    I have had my Neorhythm for about 3 years now. It literally saved my life. I hope I never have to give it up. It has some wearable problems but usually I just place it on my chest or hang it around my neck. I have had zero connection issues ever. I love being able to fall asleep when I want to. Calm down when I’m anxious. I feel like everyone needs to just know their own brain and then look for the right tools to help. I enjoy your research.

    I have the NeoRhythm headband and pad and I got them for less than one of the hats.
    I have CPTSD and I find the headband super helpful when I find myself emotionally dysregulated. When I get stressed I’ll pop it on and I do derive benefit from it.
    The sleep setting does help me feel sleepy. I have a sleep tracking app and it doesn’t seem to help with my quality of sleep.
    In my opinion sitting on a pad, or against it on the back of a chair, is more discreet than wearing a hat. NeoRhythm wins out with the product line as well since it has 3 products (not including the pet line) versus the one.

    Something’s VERY wrong here, I’m afraid. At 5:20 our friend Cody says he’d feel comfortable wearing the Shift hat in an “office setting”! At that point he lost all credibility for me, and I realised that his entire narrative in this video, starting with his casting doubt upon the survival of NeoRhythm as a business model, is crafted to promote the Shift at the expense of NeoRhythm. NeoRhythm is an excellent product, I love mine, and maybe Shift is too. But if you’re interested in making a choice I’d suggest finding a more objective comparison than this. Anyone who suggests the Shift could be worn in any office setting I’ve ever experienced is not someone I’d take advice from on anything.

      I felt the same. Also, unless I was dressed a certain way, I wouldn't wear that hat in public. I find it unattractive. At least with NeoRhythm I could wear a variety of different hats over it to cover it. I'm specifically thinking of a bucket hat, because those are my jam. And in an office setting, I'd rather have the cool, futuristic look than a baseball hat look. Also, I'm older and not as tech savvy as many, and I'm sure I could set it up the NeoRhythm. The fact that there is a discount code that is his name for the hat tells me all I need to know, which is a shame because I've enjoyed his other videos.

    That hat looks ridiculous! No woman /man or teen…is going to want to wear that. Not to mention if it gets wet, bent, accidentally thrown in the washer … no way. i purchased the NeoRhythm and so far it seems great. Although, the head band design is uncomfortable and the app is somewhat not user friendly. It is a fantastic device for the price! They are updating the app currently. But overall feel good with my purchase. It’s only been 2 weeks.
    Also… I had a long explanation of why this hat is not advisable and why NeoRhythm is superior… I didn’t edit it but most of my reply has been watered down to the basics …. So to sum it up… this hat is not a good option dt just using Alpha waves… who wants the same frequency all over the brain? That’s ridiculous…NeoRhythm is superior as it offers many frequency’s. 4 different areas that can be programmed. Most of all … this costume hat ..it is no comparison to the NeoRhythm… not even a little.

    Hi Dr. Cody, at 9:55 you mention, "I'll definitely leave those links to those papers below in the description below if you're curious." I am curious to read thos papers you flashed up in this video, but there don't appaer to be links to any of them in the show notes. Also, I am curious if you purchased your own Shift hat, or if the company provided one for you to use. Obviously you are an affiliate, which is made clear enough, but I am just a bit concerned that I really can't seem to find any reviews of this product from other RUclipsrs. Also, noting the comments from other viewers who seem to serioisly dislike the style of the hat used in your video, it might be worth a small update from you (or at least info bubble in your video) mentioning that Fluxwear has completely revamped the style of their hat. I can't even find one for sale in their website that looks like yours anymore. Was yours a prototype or just an earlier production version? Their new hat(s) are a decidedly more common looking baseball hat style, which IMO was a smart change to make on their part.

    According to the Siddhars, an enlightened individual has merged the three states of mind into 1. The waking, sleeping, and dreaming states. An enlightened person does not sleep or ever lose consciousness. This is why there are practices like dream yoga where monks and nuns in the Himalayas will build a wood box around them and sit inside each night and meditate rather than sleep. The box would be there so they cannot lay down and fall asleep.

    I think this video is highly polarized. Did the company of the hat pay you for this bad feedback on the Neorythm? It's easy to use, there's nothing difficult especially if you wanna use it for one program only as the hat works. It's a bit shame to post a video like this, IMHO. There's no EU law that will disrupt the Neorythm. 🤦

    All the NeoRhythm information is now showing that it goes around the neck, knee, etc.. rather than around the head! I'm guessing that is the workaround for the new law?
    But Is it possible if NeoRhytm goes out of business, that the device/app will stop working, and render the hardware useless? Or that they update the app/device so that it CAN'T be used on the head anymore?
    If the Fluxwear's $600 Shift ever comes down to the same price as the NeoRhythm I'll get that!

  • @terencewoods9632
    @terencewoods9632 Год назад

    Hi Dr Rall. I have just one comment and one question. So the Neorythm is able to stimulate different parts on the brain by simply sliding it on your head, and can even be applied to your neck and limbs. You cant do that with a hat. My questions is that although you say that Neorythm needs to observe European rules, does that hat actually observe all European guidelines in the same way?

  • @Zr0din

    We really have to work on getting ALL the form factors from all the companies into something like a hipster beenie or a baseball cap (but not for $500 unless you tell me this will actually help me read more and make me smarter). I know the reason for the weird (Sci-Fi look) thing is so when a normal person uses it and is seen- someone will ask what's that thing on your head? It helps with marketing. But what will help sales more is my ability to use this wherever I go and my improved performance will be aparent to other people.
    Also, Cody... did you just try to click bait me with that title? Come ON! You are a Scientist!
    RETRACTION: so I went back and saw that I have missed s bunch of videos because RUclips didn't show them to me. So you win on the click-bait. Begrudgingly...

  • @honeybadgeresse
    @honeybadgeresse 11 месяцев назад +1

    Sorry, but this video sounds very much like a hidden advertisment for the Shift hat. Judging by your explanation it provides onyl alpha waves, while the Neorhythm supports different waveforms. So your claims that it could help with pain, when put on for example; a knee are pure guessing. Also the studies you cited seem to have been performed with the use of the Neorhythm. Since there is not one single scientific study supporting the efficacy of the shift hat on their website! All you can find, is that Nadia, one of the founders, is happy with it. This is certainly not enough evidence given the price-point. It should also be insufficient for you as a researcher and MD.
    By the way, with all your effort you put into emphasizing that the Neorhythm is difficult to order or return because the company is set in Europe, you forgot to mention that as a European, you can't even order the Shift hat!! European legislation on consumer protection is much more strict than that from the US, there is no need to scare people.

    Okay.. so, the placement should be on the sides of the skull above the ears. That's where our sound and frequency detection cortexes are.. like sound cards. Downloadable programs like in neorhythm are hackable. An analog system would be easy to make and can't be hacked, but would be susceptible to resonances from power lines (60 hz, a gamma tone) so an outer faraday cage material should be used to protect it.. honestly hats are too small to emit effective fields.. and your heart has waaay higher field strengths than your brain, so a vest might actually be the way to go, for a primary coil, than you can just put two isolated coils in the hat that resonate with the primary. This wouldn't only be very effective, it would also block unwanted frequencies like that pesky 60hz from power lines (they would be the faraday cage). Notice, more homicides happen near power lines. If you want to be the brain wave perry mason, you may want to investigate missing 411 cases (either parallel or perpendicular to power lines) and standing waves. If you'd ask me I'd say they prolly crawled into the 10 ft corrugated pipes. This is why they're always found in creeks. You're going down a really scary path. Always forge the shield before you forge the sword.
