- MAN This was a challenge i won't lie it was super hard to come up with something pig themed so i get why she looks like that but when looking at other ppls Re-designs i was still underwhelmed cause i mean rose is a very girly and happy girl her outfit needs to be bold and a bit on the over the top side but I'm super happy with the way this came out and now i can work on hawk moth hehehehe

This outfit instantly shows off her personality. Of course irl people don’t normally dress the way they are personality wise, however in shows, representation is important. I still liked how she was like 2000’s style cause maybe that’s her aesthetic but it was so poorly done so THIS OUTFIT IS A HUGE UPGRADE! I would’ve loved to see lolita Rose in the actual show
Lolita rose would have been amazing to see since alot of the dresses are inspired by the French Rocco era

If i made Rose's face any different. I'd give her more of a doll kinda face. Similar to sayaka mizono from danganronpa. Because i think more of a soft face would make her look more likely younger or more cutesy. For her outfit I'd use winx club as a reference where she'd have a similar dress to stella. Except with leggings underneath. However said leggings would go past her knees. I think the idea of her having sandles could work but would have more of a lapis lazuli sandles. That and having a small ribbon on one of her legs.
For her hero design I'd have the mask being pink with some black splotches. The hair. Id have it go heart catch precure cure sunshine by her hair growing out. It would have her hair being a lot like cure lemonade and having the animal ears. The outfit starting with the top. She'd wear a turtleneck with some see through puffy sleeves. And with the gloves being more like cuffs. Kinda like in doki doki precure. The chest pin id have looking like a little ribbon pin. The skirt part i would have going full cure lemonade mode and wearing a fluffy tutu. On the back would be a bow showing a curly singular ribbon coming out to represent the tail. There would be leggings underneath kinda like in smile precure and precure yes 5. Her shoes would be sorta boot heels kinda like in winx club. I was thinking they'd be similar to stella's by being knee length and high heel platforms. And ofcourse it would be styled to look like lil pig feet.
I can understand your dislike of the overly sweet and bubbly character as when not properly balanced by other traits they can be annoying. However, I like Fluttershy because over time she falls out of this trope by developing more sassiness and speaks way less high pitched and soft and more motherly and mature. She actually has moments of rage, pure sass, and sarcasm. Though during season 1 I can see people not liking her voice because of how over to top shy and squeaky they make her.

I love the redesign. It's sad though that there is no unicorn miraculous. Because when we see her wearing the unicorn outfit in the kitty section,I think it's her favourite. Also,she's just so innocent and neutral. I mean look,she didn't say any bad things about Chloe even though Chloe is a brat. I just think she's so suited for the ladybug miraculous cause she's so underrated for a reason. And her and julekas relationship is so cute and healthy unlike the main casts relationship and pairing.
True, since there was a dragon miraculous, I dont see a reason why there wouldn't be an unicorn one
@@nebulotion not unless they expand to other mythological creatures. The dragon is there because of the Asian (Chinese) Zodiac. The black cat and the ladybug are there because their symbolism of bad/good luck.

As someone with Epilepsy I personally believe that Rose have epilepsy for a few reasons stated below. However If she is meant to have Epilepsy, they should've stated it directly in the show(As it would helps more people understand what's it's like to have it, and shows to the audience that Epilepsy does not make you weak.)
1. One of the main signs of a seizure coming is headaches(Which Is the main symptom of Rose's illness)
2.Its possible that Miss Bustier have someone go with Rose just in case she get a seizure on the way to the nurses station.
3.Rose said the main reason she have headaches was because she forgot to take "Mr Brekkie"(Epileptic medicine?) that day.
4.Its possible that she got a seizure so bad, she ended up having to go to the hospital.
Mr.brekkie is actually just breakfast I'm 99.9% sure

I knew from the start this was going to be better then her original design but it looks better then I thought. I love the whole magical girl inspiration for her hero outfit cause you know she loves sailor moon and the like, she just does okay.
I think the tiptoeing thing is less about hurting feelings and more about not having to do a whole lot of research. Similar to when people portray things like autism, ADHD, etc, the character is clearly *coded* to have a specific chronic illness/disorder/disability, but if they come out and say what exactly it is then it comes with the expectation of doing a decent amount of research to portray it properly and a lot of companies just...dont wanna bother, unfortunately.
The company producing shows and the people in charge of writing have the resources to do deep and well constructed research: hiring consultants or people to do the research, interviewing (in your example) autistic people to talk about their experiences etc.
It’s becoming frustrating that they only tiptoe in representation while the Internet and fast communication are here. There’s no excuses anymore to hide behind like « oh but I didn’t know and I don’t know where to look ! »
Yea, everyone is just going to complain about any flaw that isn't similar to theirs. That's why no one can represent anything on TV because everyone is going to be bitching. Keep trying to criticize it, and you won't be able to say anything about it. Then people complain about not being represented and not getting enough attention.

@@yytyyy5329 While that does happen, I think its less so in comparison to the amount of times companies just default to the stereotypical depiction. While Im certain people would still complain, it would happen less if there was actual variety in the portrayals, rather than just a singular tokenized depiction.

I like how Rose as a hero looks like a jester. Her power is happiness and it's fitting that she would want to entertain others, like a jester.

Pigella's outfit is WAY different from original and from what I expected, but's far better. And I knew you'd make Rose's civilian outfit very cute!
I love that her bloomers in the pigella costume look a bit like her akumatized costume!! Were you referencing that on purpose? Also as far as personality goes I dont have too much of a problem with her being overly sweet, I could see maybe being "nice" as a result of having a life-threatening condition. Like, if something happens she wants to be remembered as a kind person or maybe she feels life is too short to be mean. But it would be more interesting if the show elaborated on that and maybe even allowed her to express that maybe she's tired of this super sweet persona and being resilient. Maybe her friends can help her embrace the part of herself that lets her anger out through screaming along to metal music and she takes on a little more punk attributes (which juleka could help with!!) I'm not caught up and tbh I kinda fell off so maybe some of this is canon. Long comment aside I really enjoyed watching your process and your commentary got me thinking haha

I cannot wait for Hawkmoth/Shadowmoth. His silver bald luchador mask turns of the his entire design for me and don't even get me started on the ugliness of the his palette. Grey with purple, ugh. Also, his refined teeth and his refined jawline doesn't help much, it's uncanny and can get disturbing.
Yeah the grey purple is kinda yuck probably why I'm not the biggest fan or my asexual pride flag lol and yeah his mask is ridiculous its really not needed
I thought 2003 Starfire knocked that color scheme out of the park, and I feel it works with Hawkmoth because the purple is somewhat desaturated. The less colorful, the more serious it feels.
@@laurenhodges6411 I think its the metallic of the grey that makes it hard to look at and I don't mind the purple its the grey i have issue with but i blame that on the show being 3d

Rose's civilian design is dope. It's so simple and yet so fitting, and also so distinguished. I love the idea of shorter hair, implying she may have lost it during her treatments and it just started growing back, and it also implies the 'Went through hell, yet I still look dope', which I love.
I wish they would make it officially out loud Canon that Rose has cancer because it would explain so much. Her lively attitude, living in the moment and always seeing positives, adoring romance and love because she's read fairytales and that's her view of love - 'Happily ever after' and the representation it would give kids - like especially with her episodes when her sickness comes back and her stating she doesn't want to be treated differently, she just wants to be a child-
But noooooooo. I adore both their designs. Both civilian and Hero, these are dope as hell.
i actually kinda liked pigellas outfit, i dont know what exactly i liked about it so much but i just did, but your redesign is really awesome and i love it so much.
i love how you actually referenced the animal its based on in it. + the way you put 2 pearl bracelets and 2 anklets is actually really smart since that might confuse the villain since they wouldnt know which one is the actual miraculous
I also liked pigella's outfit, but I think it's because of the skirt. 'Coz I'm a sucker for skirts hahahhaha. And a hero wearing skirt (as long as it's battle efficient, pigella's doesn't seem to be a nuisance/will hold back pigella's movement) is also nice to have!
Love her new look, alot of her original color scheme felt all over the place & for the longest time I didn't even know she was wearing a skirt (thought it was a dress) her new look takes it & works, I also love how her hero look actually has pig features to it instead of a candy land character (the swirl looks like a piece of candy) cant wait to see shadow/hawkmoth, his mask always look off & his he's supposed to be a fashion designer but only went with a suit & tie & then his hawk moth look didnt do much either, for someone in gabriels work I kinda expected something that would look good in battle & on the runway

I feel like both rose and Julika would have a couples bracelet, and in turn both of them would incorporate something similar in the hero outfits.
I love this design so much better, it also makes me so sad we will never see a proper 2D miraculous series cause I think that would have looked so good 😭😭. Amazing work !

I agree with what you said about extremely bubbly and gentle characters who are only known for those traits are... Ew. As a comment I saw here, it would be nice for Rose to use heavy metal as a way to express her anger, she would be tired of her friends only seeing her happy side and her family only expecting her... I don't know, the side sad? Instead of songs about unicorns I see her doing songs in the style that Jeff Williams does for rwby. And after the episode of Chat Blanc, it would be nice if she liked a little gambling and things like that, not necessarily just because of her clinical condition but because she really likes to take risks! I have a friend with a degenerative disease and she is like this Rose idea, but in her case she has a tendency to get into conflict easily and she likes leadership positions. Although singing is a career, I wanted her to have other interests, maybe being a vet or part of the fire department? Maybe she might like things like computing, astronomy, botany, architecture, archeology....MLB SCREENWRITERS GIVE THESE CHARACTERS A SHIT OF DEVELOPMENT!

Not gonna lie, I was kinda concerned on the hero redesign by looking at the thumbnail but I honestly love it, I like how you added in darker colors and it's a really nice touch up, I like how in her civilian look, how she looks more girly also how her dress looks like a nice princess dress

Wow- I wouldn't know color theory if it bit me on the butt- but even I knew Pigella's mask was off. I really love this blushy pink and black! 😸 it's SO much better!
Absolute love this design. I didn’t realise how much Rose’s original colour scheme bothered me until you changed it to pastels. It looks so much better and sweeter. Makes her seem like a very kind person.
I love how long you made her pigtails! They really give off the pig vibe plus they make her look very excitable which I think she is and would be as a hero.
That last get excited reminded me of Senku from Dr Stone lol
This design is so much better than the original! I love how cute and bubbly it looks and it works perfectly for Rose! I do have a minor critique that I think her blonde hair should have stayed as Pigella, but that color also works well with Rose. Great work!!!

I do wish the miraculous holders had more variety of hair and eye colors like their kwamis. That would really cool to see and so much more interesting!! I think just for me personally it's just alot of pink in one single design, but I guess for the pig miraculous it works!

Her eyes have always bothered me too. They're creepy, like some kind of alien. Speaking of which, her official Pigella costume reminds me of a 70's era space alien costume for a low budget kid's show.
The costume was little too busy compared to the show's other costumes, but over all I really like the redesign. I'm loving that asymmetrical mask especially. I definitely like the redesign of her normal look too. It's much easier on the eyes to look at and gives a really sweet, innocent vibe.
I think they were purposely generic with her illness. Kind of makes sense, this way it can be whatever the individual audience members want it to be. My first thought was actually diabetes, because low sugar levels can cause headaches and land you in the hospital if not taken care of right away. Properly managed, it can be an "invisible" chronic illness.
Ok 1 dissing my girl Molly should be a crime. And 2 valid points, Rose really made me cringe because how overly sweet and the way she's designed makes me gag. So good job

As someone with a family member that went through cancer, I would have personally liked to see it. Especially since Rose and that family member were about the same age as when it happened. But if it was another illness, that is fine as well.
Side note though, I LOVE your design for her. And honestly, this feels like a missed potential for Rose. But interesting little bit about the artist that made the superheroe designs, makes you wonder what is going on over there. Still, love this redesign as well

Actually fun fact, Erin Fitzgerald voices BOTH juleka and rose. So I guess Erin wanted to make their voices sound as different as possible...even if one of then Iis SUPER ANNOYING!!!
Personally I would have LOVED if rose had the voice of Taylor McNee aka Penny Polendina from RWBY, her voice is a perfect blend of sweet, innocent but not painful to the ears!

Idk about the English dub, but I remember the Swedish dub had them actually not shy away from the fact she had cancer.
very nice redesign, you know granted they give her the Pig Miraculous, because pigs can be mostly pink, just something to toss out there, her having a "unspecified" disease, what could have, might've been heart disease related, (based on the medical miracle, that was about a man whose heart was replaced with a pig's heart)

Daisy (the kwamii) doesn't have a double letter and it scares me
but the idea that Rose has more spots coming from other spots (if that makes sense) than Daisy is cute to me
cuz the kwamii has maybe one or two singular spots, and Rose is just a bubbly and nice girl

Bro I foking love this design, I was physically hurted by the og designs. I absolutely adore how your designs actually mad me feel she was a very soft and innocent character (og design gave me very crackhead, but I think it was mainly due to the colors). I like how everything was very in theme, just by looking at her y'all already know her. I appreciate this design from both a fashion point of view and a character design point of view.
I completely agree with you saying they should just straight up say what her illness is (in this case, maybe cancer). I've had family and loved ones pass with cancer, and yes, hearing it might hurt a bit but it also brings about a sense of understanding and comadery if they just say it out loud. Like, it makes it feel like we aren't allowed to talk about cancer when it is such a common disease families experience--it makes it feel shameful, and I hate that kind of implication.

Pigella's outfit is so perfect! It screams the pig theme of her kwami and Rose's inner child!
But what I love about it the most is how you incorporated her kwami's eyes to her mask. Because tbh, your redesign made me realize that her hero suit really does not reflect her kwami. It's making me question where they got the design and color schemes when the kwami is already THERE for the inspiration--
i completely agree with the hero outfit, i t was so weird it felt like 1950's scifi to me, i was expecting more princessy or a magical girl style i don't think they mentioned rose liked scifi. i did a redesign with a magical girl style and i added blue ribbons to give some difference from the pink. plus it was a nod to a blue ribbon pig.
balloon head baby time. I love her akumatized form too, although the green tint of her skin is kinda… eh… oh I have problems with sound too! I tried watching multiple shows in the past but had to pass bc the main character's voice drove me nuts. never paid attention to those wings on her shirt what. your design is adorable! she does look very soft and princess-y, it's perfect for her! candyland sleep paralysis demon. the mask is unnerving tbh it looks so weird from afar. your hero design… she looks lovable and lovely. yes, both. I bet so many little girls would adore her if that was her design. even kid me, who hated pink, would probably like that hero design to bits. oh, Rose absolutely loves glitter. glitter everywhere with her. she's a magical girl dream, so job done to perfection.
Both designs are absolutely adorable! I especially love her civilian design, while I don’t watch Miraculous I do enjoy character types like this so I was really excited to see all the adorable pastel pinks 🥺❤️✨

I love the outfit redesigns honestly I think they look so much better than the show. The only thing that I can think of is that it might be a little too busy? Still lovely, but with how much is on there, and how many details are on there, I think it would make her stick out compared to the others
Yeah i wanted roses suit to be busy-er than everyone elses since we probably wouldn't see as often since the pig miraculous isnt the most useful power to fight with and cause roses personality is so over the the top and child like I imagine her costume would be busyer than most
two things 1) Rose's concept is based on a French phrase "La vie en rose." To live life in pink. Even her name is a pun off of it, so they make her ridiculously optimistic. 2) With how vague they made her chronic condition it also paralleled my brother and I having seizures. I don't know if they made it vague so that it could apply to multiple medical conditions or if they didn't invest a lot of research. But I think the vagueness helps the target audience kids (4-8 year olds) get a frame of reference for whoever doesn't already have experience with loved ones suffering from chronic conditions. More easily applied to a broad scope of issues rather than targeted.
I'm from 1995 so I grow up watching Super Pig on CN and since I saw the Pig Kwami I was so excited for something that looks like it! And both os the clothes remind me of that cartoon. But again, because it was a pig magic girl. I love you concepts for the crew os Miraculous! I need more of it >

I think the reason as to why pink and white don’t go together is because pink is technically red mixed with white so it kind of blends

@@whatever5401 I just don’t think it works because in a sense, it’s just red mixed with white and more white, which is not only bland, but if it’s bright pink it’s just headache inducing.
Though i think it works best if it’s a off white and a pastel pink(I don’t know, I just learning about art history and I think pink and white is not a pleasing color palette)

Rose's redesign is very, very cute and much prefered over the show's version. I do think that the see through thing on Pigella's outfit is maybe a little too much. It just feels a little unecessary and takes a lot of attention away from the rest of the outfit.
I think it would have been cool if she had puffed up sleeves (if that description makes sense) since it looked so good on her in her akumatized form and would go well with the princess/magical girl style.

At the start with the sketch I wasn't so sold to your Pigella (is that how you write it?) But at the end I fell in love with it, the pigtails, the pinks you choose, the weapon, IS ALL JUST SO CUTE 💖💝💗

Ahhh I’m quite late, but I absolutely love Rose’s design here!! I agree her 3d model can be quite creepy and her outfits feel kinda off, but I absolutely adore the way you redesigned her! The colors are a lot more soft and they’re very pleasing to look at

i love this redesign so cute. og rose civilian "outfit" really botherd me its her face/ the eyes mostly. i like what you did with her design. i personlity didn't hate her hero coustume mostly because i like the pigtails and skirt but its deffintly not great and doesn't look like a pig.
Yeah hero OG hero suit its the worst thing ever I thibk it was just the colors they used and the lack of pig elements its my third fav animal I wanna see a suit just as cute as they are lol

I actually like characters like Rose because I have a weakness for sweet characters but when they reach their limit; they become aggressive and I like it because you never expect the sweet girl to be mean. Like Cat from victorious where she pretty much beat up the entire group over their phones. I also remember reading this fanfic where Rose got mad at Chole and she made her cry and gave her the finger.
I love the adjustment to the "weapon" sometimes small elements like these is what could be missing (except in this case where most of her outfit needed work) Either way great design 💯

Since you did Rose, it would be rather fitting if you did Juleka. I'm rather fine with her hero suit, I rather enjoy it compared to some of the others, but it could be better.
Honestly they might be trying to avoid outshining the Ladybug costume. I feel like they made a bad call early on and rather than changing it in later seasons they just doubled down on it. I'm looking forward to Hawk Moth/Shadow Moth, but another character I would like to see is Ayla.

She is so cute!! I love the outfit you gave her. The very first concept of her do featured brown in it. Another designer changed it into the candy- like magical girl design which is really cute!! But I think fan designs are always the best (not shitting on the official ones, they are good too)
Honestly also remember before Pigella was in the show? I remember fan depictions of pig miraculous rose being way better than canon.
the same thing applies to most of the miraculous costumes. The fans' ideas on the costumes and powers are usually way better than the show

Let me firstly say, I love this design it is so much better than her original design like the colors and how much attention you did for her character onto her outfit but I feel that I wanted to see a small reference to her liking rock or hard metal like the wings. I feel that is like one of the aspects that make her a bit more unique from other girly girl tropes like her. But honestly that's my own personal opinion of course lmao. Honestly tho this design is amazing! Keep doing what u do!

Honestly, another 3d model I don’t like is Juleka.
Because when she’s next to Zoe, she just looks so off.
Her head is huge and Zoe is weirdly semi realistic at times and when they stand next to each other, Juleka looks off.
Like she doesn’t belong in the show.
Still love her, but her giant head is terrifying.
Yeah ive noticed that to it seems alot of the background classmates models sometimes don't match the cast or the show at all

I legit love her redesign I love Rose but I dont feel like her design really fits her both her non hero and hero this is amazing this has to my favorite my second has to be Lumire I do love all of the redesigns and stuff so far but my top two are Rose and Gab
