Although I love kagamis new style you gave her I feel like the whole point of her “uniform” was to show that she was still heavily appealing to her mothers precise perception of her. Just like how Adrian dresses neat because of his father and his influence in fashion. Maybe kagamis new style could be something that slowly shifts throughout the story and is her little way of rebeling against her mother in secret (since she’s blind and can’t see)
I like to hope that Adrien still has an appreciation for fashion due to growing up with it, similar to Chloe (which is why I'm disappointed with their hero designs).
I actually really liked the uniform because it was a nice homage to anime(mahou shoujo anime in particular), because ladybug is a total ripoff from "Tokyo mew mew" and all of the precure series put together. But since Callie's version is not a total ripoff, I guess your version of incorporating the uniform and style change is really cool!
Yeah, her mom controls her with everything she does.. kagami doesn't do a single thing or have a single hobby her mom doesn't want. If anything id expect kagami to have more traditional and more conservative clothing styles since her mother probably picks out and dresses her with the clothes she (her mother) likes. kagami has a very controlling parent like adrian, thats why they bonded so much
in a better written plot kagami can start out wearing the uniform, and then transition into/sneak out and wear an outfit that is actually fitting to her
*Yes, she's blue now* I haven't actually watched the video yet, but I was immediately interested in the blue design because a) It would contrast with Marinette's red colour scheme and b) Draws a closer connection to water and weather elements than red; I highly doubt any dragon with weather powers were depicted as red edit: OH Also also, that would make it a literal representation of her and Marinette's red oni, blue oni dynamic
And Dragon Bug being red would fit with her being a dragon of fortune related with the sun (ladybug's influence) and it would fit even more as a fusion
In Chinese mythology the opposite of the dragon is the phoenix, and I think the peacock has strong symbology to suggest that there's a nod there to the two being opposites. I think that they should have rolled with the four guardian beasts more rather than less.
(if anyone is genuinely still watching this show spoilers ahead) it is being implied in the show rn that both adrien and kagami are sentimonsters which is how they are both so “perfect”. their parents are in full control of both of their actions and their parents want them to date which makes their whole relationship in hindsight feel so forced to me 😭 the writing of this show has me banging my head against the wall constantly why did they do this
Honestly, I love the design but, since Kagami's mom is so controlling, maybe that the "street fashion" wouldn't do it... don't get me wrong, it's perfect for Kagami, but I really see her having this style when she will be free from her mother influence and the pression she put on herself to be perfect. Maybe it's just me tho, it's still is incredible ^^ And I love the super-hero design too !
17:21 it was a draw, and yes, Marinette gave Adrien the win, but the point was that Kagami was taught not to accept defeat and that led to her akumatization, but at the end of the episode Adrien talks to her about it and his kindness was one of the things that makes Kagami start to like him. Trying to show that you can lose and that it might not be so bad seems like a good concept to me.
That sounds about right. Plus, let’s be honest, Adrien did the exact same thing in Copycat because of his petty jealous, so I actually see that situation as karma for Adrien’s own actions.
I think there was a comment awhile back from an avid fencer who watches MLB. They said that it was Adrien's win in that duel with Kagami. I don't remember the exact details since I don't understand the sport all that well, but it sounded legit.

I'll forever be frustrated that "Miracle Queen" occured because Marinette was jealous of Adrien spending time with Kagami--and she never took reaponsibility for it!
Marinette really just didn't care about Kagami. And I seriously wish Kagami would've cut her friendship with Marinette out. It's not healthy to be friends with her. And Kagami deserves better than Marinette as a friend.

Marinette never takes responsibility for anything it feels like. The show wants her to be quirky and relatable while also being the pinnacle of goodness, but instead of finding a good balance of these two, like in Spiderman, they keep doing both independently from each other, leading to this really contradictory protagonist (someone kids should really not be looking up to😬)
The show did Kagami dirty, honestly. I still don't know why most fans still villanise her, as if she was super mean to Marinette or smth, just because she's interested in the boy that Mari likes. Marinette and Kagami are a great(but missed) opportunity to show that romantic rivalry doesn't necessarily ruin a close friendship between two people. And would be a good lesson too.
You actually swapped Kagami's and Ryuko's concept appearance, Kagami's outfit is symmetrical and more restrained, while Ryuko's costume is asymmetrical and "imperfect", Kagami has always been required to be perfect, but her costume as Ryuko is her thing and to suit her vision and not someone else's vision of what she should be, and this is what the asymmetry of her suit represents, it's not "perfect" but it's still beautiful!
Wow, unless the show blatantly rips your story off (which Astruc is too narcissistic to do) this is guaranteed to be the best way to end the story. So much better than the actual plot, I got chills when I realized where it was going!
I liked Kagami from the beginning, I already knew that the relationship between her and Adrien would not end well so there was no point in feeling any negative emotions, the fact that I liked Adrinete didn't mean that I had to hate Kagami and Luka because they were "geting in the way" of Adrien and Marinete(as if they don't already have problems because of themselfs 😗), and I didn't mind Kagami's colder attitude because it wouldn't be funny if all the characters were the same, and in the moments where she had a hard time socializing she was relatable to me, everyone has been through a situation where you wanted or had to interact with another person but it was difficult.
I love how as a miraculous holder, Ryuko has part of Phoenix Wright's Japanese first name (Ryuichi) and as a civilian, Kagami's last name is Edgeworth's Japanese last name (Mitsurugi) but with one less syllable.
Honestly, Kagami's name is the weebiest shit I've ever scene. It calls back to little baby me with a character named Yuki Hoshi (Snow Star, for those wondering). Kagami means "mirror" and Tsurugi means "sword". For a girl descended from Samurai to be named "Mirror Sword"... Uh-huh... They couldn't even put any effort in to making her name sound less like a pre-teen's "original character"? Come on, now. lmfao

OMG!!! yess! finally someone understands that it feels like Marinette is only after Adrien for his outer personality (being Adrien) and how terrible that is! if she really wanted to know the true him she wouldn’t be fawning over the perfection his father has molded him into. Kagami would make a way better candidate for Adrien because she understands his struggle, not just going after him because she’s an obsessive stalker like Marinette. I’m genuinely so happy in this version he didn’t end up with Marinette. In the show, it just would seem like a terrible relationship, and that’s proved by that one episode where Adrien finds out Marinette is Ladybug. It seemed like he only went after her because she is Ladybug, not for Marinette. And vice-versa for Marinette! Thank you soo much Calimara! Been here since day one and i’m so happy with the ending! 💕

Really hope Nino gets a redesign. Dude might be the blandest character in Miraculous (which is rather impressive) but he was a member of the original team from Heroes Day. I feel like that earns him some love/respect
I love your redesigns and I am obsessed with this kagami. It didnt really sit right with me having kagami's design based off of a Chinese dragon when she is Japanese, and japanese mythology has dragons as well. I was happy that you paid attention to detail on kagami's samurai ancestry. Keep on doing what your doing, you have a talent.♡♡♡
The interesting part of Japanese dragons is that they are based of Chinese ones. Japan has even adapted some particular dragons from China. Azure dragon being one of them.
So in the end, Adrian basically pulled a True Reset? With the destruction of the Miraculous, it will be like the Universe resetting after Father Pucci gets killed by Emporio. Things go on as normal, just without the Miraculous' influence this time. Marinette will still figure out that she doesn't really like Adrian, and will help Kagami get with him (Not that she needs to, as you said.). Chloe would get all the development she got as Queen Bee, just without the Miraculous' influence. Everything. I like that. I can live with that, if that's what happens.
This redesign is absolutely gorgeous. I love your rewrite, it's hilarious that the fandom writes a better plot and characters than professional writers. Can't wait for the epilogue. Also, could you maybe do a redesign for the kwamis?
The street fashion look would work only when Kagami is no longer emotionally under the control of her mother. It wouldn't work for her now since her look literally contradicts her AS A PERSON.
As much as I love her civilian design and find it beautiful and perfectly matching her personality, her mother brought her up to be a perfect soldier, so it makes sense that the outfit she wears and her hair is dull and lacking personality. I think it would be good if maybe she doesn't start dressing like this until later in the show. But that's just my opinion.

The danger of making a character who is the love rival in a story where the couple are already in love because of "fate" is that you might get tired of knowing that they will end up together anyway, even if there is conflict you know that the main couple is kind of forced to stay together while the rivals can fall in love with the protagonists for other reasons. Obviously this is not mandatory, but it's kind of sad to see a story where the main couple just like each other and continue to like even in impossible situations where the rival would actually be the best matches for them, like, I literally saw an anime of a protagonist who broke up with his girlfriend, got a new love and ended up leaving her to go back to dating his first love even though he stayed away from her and theoretically forgotten her, and yet he just sees her again and come back to like her at the same instant. That was tough, the new girlfriend didn't deserve it 😔
Kagami was instantly my favorite character the second I met her, I'm so happy to see her done right 🤩 she's beautiful and even more of a badass than in the actual show. And it might take a while but I think I wanna try and make an animatic for Kagami and Adrien's chat cause it was just so sweet 🥰 You did an amazing job as always, Callimara!
I actually liked the idea of kagami preferring street fashion. I think it would be intreating if maybe her mother doesn't approve of her clothing choices, and that could creat intresting interactions between them.
I don’t usually leave comments so I know this is very late and it probably won’t make its way to Cali, but either way, I just had to say: Oh. My. God. As someone who unfortunately had an obsession with Miraculous at one point, I have to say that your version of the story compelled me more in a few hours than the real show did in YEARS of lazy storytelling and baiting the fandom. The story was cohesive, dynamic, and ultimately way more satisfying that Miraculous ever was. I’m in awe of how talented and creative you are, both in an artistic and story-telling perspective. I’m so glad that you’re taking the time to complete the story despite being busy with Wildward (which also has me hooked) because now I’m invested and I might die if I don’t get a resolution. So, even though I’m sure you already have an idea of how you’d like the story to end, here are some suggestions: 1. Adrigami and Lukanette as endgame 10000%. The amount of chemistry the characters had, especially in your rewrite, had me giggling and kicking my feet hearing you describe their interactions. Their personalities compliment each other perfectly and getting to see them develop as characters would be super satisfying (plus I live for the fluff) 2. Platonic Adrinette/Ladynoir. Marinette and Adrien most likely became friends first since she had a “crush” on him and I think it would be super cute to see them become best friends in their civilian forms. For example, Adrien would learn about Marinette’s talent in designing and offer to model some of her designs for their own private fashion shoot like he did in the episode Reflekdoll. As for Ladybug and Cat Noir, I’d like to think they’d vent to each other about their civilian problems while on patrol (vaguely of course, as to not risk their identities) and either give advice or just hear each other out. I also think it would be cute if Cat Noir still called Ladybug “Bugaboo” as a nickname because he knew that it annoyed her, but she eventually grew fond of it. Maybe after the show’s revolution, Adrien would call Marinette “Bugaboo” as a little homage to their bond. 3. Potential Gabriel redemption arc. Whether or not you’re thinking of having Gabriel go to jail or not face any consequences with the law, it would be nice to see him learning how to HEALTHILY deal with his grief over Emilie instead of being a hermit in his own home. I think it would be interesting to see Gabriel and Adrien have another family dinner, but Adrien is way more open with his true personality as the dinner continues and it makes Gabriel realize how little he actually knows his son. Natalie would definitely be a huge part of his redemption, helping him reconnect with Adrien after the events of the show. Maybe even subtly tease a potential romance between Gabriel and Natalie, but don’t confirm anything to keep us on our toes and let us draw our own conclusions. 4. Redesign Nino!! While I don’t think he was a big enough character to have any actual effect on the plot (unlike in the show where he messed it up for everybody), he’s still Adrien’s best friend and Alya’s boyfriend, so I think he’s worthy of a redesign. I’d love to see him keep a mostly canon personality (maybe less annoying) while this Adrien is much more socially awkward so Nino can help him get up to speed with teen culture and learn how to socialize with kids their age. And maybe Adrien could help Nino do homework or study with him, seeing as I always headcannoned Nino as someone who struggles in school. I mean, the man has headphones on him at all times, his ass is NOT listening. If I come up with anything else, I’ll edit the comment, but that’s all I got as of right now. Keep up the amazing work, Cali!!
kagami just seems like the characters 1 writer who had good ideas but was shut down so much, but finally one character was excepted so they put everything they had into making her a good character

Omg I can’t wait for the next episode! I got chills at hearing Chat Noir’s wish. This might be an actual way to close up the series while dealing with the little ones who want to have actual miraculous powers. Also- if you want other redesign but not story resign characters, I’d recommend Harry Potter. The uniforms can be a bit plain and I’d like to see what creative liberties you’d take. Maybe a black Hermione? Who knows! Lovely video, as always, and be sure to drink some water and eat some chocolate

I love Kagami’s and Ryuko’s redesign! The rewrite for her was really great and I enjoyed how you did the rewrite of the Miraculous, it was such an interesting and amazing way to end things especially with Adrien’s wish! I can’t wait to see how that goes.

The dragon design looks soo cool!!! I love how the "black" part is irredescent, and the way you drew the scales is eye candy. I agree with other commenters that the point of the uniform was to show how under her mother's control she was, but considering that she's the more assertive how of her and Adrien, it does make sense that she would have a more personalized outfit that him. And your civilian redesign looks so good! Also, Adrien's wish... it's better than anything I could come up with. It garantees that nothing was done in vain since it doesn't require time travel so it's a super satisfying way to end the storyline. I enjoyed these so much! thank you for putting so much time and effort into the videos!

Where you’re pushing forward on line use, I’m actually trying to pull back on it, so seeing your illustrations really helped me see how that minimization could look nice. Amazing! TBH, I loved the lighter blue color scheme. I’m my head cannon bunnix has more white and black since fluff is also a white haire, and the miraculous is based off of the March Haire (the rabbit from Alice in wonderland) I would do white much like you did with your design for Nightingale in your story, WILDWARD. The suit would be similar to a mech armor since Alix is obsessed with technology and history. But that’s just my opinion.
I had a discarded Fanfic idea regarding Kagami and her family. Master Fus Guardians and the Tsurugi family have been in a conflict, regarding who protects the miraculous box. For the longest time the Guardians were the protectors, but then the Temple got destroyed and Master Fu fled and wasn't found. Then Kagamis mother finds out he's hiding in Paris and tries to get the Miraculous Box back. It would be more interesting if it wasn't just Master Fu and Hawkmoth fighting over it. Later on Ladybug becomes the Miraculous Guardian for a short time, but then SHE gets into trouble with Kagami, who is ordered by her mother to retrieve the box. Ikari Gozen happens and Kagami gets the Dragon Miraculous. Marinette and Kagami become friends and Mari decides to give Kagami the Miraculous Box. TLDR: Kagami becomes the guardian of the miraculous, because Marinette already has so much stuff.
Kagami is amazing! The only thing I hate is that Kagami forgave Marinette way too easily in Ikari Gozen. As well as the episode Perfection and Protection. Kagami deserves better than Marinette! And to this day I still say that's true!

Amazing like always! What always bothered me was how her relationship with adrien ended... I get it, adrienette endgame but they completely changed kagami for the breakup and gave the audience a reason to hate her. Why was she bothered by adrien's pose/goofiness? They had fun before!! Why was she pushing herself on adrien? Yes she's straightforward but she didn't kissed him forcefully or whatever. It was so weird. But the worst chloe, she became "because I'm mean" nothing else🤦🏼♀️
It’s funny how Adrien is a ladybug simp bc she is cool and badass and then here comes a COOL BADASS who liked him and he’s so dense that he doesn’t realize that and also we must hide our love for kagami or else she might get a character assassination like Chloe did
I honestly I imagine Kagami with a more conservative outfit, bc her mom would tell her to not waste her time and stupid stuff like fashion, art, self expression, etc. So that outfit that you gave her I would Imagine it’s something that Marinette made for her by thrifting and creating that Kagami. I love the new Ryuko style, but I think she looked better with that same hair style longer and puffier. I would also change her hair to be white hair to show how opposite they are.
I might've said this in a previous video, but I absolutely agree with you that Luka & Marinette & that Adrian & Kagami are better pairings. This is a really good design, & your rewrite is awesome! I hope you make a comic of this eventually, but this is still great! Best of luck on future videos.
I really like your redesign. Although, there is one thing about the Adrigami that I don't agree with. In one episode, I remember Kagami sketching Adrien, and when she told him to pose, showing his true nature, he posed goofy, like a cat. He said it was his trueself but she told him it was just him playing around. The Adrien she fell in love with, was actually Felix. But its just my opinion.
I respect your opinion. Adrigami is thankfully onward in season 5 a healthy friendship. And Feligami is really interesting. What's sad is a lot of people have been ignoring it.

Personally, I think that if someone really fell in love with Chat Noir, it would mean that they love the real Adrien. I also agreed that Feligami was an interesting ship simply because I didn't expect it. Also, when I wrote this comment, I didn't mean to say that Adrienette is a good ship, because it certainly isn't.

When it comes to hating your own art, I think every artist goes through that at some points! Essentially, your taste is better than your current skill right now. This feeling will probably continue for a little while until your skill catches up, and then you'll start loving your art again. I went through the exact same thing a couple months ago, but now I'm really proud of my recent works! The point is, I think your work is great but I totally understand the struggle haha

I am disappointed that not only this is the end, but the way the last part is written. I kinda wanna see how you would rewrite Feligami here. I like the idea of them having a potential enemy-to-lover/Batman-Catwoman relationship, they attempted to do that in the show, but it was rushed.
I really love this rewrite and redesign for Kagami. She is also one of my favorite characters from Miraculous and her social awkwardness and bold and blunt nature was what made me interested in her character. It makes a lot of sense that she and Adrien are a good fit for each other, and I enjoyed that you had Marinette realize that she’s happy being friends with Adrien and helping Kagami and Adrien be together. I’m also wondering what will happen to the Kwamis since Adrien’s wish is to destroy the Miraculous and what the consequences will be. I’m excited to see the epilogue!
About your concerns about your art stagnating, I'd say maybe try incoporating more textures and experimenting with different body types and face structures? I feel like thats something that could help! Basically try playing with your conposition and redering

I love the drawing you did for this! The line art is really awesome! Keep experimenting! For me, it's one of the best ways to really improve. Trying new brushes, and techniques really yields some neat results, even if they aren't permeant. Also, I'm really liking this redesign!
I adore this design. It's wonderful. Personally I'm still fond of the adrienette endgame because I know it can be handled much better then the show's done. But I do like the direction you went for handing the Adrigami ship. Although I love kagamis new style you gave her I feel like the whole point of her “uniform” was to show that she was still heavily appealing to her mothers precise perception of her. Just like how Adrian dresses neat because of his father and his influence in fashion. Maybe kagamis new style could be something that slowly shifts throughout the story and is her little way of rebeling against her mother in secret (since she’s blind and can’t see)

I actually really liked the uniform because it was a nice homage to anime(mahou shoujo anime in particular), because ladybug is a total ripoff from "Tokyo mew mew" and all of the precure series put together. But since Callie's version is not a total ripoff, I guess your version of incorporating the uniform and style change is really cool!
Yeah, her mom controls her with everything she does.. kagami doesn't do a single thing or have a single hobby her mom doesn't want.
If anything id expect kagami to have more traditional and more conservative clothing styles since her mother probably picks out and dresses her with the clothes she (her mother) likes. kagami has a very controlling parent like adrian, thats why they bonded so much
in a better written plot kagami can start out wearing the uniform, and then transition into/sneak out and wear an outfit that is actually fitting to her

I haven't actually watched the video yet, but I was immediately interested in the blue design because a) It would contrast with Marinette's red colour scheme and b) Draws a closer connection to water and weather elements than red; I highly doubt any dragon with weather powers were depicted as red
edit: OH Also also, that would make it a literal representation of her and Marinette's red oni, blue oni dynamic
And Dragon Bug being red would fit with her being a dragon of fortune related with the sun (ladybug's influence) and it would fit even more as a fusion
In Chinese mythology the opposite of the dragon is the phoenix, and I think the peacock has strong symbology to suggest that there's a nod there to the two being opposites. I think that they should have rolled with the four guardian beasts more rather than less.

17:21 it was a draw, and yes, Marinette gave Adrien the win, but the point was that Kagami was taught not to accept defeat and that led to her akumatization, but at the end of the episode Adrien talks to her about it and his kindness was one of the things that makes Kagami start to like him. Trying to show that you can lose and that it might not be so bad seems like a good concept to me.
That sounds about right. Plus, let’s be honest, Adrien did the exact same thing in Copycat because of his petty jealous, so I actually see that situation as karma for Adrien’s own actions.
I think there was a comment awhile back from an avid fencer who watches MLB. They said that it was Adrien's win in that duel with Kagami. I don't remember the exact details since I don't understand the sport all that well, but it sounded legit.

Marinette never takes responsibility for anything it feels like. The show wants her to be quirky and relatable while also being the pinnacle of goodness, but instead of finding a good balance of these two, like in Spiderman, they keep doing both independently from each other, leading to this really contradictory protagonist (someone kids should really not be looking up to😬)
The show did Kagami dirty, honestly. I still don't know why most fans still villanise her, as if she was super mean to Marinette or smth, just because she's interested in the boy that Mari likes. Marinette and Kagami are a great(but missed) opportunity to show that romantic rivalry doesn't necessarily ruin a close friendship between two people. And would be a good lesson too.
You actually swapped Kagami's and Ryuko's concept appearance, Kagami's outfit is symmetrical and more restrained, while Ryuko's costume is asymmetrical and "imperfect", Kagami has always been required to be perfect, but her costume as Ryuko is her thing and to suit her vision and not someone else's vision of what she should be, and this is what the asymmetry of her suit represents, it's not "perfect" but it's still beautiful!
Wow, unless the show blatantly rips your story off (which Astruc is too narcissistic to do) this is guaranteed to be the best way to end the story. So much better than the actual plot, I got chills when I realized where it was going!

I liked Kagami from the beginning, I already knew that the relationship between her and Adrien would not end well so there was no point in feeling any negative emotions, the fact that I liked Adrinete didn't mean that I had to hate Kagami and Luka because they were "geting in the way" of Adrien and Marinete(as if they don't already have problems because of themselfs 😗), and I didn't mind Kagami's colder attitude because it wouldn't be funny if all the characters were the same, and in the moments where she had a hard time socializing she was relatable to me, everyone has been through a situation where you wanted or had to interact with another person but it was difficult.

Honestly, Kagami's name is the weebiest shit I've ever scene. It calls back to little baby me with a character named Yuki Hoshi (Snow Star, for those wondering). Kagami means "mirror" and Tsurugi means "sword". For a girl descended from Samurai to be named "Mirror Sword"... Uh-huh... They couldn't even put any effort in to making her name sound less like a pre-teen's "original character"? Come on, now. lmfao

OMG!!! yess! finally someone understands that it feels like Marinette is only after Adrien for his outer personality (being Adrien) and how terrible that is! if she really wanted to know the true him she wouldn’t be fawning over the perfection his father has molded him into. Kagami would make a way better candidate for Adrien because she understands his struggle, not just going after him because she’s an obsessive stalker like Marinette. I’m genuinely so happy in this version he didn’t end up with Marinette. In the show, it just would seem like a terrible relationship, and that’s proved by that one episode where Adrien finds out Marinette is Ladybug. It seemed like he only went after her because she is Ladybug, not for Marinette. And vice-versa for Marinette! Thank you soo much Calimara! Been here since day one and i’m so happy with the ending! 💕

The interesting part of Japanese dragons is that they are based of Chinese ones. Japan has even adapted some particular dragons from China. Azure dragon being one of them.

So in the end, Adrian basically pulled a True Reset? With the destruction of the Miraculous, it will be like the Universe resetting after Father Pucci gets killed by Emporio. Things go on as normal, just without the Miraculous' influence this time. Marinette will still figure out that she doesn't really like Adrian, and will help Kagami get with him (Not that she needs to, as you said.). Chloe would get all the development she got as Queen Bee, just without the Miraculous' influence. Everything.
I like that. I can live with that, if that's what happens.

The street fashion look would work only when Kagami is no longer emotionally under the control of her mother. It wouldn't work for her now since her look literally contradicts her AS A PERSON.
As much as I love her civilian design and find it beautiful and perfectly matching her personality, her mother brought her up to be a perfect soldier, so it makes sense that the outfit she wears and her hair is dull and lacking personality. I think it would be good if maybe she doesn't start dressing like this until later in the show. But that's just my opinion.

Hey Calli, I wanted to let you know that it's normal to dislike old art. You're improving. That's part of growth. All you need to be satisfied with is your art of today. You're incredible and we love you.
The danger of making a character who is the love rival in a story where the couple are already in love because of "fate" is that you might get tired of knowing that they will end up together anyway, even if there is conflict you know that the main couple is kind of forced to stay together while the rivals can fall in love with the protagonists for other reasons. Obviously this is not mandatory, but it's kind of sad to see a story where the main couple just like each other and continue to like even in impossible situations where the rival would actually be the best matches for them, like, I literally saw an anime of a protagonist who broke up with his girlfriend, got a new love and ended up leaving her to go back to dating his first love even though he stayed away from her and theoretically forgotten her, and yet he just sees her again and come back to like her at the same instant. That was tough, the new girlfriend didn't deserve it 😔
I haven't watched season 5, but I was surprised when I heard that Kagami was being canon shipped with Felix.
Kagami was instantly my favorite character the second I met her, I'm so happy to see her done right 🤩 she's beautiful and even more of a badass than in the actual show. And it might take a while but I think I wanna try and make an animatic for Kagami and Adrien's chat cause it was just so sweet 🥰 You did an amazing job as always, Callimara!
I actually liked the idea of kagami preferring street fashion. I think it would be intreating if maybe her mother doesn't approve of her clothing choices, and that could creat intresting interactions between them.
I don’t usually leave comments so I know this is very late and it probably won’t make its way to Cali, but either way, I just had to say: Oh. My. God.
As someone who unfortunately had an obsession with Miraculous at one point, I have to say that your version of the story compelled me more in a few hours than the real show did in YEARS of lazy storytelling and baiting the fandom. The story was cohesive, dynamic, and ultimately way more satisfying that Miraculous ever was. I’m in awe of how talented and creative you are, both in an artistic and story-telling perspective. I’m so glad that you’re taking the time to complete the story despite being busy with Wildward (which also has me hooked) because now I’m invested and I might die if I don’t get a resolution. So, even though I’m sure you already have an idea of how you’d like the story to end, here are some suggestions:
1. Adrigami and Lukanette as endgame 10000%. The amount of chemistry the characters had, especially in your rewrite, had me giggling and kicking my feet hearing you describe their interactions. Their personalities compliment each other perfectly and getting to see them develop as characters would be super satisfying (plus I live for the fluff)
2. Platonic Adrinette/Ladynoir. Marinette and Adrien most likely became friends first since she had a “crush” on him and I think it would be super cute to see them become best friends in their civilian forms. For example, Adrien would learn about Marinette’s talent in designing and offer to model some of her designs for their own private fashion shoot like he did in the episode Reflekdoll. As for Ladybug and Cat Noir, I’d like to think they’d vent to each other about their civilian problems while on patrol (vaguely of course, as to not risk their identities) and either give advice or just hear each other out. I also think it would be cute if Cat Noir still called Ladybug “Bugaboo” as a nickname because he knew that it annoyed her, but she eventually grew fond of it. Maybe after the show’s revolution, Adrien would call Marinette “Bugaboo” as a little homage to their bond.
3. Potential Gabriel redemption arc. Whether or not you’re thinking of having Gabriel go to jail or not face any consequences with the law, it would be nice to see him learning how to HEALTHILY deal with his grief over Emilie instead of being a hermit in his own home. I think it would be interesting to see Gabriel and Adrien have another family dinner, but Adrien is way more open with his true personality as the dinner continues and it makes Gabriel realize how little he actually knows his son. Natalie would definitely be a huge part of his redemption, helping him reconnect with Adrien after the events of the show. Maybe even subtly tease a potential romance between Gabriel and Natalie, but don’t confirm anything to keep us on our toes and let us draw our own conclusions.
4. Redesign Nino!! While I don’t think he was a big enough character to have any actual effect on the plot (unlike in the show where he messed it up for everybody), he’s still Adrien’s best friend and Alya’s boyfriend, so I think he’s worthy of a redesign. I’d love to see him keep a mostly canon personality (maybe less annoying) while this Adrien is much more socially awkward so Nino can help him get up to speed with teen culture and learn how to socialize with kids their age. And maybe Adrien could help Nino do homework or study with him, seeing as I always headcannoned Nino as someone who struggles in school. I mean, the man has headphones on him at all times, his ass is NOT listening.
If I come up with anything else, I’ll edit the comment, but that’s all I got as of right now. Keep up the amazing work, Cali!!

Omg I can’t wait for the next episode! I got chills at hearing Chat Noir’s wish. This might be an actual way to close up the series while dealing with the little ones who want to have actual miraculous powers. Also- if you want other redesign but not story resign characters, I’d recommend Harry Potter. The uniforms can be a bit plain and I’d like to see what creative liberties you’d take. Maybe a black Hermione? Who knows!

I love Kagami’s and Ryuko’s redesign! The rewrite for her was really great and I enjoyed how you did the rewrite of the Miraculous, it was such an interesting and amazing way to end things especially with Adrien’s wish! I can’t wait to see how that goes.

I agree with other commenters that the point of the uniform was to show how under her mother's control she was, but considering that she's the more assertive how of her and Adrien, it does make sense that she would have a more personalized outfit that him. And your civilian redesign looks so good!
Also, Adrien's wish... it's better than anything I could come up with. It garantees that nothing was done in vain since it doesn't require time travel so it's a super satisfying way to end the storyline.

Amazing! TBH, I loved the lighter blue color scheme. I’m my head cannon bunnix has more white and black since fluff is also a white haire, and the miraculous is based off of the March Haire (the rabbit from Alice in wonderland) I would do white much like you did with your design for Nightingale in your story, WILDWARD. The suit would be similar to a mech armor since Alix is obsessed with technology and history. But that’s just my opinion.
I had a discarded Fanfic idea regarding Kagami and her family.
Master Fus Guardians and the Tsurugi family have been in a conflict, regarding who protects the miraculous box. For the longest time the Guardians were the protectors, but then the Temple got destroyed and Master Fu fled and wasn't found. Then Kagamis mother finds out he's hiding in Paris and tries to get the Miraculous Box back.
It would be more interesting if it wasn't just Master Fu and Hawkmoth fighting over it.
Later on Ladybug becomes the Miraculous Guardian for a short time, but then SHE gets into trouble with Kagami, who is ordered by her mother to retrieve the box. Ikari Gozen happens and Kagami gets the Dragon Miraculous. Marinette and Kagami become friends and Mari decides to give Kagami the Miraculous Box.
TLDR: Kagami becomes the guardian of the miraculous, because Marinette already has so much stuff.

I get it, adrienette endgame but they completely changed kagami for the breakup and gave the audience a reason to hate her. Why was she bothered by adrien's pose/goofiness? They had fun before!! Why was she pushing herself on adrien? Yes she's straightforward but she didn't kissed him forcefully or whatever. It was so weird. But the worst chloe, she became "because I'm mean" nothing else🤦🏼♀️

I honestly I imagine Kagami with a more conservative outfit, bc her mom would tell her to not waste her time and stupid stuff like fashion, art, self expression, etc. So that outfit that you gave her I would Imagine it’s something that Marinette made for her by thrifting and creating that Kagami. I love the new Ryuko style, but I think she looked better with that same hair style longer and puffier. I would also change her hair to be white hair to show how opposite they are.

In one episode, I remember Kagami sketching Adrien, and when she told him to pose, showing his true nature, he posed goofy, like a cat. He said it was his trueself but she told him it was just him playing around. The Adrien she fell in love with, was actually Felix. But its just my opinion.
I respect your opinion. Adrigami is thankfully onward in season 5 a healthy friendship. And Feligami is really interesting. What's sad is a lot of people have been ignoring it.

i’d argue that’s just writers changing the characteristics on their whim, by that logic marinette is a terrible fit as she can’t stand chat noir and obsesses over adriens persona. the whole show is shitty writing where writers contradict themselves every single time
@@theaizere Of course, I agree. I stopped watching this show a long time ago because of the way it is written. The one thing I wanted to point out who Adrien's true self is is Chat Noir. Personally, I think that if someone really fell in love with Chat Noir, it would mean that they love the real Adrien. I also agreed that Feligami was an interesting ship simply because I didn't expect it. Also, when I wrote this comment, I didn't mean to say that Adrienette is a good ship, because it certainly isn't.

When it comes to hating your own art, I think every artist goes through that at some points! Essentially, your taste is better than your current skill right now. This feeling will probably continue for a little while until your skill catches up, and then you'll start loving your art again. I went through the exact same thing a couple months ago, but now I'm really proud of my recent works! The point is, I think your work is great but I totally understand the struggle haha

Master Fu said in canon that everything what you wished for must be balanced by something else. Like when Max's robot wanted became a human, someone would've to lost theirs humanity. So! When Adrien wished for destruction of all Miraculous something else must've been created to replace them. Perhaps Aegis... Like, isn't it poetic?

your art is looking so much better! i love how the shading turned out! a tip i have is to duplicate the line art later and blur it then clip it too the flat colors. afterwards color it to any color you want! it looks amazing!

I like the idea of them having a potential enemy-to-lover/Batman-Catwoman relationship, they attempted to do that in the show, but it was rushed.
I really love this rewrite and redesign for Kagami. She is also one of my favorite characters from Miraculous and her social awkwardness and bold and blunt nature was what made me interested in her character.
It makes a lot of sense that she and Adrien are a good fit for each other, and I enjoyed that you had Marinette realize that she’s happy being friends with Adrien and helping Kagami and Adrien be together.
I’m also wondering what will happen to the Kwamis since Adrien’s wish is to destroy the Miraculous and what the consequences will be. I’m excited to see the epilogue!

Keep experimenting! For me, it's one of the best ways to really improve. Trying new brushes, and techniques really yields some neat results, even if they aren't permeant. Also, I'm really liking this redesign!

I adore this design. It's wonderful. Personally I'm still fond of the adrienette endgame because I know it can be handled much better then the show's done. But I do like the direction you went for handing the Adrigami ship. It's cute, however in a way it also feels too easy because of course they'd understand each other but that also doesn't need to equate to romantic partners. But none the less I enjoyed what you created. I love Kagami's hair, despite the short, in your redesign IT LOOKS SO FLUFFYYYY
