They are the 3 main ghouls so actually, it makes sense. Frankie was the main character in G1, Draculaura was the main character in G2, so now for G3 it's Clawdeen's turn. These are all different interpretations of the brand so things are obviously gonna be different. Plus having clawdeen be the main character we as the audience are getting to know her in a different way than if she was a side character again.
@@zsm3s well yeah it could have worked if they didn’t completely change the characters personalities. I love how Franky is non-binary though, it fits them so well. But honestly the characters don’t feel like themselves. I feel like the reboot would have worked better as a next generation type of thing with references to the original sprinkled in. That’s just my opinion though and of course if you like the show that’s awesome!
My biggest problem with the new Frankie is they having the bodyparts of the greatest genius in monster history.
It can easily turn Frankie into Mary Sue, if the writors don't handle it properly. I already feel like the team is just inserting body parts of person x when their ability is convenient to the plot.
OG Frankie was smart on her own, let this new Frankie be too!

@@LovesArt23 Yeah, the fun part of g1 was that although they weren't that powerful, so they hat to figured out how to use what they had available in interesting ways.
Like that time in "Why do Ghouls Fall in Love" where they orchestrated an entire plan to steal Cupid's arrow from Toralei.
Talking about this makes me so nostalgic, I miss the old Monster High 😞
Well- and I'm not saying this as though even the original Monster High was book-accurate with Frankie or anyone else for that matter- in the original book, The Modern Prometheus, Victor did make the creature out of the finest body parts he could find. Quite literally picking the brain he thought looked the smartest lmao.
Not an excuse for making Frankie just a plot device instead of their own character, but I thought that was an interesting parallel.
@@Victor_Graves that is true tho i believe it was more so he could create the “perfect man” and the book never really claimed adam (thats how i call the monster) was smart just cause of those parts at least from what i know

@@Man-wolf- Well I mean, if Victor picked out the smartest brain, I think that's enough of a hint to it. He made the perfect man by picking the perfect parts and as a result of those perfect parts being picked, Adam has the qualities that come with. Also I do believe Adam is a common headcanon haha.
Talking about the proportions, I think part of the reason why the new generation dolls look weird is because of the necks being shorter. They all look hunched.
Yeah that too I dont get why they did that how did no one notice it when they were working on these dolls
Hi lovesart23, I really like your redesign of frankie and I was thinking maybe if you could redsign the cast and dragons from the new dreamworks httyd animated series. And let me tell you the finished designs looked ugly and even worse in 3D. And I was hoping that you could redsign them. Make them a little better. But If you dont want to than I understand. I hope you read my comment.
I feel like Frankie’s the kind of monster who cuts their own hair, like they see a hair style in a magazine and try to copy it.
Frankie is a perfect character as a main character, as you said start to learn something. In gen one, frankie's first day to monster high, her age was 5 minutes old
It makes sense that clawdeen is the main character now. Now all three of the main ghouls have been a main character in each gen
Frankie has always been my absolute favorite! So glad you redesigned them
Frankie was always my second fav growing up and me too they needed a bit more edge to there outfit

I think out of the new G3 designs, I liked (I say “liked” loosely here) Frankie, Cleo and Draculaura the most, and they are my favorites from G1, because… well Frankie was a preppy goth, Draculaura had (sometimes) Victorian fashion inspired looks and Cleo who grew on me the more I watched G1 Monster High, because Mattel subverted the mean girl which I absolutely loved and her Ancient Egyptian aesthetic was elegant. I was sad to see the preppy goth aspect of Frankie stripped away from them and no Victorian fashion to be seen on Draculaura. Honestly, they should’ve learned from G2 and not reboot it. Monster High again, because that never worked out the first time.
Yeah after doing these videos I've noticed Mattel basically reusing alot of G2s ideas and fashion styles and I'm like G2 did horribly why are you using ideas from that launch like goth is still in (I'd say it's even more popular now) like it was fun to see the difference between each character due to there very different styles of fashion
@@LovesArt23 G1 Monster High made me realize that I’m open to all types of fashion, just like how I’m open to all types of art styles, so seeing G3 happen made me think, “why can’t good things be left alone?”
True and if they were so married to the idea of a reboot they should have stuck with G2 bc that was tolerable had some actual substance not a lot but still I was able to watch both G2 movies I think I watched the first one twice bc it respected their source material
Honestly I think I like the movie designs better,Sure they are a little bland and could be better,but they still had a dark palette plus clawdeens outfit gives more vibes of a fashionista with the fluff coat thing and yeahh
@@LovesArt23 i always saw Draculaura as the type who likes cutesy stuff. Aka the type who would be into animes like precure, card captor sakura and even princess tutu.
Her movie design didn't go too far off from her original design. And i feel like the magic part could have been more of a hobby she keeps to herself. I don't mind the idea of characters using magic. If i had to give draculaura a motive for why she would use magic is more of a connection to gen 1 with something she wanted to do. Aka finding a reason why she hasn't been able to change into a bat.
I love how you tweaked the prosthetic leg to make it more realistic and comfortable! I think it's important to get that kind of thing right in designs and it really disappoints me when it's not done well. The fact that you added the sock is wonderful! This is why you're one of my favorite artists, the attention to detail is immaculate.
Thank you that means alot I always wanna make sure that if I'm doing something new or dont know enough about I research as much as I can and I just knew something was off about the leg as I've seen custom 3d printed prosthetics and they all had the sock on
yes! I don't have any prosthetics myself, but a few of my ocs do. One thing I've noticed is that people tend to have their characters sleep with their prosthetics which just shows a lack of research. It would be very uncomfortable!
The sock would work in the animation, but i think with the doll they wouldn't want to make it seem removable for breakage reasons. Overall it's smart to add a prosthetic. If they just brought it above the knee however it would be better.
@@justhereforfun7288 wouldn't you still need a sock for above the knee prosthetics? Just so the metal doesn't irritate the skin? You made a good point with the doll, I didn't even think about that
What I love about this redesign is how it fits Frankie's origin- as they are a patchwork of many styles and components, and so they embrace it, including how they present themself. They would make more sense as a knowledgeable, but not nerdy type, something too often conflated with one another.
Pinkie Pie is socially smart.
Willow Park is athletically smart.
Blossom of the PPG is generally book-smart.
Frankie can know about secrets without being also the one who passes in maths.
The redesign of Frankie was worth the wait you made them fabulous!

I understand the ‘why does everyone wear skirts or shorts’ frustration but I’ll argue that it’s important for Frankie to wear a skirt. Or at least, it’s really important to me.
To see a character with long hair, eyelashes, high voice and in a cute skirt be non-binary and always treated as non binary made me stupid happy. Non-binary people doesn’t owe people androgyny and seeing a high femme character be non-binary and never be questioned the ‘validity’ of their gender- it just doesn’t happen much in media, and to see it in a kids show is great!
I do fully agree, but I also feel like we're just lacking nonbinary rep all together. Like the. Most I see is full andro, we need more masc and fem enby reps, both afab and amab.
Frankie with braces? Love it. And the brightly decorated prosthetic leg is super cute and very Frankie. I really like this and it also gives a mild Beetlejuice vibe 🤩

Actually- if i remember correctly- Frankensteins monsters does not have a name in the book, his simply just referred as ”the monster” or anything evil and or ugly like “devil” and “ogre” while The creators name is Victor Frankenstein and in the book often gets referred to by either first or last name. Which honestly is kinda funny because in the book Victor didn’t even want to be mentioned in the subject of the monster but in todays media- especially kids think Frankenstein is the monster and not the creator himself, but i do understand that its easier to refer to the monster as Frankenstein because atleast it has a name. It’s also like one of those readaptations in modern media where people decides small changed that goes against the original majnly for simplicity, like the fact that Frankensteins monster is originally yellow and not green.
I think that in one point Frankensteins monster was named Adam as a biblical reference.
From what I remember, the monster named himself Adam after he learned how to read or something along those lines.
It was Nickelendon's that asked for the team to change to avoid Universal coming for them.
But then they allowed Mattel to make Frankenstein's MONSTER and his Bride in the Monster High style.
Now Frankie's parents are the Doctors, Mary and Shelly, so they were MADE by 2 mad scientists (making it more confusing to be honest, because MH in this new universe doesn't allow humans, but if they make a monster it's okay?).
I still think the show can get a little better, I get their target audience is for 9 to 12 years old, not 15, so it will sound a little bit more childish at times, and Nick is notorious of making things more stupid, Winx Club fans you know what I'm talking about.
But I do like the whole visual for the show, the designs are cute, the CGI looks decent for something that it's for on a TV Budget, but Frankie should have been the main character, I don't really like Clawdeen as the main character to be honest, they could have made her a nerd, but at the same time, if I was writing it I would made the fact she is half-human the huge secret she has to keep, and she can only share it with her siblings that also attend MH.
Is way better than Draculaura being a secret WITCH, because Cleo does magic, Mummy magic it's still magic.
Again I just hope Frankie doesn't become the token LGBT+ character of the doll line and show.
I truly wish they did not make Deuce Clawdeen's love interest, they don't fit with each other, even if the new personalities, and it also, sadly sounds, like them avoiding making Clawdeen a Lesbian, because she accidentally ended up being Queer Coded as one(Garret Sanders confirmed himself, that it was an accident, but the team just rolled with it).
All this 100% agree and you know ima talk about lesbian clawdeen like they say they wanna be inclusive but they just ignored her which makes me also fear for frankie becoming the token LGBTQ rep
@@LovesArt23 Deuce has 2 moms, but they are not Main Characters, will rarely show up, so they don't count in my opinion.
But I was super worried when they announced that Frankie was going to be NB.
Garret Sanders has told many times that he and the creative team wanted to include more LGBT+ characters, but Mattel didn't allow them.
But the new Draculaura is clearly Queer Coded, like-she is hiding she is a witch from her dad, she has to keep a “image“ of a person she is not, the only real support she has is from her friends, all the elements are there, but they just didn't have the balls to make at least one of them LGBT+? Just Frankie?
Oh well, let's see what the future holds.
So far Mattel hasn't had any real LGBT+ representation, just Queer Coded characters, like Rafa from the Barbie series, the dude is clearly gay, they just don't give him a line like- I'm going on a date with a special guy, or something like that.
I love this, I totally agree about the fact their skin should be different colors, and I love how stitched together their entire design looks cause it works for Frankie, I also love the vibe it gives off of someone who doesn't know what their doing with their looks but doesn't care what others have to say about those either. They really give off amazing vibes and the design is just so amazing. I also like that you acknowledged the fact about the copyrite but also use clever work arounds that would have kept the design out of trouble. It's just amazing I love how you redesign characters and I honestly can't wait to see the rest of the ghouls, if you redesign them as well.
What confuses me the most is that there are dolls that don’t look like the characters in the show?? Why the hell is Toralei’s hair short in the show yet long for her doll?? And why is Cleo’s outfit completely different. I know we had dolls like these in G1 but they always fit the theme of the movie/show we at least see the characters wearing these outfits once or twice or maybe even throughout the whole movie. It’s just so confusing and doesn’t make sense?? They also look more like middle schoolers to me in the reboot than high schoolers in the original. Idk this whole reboot ain’t it 😭 It’s a descendants/zombies rip off especially the movie.
Also Frankie’s voice actor goes by they/them!! Wasn’t sure if you were talking about the new or old one but yeah. 😭
I know I keep seeing ppl say it's cause the dolls weren't full finished when the show was being made and I'm like then why didnt you wait like the movie fine I don't really care cause animation and live action dont always match but the dolls and doll art and show all not matching like what happend

I had people keep arguing with me on why its fine for toralei to have long hair cause some g1 dolls of her had it too but like-none were her basic, if it was barbie ya all would SCREAM about how bad it is why does mh get a pass on being lazy?

I like how your redesign kinda matches Frankie being like 15 days old. I mean this as a compliment because she looks like she saw other peoples outfits and put them all together. Best design for Frankie I have ever seen

I want to absorb the vibe of this character like how Angel cake absorbs strawberry juice, I want to generate their energy like how fireflies generate light, I want to be them.
Also as a fellow enby myself might I say I love the nail colors and I have to do that sometime also every time I watch a new redesign video I get so angry that I can find clothes like these in real life

I love that you gave them bolts and that's the thing that baffles me with Mattel since they can't give them neck bolts what stopped them from adding the bolts to other places like the wrist or ankle like I get it they might not want a lawsuit with universal but even then if the bolts were placed on a different body part aside from the neck there wouldn't be any issues and we'd still have a Frankie we all know and love just with different bolt placement
I've been waiting for this and let me tell you. I was not the least bit disappointed. Also I agree with everything you're saying. G3 was disappointing and news flash Mattel! Not every girl likes to wear pink or likes the color in general. Not every female character has to have pink
👏👏👏 right like I get it some of us had the pink phase but not at the same time XD like my fav color will always be blue but I still loved the variety of the other dolls colors
@@LovesArt23 exactly! And a lot of girls who had a pink phase grow out of it by the time they're in middle school if not high school. I think one of their biggest problems is they want monster high to have the same vibe as Barbie and it just doesn't work for several reasons

Also I screamed when I saw your idea of the NB flag in Frankie's nails, like is so big brain I don't think I'd ever seen it until now; and the entire aesthetic of Frankie you gave them makes me think they would be like Mabel so in every episode they wear something different because they want to experiment all fashion (and I think it would be fun a gag where they dress alike Cleo and she's like "stop coping me" but Frankie is all "this is fun!"). And the leg, damn that was my favourite part because of the accuracy, like yes they would need a sock even if they are a reanimated corpse like is base prostetic leg care, and it's a stripped sock yesyesyesyes!!!
Overall, prob one of the cutest Frankie's redesigns I'd seen, shame we couldn't see that schoolbag tho ÚwÙ
Exactly I want big mable energy from frankie and 100% how I saw them reacting to fashion like there 15days old they should be excited to try everything they can and experiment with all kinds of makeup and styles
I really like your Frankie redesign, but the reason why their VA changed is because their new VA is non binary hirself and I think it's good to have a non binary VA voice a non binary character as it gives them new opportunities for roles
Oh yeah I'm fine with that I just would like them to try more like emote better there voice just isn't enough for me like the VA that plays raine from TOH is amazing in there line delivery like I want that level of expression

I really love this Redesign! It keeps the whole original style of G1 in it while at least giving some light to the recent looks!
For the Frankie being Nonbinary this, I get why people like them as Nonbinary. But for me(Someone who is a Demigirl), I see them more a female than nonbinary, I feel like it would of made more sense to have had Frankie go from female to nonbinary, kinda like a processes of comfort in their body instead of immediately saying that they are nonbinary with no further context. That's at least how I see it from my personal view.
I feel like the next Gen should of felt like it had more love put into it than feeling like they just threw stuff together and halfing the whole story or plot of em.
I can't wait to see more of your redesigns!

hi there! as an afab enby (who went through a period of thinking they were a demigirl), reading the "i see them more like a female than nonbinary" feels weird (i'd say it kinda made my dysphoria tickle a bit asjdsnanjqk).like, i have a more tipically fem appearance, though its not something i can control due to the way my body looks and where i am in life rn and would definetely like to change; i know some people who identify as nb and some masc people that enjoy dressing/looking more on the fem side of things, and even though i get where you get the "i see them more as a female" from, looking, acting or dressing a certain way does not change the one way feels abt themselves.
tho i do kinda like the idea of them starting the show as a "woman" and slowly but surely discover themselves as the show progresses, i feel like this would be hard to correctly do and really easy to mess up and if not done correctly (and, lets be honest, its probably what would happen) it would leave frankie being nonbinary in a worse position

I was mostly talking about G1 Frankie and not the G3 Frankie, I was more for G1, And can understand that Nonbinary people can look feminine and masculine, and wasn't going off with how they act
I can understand where your point is coming from with how the show could of made the whole factor of transitioning could of taken longer for them to make it happen or it could of done it in the wrong way, but viewing with how Nickelodeon has cover the topic of LGBTQ a lot in their creation's now in these upcoming year's, I feel like they would of been able to do that but I don't know, I can understand where I can be flawed with my statement and how my sentence came off as awful

I just want to point out that in the first episode on youtube frankie pushes the blame for casting a spell on clawdeen and because she is half human she is somehow allowed to brake school rules . Headmaster is like : Monster's will be punished for breaking the rules . Hello human hybrid ! You can brake the rules , of course ! " I hate that so much . Do they not remember that we had a human hybrid already that was being bullied for being a normie ? Also what the heck is their deal with witches ? They litteraly had a character that was a witch and was a celebrity in G1 series .

@@LovesArt23 Yesss!! I just hate how some people aren't trying anymore, hopefully in the future that isn't the case. But considering how even DISNEY said that "animation is for kids" I'm not truly optimistic that we'll be seeing that :(((
i get it but nonbinary ppl can be fem . like you don’t have to make them androgynous to be nonbinary . i wish they would have a more masculine or androgynous nonbinary character but it doesn’t have to be frankie. personally as a fem nonbinary person myself i appreciate this rep, though i agree the overall design could have been better

I absolutely adore adore ADORE your frankie, the new gen honestly scares me a little with how many times they’ve lost something important to the story
I very much love your design and I agree that a lot of the new monster high dolls don't look gothic anymore! Like I get they tried to do new things for a new generation but the gothic looks of everyone was the think that made MH unique and attract it's audience. I like how your Frankie still has their gothic geek look but also some new generation aspects! I just wish the reboot did that instead of putting almost everything on pink!
(Also sorry for my long comment I just wanted to rant a little about the new MH show😅)
This is my favourite designs you’ve done! So much detail and backstory behind this design, it makes me so sad that your ideas weren’t in the series.
Like your idea of the Franken-creatures and the Frankensteins being a chill family who help each other with their creations is soooooo adorable.

Wow! I'm a more recent viewer of your channel, but every redesign video I've seen of yours so far blasts the originals out of the water! Every design you have has so much research, originality, and energy put into it that it makes every single video so much fun to watch, because I know your redesigns aren't going to be just slight tweaks - you really go the whole extra mile and put in so much effort, and that amount of effort really shows in the art and designs you make! You overhaul the character and put so much thought into what styles and backstory would realistically impact the character design, but never forgetting the rule of cool when you have a fun idea along the way. Really excited to see what you're going to do with art and stuff in the future, cuz now I just HAVE to subscribe! Your designs are just GORGEOUS!
The original few versions of monster high were in collaboration with universal, that gave Mattel the full ability to make Frankie green without problem or a court case

I love your Frankie redesign, i wish mattel didn't remove Frankie's green and Logoona's blue color, and i agree with all your points and monster high audience is made up of a lot people besides small children most of fandom/audience is made up of teen and older people, i'm just disappointed with detraction they took for our beloved characters.
These redesigns are so cute!! 😍🥰 Frankie makes perfectly sense as the main character and should’ve stayed that way to be honest. :/

Like everyone I do have complaints about G3 Monster High but the one the nags me the most is Frankie's singing voice in the music videos. It sounds like someone with a mor feminine singing voice is trying to sound deeper to sell the nonbinary stick. Like nonbinary people can have a more feminine or masculine voice for anything.
Yeah singing voices aren't always gender conforming like theres alot of male singers that sound feminine and alot of female singers that sound masculine like they could have just let the VA sing normally unless that is there natural singing voice then go off XD
To add to the bit where Frankie is using their powers 24/7... We all remember that one scene where G1 Frankie almost killed herself from using her electricity too much in one of the movies during the big climax scene, right? Then why can't the new team also understand if G3 Frankie uses their powers too much, it could kill them too?? It feels so off, they're still the same character but just done differently. I feel that if they miss this info, it could really make things weirder.
Gotta love how g3 fans are subtly implying every little girl only likes pinks abd sparkles-definetly not reinforcing some weird gender roles i say sarcasticly
Also honestly i do really love g3 frankie but im not vibing with the “oh their made of genuises so now their a genuise” plot like first off-creepy implications and second off marry shallys frankenstein already showed me he was smart on his own-he had the same intellegince as a regular human there was no need to specificy how high of an IQ the person he was made from had
Also edit: honestly i agree with the power statment-like idk i never looked at the ghouls snd went “why arent they acting like superheros!?” Lik idk i liked that they acted like regular teens for the most part while sometimes using their powers
Like g2 giving draclaura a bat form and clawdeen a wolf form made sense-thats just how their species funcation but frankie having eyes that can turn on like a flashlight, go into static, dark vision, jumping rope lightnings its just-its too much for me ngl
Same with draclauras witch thing that entire plot is so confusing they want it to be realistic to actual witches(thus them being human) but yet want her to be this sick superhero with lasers which-isnt how witchcraft works..
Frankie looks so cool!!! The colors you chose are amazing and I think that's one of the best ways I've seen frankie
But for the new frankie I'm curious to know what they are going to do with victor and all that stuff evolving robecca. If they took away victor from story then I feel like robecca might lost part of the backstory because I can't think a better way for her backstory
Also I want to know if they are going to address the young scientist that died on that island that the ghouls went for vacation

I appreciate G3 Frankie for doing something different and for the much needed representation, but preppy new ghoul Frankie is how I always saw them. Glad both versions exists though! Anyway your redesign is AMAZING.

I looked at the new Monster High series amd the voice of Frankie and I didn't like it. It just didn't fit in my opinion. Especially how it looks with the character when they speak... It just feels weird.
Yeah almost everyone has a voice that doesn't really fit like they need to Express more or stop with the weird tone they have going on clawdeen especially

Yeah companies really need to stop with the whole "dolls = girls therefore, girls= pink and skirts/dresses" thing. Even though they are literally MONSTERS because according to _that_ logic, girls shouldn't like monsters either.
It's just pointless gendering. Frankie doesn't even _have_ a gender lmao. It's not the 60's anymore Mattel. At least Barbie caught up with the times.

I don't hate G3 like I did G2, but I agree that it's boring and not all that interesting. I get the impression that the creators are playing it safe while also promising something awesome for the viewer that may or may not ever show up. But hearing you redesign ideas helped brighten things up.

I’m probably not gonna make any friends by saying this but I’m not a big fan of this g3 Frankie. First off, I don’t like that they made her non-binary. I understand why people like it but I’ve been burned by so many reboots changing characters sexuality and gender as a way to spite fans, that I can’t help but feel they did it with bad intentions. Like saying “haha suck it they’re non-binary now and that’s how they should be”. Especially because this gen is trying to be Uber progressive and (forgive me for saying this) kinda woke. Also the prosthetic leg, I don’t hate it, but I feel like it’s way too over praised. Like everyone acts like this is new and MH never did it before but they did. G1 had a character named Vandala Dubloons who had a peg leg. Granted it’s a peg leg not a prosthetic, and she wasn’t a main character like Frankie, but they still did it, it’s been done before. Also to me, it doesn’t fit Frankie because it looks too robotic and Frankie is an organic reanimated corpse so the metal, robot looking leg doesn’t fit to me. Finally there’s their cartoon design, which I hate. The outfit doesn’t match which doesn’t fit their personality, since they’re supposed to be a smart, prep student, so the different patterned skirt and jacket, doesn’t work with it. Especially because to me, a characters clothes should fit their personality. Finally there’s their hair style. I mean I’m not lgbt+ so maybe I’m just being insensitive, and if I am please forgive me, but the half shaved look looks so stereotypical to me. Like that’s the first kind of person you think of when you think stereotypical lgbt person, is someone with an ugly buzz cut. It especially pisses me off because like I said, this gen is trying to be progressive, probably even more so than Gen 1. So the fact that they make their only lgbt+ character in the main cast look so stereotypical like that pisses me off. Especially because they’ll still probably try to write it off as them being more progressive than gen 1, when gen 1 did nothing like that. For fucks sake the show was created by a GAY MAN! You can’t top that I’m sorry.
Anyway sorry for the long rant, I just wanted to let my feelings out. But no one will probably listen :/

8:09 While people commonly call the monster ”frankenstein” that was never what the monster was called in the book. In the book he was just called ”The creature”, and if you gotta use a name for him then it’d be Adam, that’s what the monster chose for himself.
YES!!!!! I’m glad I’m not the only one pink is in EVERYTHING! I can’t stand it and I love pink but it’s ridiculous on EVERYBODY I swear they showed them to 4-5 year olds I love Lagoona’s prototype!
Given the comment about one of the prototype designs being "scary", I think they might've shown it to 4-5 year olds, not older kids. Which is....not a great idea.

And whoever thought making Lagoona more popular by making her pink then giving her blue legs that the pink part comes off like immediately needs to be fired. They couldn’t of AT LEAST made it durable? Its worse then her fins coming off cause least them you could replace most ppl can’t repaint a doll and can you imagine parents buying the dolls with body paint going “ok I gotta spray your dolls with a sealant before you can play with them” no it’s just gonna make parents be like “I’m not buying those dolls again they are junk” I’ve heard it’s happening to Twyla too now you’d think they’d figured it out already. I keep hoping they’ll pull a 13 wishes type plot line but obviously different so they’ll make a blue Lagoona doll. I like her body type her fin design and her ears everything else I tried I just can’t. I’ve redressed her too cause the clothes are atrocious. I love to see a G3 in OG style for especially Lagoona but all of them mostly. I don’t mind Frankie redesign cept the blue and no bolts, Clawdeen I think I dislike the most seen some ppl redo her though so the potential is there. Draculaura is the best so far but Lagoona they just changed her to an entirely different character completely she could still be everything she is in G3 but blue. The legs need a redesign completely either fix it so paint doesn’t come off her or redesign it completely it’s early. She’s gonna become the least favorite with sales just cause who wants to keep buying a character you unpackage her and she’s messed up pretty much just from that? This isn’t a new concept for MH so idk why it’s so hard for G3

The only part g3 really improved on was the articulation n thats rlly it-at most the body vraitey but again thats it, im sure doll influencers who praise these dolls would scream about how hellish they are if it was barbie-like i like them but the mere excuse for why clawdeen has poly makes no sense/how can lagoona have rainbow while frankie blue and draclaura bright pink saran hair then 😭

I want to like new Lagoona I REALLY do Lagoona been my ghoul since the beginning her cartoon character seems interesting I haven’t seen enough of her nobody has to form a real opinion on her but her doll just sucks. Her ears and new fin design is bout all I like bout her they can’t even web her hands and it’s doable they just need to web half way up instead of the entire hand and she’d still be able to use accessories. The clothes are terrible and ppl say “tHeY aReN’t MaDe FoR yOu” ok who are they made for then? Cause Um if they have body paint kids will ruin them first day out of box it’s not just Lagoona’s legs that chip though she is the worst it’s Frankie’s stitches, Toreli’s stripes and I haven’t unboxed her yet but Twyla been reported to chip or rub off too. Parents will NOT continue to buy a doll brand if the doll is ruined first day. Also have these ppl not seen MGA dolls? Which are for children just a lot of adults love to collect them too. I do not but I want them for their clothes now for MH and everyone seems to get G3 and immediately dress them in a MGA doll brand outfit cause why? The clothes are hideous! I put a G2 Lagoona in G3 Lagoona’s outfit and it literally looks better on her shows it was made with a blue Lagoona in mind cause on pink Lagoona it’s just too busy plus there’s no such universal rule that Lagoona can’t be blue she’s daughter of a sea monster they never used creature from the black Lagoon who is green. Plus if they knew anything bout sea creatures there isn’t many at all that are pink and the only ones I can think off the top of my head are schooling or shoaling fish that would live on a coral reef because their bright colors would make them stand out to predators also why they stay in groups yet Lagoona supposed to be kinda more predatory now? It’s a terrible design. I just want ANY reason for them to make a story twist where even for one release Lagoona is blue again I’ll buy like 6 of them. Cause also I do like her body no complaints on that . And yes what a terrible excuse to give Clawdeen the worst quality hair! Clawdeen is my least favorite G3 til hopefully this skullimate secrets does her some justice “I hope” anyhow. I like some of the new things bout Frankie but I miss their green and bolts. Draculaura is definitely been my favorite in G3 so far. Ghoulia while I’m happy she’s back idk. She’s green, Frankie is blue and Lagoona pink they could made the new bodies updated the characters and STILL kept the colors. I get them for more novelty I don’t have too much faith this will last past 2 years yet unless they really come up with something more to keep attention I knew the new ones would sell cause they are new it’s a novelty and novelty wear off after a short time then ppl go on to something else newer and shiner and don’t see MGA allowing Mattel to beat them they’ll come up with something. So Mattel better keep those alumni dolls coming and start making them easily available cause that’s their actual gold mine. And I HATE when doll influencers claim they love the new Lagoona but have said and say they never like Lagoona to begin with and they actually still don’t like her. But they’ll be upset at their actual favorite character’s changes. They aren’t gonna go out of their way to get future Lagoona releases cause she has magically become their favorite character now. Cause then it makes ppl who can’t think for themselves defend her design. It’s fine if there are ppl actually like it but more ppl hate it then do. You’d think with the spectra type legs they could make her durable as well this isn’t a new design it’s been done and did spectra have this issue?
G3 Frankie is only a 15 days old so they haven’t explore or develop her own potential while her brain is part of many geniuses dead people in her brain and parts. She might change her outfit in future as she matures, she still new to hang around people her age. I’m actually look forward to more Frankie arc with her pet and what scientists was protecting monster high from. Dracula we know is her arc will on telling her father the truth and the witches. I’m quite interested in Clawdeen family and fact they didn’t tell she was a monster or knew much about parent’s secrets. Her dad knew the headmistress and her mom disappearance instead being dead like in the movie. I like mysterious but have say the voice acting ain’t quality I’m use too. I agree conversation and story writing need working on as I feel need express more modern ways people talk as it like some of the don’t know hold proper conversation, I can get Clawdeen being a lonely and social awkward when comes to talking with others her age. She treated as weirdo for something she likes and relates how I was her age when I got excited and talking about anime so people didn’t understand and they were kind of jerks.

As someone who was a big fan of g1 Frankie like she was my favorite character, i loved her so much, i havent really watched the show but i really love that g3 Frankie is non-binary and has prosthetic leg, because they're made from various human parts it just absolutely maked sense, and i like imagining that (however they were created) was missing the leg so they had to build the prosthetic one.
When i heard that they were non-binary in g3 i imagined a design very similar to yours in the fact that is more androginous anyway, love the redesign
