My daughter, a special needs child, was a huge huge fan of Mr. Rieu. His music helped her through so many difficult times in her life, he was her hero. In the months preceding her passing she played this song over and over again and it was so fitting because she truly lived her life her way, courageous, soft and kind, high spirited whatever hardship she had to go through, loving and lovable and truly in the moment enjoying the things and people she loved. I have learned so much from her and I miss her so now she’s not with us anymore. Missing her is my love that continues after her death. And thank you mr. Rieu for your music.
Your music reaches my soul. Every time I hear this music I forget all my illness and you lift me up when you play your violin. That song my is my ultimate favorite. Thank you your love of music and bringing to everyone near and far

Wonderful Andre Rieu, the best Dutch violinist and probably in the world, paying tribute to my dear Frank Sinatra and his Sicilian ancestors who emigrated to the United States. Greetings from 🇨🇱 ❤
Just to reply to some comments about the origin of the song: “My way” is a remake of “Comme d’Habitude” (1968), a French song by French singer Claude François and French songwriter/composer Jacques Revaux. Later Lebanese-Canadian Paul Anka rewrote the song, and created the English version, “My Way” (1969). It was performed by Frank Sinatra. Both lyrics are quite different, as “Comme d’Habitude” is about how routine may kill love. Both performances are awesome. To tell the truth, I don’t care much about who came first. Just trying to give credit where credit is due. For me, both are bigger than life, universal, magical songs…and now with Rieu, their melody has reached the summum of perfection. ❤❤
@@XKazukiTVX For sure. I have absolutely no doubt about this. Keep in mind though that replying to comments, my point was about the origin of the song, not about who made it internationally famous, or who sang it the best. Cheers
I cry when i hear this song. My Father, when he was sick, he used to ask me to sing My Way, singing softly beside him, almost like whispering. Now he is peacefully with the God. I love you papa. You are My Hero. Till we meet again 💞

"My Way" is a song popularized in 1969 by Frank Sinatra. Its lyrics were written by Paul Anka and set to the music of the French song "Comme d'habitude" co-composed and co-written (with Jacques Revaux), and performed in 1967 by Claude François.

[Verse 1] And now, the end is near And so I face the final curtain My friend, I'll say it clear I'll state my case, of which I'm certain I've lived a life that's full I traveled each and every highway And more, much more than this I did it my way [Verse 2] Regrets, I've had a few But then again, too few to mention I did what I had to do And saw it through without exemption I planned each charted course Each careful step along the byway And more, much more than this I did it my way [Chorus] Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew When I bit off more than I could chew But through it all, when there was doubt I ate it up and spit it out I faced it all, and I stood tall And did it my way [Verse 3] I've loved, I've laughed and cried I've had my fill, my share of losing And now, as tears subside I find it all so amusing To think I did all that And may I say, not in a shy way Oh, no, oh, no, not me I did it my way [Chorus] For what is a man, what has he got? If not himself, then he has naught To say the things he truly feels And not the words of one who kneels The record shows I took the blows And did it my way

"Parting is all we know heaven, and all we need of hell." (Emily Dickinson). The antidote for grief is perhaps not to forget her, but to think of her often. A photo may help. My prayers in your efforts to mitigate your grief. A retired Catholic priest in Canada.
We all miss people my friend

Faszinierend 💖 Mir fehlen die Worte. Atemberaubend 💛💗❤️
Realmente estoy maravillado.
@@albertojoaquinjimenezherna4791 Si. Es posible que me falte mundo. Recorri 2 continentes ( Europa y África ) con la Cruz Roja. Pero tienes razón Alberto Jimenez. No es suficiente. Te envidio que hayas recorrido el mundo.
I’m 62 and this is the first time a piece off music made a tear in my eyes
To the last person I want this at my funeral
Me too!!!

"My Way" is a song popularized in 1969 by Frank Sinatra. Its lyrics were written by Paul Anka and set to the music of the French song "Comme d'habitude" co-composed and co-written (with Jacques Revaux), and performed in 1967 by Claude François.
Dominique, Paul Anka is a romanian guy! From my country, Romania!
All the time in my heart!magnifik my dear Maestro
PAUL ANKA IS FROM CANADA.
Buono
@@sergiuiosib5643 I believe Paul Anka is from Lebanon, like our Bishop Anthony Tonnos. The jet black hair, at least in youth, is the trademark of Lebanon! From Canada.

I cried so hard when I heard this. I never knew this song could sound even more beautiful.
When music possesses the power to express the heart's deeply-buried sorrows. To the sadness conquerors. Thanks, Andre.
I totally love Andre'. I cry right along with the audience. Wow, just to be able to sing with him. Wonderful
None of my family and friends can understand what I like about Andre Rieu and his orchestra. His music touches the heart and you can see how beautiful life can be.I love to see how people react to his music.I was in Erfurt for his concert this year and it was overwhelming. Thanks and keep up the good work!

Show! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
[Verse 1]
And now, the end is near
And so I face the final curtain
My friend, I'll say it clear
I'll state my case, of which I'm certain
I've lived a life that's full
I traveled each and every highway
And more, much more than this
I did it my way
[Verse 2]
Regrets, I've had a few
But then again, too few to mention
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption
I planned each charted course
Each careful step along the byway
And more, much more than this
I did it my way
[Chorus]
Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew
But through it all, when there was doubt
I ate it up and spit it out
I faced it all, and I stood tall
And did it my way
[Verse 3]
I've loved, I've laughed and cried
I've had my fill, my share of losing
And now, as tears subside
I find it all so amusing
To think I did all that
And may I say, not in a shy way
Oh, no, oh, no, not me
I did it my way
[Chorus]
For what is a man, what has he got?
If not himself, then he has naught
To say the things he truly feels
And not the words of one who kneels
The record shows I took the blows
And did it my way
❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Hugs and kisses to the gentleman tearing up.
Linda a tradução!!!!
Thank you, Mary, for the words to this special music 🎶.
Wow !!! She loved this song.. how great . Sounds like a wonderful daughter. I wanted a daughter all my life but that blessing passed me by. Andre Rieu is the greatest ! Love him.
Grandioso !!!! Bravo Maestro Rieu !!!!! Su interpretación Extraordinaria !!!! Mil gracias .
So beautiful.... I am not a big fan of classical music, but this brings back the tears in my eyes.
Martyn83r it's no classical music. Just because it's an orchestra it doesn't turn a pop song to classical music!
@@ephraimvenditti2950 The song itself is classic... The form of music playing an orchestra is classic.... I can say its classic in many ways, but I know what u mean... I know its modern at the same time.... Bit above all... Its so emotional, no matter how u call it.
