I highly recommend that you subscribe to Cody’s channel. If you value your brain performance, Cody always strives for an objective perspective. In addition, he has an MD so he brings a standard medical perspective with these emerging modalities. Thank you Cody. Would love if you could post the research article links too in show notes. Looking forward to your next video.
Thanks for including a light sound machine. I use the Kasina from Mindplace and build my own brainwave scripts using the reaper DAW. I would like to monitor my brainwaves to really tune what I'm creating. Do you think the Mendi would be best to accomplish this?
Thanks for watching! To answer your question: No I think you want to use one of the EEG devices for that. There are a lot more EEG changes related to light stimulation than fNIRS, especially in the occipital cortex. Neurosity would work best with its placement over the occipital lobe. But you could also track changes with Muse. I demonstrate all that in this video: ruclips.net/video/zvXBkzPOuTY/видео.htmlsi=yhO-AYnk87ySAVd2
Hi Dr. - 2 separate questions. How do you think 40hz binaural beats compares to the 40hz light? I have pretty severe treatment resistant ptsd. I did talk therapy, emdr, and 2 years of clinical neurofeedback with little improvement. Would you have any suggestions on what to try next? Thanks
@@CodyRallMD Awesome! I use it inside my clinic as a pre and post treatment with neurofeedback, HEG and neurocoaching. Be sure to check out the one that has audiovisual entrainment, and CES. :)
@@CodyRallMD Hard to say... For instance, I'm not buying a new phone because the new phones are not that much better than my current phone. At least these guys are making progress.
Yes! Did you watch the video and still not convinced? Most of the devices have a lot of research work posted on their websites. The data collection is well validated. The reduction in various symptoms has been shown in smaller studies but continued work needs to be done!

@@CodyRallMD Thank you for getting back to me. If I was more concerned with the sounds, then I would probably want to use muse?

I'm not sure if there is any research on binaural beats for that. Did you try light stimulation yet?
@@CodyRallMD I haven't. But I have listened to 40hz quite a bit. Thanks. Btw - maybe a good show would be about binaural beats?
Hey doc, anything that tracks & records seizure activity?
Well this was a very interesting video! Just introduced the tech fiend in me to a whole new world of exploration!
Very informative video. Thank you for your time.
Thanks for watching Ibrahim!
Doc, can you tell us which is the best for folks healing CPTSD?
Probably a meditation based practice like with the Muse
Awesome cody.
You should review mind alive
I will take a look at it Miss Amber!

Do the Neurable's offer tracking of particular brainwaves data? Or are they only for measuring unspecified flow states, ie. Beta or Alpha brainwaves?
So it only took the NeoRhythm 2 years to fall off the list?
Are you happy or sad about that?

Do they even work ?
we need a double blind study
