One thing I love about your doll redesigns is that they really are just redesigns. A lot of the redesigns I look at are people being harsh or incredibly critical of canon designs and going into it with the mindset that they’re “fixing” the designs, but you’re always going into it with a lot of love, and your designs are what you would do if you were designing them or what you like! I really, really love that

@@12flashlights78 they don’t require their therapists (actually called counselors bc of legal reasons) to have any actual license, and they also had a major class action lawsuit them a few years ago bc the government organization FTC found out they were taking the medical information/emails from people using the service and selling them to data-scraping companies. it’s really disappointing that youtubers are still taking money from betterhelp bc it means they either 1. don’t do the bare minimum research into the companies that sponsor them (info about betterhelp’s many scandals is extremely easy to google) or 2. they simply don’t care about lying to their audience. like i said before, it’s really easy to find, if you google “betterhelp scandal” one of the first links is to the FTC article about it
I love that you included Frankie’s prosthetic leg. I remember seeing so many people complaining about Frankie having one since they’re frankstein’s monster but I think it’s such a unique feature. I’d love to see you tackle Cleo or Ghoulia when you return to this series.
Also love that midway through making the doll you decided to get a tattoo. That’s a slay.
tbh it makes perfect sense for Frankie to have one BECAUSE their frankinsteins monster, it can go into several story reasons like the limb couldve been made because there was no other leg when Frankie was being made, I love that they have a prosthetic now and is so nice to be included!-

Fr, plus the argument that they're a frankenstein monster doesn't make any sense, monsters are imaginary, they can look however tf you want them to. What if the creator accidentally got two of the same leg or something, my dumbass would pull that sht.
There are a lot of reason why frankie could need a prosthetic. Maybe they lost their leg or got stolen and ended up needing a prosthetic one. Maybe they were created as a child and grew up through monster magic and that let just didn't grow up like the rest, needing to be cut and used a prosthetic instead. Maybe frankie's body was made through donations and they couldn't get both legs. Its just magic stuff.

girly I love you and your work so I'm saying this with love, BetterHelp is largely a scam, and there are countless horror stories of their mistreatment of patients and their gross negligence.
I love the casual getting a tattoo in the middle of the doll making because you loved the design!! It honestly makes Frankie so much more special because you have a connection to them more than just creating them!

That wasn't a pride pin that was a non-binary pin was it not? I just asking cuz I have quite a few transgender friend who are being hurt by the political activist play me to be transgender non-binary. If you do not suffer from gender dysphoric disorder you are not transgender. And before you call this hate I'm doing this because I hear from the community I don't just jump on a bandwagon and love a whole group of people into one category. It's hurting so many people and it's tearing that Community part. So no it's not Pride. I'm heterosexual it's a very small part of who I am it's not the four front of my personality. All this political activism is driving the lbgt community apart and the acceptance level is at an all-time low. All these people who fought all their Lies when you weren't even a speck in your daddy's I went through hell to get to where they are and now it's being torn apart so no I don't have hate I'm I have tremendous sadness for Sunday called non-binary which is not a real thing. If you could explain how it's a scientific real thing how you can be neither female normal without calling me names or transphobic and have a open discussion then I will be happy listen but I don't think you'll be able to. It's not the community's fight it's the left they built up the community and now that it's strong they're tearing it apart and you guys are letting them. Well I will stand by my friend who truly have been diagnosed with gender dysphoric disorder. Which makes it impossible for you to live in a body you don't identify with. So if you believe that you are a woman you would not be able to wear a beard because it would trigger your dysphoria. I have dysphoria but it comes from 80hd severe generalized anxiety disorder and major depressive disorder. I've been to the hospital to get EKGs by ambulance more times than I can count. If people don't start learning and just decide they're transgender because oh maybe they're not girly or they're not masculine enough is only serving to erase gay people and women because you don't see it happening to men. And believe me look into Buck Angel, Arielle scarcella, Marcus Dib, Curly Boy Chuck and Brad Palumbo. If you can't listen to this somebody else's opinion without calling me names and there's only one place that hate is coming from. It's not for me❤ I've known transgender people since I was 7 years old I'm 58. Non-binary was never a thing ever and Frankie is a doll made for children Mattel giving her a sexual identity is indoctrination. And they don't really advertise it so maybe people should get out there and let Mattel know just how they feel about it. Think I'll be talkin to a few friends of mine. @@Niikolaypersonally I loved the animation style of Gen 2 but I see why people didn’t like it, they should’ve just refreshed Gen 1 a little bit and then went on the Gen 3 after, skipping the sudden and jarring change in animation style and going back to that casually edgy kind of vibe and message of inclusivity that is essential to the franchise would’ve made everyone more happy I think haha, everyone just looked too similar in Gen 2, at least for my tastes 😭

just so u know there are a lot of issues with betterhelp, namely the lacking quality of their therapists resulting in a lot of people in a bad state not be treated with the kindness they need, and you should probably reconsider working with them in the future

Just gonna say, better help is known to be INCREDIBLY shady and even posts therapists on their site that DO NOT WORK WITH THEM!! AND DID NOT CONSENT FOR THEIR FACES AND NAMES TO BE UTILIZED.
They are widely believed to be a scam that does no proper vetting of their ‘therapists’
i feel like a thing you could do to make blushing easier on dolls with inhuman skin tones is to use colors that are darker and slightly hue shifted from the skin tone, so for green skin maybe a purple or blue-ish darker green blush, but thats just an idea. I love your frankie redesign and i think the sparkly shimmers on all of your dolls is iconic B)

I love love the doll but. Doing a sponsorship with betterhelp isn't the best choice...they've been in hot water for sharing clients' private info with 3rd parties, and have also received backlash for sketchy therapists.

Just wanted to let you know though, that betterhelp is worth taking a harder look at as a sponsor. Everyone I know who has used it has had really bad experiences and the screening process for "therapists" is sketchy at best. I thought you of all people would want to know if you were sponsoring a shady business, especially if they market helping people!!

I hate to be like this, but I hope you are aware of all the controversies BetterHelp has faced. I know you have to make profit somehow, but it's not a great sponsor to have honestly. It's not good for either the patient or the therapists. They even allegedly share data with Facebook, which is NOT okay for a "healthcare service". :-/

i’m in LOVE with their entire outfit, the boots, the skirt, the cardigan ahh! Even the tattoos are so adorable, this is by far my favorite redesign (i may be bias because they are my style 🤭💗)

the level of details you put into your designs is INSANE. all the tiny buckles, studs, clips, ZIPPERS, working shoelaces!!! ETC. also something Ive noticed with the last 2 redesigns, and this one again. To me these redesigns feel like a grownup version of the characters. where they're like, early-mid twenties and have really grown into their own style and confidence and personality. I also love that you have a "yes, and" approach. You don't rag on the original designs, you mention the parts you love and expand on those. It's so nice. It doesnt feel like you're 'fixing' or 'improving' the design so much as making it your own which is so nice and refreshing as I've seen the previous done quite often in the art community in general (even when its often looked down upon, its still done WAY too often imo)

Awww I love your redesign so much. It brings a bit of current fashion into the of design without loosing the charm of the original. And I love it so much. Monster Highs first appearances were such a banger, something I miss a little in the reboots. Maybe it is the nostalgia glasses speaking but how much of the character's personality each and ever outfit communicated was so cool. And it makes me so happy that you are giving them new modern fits that hold the same amount of detail and love as their ogs.
Edit: but I really love the diversity Generation three adds. We stan a non-binary Franky.

If/when you eventually do Ghoulia, a fun idea would be to make her eye bases have a faint yellow tint and more subtle shine, because the eyes yellow and dull after death and she's a zombie!

Besides that, every non-binary person has a past where they thought they were binary and used binary pronouns. Are you telling me that, if someone close to you came out of the closet as NB and asked you to use they/them pronouns, you'd say "nah, because you used to use these other ones"?

I really appreciate that you gendered them correctly, most people who redesign them ignore their newly canon identity and it's so deeply frustrating that their gender is one of the aspects of the new line that most people want to walk back.
Many people, including myself, prefer the OGs for various reason. My reasons are because they were the ones I grew up with, the og story is better, the styles are better, and the characters are 100% better in the og imo. I don't like the new one at all, I think it's dumb. So if I made art about MH, it'd be about the ogs that I played with as a child. Some ppl make art abt the ogs and some make art abt the new generation. No harm done
It's just up to one's personal preference, and that isn't a bad thing. :)

I love all of your redesigns so much!! It keeps the gothic and alternative aesthetics of g1 but with a perfect modern touch, it's kinda making me wish the g3 designs were like this lol

Ooo also ghoulia! wait is she a main ghoul? i thought the main ones were lala, clawdeen and frankie, then the full group was them + cleo, ghoulia, abbey and lagoona. I'd love to see more designs, like torelei, deuce, clawd, howleen, etc but absolutely understand that we probably won't get them bc it's so much work
