Omg, the mermaid prompt made me think of how much a mermaid au would be fitting for the two, like, imagine Charlie as a guy living by the sea and Bella as a mermaid who can transform into a human with cool mermaid magic, and they end up meeting with Bella in her human form, but later they also meet while Bella is a mermaid, and, let's say Bella's human and mermaid form are considerably different, like with ophelia, they're similar enough to be the same person, but different enough that Charlie can't tell they're the same person, I think it would be sooooo sweet. I love myself a good ol' mermaid au.
