance in the story, it would diminish a bit the frustration people had with the dificulty of Nitro fueled and make the game more acessible, not to mention it would work better if the new balancing I sugested would had been put in the game - An option to choosing which item can be used in the race on the menu before starting it, jus like in battle mode of CTR (including the option of having no items) - N.verted mode from Crash 4, working as a substitute for mirror mode
My perfect ctr sequel all the og tracks from ctr and cnk with updated sections for the new gameplay features will be added to the main campaign as well as a bunch of new tracks. features: the hub world is one big open world (with secrets far and wide and far more then just track races with places only people who have mastered the controls can get to.) (instead of getting keys from the bosses you beat you just unlock more as you play), a track editor that mainly relies on road ways in the over world map can set a custom course place ramps, boost pads, crates, hazards, and more and can be shared for others to enjoy, bosses will have far better AI (all cpu races will also have better ai) and all will use there unique weapons (weapons that could hit you from ether the side as you try and pass them or from the back after you have overtaken them(they will have 30% chance of getting one if they hit an item crate)) as well as the regular tnt / bottle spamming we are used too (no crates required ), an overlapping feature if you lap other racers you get a chance to get more coins or something. instead of using a difficulty setting the Ai will also evolve from noob to advance they will be watching you for short cuts and time saves just to keep things interesting. antigrav returning from cnk, underwater and gliding sections like Mario kart, road races, street races and off road races played on sections of the open world, single player campaign, online and party multiplayer campaign, online and party co:op (merge vehicles like tag team racing), online and party competitive , more minigames like ring rally , new types of battel modes, more crazy weapons, character exclusive weapons, more customization , more characters then nitro fuelled including more characters from other Sony games such as Sir Danial Fortescue or Kratos, When you finish the game you unlock ctr's and cnk's campaigns, portal short cuts a portal might open up when racing ether on one of the short cuts or just on the main track jump in and you'll be warped to a hidden section of another race course before driveing thrugh an other portal returning you to the course you just came from risk and possible reward as the portal section might be longer then the section you skiped, return of grand prix but with more polish and better rewards more spaced out so they last longer and there can be more of them, after a grand prix finishes a new part of the overworld map is added or old parts modified so the new maps can played in the main campain. ... I think I just created Forza but with weapons ... oh well i think this feature set could be a blast. for ctr2
Here's a thought: whenever one of the Quantum Masks is picked up by the character a player is racing as, they become temporary outfits for the racer just like they are for Crash and Coco. Also, I want far more Spyro characters than just Spyro, Gnasty Gnorc, and Hunter the Cheetah to be added. Lastly, why not add BOTH Tawnas to a potential sequel to CTR NF??
I think if they made CTR 2 Electric Boogaloo, I think they could re-visit the antigravity idea because I think there's potential for it to improve unlike CNK's version which did bare minimum. Also I guess fan favorite track can return but only a small amount to not screw over the balance of new and old tracks.
I wanna see the anti-gravity return back to from Nitro Kart because finding a flat/anti-gravity racing game is extremely rare not to mention the fact I been wanting Nitro Kart return back as a compatibility game for years to the Xbox store but hey I'm willing to bet Money that Nitro Kart will come back with the other games on Crash's 25th celebration..plus uh Canadian Guy Eh is there chance you can make a video on ranking best to worst on all mainline Sonic games I been itching to see one
GP need to stay for ever, one after another, without limit, this will give the effort to play and play and play again and again the game (and also for new players).
The warped motorcycle and crash bash tank: Presets for your karts and characters and skins assigned to the tracks that are chosen. Maybe several different presets for track and you can choose random or a preferred pre set. A competitive mode for sure and just better online experience. Maybe the competitive mode doesn’t have as many items or even a ghost competitive mode where everyone is a ghost card so you don’t bother them to each other. To give you something to race against. That’s an actual person that is. If you don’t like competitive mode and think crash bandicoot should be casual, then go play casual dummies.get good at the game. Battle passes! Like the Grand Prix but something is going to be consistent. I don’t mind paying for it. Set it up white halo infinite is doing! You can choose what battle pass you want and you can take as long as you want to complete it and choose which battle passes do you want to currently complete if you have more than one. And you can buy the first one even five years later.
Some really good ideas you've thought of, the one thing i hope they would do is incorporate the spyro universe into the game more via the story, tracks, modes to the point its 50% crash 50% spyro as we've had several crash racing games and with your rift idea you could have the spyro portals teleport you to other worlds (like what they did with the spyro track) but on a bigger scale.

You know, a few of the ideas you brought up even come from our minds during the grand prixs of Nitro-Fueled. So yeah, if they ever make CTR 2 for reals they could potentially bring all of these to life.
I find myself preferring the _N. Sane Trilogy_ and _Nitro-Fueled_ aesthetic more than the Toys for Bob style, now that the _It’s About Time_ dust has settled. It just fits the franchise better.
I would like to see a battle royal style racing mode for CTR2. Who ever come in 1st place and survive the race wins. Also, I like the idea of Quantum race in CTR2 and fixes issues that was present in CTR Nitro Fueled.

for a sequel id like to focus on things i didnt care for in ctr nitro fueled, the battle mode and the gem collecting of whatever its called. everything else is so amazing, nitro fueled is one of my all time favorites. everyone knows beenox is talented enough to make an original ctr sequel but id like to see the game more focused. i loved the extra modes except for those few i mentioned. and maybe update nitro fueled and fix the pitstop maybe
I'd just really love to see all of the tracks and modes from Crash Tag Team Racing get added to the mix, as well as Team Races from Crash Nitro Kart. I don't care what anyone says, the Tag Team Racing tracks would look amazing in Nitro-Fueled's artstyle!
These are some solid ideas, especially the Quantum Races idea, it reminds me of that one feature from Smash Bros Ultimate where the stage you're playing on changes to another, a very cool and fun addition and adapting a similar idea to a kart racer sounds like it would be more polished, I'm down for that.
Anti-gravity as just a feature kind of like with your quantum races but then have anti-gravity races would be cool essentially add different type of races
I just want an itemless mode with functioning servers. Would make the online matches a lot more competitive.
And being available on PC. Nitro Fueled was great as it is otherwise - I don't even need 60 FPS crap for such a game. Maybe just a next gen release that improves the few issues.

IMO online cups would be better in which you have to lock in driving style from the beginning. It has the same effect as the quantum race idea by playing different tracks but doesn’t risk lowering performance etc

- All the tracks that were added in the OG CTRNF Grand Prixs returning

A 10th dimension track would be really cool. Imagine the Easter eggs and cool references they could put throughout the track, this is also a great opportunity to add characters such as Evil Crash, Evil Twins, etc.
As far as the idea of warping between tracks goes, I previously suggested a Twinsanity themed track that sees racers warping between the four main locations of that game over the course of a single race. Now THAT'S fan service! (:
I can imagine the Rift idea being used, but in a slightly different way: The same track, but in a different dimension/time. I think changing to a whole new track would be fun, but risky; they’d probably rather stylize the same track to be futuristic, prehistoric, alien, etc.

I already thought about a Tropy Boss Track in the past where each lap would be the same map layout within a different time period (prehistoric, present, future), with the time period changing the elements and details around the track, while still being the same track in theory.

now i wanna theory craft quantum abilities in ctr 2:
lani loli: as video described, can phase obstacles and shortcuts in n out of existence (turn)
akano: similar to the golden mushroom, this one would operate on a strict time limit when first activated, but can be toggled on and off consecutively. when toggled on, will protect you by spinning around you (similar to regular masks, but without the speed boost), along with providing higher jumps and decreased gravity, allowing for massive jumps and skips at the expense of harder control, rendering skill essential. (speed)
kupuna wa: similar to the clock item, however this doesnt make anyone spin out or lose their fire. when activated, her chant can be heard across the whole map. enemy players will simply maintain their speed on their end, while on your end everyone else has slowed down dramatically for 1-2 secs. if someone were to pass a player using kupuna wa, itd just look like they got a massive temporary speed boost (probably 1.25x faster than blue fire) (acceleration)
ika ika: probably the hardest to come up with an idea for. since reversing gravity would be very messy in a kart racer, my best idea is similar to the final boss in crash 4, where everyone else's screen gets temporarily flipped upside down for maybe 3-5 seconds. controls remain the same otherwise, and skilled players would be able to learn how to control the upside down mechanics (all around).

Well they could take a page from Tag Team and include on foot exploration. So you could find kart parts or new paint jobs.
This all sounds like great ideas, but there's 1 thing I think HAS to return: ANTI. GRAVITY. RACING. Imagine how much better the anti gravity segments can be with newer hardware! It gives me chills just thinking about it.
I miss the monthly Grand prix a lot. I remember being super excited to see your video showing what the next GP will bring to the table. I go back to CTR at least once a week just to play one or two races. Love your content by the way and your ideas are amazing.
It can also use antigravity from Crash nitro kart but 10x better with technology with the ps5.
Few things I think would be neat:
1: some additional utility of the wumpa fruit during a race (use for little boosts for example, or change the level of flame you get from boost pads)
2: short cuts designed specifically to allow players who are behind to catch up. Probably should require some skill to use based on how much of a benefit it provides.
3: having the ability to toggle which items you want in a race (like that of battle mode)
4: make the engines have their own special qualities sort of like how drift had the better boost from drifting initially. Something small like turn class being able to decrease their drift angle or acceleration getting a small boost from driving in straight lines for a given distance.
Outside of the specifics: more flexible customization, computer players using short cuts at higher difficulty, and more items.
Also they probably should rebalance the items to make them more competitive at top play races (like see sonic robo kart 2 SPB instead of current missle or electric orb) or give some recovery window to not lose sacred fire.
They need to add a mode were you can have two characters in one car (like when everyone thought that was gonna happen when they saw chick and stew in one car in the rustland trailer)
Hear me out: crash team racing 2 is free to play has dedicated servers and cross-play enabled, the seasonal content is a battle pass like the Grand Prixs before but they last 3 months and come with 4 new tracks instead of just 1, the game becomes an Esport with cash prizes for competitive events and the story mode is expanded every season.
I would love for more freedom for customize tournaments and races, give more room for people's creativity to flow. for example, maybe you could customize a race (offline) and choose all the characters, their karts, their skins, their driving styles, etc... as well as number of paricipants (from 2 to 8/16, depending on what the max number would be), maybe you could even modify stuff like the item list or add modifiers or handicaps, like for example, if you want to have a boss race against Tropy, you can give him the ability to throw hazards at you like the actual boss races in adventure mode, custom races are not a must for me, but they'd be fun to have, imagine all the youtube videos with crazy ideas or new series people could do with it.
what I would consider a must though is custom tournaments as I said, just allow the player to create their custom cup with 4 tracks of their picking at least. but I'd personally add the same ideas I mentioned above for custom races, and maybe some crazy option like 'last placed racer of each race gets eliminated' or something.
We gotta update the battle mode make different types of levels and modes. Also make a team racing Mode for online and offline. You can't truly call it (Team Racing) without the (Team) concept in there. Lastly i feel that in offline mode make the CPU harder to race against. Make them take shortcuts and and match the level of your speed depending on what style you use.

I like the Quantum Race and Rift Apart ideas. It would make the racetracks more fun and interactive. As well as make the races more strategy oriented.
Taking the mask idea further, maybe they can grant special buffs to power-ups depending on the mask/engine you choose. Lani-Loli gives power-ups a warp effect, Akano increases the AOE of power-ups. Kupuna-wa increases the duration of speed boosts, buffs/debuffs, and Ika Ika allows antigravity/off-road access and longer jumps for bigger boosts. Aku Aku can boost defensive capabilities for power-ups like stronger shields, but can also allow you to use things like bowling bombs for double jumps and bubble shields for underwater driving. Uka Uka would boost the power of offensive power-ups, like making the homing energy orb to trigger nearby traps or cause beakers TNT/nitro crates to detonate.
An idea I'd like to see implemented is an offline way to unlock characters/skins/paint jobs etc. I don't have internet at home, so doing in-game challenges as an alternative method of uncloaking stuff would be really appreciated.
A fun idea for me is a fully customized stage creator. It's fun making your own custom stages. And not just racetracks, I want to make battle arenas, stunt courses, custom cup races. That'd be awesome.
A cool throwback to CTR's roots (aka Diddy Kong Racing) would be boss races/boss challenges. Where instead of going against just a racer, you also have to fight a boss like the Bearminator, Megamix, Rusty Walrus, Madame Amberly, or Mecha-Bandicoot. It doesn't have to be part of the storyline, just another scared idea. You could also have an online component to it: see which racer can beat the boss first/the quickest etc.
An idea for the battle arena can be demolition derby. No frills or anything just full on Monster Truck Mayhem.

Imagine if in one of the quantom races it was also an elimination mode, so the track changes each lap and the last person to finish a lap gets eliminated but then they can spectate and while spectating can alter the track by phasing things in and out and placing items everywhere which would appear from rifts

Story can be a custom player (your avatar) and some crash characters helping or stopping you or the team.
CTRNF modes may be present here but here’s what fans need:
Mission mode, solo/team race/cup with race and track settings: items: on/off, driver assist, Courses that can be in reverse or mirrored. AI from 2-20.
Activities include: Stunt devil, zone keeper (Need for speed influence), eliminator, survival race/battle, outrun and beat the clock (Grid references), item thief (stealing your items if they hit you) or crazy taxi (picking up npc’s and taking them to the spot before racers catch you). I or someone else could go on. Good video, CGE.
I love the quantum rift idea! They could do so much with it!
As for the engine types, CTRNF had one big issue that broke the balance: Max speed achievable with masks and USF/blue flame was tied to the speed stat, but the air U turn was always maxed out no matter what. If they removed the U turn or tied it to the turn stat, OR maxed speed out with the mask and USF, then the game would be completely different. I remember in the beginning, before everyone mastered the U turn, turn characters were dominating tracks such as Hot Air Skyway.
But the content is a huge issue. I'm not sure I would be able to settle down for less tracks and characters from the start. I just wish that somehow they could just bring everything over and keep building up the stuff from there. And I'm not much of a fan of the new visuals either.
This is why these types of games that aren’t primarily story driven should just continue to add updates every year rather than bring out sequels where they have to start over again. Everything already in the game would remain and they could simply add new tracks, characters and game modes. Fix the god awful loading times and add dedicated servers and leaderboards.

Great idea for a video! I love a speculation videos especially since we don’t actually get information because Activision doesn’t give a crap about crash bandicoot fans in their content drought! But I love ideas they get me pumped even more for the next games. I’m so ready for a new crash team racing game. I debated even buying this game and ended up pre-ordering anyways and that is literally probably my all-time favorite game. I beat the developer times in two days!

Just putting it out there, why not do something similar to thathe Elementals from Wrath of Cortex as well? Have them be linked to the evil characters while the Quantum masks are linked to the heroes.
Signature items for each character. Like in double dash. Also emotes while driving will make it entertaining 😂
My idea for fixing the driving styles/weight classes was to give all the classes the stats their graphs suggest, give the Turning style the ability to make even wider drifts (if you hold the stick outwards) than any other class along with slightly more powerful boosts to offset their terrible Speed, and slightly weaker boosts for the Speed and Drift classes since their fast speeds mean they don't need as powerful of boosting options to stay ahead.
Given that the entire strategy of CTR was "Constantly drift" all you just did was making Turning OP as they will constantly have strong boosts and take the inside of turns while the others can simply not...
Turning at base has an advantage in turn heavy tracks, speed in straights, and drift is the mixture.
This is impossible to balance, in fact speed tends to always be better but due to having less control means it is easier to hit them with items or leave items which ruin their drifts and being hit by an item can easily cost them matches.
A few ideas I though of after watching this video for a CTR2 would be:
- New tracks based on Post-Naughty Dog games such as Twinsanity and Crash 4 levels
- Add Tawna (IAT), N. Tropy (F), Evil Crash, Fake Coco, The Female Lab Assistant, Evil Twins, Elora, Bianca, Ripto, The Sorceress, and Willy Wumpa Cheeks as playable characters (The latter 3 were cut)
- Add skins from old and new Crash games
- Have the character designs based off of Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time
We need a feature to save customized carts and skins so we dont have to set it up everytime I change characters

Obviously it should not be pay to win or even have payable unlocking options. People are already going to be paying $60-$70 for an original CTR sequel so they shouldn't be expected to pay more. You win, you unlock things. You adventure, you unlock things. And maybe have the wumpa coins, but not having bonuses on solely online/ weekend play. Also new versions of Roo's Tubes and Electron Avenue would be awesome!

•I want the sequel to go down the Mario Kart route, & by that I mean add new types of vehicles, like bikes, giant wheel-type vehicles, etc. (I just *really* wanna race around on Crash's bike from Warped 😔)

If we don't get Wumpa League, I always liked the idea I heard of about having Crash Bash mini games in as loading screens - maybe in a "Pit Stop" fashion
Nitro Fueled is one of the best games I've ever played, so I don't have much things to say about what could be improved in an eventual sequel. But I agree that the biggest flaw in my opinion is indeed the problem of balance between driving styles.
Your idea of powerups unique to each class is interesting and a good way to include the 4 masks. I'm not sure how well this could be implemented on the tracks, but I don't know game development, so I can't judge. Quantum races are a very neat idea, it reminds me of that stage switch feature in Smash Ultimate.
Hopefully, there wouldn't be cuts, but they'd have to remodel a lot of character due to the engine switch. I also hope we get a good mix of new and returning vehicles (with Tag Team vehicles that didn't make the cut here)
Also, this is very nitpicky of me, but I kinda wish we could toggle which skins and customization parts would be used by the AI. There are very few skins I don't like, but it's a shame we can't have races with every character being normal. And maybe itemless races.
I’d like to see a tag team focus but more akin to Mario Kart Double Dash with unique items and strategy 👀👀

A CTR sequel with Crash 4's artstyle would be golden! I would also like Plane & Hovercraft driving, like in Diddy Kong Racing.
The quantum races would be a cool idea for a campaign/story too. Could act as like a side story form crash 4
I would love if they bring more Cttr Things, in other words clashing and rematered tracks. I know it would require huge reform since clashing was busted in the original, but still this Idea sounds awsome.
would be nice to see a "rank" sistem too, so casual players won't be stuck to a pro player's lobby, meaning that only him will win, all the time, a way to create and host a lobby would be a good solution too, since there the host would be able to change settings, tracks and mode, and even start a "Vote kick" if someone is just sleeping at the finish line, or a pro keeps winning all the times, while the others struggle to even finish the race before the time ends

Okay, at that point that is a tad bit toxic and you should actually try to get better... I do agree pros shouldn't be against noobs but most of the skill gap in CTR was just drifting vs not drifting which makes a huge difference.
Mainly I'd like to see some of my favourite characters that missed out on being racers last time - those being the Evil Twins, Evil Crash, Rusty Walrus and others. They can also add some new characters from Crash 4, such as Alt Tawna and Fem Tropy. Being in the unreal engine and having a PC port would be amazing too, since it would really open the door for modding!

While I like the art style a little bit more and crash team racing and the character designs a lot more, I really hope the next crash team racing has the same shadows and lighting and details in the background as crash bandicoot for. Everything in the background look just as polished as everything in the forefront. Honestly the cut scenes always looked a little spotty and crash bandicoot four!
My wish list for a sequel:
1) New Items & Better Item balancing
CTR Nitro Fueled was stuck with the original CTR items and balancing due to its remake nature, the problem is the balancing of those items worked well on the original game since it was made with that balancing in mind, on Nitro fueled however no so much, the gameplay diferences makes the items too unbalanced in my opinion.
In pretty 90% of the races I play, if a driver gets just a bit ahead of the rest of the pack thats it, they won the race because the blue fire mechanic makes the distance between the players too big and the blue sphere item is too rare and the missiles never hit them because they are so far away.
On the other side of the token, if a player gets too far behind the same problem: there's the masks and clocks but they are ineficient to getting the player back on the race, and the clock item is the worse as it takes away the fun of every other player in the race and affect even the racers behind the user making them get even more behind of the pack.
Now here's how this could be handled on the sequel
- Missiles being more eficient by getting past slopes, jumps and etc(things that they couldnt in the original CTR) pretty much being much more closer to how the red shells work in Mario kart, that way they can be used to hit the racer in first place even in a long distance.
- Some kind of item what works like the bullet bill in Mario kart, an auto-pilot item that brings the player closer to the other racers in case he gets too far behind ( I think a quantum mask could be a fun powerup for this purpose, it could open a rift where the player can enter and get teleported close to the driver in front of him)
- a bigger area for the bomb explosions so they can hit the other drivers more easily
- The return of the tornado item from CNK would be fun
- Clocks dont hit players behind the driver that used it (one cool use for this item would be to give this to the 2nd or 3rd places and only the 1st place get hit if they are too far ahead)
- triple tnt/nitro potion items, so they can be a bit more useful for the player who gets them
- Make the blue sphere item just a tiny bit more common, otherwise it can become annoying for everyone in the race
Or to solve the problem once and for all, give the player a menu with the option to choose how common is each item is during the races
2) More online modes - pretty much what you said in the video, make proper servers for the game,etc
But the addition of more online modes like:Itemless races, tournament cups, rank system, etc could make the experience even better.
3) NO MICROTRANSACTIONS/PIT STOP - my biggest gripe with Nitro fueled, it takes way too much time to unlock everything in the game due to this shity thing and that diminished my enjoyment of the game( I have this game for 1 year and a half now and still didnt finished unlock everything on the pit stop because I dont have xbox live and I receive way too few coins per race, that sucks).
All the content from the pit stop would have made for excelent rewards if they had been spread on the other modes of the game like(ring rally, relic races and CTR races for example which are basically meaningless and offer no rewards or incentive to play those modes)
however since its Activision were talking about I doubt this would ever happen in a sequel...
4) Some tweaks to how the game works
- A Gold, silver and bronze trophy system on adventure mode, with bronze being enough to advance in the story, it would diminish a bit the frustration people had with the dificulty of Nitro fueled and make the game more acessible, not to mention it would work better if the new balancing I sugested would had been put in the game
- An option to choosing which item can be used in the race on the menu before starting it, jus like in battle mode of CTR (including the option of having no items)
- N.verted mode from Crash 4, working as a substitute for mirror mode
I thing i would improve from this vid is for the quantum mask to be the elementals on the evil side
My perfect ctr sequel all the og tracks from ctr and cnk with updated sections for the new gameplay features will be added to the main campaign
as well as a bunch of new tracks.
features:
the hub world is one big open world (with secrets far and wide
and far more then just track races
with places only people who have mastered the controls can get to.)
(instead of getting keys from the bosses you beat
you just unlock more as you play),
a track editor that mainly relies on road ways in the over world map can set a custom course place ramps, boost pads, crates, hazards, and more
and can be shared for others to enjoy,
bosses will have far better AI (all cpu races will also have better ai)
and all will use there unique weapons (weapons that could hit you from ether the side as you try and pass them or from the back after you have overtaken them(they will have 30% chance of getting one if they hit an item crate))
as well as the regular tnt / bottle spamming we are used too (no crates required ),
an overlapping feature if you lap other racers you get a chance to get more coins or something.
instead of using a difficulty setting the Ai will also evolve from noob to advance they will be watching you for short cuts and time saves just to keep things interesting.
antigrav returning from cnk,
underwater and gliding sections like Mario kart,
road races, street races and off road races played on sections of the open world,
single player campaign,
online and party multiplayer campaign,
online and party co:op (merge vehicles like tag team racing),
online and party competitive ,
more minigames like ring rally ,
new types of battel modes,
more crazy weapons,
character exclusive weapons,
more customization ,
more characters then nitro fuelled including more characters from other Sony games
such as Sir Danial Fortescue or
Kratos,
When you finish the game you unlock ctr's and cnk's campaigns,
portal short cuts a portal might open up when racing ether on one of the short cuts or just on the main track jump in and you'll be warped to a hidden section of another race course before driveing thrugh an other portal returning you to the course you just came from risk and possible reward as the portal section might be longer then the section you skiped,
return of grand prix but with more polish and better rewards
more spaced out so they last longer and there can be more of them,
after a grand prix finishes a new part of the overworld map is added or old parts modified so the new maps can played in the main campain.
... I think I just created Forza but with weapons ... oh well i think this feature set could be a blast. for ctr2
but yea basically nitro fuelled but bigger and better in every way shape and form.

Here's a thought: whenever one of the Quantum Masks is picked up by the character a player is racing as, they become temporary outfits for the racer just like they are for Crash and Coco. Also, I want far more Spyro characters than just Spyro, Gnasty Gnorc, and Hunter the Cheetah to be added. Lastly, why not add BOTH Tawnas to a potential sequel to CTR NF??
Honestly switching to different tracks while racing isn't a bad idea. It not only makes it fun but makes it interesting.
I think if they made CTR 2 Electric Boogaloo, I think they could re-visit the antigravity idea because I think there's potential for it to improve unlike CNK's version which did bare minimum. Also I guess fan favorite track can return but only a small amount to not screw over the balance of new and old tracks.

I wanna see the anti-gravity return back to from Nitro Kart because finding a flat/anti-gravity racing game is extremely rare not to mention the fact I been wanting Nitro Kart return back as a compatibility game for years to the Xbox store but hey I'm willing to bet Money that Nitro Kart will come back with the other games on Crash's 25th celebration..plus uh Canadian Guy Eh is there chance you can make a video on ranking best to worst on all mainline Sonic games I been itching to see one

GP need to stay for ever, one after another, without limit, this will give the effort to play and play and play again and again the game (and also for new players).
The warped motorcycle and crash bash tank:
Presets for your karts and characters and skins assigned to the tracks that are chosen. Maybe several different presets for track and you can choose random or a preferred pre set.
A competitive mode for sure and just better online experience. Maybe the competitive mode doesn’t have as many items or even a ghost competitive mode where everyone is a ghost card so you don’t bother them to each other. To give you something to race against. That’s an actual person that is. If you don’t like competitive mode and think crash bandicoot should be casual, then go play casual dummies.get good at the game.
Battle passes! Like the Grand Prix but something is going to be consistent. I don’t mind paying for it. Set it up white halo infinite is doing! You can choose what battle pass you want and you can take as long as you want to complete it and choose which battle passes do you want to currently complete if you have more than one. And you can buy the first one even five years later.
High speed, acceleration, turbooost, handling, traction, strength.
Some really good ideas you've thought of, the one thing i hope they would do is incorporate the spyro universe into the game more via the story, tracks, modes to the point its 50% crash 50% spyro as we've had several crash racing games and with your rift idea you could have the spyro portals teleport you to other worlds (like what they did with the spyro track) but on a bigger scale.
I said I have a handful of CTR sequel ideas, and here they are:
>60 FPS
>Photo Mode
>Daytime/Weather options depending on which track you select
>Sprint Tracks (like in some NFS games)
>New Characters (Like Madame Amberly, Rusty Walrus, Ripto, etc...maybe a Crash version of Tony Hawk...like a skating hawk?)
>New Tracks (Including some tracks based off of Crash 4), and maybe all CTR:NF tracks included
>Soundtrack changes (including new compositions, the legacy soundtracks from CTR/CNK/CTRNF return, even select songs from past Crash games, a jukebox system like in SSX 3 where you can select any song on any track, and maybe even licensed songs…seriously, a song from S.C.I.E.N.C.E. by Incubus in CTR would be killer)
>Saveable kart presets
>No items/hazards modes
>A more advanced paint system (where you can choose the body, secondary, third, and fourth colors separately. Still possible to change colors the old-fashioned way)
>Changeable engine/horn sounds
>New modes like Team Race from CNK, Elimination Race, etc.
>Improved Wumpa Coin system (where coins are commonly found in tracks, and you get 10 extra coins after touching one. Golden Wumpa Fruit still exists and touching them will give you 200 coins. and after winning, you get more Wumpa Coins offline than in the original, like 100-200. Online will still give more, daily online 1 hour doubles/1 hour weekend bonuses still exist. No microtransactions at all)

You know, a few of the ideas you brought up even come from our minds during the grand prixs of Nitro-Fueled.
So yeah, if they ever make CTR 2 for reals they could potentially bring all of these to life.
I find myself preferring the _N. Sane Trilogy_ and _Nitro-Fueled_ aesthetic more than the Toys for Bob style, now that the _It’s About Time_ dust has settled. It just fits the franchise better.

I would like to see a battle royal style racing mode for CTR2. Who ever come in 1st place and survive the race wins. Also, I like the idea of Quantum race in CTR2 and fixes issues that was present in CTR Nitro Fueled.

for a sequel id like to focus on things i didnt care for in ctr nitro fueled, the battle mode and the gem collecting of whatever its called. everything else is so amazing, nitro fueled is one of my all time favorites. everyone knows beenox is talented enough to make an original ctr sequel but id like to see the game more focused. i loved the extra modes except for those few i mentioned. and maybe update nitro fueled and fix the pitstop maybe
I'd just really love to see all of the tracks and modes from Crash Tag Team Racing get added to the mix, as well as Team Races from Crash Nitro Kart. I don't care what anyone says, the Tag Team Racing tracks would look amazing in Nitro-Fueled's artstyle!
These are some solid ideas, especially the Quantum Races idea, it reminds me of that one feature from Smash Bros Ultimate where the stage you're playing on changes to another, a very cool and fun addition and adapting a similar idea to a kart racer sounds like it would be more polished, I'm down for that.
