    This is intriguing. I've used alpha-stim type devices extensively and like you said the biggest drawback with those is that it tends to put your whole brain in an alpha state, which can make you feel sluggish or tired at times. In the past I've drank coffee after an alpha-stim session to counter this, but since I have anxiety issues this is not always the best pairing. My question is does the NeoRythm seem as effective as the CES device in relaxing you?

  • @jeremyrfk

    I went through TMS therapy for anxiety a few years back and found it beneficial. One thing I remember is wearing a hair cap and they had to find a very specific part of the brain that made my finger move turned on. Then they did a very specific measurement from that spot to direct the pulses at. It all seemed very precise and important. How does this device know exactly where to direct the pulses?

    Hi, Dr. Cody - Thanks so much for the great detailed video explaining the mechanism of action and potential benefits of the NeoRhythm (and other similar) devices. It sounds amazing! I have tried to find the answer to this question on the NeoRhythm site as well as Google, to no avail. Do you know if the NeoRhythm and other similar magnetic devices is safe to use if you've had a history of stroke? I'm 67 years old, and I had 2 mild TIA strokes in 2005, but nothing since then. As a result, I always approach anything that works with or could affect the brain or heart with extreme caution, even if it is super-exciting. :)

    • @TheStarr760
      @TheStarr760 3 года назад +1

      Karen Schouest The device states that it can lower the heart rate. I have tried several of these devices and there were only warnings for implanted devices and epilepsy. However, the company has a chat on their site through FB messenger. I sent them a message last night and received an answer this morning. If you send them a message, through their FB chat, I am sure someone on staff will answer your message. In addition, they are giving a 5% discount and a free sleep ebook if you subscribe. Good luck! BTW, I have tried several of these devices and brainwave entrainment over the years.

      From the manual: 4. Who CAN and CAN’T Use NeoRhythm?
      CAN: NeoRhythm has been developed for the general public to safely and effectively induce many different brainwave
      states. The expected key benefit of using NeoRhythm is better living. When brainwave entrainment is regularly and
      properly applied, the expected results are improved sleep quality, a facilitated reach of specific awake states, as well as
      improved emotional and logical intelligence.
      CAN’T: The use of a pulsed electromagnetic field device is contraindicated in people with pacemakers or other
      electronic implants, non-MRI-safe IUDs, cochlear implants, or mechanical heart valves because the magnetic
      field can shut the device off or otherwise interfere with its functioning. You also shouldn’t use NeoRhythm if you have
      epilepsy, Graves’ disease, or in the case of active bleeding.
      Pulsed electromagnetic field is also contraindicated in organ transplant patients due to a possible risk of affecting the
      immune suppression/rejection process. There is a chance that electromagnetic fields may stimulate or activate a more
      aggressive rejection process by stimulating the immune system.
      The safety of pulsed electromagnetic fields has not been established in pregnancy, although there is no evidence of
      harm. We advise against using NeoRhythm during pregnancy.

    I tested the Neorythm for about 50 days and returned it. (60 day money back). Because I was not sure if it has any effect for me. It looked like a gadget with placebo effect only. But after I have seen some of your videos.... I have chronic depression, anxiety and "psychosomatic disorders" for many years. So maybe it would take months until it works for me?
    I found out that bilanguarl beats definitily have an effect after 20minutes. I use SYNCTUATION. You can combine it with Neorythm but if using earphones for the bilangural effect, you can hear the clicking of the Neo in the magnets of the earphone.
    I guess Neorythm may work best when combining it.... relaxing with music.... Meditation or doing brain jogging Apps for concentration.

    Cody Thank you for this video. I'm very interested to see where this product goes. I see that in the app there is a pain program. There would have to be a delta stimulation for that right? Thats around 2htz...

    • @markokadunc7946

      As already said by Prof. Jerman, the basis for choosing frequencies was scientific expertise that did a meta-analysis of scientific literature in bioelectromagnetics concerning the desired effects of the NeoRhythm device. Based on a broad literature review that yielded three more or less suitable articles, the NeoRhythm development scientists decided for the stimulation regime where the leading frequency was relatively high (around 300 Hz) and the supportive just above 12Hz. Therefore the answer is negative, the frequencies used do not correspond to the delta brainwave band, but correspond to already successfully tested and validated ones.

    I am trying to use the NeoRythm to help with intense neuropatic wide spread and back pain as well as clonus induced by adhesive arachnoiditis.
    I have gotten some great results with sleep and it seams to actually work nice on clonus and random cramps. But... Im not having much luck on the pain department that actually triggers and increases clonus in my experience. Would you be so kind to give me a suggestion of each position and head band electromagnetic parameters could eventually give me better results. Also... Would you think vagus stimulation could help in those symptoms and each device would you recomend. Thanks so much for your attention. Best regards Patrícia Lourens MD

    Octaves, he's trying to say octaves. That's why your supposed to use a high band high energy pulse... just like deep ground mapping with radar. For example, 20hz 40 hz and 80hz, since it's very unlikely your brain will go up to 80hz it will simply resonate at 40hz. This is why humans like music, our brains try to match the frequency.

    My mother had a coworker who tried tms, she went from depressed and bipolar to happy and energetic. However, my mother said she was almost too hyper and never before bugged her so much at work and hated when my mom wouldn't talk to her. She was very distracted at work and ended up quitting. I just wonder what kind of long term personality changes might occur due to using tms. Is this device a tms device?

    I have depression, anxiety, and on the ACE scale I have a score of 6. I've been reading the book childhood disrupted. They discuss the benefits of Mediation in healing inflammation in the brain. My problem is that I meditated at night and wear soft headphones so I don't wake my husband with the guided meditation. And this makes it difficult to get a good night's sleep. I'm wondering if this product could possibly help with some off the brain healing so to speak? Or maybe the Muse would be better? I'm on the fence and sceptical but I really need help.

      @@CodyRallMD Yes... there was ample warning included with the Sakti lite about overstimulating the right amygdala. Which, when overly activated, produced some strange and often fearsome sensations. Such as being watched by an overpowering entity. Hence the name 'God Helmet'. I think NeoRhythm solved this problem by reducing the overall strength of the fields required by resorting to harmonic distribution and mixing within the naturally occurring brainwaves themselves. This is what mostly peaked my interest in it.

  • @andrewgordon5451
    @andrewgordon5451 2 года назад +5

    Dr. Rall, the NeoRhythm appears to have a max 25 gauss (2.5 mT) strength. I've tried it for several months for focus/concentration but without any noticeable differences. Dr. Pawluk seems to think that higher gauss strengths are needed to be effective. Would you consider looking into and reviewing a couple of other wearables for PEMF brain entrainment, such as the "FlexPulse" which claims to max out at 200 gauss, and the "Micro-Pulse ICES", which looks similar to PEMF but uses a different MoA? Regarding the FluxWear Shift that you tested, do you know what the gauss is, and also, will it include programs to boost focus/concentration. i.e. SMR, low-beta, gamma. Thanks!

    I think that my main concern would be with just how clinical TMS has had negative effects on people even with professionals configuring it. Now I know that this device uses a lower magnetic pulse but it still operates off of a similar concept. I just wonder if there's any dangers to prolonged usage because TMS isn't intended to be used every day for years. I also think about how with clinical TMS they use EEG's and try to target specific areas and with this device it's all pre set. It's promising that it's showing effectiveness but it feels like they may have rushed it to the market before filling in some questions.

      Much lower, so much lower than TMS or rTMS. it is more akin to the same level of micro Tesla/Gauss as used in PEMF machines, which are suitable for daily use, actually less than those in most cases. It’s a good point though, with the rTMS I know you are meant to have four hours between treatments, and no more than two a day in a course of treatment. Incredible technology though! Wish you well.
