I like the design of this with the extra cubbies. I built an 4'x8' one years ago and it's overflowing. One thing I did that you might consider is putting a strap across to make sure that the plywood is secure (I just used a thin ratchet strap). Then you can loosen it some to allow the front pieces to rest against when pulling out the sheets behind. - Chris
I know from experience how difficult it is to make a channel successful. I’m not sure people appreciate the amount of work and effort that goes into producing good content. So Tim I really hope you make this work and do as well as you deserve to my friend.
Great build and video flow. I think people get rose-tinted glasses when they see plywood in videos. Your requirements for the project are the most important. We see plywood in a video from a distance and think it is perfect. The normal affordable sheets from suppliers can have a foot or two of perfect edges and very view ‘defects’ in the face. Every supplier gets different sheets and quality changes over time. It all just depends on what is going on. The perfect stuff is an illusion. Sometimes a place has some great stuff and sometimes the same stuff has a few more defects. Sometimes I pick up a scrap of the normal stuff I buy and am surprised how perfect the piece is. Same thing when I look at my furniture inner parts/backs and shop furniture made with plywood from Menards’s.
I've watched a _ton_ of videos for scrap/off-cut lumber carts. No disrespect to the other creators, but I really really like yours the best. Very clean and functional design. I appreciate the lack of (in my opinion) unnecessary joints/buttressing. Well done. I'm headed to the lumber store right now to grab more material so I have stuff to fill up my cart with (that I will be making with said material). 😂
I love when RUclips University hands me the exact video I need to tackle tomorrow’s to-do list. ✅ Even better when the video is done well - easy to understand, easy to consume. And if you did have a sister video that showed how to tackle the task on my own, on SketchUp, I would have watched that too. I have been on the site so many times and always ended up overwhelming myself because I had no clue how to even get started… inevitably searching for someone else’s plans to modify to hopefully fit what I needed. I hope you are shown the support needed that will allow you to keep on keeping on. I will be following along, as I have been. 🤘
Of all the wood carts I've seen, I like the... simplicity of this one? The balance? I never thought I could fit one in my garage / shop but I think I could make this work. Good work, Tim! Hopefully the job situation works out.
I watched a couple videos on building lumber carts last week, so YT put yours in front of me today (for which I am grateful). Nice job! My wife and I really like your idea of dual videos, with the modeling and the build. Subscriber now! Thanks for this.
Awesome work, dude! Really well done!!! 😃 I definitely need to build a smaller one for my workshop... Let's see what I do. 😬 Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Hey Tim. Great video. Simple, easy to follow. Love the format and not being precious about things. Good luck with the new 'pop up' career. Hope it works out for you.
Love this cart, looks like it will fit in my garage shop. Would you be interested in coming on a Saturday night maker interview show? Love the plans, they are really detailed.
I think the mode plan is great. Really enjoyed the build as I'll be needing one of these soon. I actually have to clear out a space to both build it then be able to use it. Thank you for sharing you experience. As someone else said, I hope you flourish and your channel grows. I'm still working on my first 1000. Keep it up and God bless.
One Tim to another, rooting for you. I like your video structure idea I've been planning out a channel myself and that's the same structure I was also considering
Thanks it's frist one I like and can build easy. Also I like your Introductions no wild stuff , just clam topics best I'm subscriber and will support as much as possible
I built a lumber rack with closet tracks the double slots one with the 16” I think shelves brackets and i am amazed how much load I got on it 😊 If you want a picture let me know 😊
This project gave me some ideas for my own tiny workshop. Mine is so small, that I need to make it very convenient and figure out how to make anything in there. Biggest problem is cutting anything big, because there is no room and winters are long and cold so I cannot cut outside most of the year. Storing anything is even bigger problem, but having something like this could help, with a little twist. Good luck with your DIY journey and the video format is great! Simple and easy to follow. Your voiceover is also calm and easy to listen to.
I went and looked at all your tools in your shop . DId not see what kind of mitersaw you had. Would you mind sharing what kind of mitersaw that was. The build was excellent. Great presentation. Great job!
Loving your content- you've found a way to be original in a space that's crowded with a lot of good creators. Thanks for all the work you put into this!
Sorry to hear about your layoff man. I’ve been there too. I know this video is 3 months old, so hoping you’ve found something by now. You’ve got a like and subscribe from me!
Dudeeee, this is exactly what I was looking for! Just bought the plans for this and these are the best plans I’ve bought so far. Concise, yet detailed. Subscribed for sure and will be checking your page for plans anytime I want to get something built now!
one of the best cart builds i've seen. as a fairly new woodworker trying to learn Fusion360, i love the idea of a video showing the design process using the software followed by the build video!
I like the separating of modeling vs building. Too many woodworkers on RUclips are putting out 30+ minute videos and I can’t bring myself to watch that much footage when trying to stay excited to build something haha
I do like this build but would suggest adding casters to the center, The base will bow with the 2x4 that way once you add all the weight of the scrap wood.
Sorry about your job. I hope the RUclips thing works for you, because your videos are helpful. I think the format you describe at the end of this video is an excellent idea.
You got laid off and throwing all you money into the hopeful paycheck from RUclips a month or two later? Unlikely. I aprriciate the project and that you have plans but that story just doesn’t sound right to me unless I didn’t hear everything I should.

Oooh great idea, thanks Chris!
You can also add storage containers on the very top face/surface for odds and ends, special pieces of wood, dowels, biscuits, finishes, etc.
I know from experience how difficult it is to make a channel successful. I’m not sure people appreciate the amount of work and effort that goes into producing good content. So Tim I really hope you make this work and do as well as you deserve to my friend.
Well said, thank you Dave!

Very true, camera makes this plywood look a lot nicer than it actually is.

Thanks! I do have a modeling video for this one, but it’s on Fusion.

Oh awesome, thank you!

Thanks! You too!
Your idea to create the fusion 360 first and then another to implement it, is what I really miss in some other channels ! So keep up the good work.
Great video love your content i hate you got laid off from your job but great news your going full time i hope it works out
I hope so too, thank you!
Hey Tim. Great video. Simple, easy to follow. Love the format and not being precious about things. Good luck with the new 'pop up' career. Hope it works out for you.
Thank you, much appreciated!

Thanks! Yeah, that sounds fun! Send me some details: tim@casualbuilds.com
I hope you’re able to keep paying the bills by making videos! Your content is amazing and very helpful! Good luck!

This dude knows his stuff. More content please!!!
Love the structure idea, your last fusion360 video is how i found the channel actually.
Oh awesome, that's great to know - thanks!
I like this design a lot. Gonna modify a little (I just need a stationary holder), but this is a good motivator!
Awesome! Do it up!
I hope your full time youtube quest is a total success. I just found your channel and look forward to more content.
Thank you!
Having a two part build with design followed by actual build is a great idea. Nice job on the lumber storage rack.
Thank you!
One of the best cart builds I've seen. I will be buying your plans for it. Good luck with the chanel!
Thank you!
Great video and awesome use of the Kreig Jig. Hope things turn the other direction concerning the job search. Good Luck!
Thanks! Yeah, I used that thing so many times with this build.
One Tim to another, rooting for you. I like your video structure idea I've been planning out a channel myself and that's the same structure I was also considering
You should start one! Thanks, Tim!
Thanks it's frist one I like and can build easy. Also I like your Introductions no wild stuff , just clam topics best I'm subscriber and will support as much as possible
Awesome video! Keep up the work. Your videos have a great feel. Good luck with everything.
Thank you!
As someone trying to learn both, I find this format to be amazing! I hope you're able to get some more out soon!

Great build!
Great Cart!
Thanks!
Enjoyed the video. I hope everything works out well for you!
Love the idea of you designing in one video and then building in the next. Great job!
Nice cart.
This is a great cart. I like how you didn't waste any space. Hope you make more videos.
Thank you!
Good Luck!
I went and looked at all your tools in your shop . DId not see what kind of mitersaw you had. Would you mind sharing what kind of mitersaw that was. The build was excellent. Great presentation. Great job!
Oh yeah, thanks for letting me know! I have the 12” Delta Cruzer, sliding compound.
Loving your content- you've found a way to be original in a space that's crowded with a lot of good creators. Thanks for all the work you put into this!
I love that the stop block is an actual block 😂 really great video (came right here after watching the video where you designed the cart)!
Sorry to hear about your layoff man. I’ve been there too. I know this video is 3 months old, so hoping you’ve found something by now. You’ve got a like and subscribe from me!
I think that’s an awesome structure plan. I know I would love it
Thank you 🙏🏼😇
great design!
Thank you!
Great work 🛠️
Nice job man!
Good luck with your channel, I can tell you put a lot of work into this video. Efficient design, thanks for the inspiration.
Great video!
well done
Dudeeee, this is exactly what I was looking for! Just bought the plans for this and these are the best plans I’ve bought so far. Concise, yet detailed. Subscribed for sure and will be checking your page for plans anytime I want to get something built now!
Wow, thank you! I’m always open to project ideas and ways to improve my plans, send any feedback over!
Well done production, and useful for most of us dyi dudes
one of the best cart builds i've seen. as a fairly new woodworker trying to learn Fusion360, i love the idea of a video showing the design process using the software followed by the build video!
Wow, thanks! I got a ton of inspiration from a bunch of other really nicely designed carts out there.
Awesome video! Love the structure of design in one video and build in another.
Nice job on the video and design。 Nice clean and simple design。 Best of luck with your channel, from what I seen your off to a good start。
I like the two part build as well. I am learning fusion 360 and find your videos quite helpful in my woodworking.
Awesome, good to know, thanks!
Awesome video and thanks for sharing the plans! Building it this weekend!
Great idea, I have a similar one but I have learned a bunch from your design. I am going to build a new one, coping yours. Thanks
Nice build. Good luck with your channel.... oh, and I subscribed 😊
Commenting to push content to more people. Good luck in your endeavors - great video!
Appreciate that!
Great work! Format idea sounds good. I liked several of your techniques. I’ll be watching!
Great video! Love the simplicity
Thanks for this video! I’ve been wanting to do a wood cart like this and this one looks like exactly what I need!
Nice cart. Best of luck to you.
Great design! Thanks for video!
There's room on the front of the cubbies for a French cleat system is you ever use those. You can make it modular!
I hope you flourish bro!
Can’t believe people are so casual about building these days! This new generation.. I tell ya
We’re all so casual these days, gosh darn kids!
Go Tim!
Great job

Nice
LOVE WORKS!
Liked Subscritbed and commented. Wish you the best of luck man!
Awesome, much appreciate - thanks!
I do like this build but would suggest adding casters to the center, The base will bow with the 2x4 that way once you add all the weight of the scrap wood.
You earned a sub! Hoping the YT works out for you
Appreciate that - thanks!
How many sheets of plywood is this build?
Sorry about your job. I hope the RUclips thing works for you, because your videos are helpful. I think the format you describe at the end of this video is an excellent idea.
Thank you, means a lot!
Hope this helps 😎
3:28 no one should ever have anything to do with that vile and sickening company. lost all respect.
You got laid off and throwing all you money into the hopeful paycheck from RUclips a month or two later? Unlikely. I aprriciate the project and that you have plans but that story just doesn’t sound right to me unless I didn’t hear everything I should.
And that you were mostly seemingly to cutoffs including old tablesaw rip sacrificial boarders
Hopeful paycheck?
