While re-watching one of the episodes of MLP FIM where Chrysalis created dark versions of them & it just hit me a Dark mane 6. Or maybe more improved Monster High Jacket, or Mini self as an Oc Monster High Drag Queen with gorgeous lightning jacket.

Lagoona, I feel like she had the most drastic change from blue skin and blonde hair to just pastel vibes. So, I want to see Hextian's redesign of her and also hear his thoughts on the new Lagoona because in my opinion, the other four are still in their original aesthetic realm, and the color palette, just not as freaky as Gen 1
The team really lost a shot of rep with Lagoona. It would have been so awesome for her to be Aboriginal or maybe mixed Latina and Aboriginal (indigenous Australian).

I really wish they’d kept the more realistic features of the dolls, stuff like ethnic or cultural backgrounds, such as Skelita’s style being heavily inspired by Mexican culture, with her background coming from Hexico. They also had Abby’s Himalayan inspired culture as well. Many other characters too with Clawdeen’s Brooklyn accent, Draculara’s Romanian-esc accent, Cleo’s Egyptian heritage, and so much more. Monster High was really known for having lots of diversity, and I’m so disappointed that they kinda just removed all of it.
Said it before and I'll say it again. You definitely deserve your own line of dolls or somebody needs to contract you to make the Monster High version of your dolls or designing for Bratz, Sailor Moon or maybe even if they decide to bring back Ever After High you could be part of that either way your dolls are always amazing. You're An Artistic Angel.
I know that Spectra has not appear in Gen 3 yet but I love her so much! She is so soft but at the same time so edgy, with the tulle and the chains. It is like a haunted ballerina to me!
They revealed how she looks like and she's atrocious compared to her g1 self... just like Nefera, Meowlady/Purrsephone and Toralei (pls the bullies look too nice now T.T)
I love the molds for G3 Frankie and Lagoona, especially Frankie’s prosthetic and them being non-binary, but I was disappointed in both dolls’ skin tones. I have been waiting for someone to repaint them, and you did an amazing job. I loved the three skin tones and extra stitching. The face looks amazing. I’d love to see you repaint Lagoona with a more aquatic colour palette.
Frankie is my favourite character in all generations and G3 is no exception. They are my favourite character and doll in the series and movie. I love how they have little to no common sense but is also extremely intelligent which kind of reminds me of myself lol.

if g3 frankie is one that was just born, this is them after they really find themselves~ we stan an nb queen, and the colours for the sewn together skin are so choice!! the drybrushing on the prosthetic was a really good choice too, its lovely to see the details pulled out, such an elevated version of their design :3c

@@kerokero9 they actually aren’t made of female or male scientists parts, they’re made of random human parts, I feel like them being made of female and male parts would be kind of corny especially if that’s why they’re saying Frankie is non binary, it gives of the gesture that non-binary people are male and female when it’s the complete opposite.
The excitement I had throughout the entire video just to see Frankie with Draculaura gave me a throwback to the SAME excitement I had every Bratz remake video just to see the dolls together 🥲💙 And the cycle continues 😆
OBSESSED with this Frankie but I’m especially in love with the decision to put the leather blazer under the top/corset combo, it’s giving binder under feminine clothing (one of my favorite gender presentations as a non-binary person) which is just awesome to see
lowkey I'd love to see an anatomically accurate version of all the monster high characters (like frankie's skin being rotted or something and with the sea monsters being very scaly and slimy). They turned out soo good though, i love what you did to the sections of different skin tone
I’m so thankful for all the changes made to Frankie for g3!! I’m autistic and non-binary, and feel so so represented by them, and even my friends have picked up on how much g3 Frankie is like me. They are my absolute favorite g3 character ever I really hope that kids like me can see themselves in Frankie in the way I never got when g1 was around :)
Although you gotta admit that for those who grew up with g1 (aka the og) like me, it is horrifying to see how much they changed the characters and even their personalities! Yes I have nothing against g3 Frankie being non-binary but to the extent of changing her personality, it is too much.

Btw frankie isn't the child of Frankenstein anymore, just a monster made by scientists. Mattel had issues with the copyright of Frankenstein, so that is also why the skin is more blue and there are no neck bolts

I miss G1 Frankie's green skin, it's one of my favorite colors and it screams Frankenstein, but I understand there were issues etc. Your idea to mix and match skin tones looks really good, the design is literal perfection, and they scream polished with a Gen Z fashion sense

@@HeXtian Hehehe thank you! I just really love new Frankie, they actually remind me a bit of Dawn of the Dance Frankie, which was one of the best Monster High dolls ever designed. Tho I agree that the neck bolts are missing and they'd look much cooler with them. I dunno, I feel like a lot of the harsh criticism towards G3 just comes from nostalgia to G1. Which is crazy to me, cause I was a die hard fan of Monster High ever since I was 7 years old and saw the first ever Monster High commercial on TV back in 2010, and I still absolutely love G3. I hope they arrive to Brazil soon and aren't too expensive lol 💝
I love how g1 didn't shy away from using black and dark colors, but g3 is just so pleasing to look at with their signature colors 🥰 it awokes the same happy receptors in my brain when I look at rainbow high dolls
I like the dark aspect of the gen 1 dolls more, but I can see why you and others like the bright colors. It's okay for you to like them in the gen 3 styles; it might not be some people's cup of tea. But I'm sure you are not alone in enjoying bright colors. I do in other fandoms, like how vibrantly bright and colorful outfits get like in Totally Spies. I liked the dark aspect of the dolls, and it was the hook for me cuz they stood out for it.

I love their prosthetic leg and I really think in the future more dolls with prosthetic parts should become the norm in doll lines. It's a neat little detail. Also I am not personally a fan of the G3 looks I think they are a bit too cartoonist to me but the repaint looked really good, I think the factory makeup is what I am not all that fond of.
Hex! I actually dig the colour story you have for this face mold. When you said you were giving her a mask like face you weren't kidding. The highlighter you gave in the eyes kinda connects to the other half of the face giving Frankie this second mask it's really cool, how you did that

Frankie looks Voltagious! And very unique from her other designs. As far as you mh series repaint goes, I feel like a gyaru tropical style would work well for Lagoona since she is latina and was originally a blonde with a barbie beach twist. It was even seen in the live action movie.
They're releasing "refresh versions of the G3 core dolls with more gothic/alternative looks (especially with the makeup). So far Clawdeen and Draculaura have come out and they look AMAZING. I can't wait to see Frankie (my fav).

I love g3 because of the difference in design especially with draculauras because she’s my favorite and seeing a doll that looks a little bit more similar to me is hella healing but they definitely seem to be younger dolls compared to the g1 dolls it’s so cool to me

I love the different color skin tones and while I don’t mind Frankie’s new outfit, it’s nice to see her in one that resembles her iconic G1 outfit. Another wonderful doll custom! Two other things: thank you for the tip about Rainbow High shoes fitting the new G3 doll feet and when you pointed out the shorter neck, it helped me realize that was the reason why G3’s Frankie looked so off to me. It was that combine with her new face sculpt and lack of neck bolts.
So I'm coming back to this video a year after watching Izzzyzzz's newest video on it cause she made some good points. I think embracing g3 more in the design and working with it instead of making what looks like a reinvented g1 doll could have been nice.
This is amazing!!! I love the hair so much!! The color palette is so much better, and they look much more punk/grunge than preppy now which is a better vibe honestly.

Honestly before even watching the video I already loved it. I wasn't a big fan of the changes to the doll but you made it so much better my child hoods saved ✨
I have over 2 dozen medical conditions and I am going to have a double ankle amputation in a few months. I am also working on hand sewing an entire wardrobe for myself. Since the start of 2022 I have been studying at uni, my degree is on pause until after the initial recovery. I am also a big gamer and I love building dollhouses. To able to do all of these things while being bedridden. I have an amazing tray table with a draw and a light. I can put my laptop and gaming mouse on it and game for hours. I can also study using the laptop or on paper. I can sit with or without the tray table. While I’m crafting I watch tv and movies on my iPad while I sit and hand sew my clothes. Maybe because of your trouble sleeping you should create a system so you can work on your projects at night while waiting for sleep. That’s what I do when I’m having trouble sleeping. Hope this helps!

OBSESSED with this Frankie but I’m especially in love with the decision to put the leather blazer under the top/corset combo, it’s giving binder under feminine clothing (one of my favorite gender presentations as a non-binary person) which is just awesome to see

I’m so thankful for all the changes made to Frankie for g3!! I’m autistic and non-binary, and feel so so represented by them, and even my friends have picked up on how much g3 Frankie is like me. They are my absolute favorite g3 character ever
I really hope that kids like me can see themselves in Frankie in the way I never got when g1 was around :)
Although you gotta admit that for those who grew up with g1 (aka the og) like me, it is horrifying to see how much they changed the characters and even their personalities! Yes I have nothing against g3 Frankie being non-binary but to the extent of changing her personality, it is too much.

If monster high and you did a collab based off ur designs I would cry my eyes out and BEG for these dolls because these designs are SOO unique and honestly stunning. You know exactly what vibes these dolls give off and everything and I LOVE IT

I miss G1 Frankie's green skin, it's one of my favorite colors and it screams Frankenstein, but I understand there were issues etc. Your idea to mix and match skin tones looks really good, the design is literal perfection, and they scream polished with a Gen Z fashion sense

I dunno, I feel like a lot of the harsh criticism towards G3 just comes from nostalgia to G1. Which is crazy to me, cause I was a die hard fan of Monster High ever since I was 7 years old and saw the first ever Monster High commercial on TV back in 2010, and I still absolutely love G3. I hope they arrive to Brazil soon and aren't too expensive lol 💝
I love how g1 didn't shy away from using black and dark colors, but g3 is just so pleasing to look at with their signature colors 🥰 it awokes the same happy receptors in my brain when I look at rainbow high dolls
I like the dark aspect of the gen 1 dolls more, but I can see why you and others like the bright colors.
It's okay for you to like them in the gen 3 styles; it might not be some people's cup of tea. But I'm sure you are not alone in enjoying bright colors. I do in other fandoms, like how vibrantly bright and colorful outfits get like in Totally Spies. I liked the dark aspect of the dolls, and it was the hook for me cuz they stood out for it.

Love all the dolls you breathe life into. Funny enough I was watching this while doing my night routine and was using my battery powered PMD device when the ad popped up. Inception hahaha. I want this Frankie in the monster high movies 💙💚
I love their prosthetic leg and I really think in the future more dolls with prosthetic parts should become the norm in doll lines. It's a neat little detail. Also I am not personally a fan of the G3 looks I think they are a bit too cartoonist to me but the repaint looked really good, I think the factory makeup is what I am not all that fond of.
Hex! I actually dig the colour story you have for this face mold. When you said you were giving her a mask like face you weren't kidding. The highlighter you gave in the eyes kinda connects to the other half of the face giving Frankie this second mask it's really cool, how you did that

Love love LOVE the different skin tone patches. My fave part of the g3 Frankie is definitely their prosthetic but I agree, the writing on it is meh. The staples in the skirt made me laugh but it's too perfect

Frankie looks Voltagious! And very unique from her other designs. As far as you mh series repaint goes, I feel like a gyaru tropical style would work well for Lagoona since she is latina and was originally a blonde with a barbie beach twist. It was even seen in the live action movie.
They're releasing "refresh versions of the G3 core dolls with more gothic/alternative looks (especially with the makeup). So far Clawdeen and Draculaura have come out and they look AMAZING. I can't wait to see Frankie (my fav).

I love g3 because of the difference in design especially with draculauras because she’s my favorite and seeing a doll that looks a little bit more similar to me is hella healing but they definitely seem to be younger dolls compared to the g1 dolls it’s so cool to me

I love the different color skin tones and while I don’t mind Frankie’s new outfit, it’s nice to see her in one that resembles her iconic G1 outfit. Another wonderful doll custom!
Two other things: thank you for the tip about Rainbow High shoes fitting the new G3 doll feet and when you pointed out the shorter neck, it helped me realize that was the reason why G3’s Frankie looked so off to me. It was that combine with her new face sculpt and lack of neck bolts.
So I'm coming back to this video a year after watching Izzzyzzz's newest video on it cause she made some good points. I think embracing g3 more in the design and working with it instead of making what looks like a reinvented g1 doll could have been nice.

I have over 2 dozen medical conditions and I am going to have a double ankle amputation in a few months. I am also working on hand sewing an entire wardrobe for myself. Since the start of 2022 I have been studying at uni, my degree is on pause until after the initial recovery. I am also a big gamer and I love building dollhouses. To able to do all of these things while being bedridden. I have an amazing tray table with a draw and a light. I can put my laptop and gaming mouse on it and game for hours. I can also study using the laptop or on paper. I can sit with or without the tray table. While I’m crafting I watch tv and movies on my iPad while I sit and hand sew my clothes. Maybe because of your trouble sleeping you should create a system so you can work on your projects at night while waiting for sleep. That’s what I do when I’m having trouble sleeping. Hope this helps!
