Hello there and welcome!
In todays video I walk you through the mobile wood storage cart I built for our shop!
This is a very simple DIY/How to - to help you build yours, I hope it may inspire you or aid you in anyway to help you create your very own!
As always, all feedback is greatly appreciated!

Thank you and God bless!
I've watched a few of these videos and yours is the best by far. I like the way you dropped it down For maximum clearance and also having the double bins in the front for different size pieces. Thanks for posting the build process.
That's awesome, thank you! After sometime of using it I wouldn't really change anything either. It's been the perfect storage piece for my operation.
The K5 comes with an attachment for adding pocket holes to sheet goods. You can pull the guide block out and attach the included attachment and use the guide independently of the rest of the jig.
Just an FYI for your next sheet you need to add PHs to. I keep my bits in one of the wing boxes and the attachments in the other side.
I was about to build Weekend Woodworker's cart, but this one changed my mind! I love the double storage up front and the slightly larger size. Appreciate you!
Love to see it, have a great day!
Really liked the recessed wheels 😊
Thank you, I bought your plans they were excellent. I did make mine 7' x 3 '. It came out great.
Great to hear! Thank you for the support!
Great idea. Will make something similar.👍
Great build! I love that you're shown using safety gear - so many DIY RUclipsrs seem to neglect the basics. It's nice to see someone modeling responsible woodworking
Thank you, appreciate that! Don't even realize anymore, it's become the norm for me.
Man you can fit a ton of lumber on that thing! Love it, nice work.
Thanks Chris! Cleans up the wood corner very nicely!
WOW THE CART LOOKS AWESOME < SUPER JOB MAN < GOD BLESS YOU 👍👍👍🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Haha Thank you man!!
Nice work👍, and loved the Bible quote.
Thank you!
I want to agree I like the double bins in the front as I tend to try and save everything even short pieces "just in case".
Exactly that! I tend to keep too many off cuts though lol.
Thank you for the detailed description. 😊
For sure! Thanks for stopping by!
I just finished reproducing your design at the same 5x3 dimensions! A few slight adjustments to accommodate using the wood I had available instead of buying more plywood but I’m thrilled with the design and how organized my shop is going to be! Thanks so much for sharing your work and design!
Hey Steve! That is awesome to hear, glad you were able to find inspiration from the video! If you want to share some photos, email them klassenwoodworking@hotmail.com or find me on Instagram! Love to feature your build, cheers!
Great Video. I have looked at a lot of these designs and I think I like this one the most. You have a new subscriber. God bless.
Really awesome design, really practical! And that would definitely be my first instinct, jumping on top like a skateboard! 😂
Thank you, appreciate it! Have to live life dangerously 😂
Job well done, I was wondering about how I could store my pallet boards, thanks to you now I know. I love the angle design of this ..again great job... keep them coming. God bless 😇😇👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍
Hey thank you so much! Happy to be able to help! 😎
Awesome design
Nicely done video! Good process explanations, audio, and camera work.
Thank you! Appreciate the feedback!
great build! love this channel!
Thank you! 😎
Awesome! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for watching!
Awesome. Subscribed!
Hey thank you! Appreciate that!
Very useful. Thank you
Glad I could help!
Nice. So organized. I saw that you had your mask on while cutting wood. There are so many times when I should have done that but I get so tired of wearing them all day, so cough, choke it is.
I'm with you on that! Wearing one all day, and then a heavier one in the shop. I have zero dust collection on some tools so if I'm making multiple cuts I'll use the mask.
Simply!!! I will be building this you made it look so easy man good job
Awesome to hear! It's been amazing to have this in the shop
@@KlassenWoodworks how many sheets of plywood did you use thinking about making this today
@@rodscomfortblecreations8544 I used about 2.5 sheets. Awesome! Good luck
Great design and video. How did the design work when storing sheets vertically? I would be interested to know whether or not storing an 8 x 4 sheet of plywood vertically made the cart unstable in anyway
Thank you.
It worked very good, I've never had more than 2 sheets vertical but it was very stable.
Hello, can your cart design accommodate a full 4x8 sheet of plywood horizontally? If so, how many sheets has it handled?
Nice work, deserving of a sub!
Too kind, thank you!!
I'm actually thinking about making a single-tier bin section, pushing the sheet goods section over for more capacity.
Hey that's a great idea to fit your needs! Ive filled up the sheets portion multiple times.
For the cutlist, I'll measure it up tomorrow and get the pieces. If you want to email me at Klassenwoodworking@hotmail.com, I'll send you the cutlist.
Well I really liked the content in your video the best so I am trying it out in combination with another one. I hope you don't mind me asking how the verse (Hebrews 12 -1 NIV) makes you feel and what's it connection to your like. Anyway great video thank you.
Awesome, hope it works out well for you!
For me its a great verse for motivaton. Sin tears us down and grabs a hold of us, we need to remember we have great people of faith around us and God has a plan and a promise laid out for us.
@@KlassenWoodworks Thank you thats a perfectly beautiful reply! Keep the faith, I will always think of this now🙏❤
What size are the wheels? It's not in the video or the plans. Also, the 1"x1" shelf supports are not included in the materials list.
How many sheets of plywood does this build use. Thanks
Hey, believe it was 3 at the 5x3 size.
Just purchased your plans. Maybe you can also add metric, just mm's would be great.
Thank you for the support and hope they help you!
That is a good idea, thanks!
@@KlassenWoodworks Thank you sir! for the plans. I have finished the build, using European size plywood 2440x1220x18mm Elliots pine. On one side I added French cleats for storage my Festool guide rails and my glue bottles and some woodworking tools. Compliments for your design, it was a joy to build!.
@@flyingd217 That is great to hear!! I'd love to see pictures of it! If you don't mind sharing, you could send them via Instagram to klassenwoodworks or email klassenwoodworking@hotmail.com. Thank you for the support!
just have to ask , how do you lock the casters on this thing ?
Haha I don't. With the weight of everything on the cart, it doesn't go anywhere.
esta muy bueno bro
Hey! Muchas Gracias!
The link to the pdf plans does not take me to the plans. Can you assist?
Sorry about that! I will update shortly, try this link.

when do you use the track saw and when the table saw?
I always use the track saw on full sheets of ply to break them down, usually try to aim for mid point but depends on lengths I need and then move to the table saw. Or I'll use the track for angle cuts. Hope that answers your question! 🙂
@@KlassenWoodworks will the whole sheet fit on your table saw?
@@ScreamingEagleFTW Yes it can and have done that before. It is unwieldy, depending how wide your first rip is. Can also be tough to keep it square against the fence but totally doable.
By any chance did you do any build plans for this wood storage cart?
Hey Gregg. I did not, but would gladly help you along with a cutlist if you'd like.
@@KlassenWoodworks I'd love the cutlist if you have one. I'm hoping to start the build next weekend to bring my garage into shape!
@@KlassenWoodworks i would love that as well. I have a very space restricted shop and this would come in handy
Love the Bible quote!
I would be a bit concerned that all the weight on each of the casters was going to be on just 4 screws each.
That's a valid concern. A lot of weight on my cart, I will try to take a look underneath to see how they look. Rolls around fine, some 2" lag screws would have been ideal.
The plans aren't on etsy...
Hey there. I've just updated the link in the description, should lead you directly to the shop now. Sorry about that.
Just an FYI, when you start your video on yet another lumber cart to store a half sheet and cutoffs - don't start the video with a pompous bible quote. Half the people that that clicked the thumbnail just clicked back out.
I appreciate your feedback. You see it as pompous, I see as a great verse that encourages me to repent of my sins and keep my focus on Jesus. Wouldn't expect everyone to watch through, it's a "risk" I take. For if even only one person reads it or looks closer to the Bible after, it's all worth it. 🙂 Have a great day and God bless you
What interested me was the 5x3 dimensions. It's just what I was looking for. Clicking out would be my loss. Guess I'm in one of those halves. The cart is going to do good work for me, and I'll be proud to have made it. Thanks Klassen Woodworks.
@@den2153 Hey that's awesome! Happy you found what you needed, thank you!
