I'm in my 50s and this song has been powerful my entire life . I'm blessed & grateful for all I have. This song makes me feel wonderful. I too did it my way .
Played at my fathers funeral. Means so much to us as a family as I’m sure it does to many. A legend that not many my age (25) will understand. Much respect and love to everyone listening and reading this.
For reasons like this, I am glad the internet exists. It’s a beautiful thing when one can connect and read comments with others over such masterpieces like this

"My Way" is a profound reflection on the human journey, particularly the masculine one, which carries a silent and often unspoken hardness. The line "What has he got, if not himself" is not just a celebration of self-reliance but an acceptance of the solitude that often comes with the courage to live on one's own terms. Over time, you realize this song isn’t about glory or perfection-it’s about resilience and authenticity, even in the face of regrets and tough choices. A masterpiece that only deepens with maturity.
Do you know what I just realized remember at my brother's house at Oro valley place in Tucson Arizona AZ feel like in line since side effects from Oro valley magic feeling pulling me back
My mom raised us 4 children by herself in the 90s and worked, we all grew up to be university educated debt free straight laced adults. I sent this song to her today for her bday 🎂 ❤. I also sent it to my pops...it also applies to him.
Before my Dad died, we sang this together. It was our theme song as we grew older. He passed at 94-years-young, I was 64. I also played "Fantasy" by Earth, Wind and Fire for him. The music lives as he lives in my heart.
Glad to see your last moments with your father were spent doing something you both enjoyed. May your father rest in paradise and your heart rejoice with his when it comes time.
@Paula, Now you made me think about my grandpa. This is what happened to me when my grandpa died, some hours later, after my grandpa died. Never will forget this. Went to the bar that night to have a few drinks, and to think about the funeral arrangements and my grandpa while growing up, working in the garden with him, watching Tv like the old Bonnie and Clyde and gangster movie's with him, and with my siblings, etc...And that night they had karaoke at the bar and that night someone sang Grandpa from the Judd's.
Im 19, struggling with depression and anxiety. But this song gives me the strength to ignore all of that and look at how beautiful life is and the true gift of friends and family. God bless you Mr Sinatra and rest in peace legend.
If you persist in your thinking of today, you have no future which is what Frank is singing of. You are the pilot of your life. Please rethink everything each morning and thank God you are still here to experience it. Your future is bright. You haven't even started yet. I hope it's just hormones that are interfering in your life. I'm old and have been through more than you can imagine in my lifetime. Because you recognize your struggles means you already have the answers. I wish you the best in your lifetime!!!!!
My sister purchased tickets for this show for my beloved Mom and Dad. They took the train from upstate ny to the city. This song had my dad just about bawling. It was near the end of his life, and I still thank my sister Kate today for doing this for my dad. This guy was his absolute favorite.

Carol, this song will rock forever, because it's not just a song. They are souls and feelings that turn into songs. And souls and feelings are eternal. they pass from soul to soul, from heart to heart. It is what I wish you.
I’m 18 and listening going to play this on my graduation next month P.S God has been so goooood❤never thought I’d finish school due to circumstances and depression but He was there !!!!! Jesus is alive and wonderful

Jesus Christ will come back soon and we don't have much time to turn to Him. He died for all of our sins so that we can be forgiven. All we have to do is accept Him into our lives and trust Him wholeheartedly. Nobody but Jesus can save your soul. This might be your sign so turn to Him today. He loves you😊
I was lucky enough to be there that night, with my ex- wife Evelyn. Her father Big Jim, had the juice to get us great seats, center stage. What a night.
My father said to me when I was a young, when I laughed at his musical taste, he smiled and said some day you will appreciate this song... I get it now... Fantastic song 👌💚🇮🇪
Same, 44 here and still listening to Ol’ Blue Eyes. This song always reminds me of my Da, he’s 71 years young and still bellowing this one out, the one line that always gets me and connects me and the old man is “And to think I did all that, and I may say, not in a shy way”. Love ya Da, we did it our way.
Grandfather used to listen to this song months before he passed away, dad showed me this song a few months ago and he's 70. This song for some reason kind of allows me to understand their lives and I plan to show this to my son the day I realize the same thing my father and grandfather have... Rip to a Vietnam War hero and POW hero, my grandfather.
I know what you mean. In my life I follow no one. But did it my way. Now am 67.retire .with my peace of mind. Wife in heaven, sons are married. Grandkids growing up.am no dean Martin but now I have a shot or two. Free at last free at last.
This is one of my favorite songs ever. Just today my dad heard it on tv and he said it was best song ever. He 82 and im not gunna lie he teared up. Probably reminded him of my uncle Dallas. His older brother. Same blue eyes and same vibe.
While I will agree, this is the greatest song ever written. Yet, it wasn't till Elvis sang it. Elvis made this song become alive. There's a reason Elvis is called The King.
First of all, between him and Elvis, two of my all time favorite singers. I love a lot of music, but when those two start to sing any song, I recognize the voices and know it is timeless classics. Second part, I used to DJ in my twenties and during any event, this was the most highly requested song. Whether it was during cocktail hour or during dancing, but in one event, the guy who's birthday it was asked for it 7 times, I kid you not and he said that it described his life perfectly. Amazing and classic sound never fades away. Love it now and always have.

As I listen to this song many memories come to my mind. Gives strenght, rises my spirit and makes me feel proud of myself as I hope for a better life for me & my family. Thank You Mr. Frank Sinatra.
almost 50 years later and audiences on talent shows erupt into screaming and applause as soon as the piano starts playing this song. Like the people dont even need to start singing. Thats how bloody iconic this song is. It really is an anthem. an anthem for people everywhere who succeeded and did it their way.
My dad always tells me this was one of my grandpa’s favorite songs, he’d listen and sing along to it, and I often like to think this was his song, he lived, and he did it his way, always brings me to tears. I wish I could’ve known my grandpa better, he passed away when I was so young. But I know I’ll see him again someday.
When he says the line, “I ate it up and spit it out” He sings it with a power coming from experience, and it is completely and utterly authentic One of the greatest musicians of all time
My father and I danced to this at my wedding. It was his favorite song. This song described him to a "T", and now the he had passed, I listen to this and think of my daddy, and how he "DID IT HIS WAY".😭👏💙
My father used to sing this song when we played sports & he was about to win. "And now the end is near & you face the final curtain" It made me laugh every single time. Love you Dad & miss you so much. ❤️ The song & performer fit like a glove. Perfection.
My uncle Michael died a few weeks ago. He had this as the exit song for his funeral. I carried him on my shoulder to this song. One of my favorite people. I suspect it will hurt forever, but it's a beautiful song and was perfect for him. RIP Mick. I'll see you again someday.
I was today years old - 45 years old and this is the FIRST TIME I’VE SEEN THIS?! Oh well, guess I will just watch it for the rest of my life. Wow, he blew the doors off hey? Gave it his all telling the story of his life, every work spoken and sung perfectly. Won’t be another Frank.
@@FlyingOstridge It’s all subjective, of course. Some say Frank, some say Sam Cook, others say Steve Perry, many say Freddy Mercury, etc. Now for me, it’s a man who sang songs in every genre of music you can possibly name, and had all the talent in the world: The one and only Bobby Darin.
Thanks man, I actually got out of the whole I only listen to rap and this music has opened me up. And I also love 70s old school rock like Lynyrd Skynyrd
This song will be played at my funeral. I havent done much in my life but my wife and kids will appreciate this. Frank and this song just get me every time😢
What a grand setting without the modern laser lights and over-the-top sound systems to distract the audience from true performance. This man has a great voice, a very engaging presence, and he delivers the "national anthem" with great ease. Bravo.
Legendary. This weekend marks 3 years since my grandfather passed away. He was a big Frank fan. I grew up listening to songs like this in the car as often as I did my mom and dad's favorite songs. So, I shout this one out to William E. Gibson 1939-2019. I miss ya old man, you certainly lived a life that was full and did it your way...Love you pop-pop!
This is a song that will never get old and holds a different meaning for everyone...I used to love this song as a pick me up, now it serves as a reminder for my Papa as this is the song we played for him as he was getting cremated...the soul is gone, but NEVER forgotten
Before my Dad died, we sang this together. Tears, sad and happy, in our eyes. Our theme song as we grew older. He was 94 years young and I was 64. I also played "Fantasy" by Earth, Wind and Fire for him. The music lives, as he lives in my heart.
my grandmother passed, and while she did, she listened to this on her way out. this was and always will be her favorite. and now I can't help but cry and smile, thinking of her. I want her to be proud of who I am, and who I will become. I'm not one to believe in heaven, but she did. and she sure as hell deserved to get there. I hope it's real. only for her.
God pray your grandmother it was also my grandfathers favourite song, that passed away three years ago. I hope you and your family are fine and all can say your grandmother did it her way :)
lost my grandma 2 months ago, she showed me so much music from her time and her stories, how i miss that woman, she raised me, still won’t ever believe she’s gone, she told me this song was my song, i won’t ever stop missing her, keep ur head up brutha ❤️
Grew up listening to Frank Sinatra. My father was an older gentleman so I was immersed into this element of brilliance at a young age. I lost my father and brother a few years back. This song saved my life.
God Bless Them both and You. I have lost my brother , and all my Parent's. My Mom, StepDad, and Real Dad. but my Stepdad was my real Dad. he was the one there everyday, who Loved us and fed us and took care of us.
I played this song at my Dads funeral. It’s like it was written for him. My dad seen Frank Sinatra in concert every time he came to Illinois and even flew to Vegas to see him. Wish I could have gotten a autograph picture so I could’ve hung it on the wall for him
Quando ascolto Frank scorre un brivido sulla mia schiena. Grande, oggi è il tuo compleanno. Da siciliano come te, ti ringrazio per le emozioni che ci hai regalato.
His singing style is so unbelievably fluid. He doesn't even take a deep breath before going for a high note. Don't know how he does it, it's like dueting with yourself. Legend!
@Wayne. Supposedly, Frank Sinatra learned breath control from Tommy Dorsey who would, while playing the trombone, take small breaths at the side of his mouth which made it appear that Dorsey was able to play the trombone without having to take deep breaths.
This never fails to bring tears to my eyes, such a powerful and moving song. It reminds me of those special family members we lost, the paths we’ve all taken and the things we’ve all done, and it’s so apt. Thank you, Frank.
I saw Frank at the Albert Hall in London in the 80s. I was not a fan but as I had to to chauffeur my mum and wife I decided to go too. It was the greatest performance I've seen. He could have walked on to the stage, said I don't fancy this I'm going home and it would still have brought the house down. I've seen the Beatles, Stones, Springsteen all brilliant but not in the same universe.
As a 18 year old guy I'm proud of you man. Listening Frank's timeless music in this age is actually so cool. Don't care others stupid opinions. Just move on and have a good day!
@@TonyMontana-ro5tg I'm proud of you as well for being 18 and discovering the old music, that's amazing. Your music tastes will continue to expand because of this as I recommend listening to The Carpenters as well.
@@TonyMontana-ro5tg You're welcome, I'm glad you're discovering old music and seeing how great it is, when you do have a chance to get The Carpenters, get back to me here on it.
I lost my grandfather this morning. He was like a father to me. I love every minute with hime and wished that i could've been with him on his last moments. now listening to his favorite song just breaks me apart. I miss him so much
I’m very sorry for your loss. I hope that you can find comfort in this song as I do. My Aay being your grandfather’s favorite song, tells me he was a great man.
I remember when I was 8 years old my grandfather sang this in a bar on his and my grandmothers wedding anniversary… it stuck with me and then the last time I heard this song was at his funeral about ten years later. Thinking of you grandpa 🙏🏼❤️
My father's friend sang my way as i said goodbye to my father on his favorite song in march. He was a free spirit, believing in love and fun. I miss you Papino so much.. i truly hope that you are proud of us where you are, we love you from the bottom of our hearts. Be kinds to others and tell them how much you love them. Peace
Now I’m only 17 but my mother played this over and over along with Alan Jackson underneath my crib when I was a baby. It was the only way I fell asleep. Everytime she would try to leave I would stir and move around. My mother is still alive but my father died a few week before my birth. I live with my mom and my stepdad who I consider my father. I’m gonna go hug my mom now. Thank you for reading my story.
My father's favorite music. He showed me Frank Sinatra and other great musicians... But this one was our favorite, now he is resting in peace 😢 I miss him so much! Thank you dad for everything.
Being French, the fact that My Way is actually a cover of a French song is so incredible. He kept all the emotions and grandiosity of the original tho. I only learned recently that Frank Sinitra remade it, beautiful.
My grandad and I was remolding his home. We were laying some tile down listening to some music. This song came on and about a minute later, my grandpa burst in tears! I had no idea what had happen, before I knew it I was crying dad what’s wrong?! This song means something to him I’ll never know.. but I love that man so much for putting me on to great music. Love you pops!
My dad passed this morning and with great sadness I listen to Sinatra. If I would have gotten married before you left Dad I Would have dance this song with you. Thank you for your kindness and humbled heart you left me the best of you. It’s your kindness the taught me to always forgive no matter how painful it’s.
I'm 19 years old, and I still like really love old-school songs like this. Some of my friends say my music taste is too old, but I can't deny that old-school songs just have this timeless vibe, They're like unforgettable i think
Yeah, like, I, like, understand you, like, you know? Jokes aside, good music can come from any place, and any time period. I have listened to songs 3, 30 and 300 years old, from all over the world. From indie artists, big bands, and movie composers, the only thing that matters is if you enjoy it or not!
Sad knowing that a majority of the people you see in this clip are probably no longer with us. They were very fortunate to have experienced such an amazing entertainer!
Uh what? It's 1974, anybody thirty years old there is now 76. You acting like everybody there dead when most people live to almost 90. I'd say a good majority of the younger audience there is perfectly fine.
Xander White I can’t remember that well as it was such a long time ago. The first word that jumped into my head was - slightly disappointing. But in saying that it was Frank on stage, I probably built the moment up too much. How could he ever be disappointing
This song seems to describe the lives of many people. Clearly everyone has found something of their own in it. Thanks to Frank for such a beautiful song!
@@bagas4466 what does English have to do with it? This masterpiece is translated into all the languages of the world ..It is the meaning of the song that is important not the language in which it is sung ....
This style of music is literally pretty popular under young people. I can't explain it because it's kinda far away from that time, it makes it sorta cool.
My dad used to play this masterpiece to me when I was about ten years old....at the time I was to young to understand....my lovely dad died at 60 this track is like a time machine I can see my dad and that feeling is beautiful......I am now 57....love you dad .....siggy xxx
My great grandfather, granddaddy John Seydel, after 101 years is on his deathbed tonight. He’s lived the hell out of each of those years and has been such a role model for all my family members. Tonight we shared this song together, and he looked so peaceful and content in his sleep. This song is so perfect for him, his life, and his legacy. Proud to be his great grandson and carry on his name. Love you forever Grandaddy.
and his singing is not what it once was. but does anyone care about that..? NO. omg - the part he sings ever so softly... you could have heard a pin drop.
Hi Bo, 're you ok? I'm brazilian and i'm studying english, but I found it hard to understand what Sinatra said at the beginning. Is he kidding about the importance of this song?
If you read the authorized Sinatra biography: He was sick of the song at this point but had to perform it due to the importance to the audience. This concert was one of his come-backs, possibly the greatest. So yes, he was making fun of the importance others attached to the song. BTW, he never repeated the comment as he was vilified in the press for comparing the song to our national anthem. Goes to show the intelligence of entertainment reporters at the time. No wonder Frank had a problem restraining himself from punching them... All that said, it's my third favorite Sinatra song.
@@vaniaraigosas4946 I suggest you do some research before making this statement. Paul Anka wrote the English version to the melody of the French song. In essence, there are four writers to the same song. All depends on who you speak to. If you are seeking the facts. Ask the writers. You are correct on both counts. Both had a part in writing. As for Elvis being the best. He isn't. He just put his spin on it, and it sold. A different style. Elvis was a showman. Sinatra was a crooner. Different styles. Both are just as famous. Depending on the market place a the time, and who is behind the publicity. (Experience talking here)....
In my father’s will he wanted this song to play at the end of his funeral, it was my father’s favourite song. So we played it and not a dry eye. Hope you are still doing it your way up there! Miss you Dad.x RIP

From indie artists, big bands, and movie composers, the only thing that matters is if you enjoy it or not!
did you hear the frank sinatra ai fnaf song? its good
It's called having good taste dude. You have access to all the classics that have been recorded. Access them!
Ты молодец -- смотришь в корень и видишь суть бессмертной музыки .
Same bro, turning 20 this year but there are good songs from every era
I'm 11 and I truly love all of his songs ❤❤❤

Sad knowing that a majority of the people you see in this clip are probably no longer with us. They were very fortunate to have experienced such an amazing entertainer!
Ay Bee for real I’m pretty young and I wish I was able to see him live
Uh what? It's 1974, anybody thirty years old there is now 76. You acting like everybody there dead when most people live to almost 90. I'd say a good majority of the younger audience there is perfectly fine.
I saw him and I’m in my mid 50s
He played with Liza and Sammy

Xander White I can’t remember that well as it was such a long time ago. The first word that jumped into my head was - slightly disappointing. But in saying that it was Frank on stage, I probably built the moment up too much. How could he ever be disappointing
Being 27 and listening to his timeless classics. Frank Sinatra will never fade away.

I want to expres my gratitude for this wonderful song by Frank Sinatra. "My Way".
One of the most beautiful song of all the time.

This song seems to describe the lives of many people. Clearly everyone has found something of their own in it. Thanks to Frank for such a beautiful song!
Yeah it's actually a cover of a french song by Claude François but whatever
And no one living for Jesus Christ doing everything their own way will send you to hell and then the lake of fire on judgement day.

From the 1967 original french song : "Comme d'habitude" by Claude François. English lyrics by Paul Anka 😉🇫🇷👍 Thank you for Claude 🙏
if you listen to this masterpiece and you do not have freezing cold inside your body, it means that you have understood NOTHING about life
True
No. There are people that cant understand English.

This style of music is literally pretty popular under young people. I can't explain it because it's kinda far away from that time, it makes it sorta cool.
As a 27 year old man this song speaks to me more than anything of my current generation

I'm sorry about your granddad
I think your great granddaddy looked so peaceful and content, because you were with him to share his song
May God bless him and your family.
Sending heartfelt thoughts your way in light and love
God bless your family and may he be with you in your darkest times
Just one man with a microphone. No dancers jumping around, no fireworks, no flashing lights.

and his singing is not what it once was.
but does anyone care about that..?
NO.
omg - the part he sings ever so softly...

Hi Bo, 're you ok? I'm brazilian and i'm studying english, but I found it hard to understand what Sinatra said at the beginning. Is he kidding about the importance of this song?
Elena Russia.Merci!!!!!!
Французский язык тяжело переводить.А так интересно,что люди пишут
The genius of Paul Anka wrote this song and Frank made it immortal.
👍👍👍👍true
He didn’t write this song, it was a French artist: Claude François - “comment d’habitude” in 1967
@@vaniaraigosas4946 I suggest you do some research before making this statement.
Pure excellence as a performer. It just doesn't get any better than this.
In my father’s will he wanted this song to play at the end of his funeral, it was my father’s favourite song.
So we played it and not a dry eye. Hope you are still doing it your way up there! Miss you Dad.x RIP
Sorry for your loss but this is the best song . I miss my dad so much too.
For my Dad too. RIP age 84 11 November 2012. His most favorite song. He too did it his way.,. From the Philippines bravo Sinatra🤗🤗🤗😍😍😍
