Frank Sinatra's music will always be timeless.

I agree with you, and I'm not trying to be snarky, but that's kind of the meaning of the word "timeless".
Well, his voice at least. He only wrote one song himself during his life. Every other song was written by someone else

That takes $$. Today’s listener has been gaslit into thinking today’s music is “music”. Cheaply written, played, recorded and produced is what we have today. If “we” stop buying the crap that’s produced today perhaps we’ll see real music being appreciated again.
@@SciFiGirl007 only few people cannot change anything.. Everyone out there is consuming low quality of music, songs that don't even contains more than 10 words, songs with crap lyrics, title. Is that real music? Music is being destroyed...
@@LeoraSaharia no
I love when musicians are so confident in themselves and their accompaniment that they can just change things like words or timing on the fly as if that was the way the song was originally written. A sign of true talent
they play jazz and jazz is based on improvisation so it's normal if he can improvise, it's his job :)

Have chosen this song for my 93 year old Dad's funeral next week...something to lift our spirits as we say goodbye to Dad. He loved Frank ❤
Sorry for your loss. 93 is a good, ripe old age. My father will be 106 this August. We're blessed to have them for so long. 🙏🏻
I was visiting my dad in a nursing home when a performer came to sing to the residents. I sat with my dad through the performance and saw him moved by the performance of this song. He had recently lost his wife and my mother and the look of peace and contentment on his face sits with me still. That performer I recognized as an ex police officer I knew from my somewhat troubled youth. He was officer friendly to the t. I recently learned he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and has little time left. I learned the night before a get together to honor him was scheduled, I was able to go see him and his family. Thank you Roger Weis!!!
My deepest condolences.

ruclips.net/video/k5SloMLSGxE/видео.html
Who else is in your top 5? Elvis?
I agree. Sometime if you can catch one, watch how Sinatra uses the microphone to create his sound. Early on, he figured out that he could control his tones by where he held the microphone. Some people described it as dancing with the mic, but it really wasn't. He could control pitch and length of note, tonal fade and sharpness by how he sang into the mic. He really is one of the great voices, but that was because of more than his vocal cords.
My top 5 english singera are marty robbins, elvis presley, roger whitaker, frank sinatra, paul anka

During the turn of the millennium ( 1999-2000) there were a lot of medias that were doing the top 100 on many subjects of the past 100 years.. That’s the first thing I noticed while watching this video. It looks like he was expecting that swing to be a lot stronger than it was so he stomped his foot.
Also during the bridge you can hear him say “jump, jump, jump!” as if to tell the band to match his energy. Then @ 1:40 I think he gets surprised with that drum roll and swing.
Yes, but it’s Count Basie led by Quincy ‘Q’ Jones, so they knew their stuff!!
