This was a lot of fun to make though Clawdeen wasn't my main favorite she was still the one I identified the most with growing up in fact I could say she was was the reason for my interest in fashion she was a character that felt real for me in a lot of ways and seeing what she's like now kinda sucks what was fun and unique about her is basically gone I mean we still have the dolls but its still kinda a let down Side note if you got this far I actually ship clawdeen and lagoona
Your clawdeen looks awesome. The vibrant green with the leopard print really makes everything look 3d. Wasn’t expecting the snout, nor the tail though , reminds me of loona, but here a side by side comparison would make loona look bland by comparison. Im sorry for my criticisms, I was not trying to be disrespectful 😔
Well, this is a new Clawdeen. A different one. Gen 3 Clawdeen is for the new generation. I like this one. The original Clawdeen can never be replaced but this one has spunk.

Ok small rant but why do they always have to stereotype people with glasses to be “ nerds “ or outcasted? Especially when they happen to be in school? Honestly it’s getting annoying to be honest, constantly seeing the same tropes again and again just because of one simple aspect of their design. Like they could’ve made Clawdeen as sassy and interesting as she was before and she just happens to wear glasses. Just a thought.
Why can't we ever just get a female character that's in love with fashion and is an amazing individual? Finally a Clawdeen who actually looks like a werewolf. This is a pet peeve that I have with her since gen 1, she looks like a human with a painted dog nose and fangs
Me too all the monsters just looked like normal humans cleo and clawdeen where probably the most human looking and though I love them I just couldn't buy that they were monsters like clawdeen just had fangs and ears that kinda looked like cat ears XD
I actually liked the g1 mh designs and how they looked more like humans. To me the show was always about showing that humans and monsters aren’t so different so we shouldn’t be afraid of them. So I felt like the human like designs were kind of a way of showing that they were more like humans than we think. But that’s just me ❤️
@@pastelstarchild4833 I agree, and I think that for the werewolves they didn't go with the full wolf look cause one, it doesn't match the rest of the characters/dolls, and two because I think they were going for more of a wolfman kind of look. With how the other characters are the children of movie monsters (Frankenstein and Dracula) and how it's especially apparent with the Reel Drama line it really wouldn't make sense to go with a whole Underworld-esque werewolf. As a doll I think it would come out super uncanny, this is a fashion doll line after all, not just a cartoon, not to mention the live action movie. Sorry for the long comment btw
@@aperson2go497 This. I would’ve *loved* to see them push the monster aspect more, but this entire franchise was created to sell *dolls*, first and foremost. While I do think they could’ve pushed minor aspects more (like maybe giving clawdeen visible hair tufts on her arms and legs), going too monstery just wouldn’t translate well into doll form unless they downplayed the fashion aspect.
Honestly, looking at the character's clothes, I have the impression that the creators were afraid to experiment and play with colors. They all have one main color, just in different shades. It reminds me of how beginner artists are afraid that the character will be too colorful so they only use one color
Now that you bring that up it does really feel that way like the creator is no longer there and you see how the workers might have been scared to try anything
She looks so pretty!!! Clawdeen used to be such a powerful person, and it makes me genuinely upset how they changed her. Theres not a character that i look up to now, clawdeen was queer, and this one im not sure, she’s annoying and i did love her and i feel strange how they changed her.
Right it's so hard now a days to find a powerful yet down to earth character in kids media today And oh that irritates me so much like this was Mattel's chance to include more LGBTQ rep with having more than one character but nope they just made frankie nonbinary which thank you I'm very happy with that but you could've also made clawdeen a lesbian heck they could have also made heath nonbinary hes a freaking icon (sorry I love him so much and they ruined him)
they totally did, its fine frankies Nonbinary, i am myslef but the movie has some strange approach that feels oddly dehumanizing(despite that theyre monsters) They all now look like they walked out of claires omg (I definitely didnt respond a month later!!)
I think what I love the most about this is that it’s realistic in terms of a “monster high school student” I’ve seen many redesigns that give her a crop top or low cut shirts. Which is fine for out of school stuff, but she’s a teenager. Most high schools have dress codes that don’t allow it. While still out there and high fashion, it still feels like a teenager in high school with some monster edge. Amazing job! Its also flashy and fun without being gaudy which is a feat onto its own
I did see that Clawdeen had scars and I loved that because werewolves probably have the largest and longest claws, but also bug her siblings going "hey. remember the time-" it's great!

With the werewolf glasses thing, I think the best solution is just that instead of some weird glasses designs, they just have to wear contacts, but I imagine monsters have cheaper glasses and contacts than we do lol. Or instead of typical stems, their glasses have an elastic band, like safety goggles, and they can wear them like that.
Yeah I'd have preferred it If when clawdeen changed her glasses fell off and she had to go to a monster eye doctor to get an elastic band or just not wear them either way
I've seen very small children (4? 5 years old?) with glasses that were like. Wrapped around their head so they don't fall off and they could 100% do something like that
I remeber with catrines scaris doll her sunglasses had a special handles that were different from how usual handles were-they could do that with clawdeens glasses here
typically what I do is glasses but with fabric and buckle design that goes around ears, it let's them tighten up the glasses without things looking weird at least that's how I reason the design choice.
Your Clawdeen looks fabulous! The live action reboot design and the G3 design just had a lot of confusing aspects about it. Some examples are the glasses because wolves have amazing eyesight and I feel like since wolf DNA traits are more dominant in werewolf design and traits it would make more sense that she wouldn't need glasses or they at least could've changed the design of her glasses, the zebra print shirt sleeves and cheetah print overalls don't work together so if they got rid of one of the patterns it would look a bit better, the amount of moon accessories on her are unnecessary and should either be reduced or maybe change her outfit to be like a space theme, the amount of the same shade of purple drives me crazy as you can easily fix that by using different shades of purple or simply do a two second Google search to find pallette that have colors that go well with purple, and a lot of other things. And before anyone says I'm being too harsh, I am not trying to be mean to the designers, there clearly was effort put into the design. I'm mire bitter at the fact that we possibly could've had a better design if they designers had more time.
Yeah I know they had to work during the pandemic to make this new line and that they partnered with a company that works in helping make more inclusive dolls but the design seriously lacks so much plus I managed to find the concept art for clawdeen and it seems they always had this outfit in mind even the prototype doesn't look all the different the team seemed to weirdly dead set on that version
*them talking about the issues of puberty hitting like a bullet train* *me getting flashbacks to when I hated looking in the mirror in like 6th grade because I felt wrong and icky when I saw my full figure* finally...someone gets it, god i still hate mirrors and form fitting clothing (your design is wonderful and I adore the color scheme and werewolf features. This is already my favorite The design they gave her now is the exact opposite of what I remember as a kid watching monster high Your redesign really shows she someone to defend her friends and get into fights, and someone to let lose and go wild. I really liked her VA with her accent that matches your design perfectly 👌
OML I JUST SAW HER DESIGN AND GREEN AND PURPLE ARE JUST SO NICE. Nice use of complementary colors, and I love seeing her fierce again because it seems like they always make her so soft :/ (well in gen 3 and that one movie)

I'll never forgive G3 for taking Claw and Howleen (and Clawdia) out of Clawdeen's family like they were the perfect sibling rep. Also the tail is the best idea for Clawdeen even if she's like "i was in the hoomon realm but i wanna be a momnsster" the tail would be one of the biggest pet peeves for it like it just confines you all nights to be alone you can't hang out with friends nor stay at their houses like AAAAA YES THE TAIL 10/10 Also the hair I love how you dis the curls, they look so cute, and the purple is *chef's kiss*
Oh my god. SHE LOOKS ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!!!!!!!! The neon green and purple goes SO WELL together! Kinda feel disappointed looking at her official GEN3 design now tbh. Like I know it's "supposed to be a reboot" etc, etc.. But that doesn't excuse the fact they made her look like that. Overalls and glasses?? Really?? Your art and redesign of her is just so good. Love the attitude you gave her with this design, and that color pallet- it, is so, satisfying. As I have never seriously watched monster high, by the designs alone, it feels like they took a badass and turned her into a stereotypical nerd. Anyway, you nailed it with your design.
Her shoes are actually so cute I want them on my feet even though I’d probably trip and face plant. I like how much curlier you made her hair and the gold bands in it look soo good good always looks awesome on clawdeen. I love the bits of navy or sort of indigo blue you used on the underpart of her hair and her shoes it’s such a pretty colour! The colours go so well with her darker skin tone especially the green, I always loved her looks where she had green especially the Venus fusion one.
Girl, you went all out for this character, I love her so much she looks even better than the G3 series. Can’t wait to see the other characters redesigns ❤ also, the green goes well with her design. Also one question who will you be doing next?

G3 Clawdeen, while there is a lot that I like about her design, looks like she was designed by someone's grandma who thought G1 Clawdeen looked too aggressive. I love your version of her! Those boots are fantastic, and very much feel like something you would get with G1. Her outfit really harkens back to the fashionista element of her character- which I loved about G1 Clawdeen being the artistic one.
I love the body type you gave Clawdeen! I also had the same body type when I was is 5th grade and I always got stares for it. I also love her hair and how wild it is while it still looks like it was meant to look like that and her shoes are probably my favorite part, keep up the good work!

03:22 This may be a little nitpicky, but what's up with the 3D model's legs? Like, sure, stylized legs exist and they can work pretty well, but the shoes that they added don't blend well with the shape of the legs. It just makes it look like the designers didn't know how to draw/sculpt the legs.
Lol for real right like I could be cause its 3d since I've only seen stylized legs in 2d but yeah the shoes do not help especially when you look at Draculaura since shes in heels
You see as much as I wanna like g3 clawdeen, It is so hard for me to accept considering how solid of a character she was In g1 only to be completely switched on its head, and the overall are also just so not something I feel the character would wear at all. I love that you brought back the green it just works so well with both the shades of brown and purple, and really help the character stand out. Also I am in the same boat, clawdeen deserves a tail and I will die on that hill. Your version definantly feels more like something a person within the character's age range would wear, and I'm really happy with the toe beans!!! I also feel like they could'be kept the glasses aspect, but maybe only when she's in her human form since her hearing and smell get enhanced when she shifts her eyes should too. It would also be sorta a fun quirk as she'd have to try to not suddenly shift without having her classes stored on her person lest she suddenly have poor eyesight which again would be an amazing quirk of hers. idk if its just me tho lol. PS I can't wait to see your versions of the rest of the ghouls cause they feel more monstrous and fun. But also please take your time and not rush as that wouldn't be fun for you. Also also will you be creating monster high OCs? I think that could be a cool project, tho I'm not sure how much brain power that might take lol.
I never noticed Clawdeen didn’t have a tail and now I can’t unsee it. I love the energy of this redesign, she looks so good! I love the snout and the nail polish is killing it! I like to think redesign Clawdeen and redesign Frankie did their nails together.
I definitely like this version of the character especially her hair and her shoes. Her hair is so full, lively, and fun. I usually struggle when working with a purple and green color pallet but you really worked those colors in your favor making a very stylish outfit that pops with personality.
I hate how they made her a timid nerdy character in the new show. I mean come on she’s a WEREWOLF! Wolves are all about strength, and power, and individuality, all things that her new personality is the opposite of! I mean sure her old personality was a bit done before, but at least it fit the werewolf theme. Her new personality doesn’t scream werewolf at all
I LOVE the references you used in Clawdeen's designs! It's such a great nod to previous movies and such and honestly this makes me miss sassy Clawdeen back in G1 Monster High. Though I do want to know why you gave claw marks on Clawdeen's body, just curious! While off topic if they really wanted to go with the half-monster schtick then they could've gone Freaky Friday and had a fusion monster (EX: Siren Von Boo being half siren half-ghost, that kind of thing). Not so much half human half monster it just doesn't work. Plus depending on what they wanted to go with for the movie that character might've been a better protag than G3 Clawdeen, but hey that's my opinion. Random tangent aside, amazing design! 👍
The reason she gave Clawdeen claw marks is most likely because of the sibling rant she had later on in the video, since her and her siblings are werewolves they’re bound to get physical in fights and physical when they’re playing as well.
I missed Clawdeen's purple and brown pallet. Its a good combination Absolutely adored it. To see what they did to her on this iteration was a bit of a let down. I liked her fashion oriented mind, and I liked her iteration with her family. I will say the addition of the fur to the mold of the doll along with the claws was cute and I'm glad they kept the ears. I dislike the style of the glasses myself. There are glasses that hold on to your nose. But the shape , aint it for me. If I get the doll I'm gonna gave to pull a repaint and change the hairstyle. I agree , I'm not feeling the bun either, bit I'm liking the texture. Thank you for addressing teens developing full figures as kids, fellow victim of that too. We should approach that as nonchalant, because at the end of the day, doesn't matter if they are shaped like adults, its still a developing teen. They have it hard enough without all the extra shit piled on em. As for your design, I adore your iteration. You made her more anthro , makes sense. The thing I appreciate the most is the color pallet on her , you gave her really rich deep colors that compliment both her skin tone and her personality. And the hair , thank you for giving it texture and volume. Loving the hair jewelry as well. A nice treat to the eyes, you did justice for clawdeen. Lastly, would love to sea cleo. Shes such a mixed bag for me.

I really agree with you there (hit puberty fast as well), it’s refreshing to see Clawdeen imagined like this! To be honest, I had a vendetta against G3 Clawdeen. It was like “look how they massacred my girl”. This design actually reminds me of myself (I’m an artist, but I also do make some bold fashion choices)
So far she and torali are the only ones who make my brain go crazy everyone else kinda sound all the same which is kinda disappointing since when everyone had accents it made it easier to focus on who was talking

I don't understand of why dirty my favorite character so hard and made her the nerd type, even though we already have Ghoulia as the nerd type in the group. Your other drawings inspired me to make a Draculaura redesign and I wanted to do a Clawdeen one too, but I gave up, not knowing where to go. Funny how I found Draculaura extremely easy while Clawdeen extremely hard and you found them the opposite way :) For Draculaura, I ended up taking the g3 design and applying more Edwardian aspects to it while still keeping it modern, to reflect a bit of what g1 has going on, and I also gave her her ponytails (pigtails? I don't know the difference) back.

My only association with the monster high series is having the theme song in my playlist, but I still love these redesigns. This channel has become like crack to me with how often I watch them (not that I've ever done cocaine 😅)
whilst i wasnt too sure about your frankie redesign from your last video I gotta say you really knocked it out of the park with this one. I really enjoyed all the elements you put together and making them work so well, maybe it's the limited colour palette?
Thank you I really love like the barbie core y2k style and that style always felt like something clawdeen would like and yeah my personal style is very over detailed so I can see how my version of frankie isn't for everyone I do plan to do a more animation friendly version later on

This really makes me want to go rewatch all Monster High movies bcs G1 was my biggest heart and I still love the style of it. G3 took away all the biggest aspects which Monster High held
8:28 I actually do make glasses for dogs, but they’re more of like goggles because they don’t have anything to lean on their ears. It’s actually really funny at first they don’t like them but then after a while they understand that “oh these things help me see”
10:00 Honestly I think it’s really cool that you gave her a full figure even though she supposed to be younger, I have known a lot of friends who developed really strongly very quickly. And honestly of werewolf being the character to represent this makes the most sense since the whole point is that they get hairy and angry it just sounds like a metaphor for puberty hitting you like a sack of bricks.
@@violetpencil9614 it really does fit how puberty feels when you develop fast its scary uncomfortable and all your clothes no longer fit as that's not your body shape anymore and if hit puberty at the end of summer like i did your stuck wearing your brother's clothes cause I didnt have any idea what I could and couldn't wear that wouldn't get me in trouble unlike the other girls also I'd have loved to see clawdeen have to get goggle glasses it's that level of detail that I would have eaten up
@@LovesArt23 Also I didn’t know if you knew this or not but it used to be a part of GEN1 lore of monster high that Clawdeen shaves frequently because her hair grows in very quickly. This was a piece of lore that made parents upset. The way it was described was that she personally preferred to be shaved, but wasn’t particularly ashamed of it. But I can see why parents did not like that message

I love that you brought her fierceness back because is severely lacking in the new version. And I love that she had goals and so much personality that set her apart not to mention the sass. I hated so much how they changed her. Sucked the life outta her. I like that she’s a main character but she always was. Her being the protagonist means she can’t be queer any longer either which sucks massively. Clanky is cute but I wanted so bad to see a fully black girl with a queer love interest. She was such a full and realized person and had so much drive too now she’s clueless and try n a figure everything out which is cool and all but why my girl
the thing in the movie with there being a rule of "no humans allowed" could've made for some interesting plot if they'd pointed out that frankie is a reanimated human, cleo is human just extremely long-lived bc of magic mummifying process, etc. they can keep clawdeen as is I guess (why not make it the "no humans thing" extend to bitten werewolves/vampires/etc? since they're assumed to be "too human") and have the main crew be trying to hide their human aspects even draculaura's thing in G3 with being a witch can be related to that! (Edit: apparently her G1 backstory was that she was bitten to become a vampire so....) (above all I still for the life of me can't understand why they shoved jackson/holt aside when the plot would've fit with him perfectly instead of Hyde JR plot twist)
I honestly think it would be a great idea to make Clawdeen an anthro wolf cus I feel this series is trying to be more modern and adding an anthro character would help and it would just make Clawdeen more interesting. :>

Your Monster High redesign video is my most favorite for example you give Clawdeen more wolf and give her same body type as your's makes sense, like what you said she plays older sister role in the group so her character design should show that and also I'm pretty sure the main idea of Monster High is not only to show unique fashions but also celebrate people's differences so all character have different body type make sense. This was a lot of fun to make though Clawdeen wasn't my main favorite she was still the one I identified the most with growing up in fact I could say she was was the reason for my interest in fashion she was a character that felt real for me in a lot of ways and seeing what she's like now kinda sucks what was fun and unique about her is basically gone I mean we still have the dolls but its still kinda a let down

Your clawdeen looks awesome. The vibrant green with the leopard print really makes everything look 3d. Wasn’t expecting the snout, nor the tail though , reminds me of loona, but here a side by side comparison would make loona look bland by comparison. Well, this is a new Clawdeen. A different one. Gen 3 Clawdeen is for the new generation. I like this one. The original Clawdeen can never be replaced but this one has spunk.

I actually liked the g1 mh designs and how they looked more like humans. To me the show was always about showing that humans and monsters aren’t so different so we shouldn’t be afraid of them. So I felt like the human like designs were kind of a way of showing that they were more like humans than we think. But that’s just me ❤️
@@pastelstarchild4833 I agree, and I think that for the werewolves they didn't go with the full wolf look cause one, it doesn't match the rest of the characters/dolls, and two because I think they were going for more of a wolfman kind of look. With how the other characters are the children of movie monsters (Frankenstein and Dracula) and how it's especially apparent with the Reel Drama line it really wouldn't make sense to go with a whole Underworld-esque werewolf. As a doll I think it would come out super uncanny, this is a fashion doll line after all, not just a cartoon, not to mention the live action movie.

@@aperson2go497 This. I would’ve *loved* to see them push the monster aspect more, but this entire franchise was created to sell *dolls*, first and foremost. While I do think they could’ve pushed minor aspects more (like maybe giving clawdeen visible hair tufts on her arms and legs), going too monstery just wouldn’t translate well into doll form unless they downplayed the fashion aspect.
Honestly, looking at the character's clothes, I have the impression that the creators were afraid to experiment and play with colors. They all have one main color, just in different shades. It reminds me of how beginner artists are afraid that the character will be too colorful so they only use one color
Now that you bring that up it does really feel that way like the creator is no longer there and you see how the workers might have been scared to try anything

I think what I love the most about this is that it’s realistic in terms of a “monster high school student” I’ve seen many redesigns that give her a crop top or low cut shirts. Which is fine for out of school stuff, but she’s a teenager. Most high schools have dress codes that don’t allow it. While still out there and high fashion, it still feels like a teenager in high school with some monster edge. Amazing job! Its also flashy and fun without being gaudy which is a feat onto its own
I did see that Clawdeen had scars and I loved that because werewolves probably have the largest and longest claws, but also bug her siblings going "hey. remember the time-" it's great!

With the werewolf glasses thing, I think the best solution is just that instead of some weird glasses designs, they just have to wear contacts, but I imagine monsters have cheaper glasses and contacts than we do lol. Or instead of typical stems, their glasses have an elastic band, like safety goggles, and they can wear them like that.
Yeah I'd have preferred it If when clawdeen changed her glasses fell off and she had to go to a monster eye doctor to get an elastic band or just not wear them either way

I've seen very small children (4? 5 years old?) with glasses that were like. Wrapped around their head so they don't fall off and they could 100% do something like that
I remeber with catrines scaris doll her sunglasses had a special handles that were different from how usual handles were-they could do that with clawdeens glasses here
typically what I do is glasses but with fabric and buckle design that goes around ears, it let's them tighten up the glasses without things looking weird at least that's how I reason the design choice.
Your Clawdeen looks fabulous! The live action reboot design and the G3 design just had a lot of confusing aspects about it. Some examples are the glasses because wolves have amazing eyesight and I feel like since wolf DNA traits are more dominant in werewolf design and traits it would make more sense that she wouldn't need glasses or they at least could've changed the design of her glasses, the zebra print shirt sleeves and cheetah print overalls don't work together so if they got rid of one of the patterns it would look a bit better, the amount of moon accessories on her are unnecessary and should either be reduced or maybe change her outfit to be like a space theme, the amount of the same shade of purple drives me crazy as you can easily fix that by using different shades of purple or simply do a two second Google search to find pallette that have colors that go well with purple, and a lot of other things. And before anyone says I'm being too harsh, I am not trying to be mean to the designers, there clearly was effort put into the design. I'm mire bitter at the fact that we possibly could've had a better design if they designers had more time.
Yeah I know they had to work during the pandemic to make this new line and that they partnered with a company that works in helping make more inclusive dolls but the design seriously lacks so much plus I managed to find the concept art for clawdeen and it seems they always had this outfit in mind even the prototype doesn't look all the different the team seemed to weirdly dead set on that version

*me getting flashbacks to when I hated looking in the mirror in like 6th grade because I felt wrong and icky when I saw my full figure* finally...someone gets it, god i still hate mirrors and form fitting clothing (your design is wonderful and I adore the color scheme and werewolf features. OML I JUST SAW HER DESIGN AND GREEN AND PURPLE ARE JUST SO NICE. Nice use of complementary colors, and I love seeing her fierce again because it seems like they always make her so soft :/ (well in gen 3 and that one movie)

I love the bits of navy or sort of indigo blue you used on the underpart of her hair and her shoes it’s such a pretty colour! The colours go so well with her darker skin tone especially the green, I always loved her looks where she had green especially the Venus fusion one.

G3 Clawdeen, while there is a lot that I like about her design, looks like she was designed by someone's grandma who thought G1 Clawdeen looked too aggressive.
I love your version of her! Those boots are fantastic, and very much feel like something you would get with G1. Her outfit really harkens back to the fashionista element of her character- which I loved about G1 Clawdeen being the artistic one.
At this point it’s like a collective agreement that gen3 fell so flat no table could compete, and I love that

Like, sure, stylized legs exist and they can work pretty well, but the shoes that they added don't blend well with the shape of the legs.
It just makes it look like the designers didn't know how to draw/sculpt the legs.

You see as much as I wanna like g3 clawdeen, It is so hard for me to accept considering how solid of a character she was In g1 only to be completely switched on its head, and the overall are also just so not something I feel the character would wear at all. I love that you brought back the green it just works so well with both the shades of brown and purple, and really help the character stand out. Also I am in the same boat, clawdeen deserves a tail and I will die on that hill. Your version definantly feels more like something a person within the character's age range would wear, and I'm really happy with the toe beans!!!
I also feel like they could'be kept the glasses aspect, but maybe only when she's in her human form since her hearing and smell get enhanced when she shifts her eyes should too. It would also be sorta a fun quirk as she'd have to try to not suddenly shift without having her classes stored on her person lest she suddenly have poor eyesight which again would be an amazing quirk of hers. idk if its just me tho lol.
PS I can't wait to see your versions of the rest of the ghouls cause they feel more monstrous and fun. But also please take your time and not rush as that wouldn't be fun for you. Also also will you be creating monster high OCs? I think that could be a cool project, tho I'm not sure how much brain power that might take lol.

I love the energy of this redesign, she looks so good! I love the snout and the nail polish is killing it! I like to think redesign Clawdeen and redesign Frankie did their nails together.
I definitely like this version of the character especially her hair and her shoes. Her hair is so full, lively, and fun. I usually struggle when working with a purple and green color pallet but you really worked those colors in your favor making a very stylish outfit that pops with personality.

Wolves are all about strength, and power, and individuality, all things that her new personality is the opposite of! I LOVE the references you used in Clawdeen's designs! It's such a great nod to previous movies and such and honestly this makes me miss sassy Clawdeen back in G1 Monster High. Though I do want to know why you gave claw marks on Clawdeen's body, just curious!
While off topic if they really wanted to go with the half-monster schtick then they could've gone Freaky Friday and had a fusion monster (EX: Siren Von Boo being half siren half-ghost, that kind of thing). Not so much half human half monster it just doesn't work. Plus depending on what they wanted to go with for the movie that character might've been a better protag than G3 Clawdeen, but hey that's my opinion.

The reason she gave Clawdeen claw marks is most likely because of the sibling rant she had later on in the video, since her and her siblings are werewolves they’re bound to get physical in fights and physical when they’re playing as well.

I missed Clawdeen's purple and brown pallet. Its a good combination Absolutely adored it. To see what they did to her on this iteration was a bit of a let down. I liked her fashion oriented mind, and I liked her iteration with her family.
I will say the addition of the fur to the mold of the doll along with the claws was cute and I'm glad they kept the ears.
I dislike the style of the glasses myself. There are glasses that hold on to your nose. But the shape , aint it for me.
If I get the doll I'm gonna gave to pull a repaint and change the hairstyle. I agree , I'm not feeling the bun either, bit I'm liking the texture.
Thank you for addressing teens developing full figures as kids, fellow victim of that too. We should approach that as nonchalant, because at the end of the day, doesn't matter if they are shaped like adults, its still a developing teen. They have it hard enough without all the extra shit piled on em.
As for your design, I adore your iteration. You made her more anthro , makes sense. The thing I appreciate the most is the color pallet on her , you gave her really rich deep colors that compliment both her skin tone and her personality. And the hair , thank you for giving it texture and volume. Loving the hair jewelry as well. A nice treat to the eyes, you did justice for clawdeen.
Lastly, would love to sea cleo. Shes such a mixed bag for me.

And no problem I just kept seeing ppl say the reason they made clawdeen the way she was was so shed look more like a 15 yr old and I'm like excuse me there are girls who hit puberty faster and have to deal with looking like an adult but acting like a kid yet clawdeen doesn't get to represent us cause it makes ppl uncomfortable sorry but how do they think we felt

I really agree with you there (hit puberty fast as well), it’s refreshing to see Clawdeen imagined like this! To be honest, I had a vendetta against G3 Clawdeen. It was like “look how they massacred my girl”. This design actually reminds me of myself (I’m an artist, but I also do make some bold fashion choices)

So far she and torali are the only ones who make my brain go crazy everyone else kinda sound all the same which is kinda disappointing since when everyone had accents it made it easier to focus on who was talking

Your re-design of Clawdeen Wolf is beautiful!!! And this is much better then the new generation design of Clawdeen. I don't understand of why dirty my favorite character so hard and made her the nerd type, even though we already have Ghoulia as the nerd type in the group. It was pretty stupid of them to do that my poor werewolf girl like that, and thank you for saving her from that god awful design. I love your design of Clawdeen Wolf so much! 🤩

Your other drawings inspired me to make a Draculaura redesign and I wanted to do a Clawdeen one too, but I gave up, not knowing where to go. Funny how I found Draculaura extremely easy while Clawdeen extremely hard and you found them the opposite way :)
For Draculaura, I ended up taking the g3 design and applying more Edwardian aspects to it while still keeping it modern, to reflect a bit of what g1 has going on, and I also gave her her ponytails (pigtails? I don't know the difference) back.

Thank you I really love like the barbie core y2k style and that style always felt like something clawdeen would like and yeah my personal style is very over detailed so I can see how my version of frankie isn't for everyone I do plan to do a more animation friendly version later on

8:28 I actually do make glasses for dogs, but they’re more of like goggles because they don’t have anything to lean on their ears. It’s actually really funny at first they don’t like them but then after a while they understand that “oh these things help me see”
10:00 Honestly I think it’s really cool that you gave her a full figure even though she supposed to be younger, I have known a lot of friends who developed really strongly very quickly. And honestly of werewolf being the character to represent this makes the most sense since the whole point is that they get hairy and angry it just sounds like a metaphor for puberty hitting you like a sack of bricks.
@@violetpencil9614 it really does fit how puberty feels when you develop fast its scary uncomfortable and all your clothes no longer fit as that's not your body shape anymore and if hit puberty at the end of summer like i did your stuck wearing your brother's clothes cause I didnt have any idea what I could and couldn't wear that wouldn't get me in trouble unlike the other girls also I'd have loved to see clawdeen have to get goggle glasses it's that level of detail that I would have eaten up
@@LovesArt23 Also I didn’t know if you knew this or not but it used to be a part of GEN1 lore of monster high that Clawdeen shaves frequently because her hair grows in very quickly. This was a piece of lore that made parents upset. The way it was described was that she personally preferred to be shaved, but wasn’t particularly ashamed of it. But I can see why parents did not like that message
@@violetpencil9614 oh yeah I remember that I think I showed my mom cause I thought It was funny that a doll line was talking about shaving and my mom was like Haha a werewolf shaving personally I never cared about the shaving thing I felt it was pretty reliable since I have alot of dark hair and just felt better being shaved but yeah I can see how parent's didnt like the idea of a teen shaving when the dolls are amid at 6+

I love that you brought her fierceness back because is severely lacking in the new version. And I love that she had goals and so much personality that set her apart not to mention the sass. I hated so much how they changed her. Sucked the life outta her. I like that she’s a main character but she always was. Her being the protagonist means she can’t be queer any longer either which sucks massively. Clanky is cute but I wanted so bad to see a fully black girl with a queer love interest. She was such a full and realized person and had so much drive too now she’s clueless and try n a figure everything out which is cool and all but why my girl

the thing in the movie with there being a rule of "no humans allowed" could've made for some interesting plot if they'd pointed out that frankie is a reanimated human, cleo is human just extremely long-lived bc of magic mummifying process, etc.
they can keep clawdeen as is I guess (why not make it the "no humans thing" extend to bitten werewolves/vampires/etc? since they're assumed to be "too human") and have the main crew be trying to hide their human aspects
even draculaura's thing in G3 with being a witch can be related to that! (Edit: apparently her G1 backstory was that she was bitten to become a vampire so....)
(above all I still for the life of me can't understand why they shoved jackson/holt aside when the plot would've fit with him perfectly instead of Hyde JR plot twist)
PLUS WE ALREADY HAVE A CHARACTER THAT STRUGGLES WITH BEING HALF HUMAN JACKSON/HOLT
I honestly think it would be a great idea to make Clawdeen an anthro wolf cus I feel this series is trying to be more modern and adding an anthro character would help and it would just make Clawdeen more interesting. :>

That was a major flaw g1 did tbh-it was real uncomfantable finding out her actress is a white woman pretending to sound like a Black woman, im glad they changed that in g3

Your Monster High redesign video is my most favorite for example you give Clawdeen more wolf and give her same body type as your's makes sense, like what you said she plays older sister role in the group so her character design should show that and also I'm pretty sure the main idea of Monster High is not only to show unique fashions but also celebrate people's differences so all character have different body type make sense. Plus I prefer werewolf is more wolf than human but you tell it's not a wolf, it makes sense to me because name is werewolf
