As a Chubby person . I love how they made catty noir have a different body shape in my opinion. Even though my favorite monster high girl is Draculaura i fell like I'm starting too like catty a bit she is a little bit cute ❤❤

an in-universe explanation is that Lagoona's mother is a nymph (and this has been a detail since G1!) so she is a hybrid, and I always thought the choice of making her pink was quite genius after knowing this detail about the character! she is my favorite!
Main critiques I have about og g3 Clawdeen's design -Her hair: I absolute HATE that godawful dusty blonde color they gave her in the show/doll. The second thing is that I hate that they didn't give doll Clawdeen textured hair because if they can give it to Venus, why not Clawdeen! I'm SOOOO glad you brought back the dark brown from the og series AND gave it texture! -Her glasses: I adore the fact that she has glasses but not only do they look absolutely hideous ESPECIALLY in her doll form, but the placement doesn't even make any anatomical sense. It makes sense for werewolves to need glasses and/or contact lens since wolves are actually near-sighted since they can only see up to 75ft. I love how your redesign makes her glasses functional AND fashionable! -Her personality: I love how she's an athletic nerd but it makes me so sad they look away the fierce fashionista aspect of her! I don't think her still really being into fashion would conflict with her love of sporty activities or being a mythology nerd since it would make her more multifaceted. I'm glad you brought that back to your redesign!

I love G3 catty so I’m glad that someone else gave her a better outfit rather than completely changing her character like other redesigns since I like when characters get new body types but hate it when they have unflattering outfits. Ty for doing my girl justice!!!

We all used to hate "Lagoona Pink" but forgot we once hated her when people brough up the Gyaru Lagoona concept lol Also, if she had those working fishtank shoes, I would definitely reconsider about my opinion of the design choices made on her, because I used to LOVE Novi Stars when I was a kid, and I still have mine!
G3 Monster High it's really hard for me to get into but the dolls I do love cause I love the dirffent body types and I like that they made Frankie have a iron leg I find that so unqiue! I really love your redesigns, Dolly :3
About Toralei - She's kind of going through an intense redemption arc in the cartoon lol. At first she was as horrible as the wiki says but her personality changes into being less of a brat as the show goes on (Yep, compared to G1 webisodes G3 has literal ongoing storytelling. It's not really Owl House or Steven Universe level rn tho). I won't spoil why, watch the G3 show guys it's so good.
I'd definitely want to see you do ever after high and descendants maybe you can redesign all the characters from descendants 1 through 3 that'd be pretty cool

I love Your Rendition of Catty, But the Green for GoodLuck thing is odd, Especially since Her Entire Schtick is Bad Luck The Number 13,The Broken Glass Mirrors,and Even her Stage entry and Exit: She Enters Stage Left Under a Ladder and then Exits Stage Right under another Ladder. she even Keeps a Broken Mirror Shard with her. I love that you Changed the Outfit though Her Jacket thing was Atrocious and She looks good in White.

i said it on your community post, but i love g3 catty!! i was so hype when i saw her design and bought her as soon as i saw her in the store! she's currently stored away waiting for me to redo her hairstyle though (baaad box hair on mine) so i don't get to display her currently 😔 i love g3 but find myself wanting to redesign their outfits or hair (snagged a skulltimates torelai stripe on sale and i'm gonna completely redo her look once i get the chance. idk if it was an error if they didn't think to do it, but the neon toralei's second skirt doesn't have a tail hole!! the first skirt has a specific cut out for it. putting it on her without cutting one makes it a really ill fitting tube top). if you do a part 2, i'd love to see you tackle ghoulia!! she's my favorite from g1 and i hope beyond hope they give her some better outfits and, while it isn't design related necessarily, i'm still sad they removed her zombie speak. frankie is another obvious suggestion, i don't think their dolls are bad necessarily, but i do think they could be more fun and i personally miss the preppy goth contrast vibes from g1 (obviously not trying to imply you should do that specifically, you can do whatever you want and it'll be fun to see!!). i'm not into descendants personally, been meaning to check out at least rise of red, but i would still watch a video on it! same goes for EAH!!

sunset jumpscare I know nothing about monster high as it never interested me (especially being a tomboy I despised annyyything "girly"), but I remember when G3 dropped and my brother watchint some movie from the series and honestly? The series is suuuuper pretty I looove Clawdeen, also I had no idea about the cat intial-antagonist!? I love reformed villains... Hey love the designs you chose for G3, as a big g3 fan I could totally see these being used in future doll line gimmicks, also finally someone else knows Pinkie Cooper?! As a kid I was obsessed with her, then she got cancelled and yet still nobody every talked about that fabulous doll 😢 Do you know Kawaii Crush too? About Clawdeen, her personality is never consistent between movie, show, and mvs…. Like with the movies and mv’s she’s into fashion and is a confident and sassy girl…. But like with the show, don’t get me wrong still love her plus her VA, she’s more into the nerdy side? But more nerdy when it comes to monster stuff she really isn’t interested in human things so I guess she was failing her old highschool classes… I think the reason why Shea made this change was so she could be a protagonist that children could easily learn from? Idk I plan on asking her next time she has a Q&A About Toralei and what they said on the wiki…. Early season 1 yes a bully but like not as bad as her g1 counterpart idk why they said completely irredeemable…. I’ll get into a little spoiler territory but the reason why she blackmailed Lagoona in the 4th or 5th episode was so she could win the fearleeding coach tryouts and she wanted Lagoona to make sure she found something to expose Draculaura which is the Witchcraft! Witchcraft is banned in the school because it’s associated with humans and could be very dangerous to monsters think of their fear like the initial fear for uhhh…Arabs or Muslims? Because of 9/11 people were fearful of them because of what the terrorist were associated with religion wise. It’s not present anymore hugely, well at least I don’t deal with any harassment but that’s how I think it could be compared with. Lack of Knowledge + Horrible act with people that look or practice the same thing as you = Irrational fear + Stereotype We find out later on in the season why Toralei is the way she is because she wants to be with her mother more… ever since she became Were-ruler she’s basically abandoned her while still keeping these huge expectations to be the best in the school (Kind of impossible Draculaura tops everyone, Ghoulia got frustrated one episode lol) But yes throughout the season 1 especially when Clawdeen decides to work with her more and trust her we kind of see her attitude shifting and she slowly gets better no longer being mean to others and I think she apologized to Lagoona, while also with the last episode of season one she apologized to Clawdeen as well. Season 2 she’s working on Therapy with her mother, and we finally got to see Sweet Fang so I can’t wait to see what more they do with her character. Sorry for the essay, I just really love G3 and the show… hmm maybe you should watch the new Polly Pocket show, it’s from the same director of g3 and it’s fun plus later on handles some topics, granted I won’t defend the fashion on that one lol but since they are kids I give some passes… anywho glad that RUclips finally started recommending your videos again! I swear the moment you said Toralei my immediately thought was, butch lesbian. Not sure why but back when I was a fan of Gen 1 she definitely gave off that energy. She was such a fun antagonist and I used to love how she was the edgy bad girl. That and honestly how much of a clever trickster she was. Not sure if she’s like that in Gen 3 but I kinda hope she is.
I actually own the clawdeen doll and the cheek fluffs don’t do crap to keep her glasses on so I don’t use them wich sucks because I was so excited about her having glasses because I do

I grew up with Monster High and I will admit I was disappointed but only the animated show not the dolls. I love how monster High made new body types and hair types, I wish I had that when I was a kid. As a cubby person I’m really happy they made characters that are also cubby and have curves

I know nothing about monster high as it never interested me (especially being a tomboy I despised annyyything "girly"), but I remember when G3 dropped and my brother watchint some movie from the series and honestly? The series is suuuuper pretty I looove Clawdeen, also I had no idea about the cat intial-antagonist!? I love reformed villains... Might have to watch g3 because heck knows I won't watch the older gens

About Clawdeen, her personality is never consistent between movie, show, and mvs…. Like with the movies and mv’s she’s into fashion and is a confident and sassy girl…. But like with the show, don’t get me wrong still love her plus her VA, she’s more into the nerdy side? But more nerdy when it comes to monster stuff she really isn’t interested in human things so I guess she was failing her old highschool classes… I think the reason why Shea made this change was so she could be a protagonist that children could easily learn from? Idk I plan on asking her next time she has a Q&A
About Toralei and what they said on the wiki…. Early season 1 yes a bully but like not as bad as her g1 counterpart idk why they said completely irredeemable…. I’ll get into a little spoiler territory but the reason why she blackmailed Lagoona in the 4th or 5th episode was so she could win the fearleeding coach tryouts and she wanted Lagoona to make sure she found something to expose Draculaura which is the Witchcraft! Witchcraft is banned in the school because it’s associated with humans and could be very dangerous to monsters think of their fear like the initial fear for uhhh…Arabs or Muslims? Because of 9/11 people were fearful of them because of what the terrorist were associated with religion wise. It’s not present anymore hugely, well at least I don’t deal with any harassment but that’s how I think it could be compared with.
Lack of Knowledge + Horrible act with people that look or practice the same thing as you = Irrational fear + Stereotype
We find out later on in the season why Toralei is the way she is because she wants to be with her mother more… ever since she became Were-ruler she’s basically abandoned her while still keeping these huge expectations to be the best in the school (Kind of impossible Draculaura tops everyone, Ghoulia got frustrated one episode lol)
But yes throughout the season 1 especially when Clawdeen decides to work with her more and trust her we kind of see her attitude shifting and she slowly gets better no longer being mean to others and I think she apologized to Lagoona, while also with the last episode of season one she apologized to Clawdeen as well. Season 2 she’s working on Therapy with her mother, and we finally got to see Sweet Fang so I can’t wait to see what more they do with her character.
Sorry for the essay, I just really love G3 and the show… hmm maybe you should watch the new Polly Pocket show, it’s from the same director of g3 and it’s fun plus later on handles some topics, granted I won’t defend the fashion on that one lol but since they are kids I give some passes… anywho glad that RUclips finally started recommending your videos again! I swear the moment you said Toralei my immediately thought was, butch lesbian. Not sure why but back when I was a fan of Gen 1 she definitely gave off that energy. She was such a fun antagonist and I used to love how she was the edgy bad girl. That and honestly how much of a clever trickster she was. Not sure if she’s like that in Gen 3 but I kinda hope she is.
I actually own the clawdeen doll and the cheek fluffs don’t do crap to keep her glasses on so I don’t use them wich sucks because I was so excited about her having glasses because I do

She originally was supposed to green and be named lagoona black but bcus of how hard it was to convince mattel to let frankie be green she was changed to blue n renamed lagoona blue

Tbh I don't hate the designs. I just hated the movie's choppy writing. This is why I love gen 3 TV draculaura as a character. She had the best personality there because she was a beautiful blend of every character.
Tbh if I did redesigned lagoona I'd make her a color change doll in the water. Its a doll gimmick but it fits lagoona beautifully
