Thank goodness that, when so many were destroyed, this film was preserved. It is a precious gem.
2:13 OMG, the say she delivers "So tell me now and I won't ask again" coming out of the solo! Followed by the strings!! Just makes me melt every time I hear it!!
Don't you just LOVE the "Girl Groups" of the 60's!!!!!!!!!
Love em
i wish someone from the audience was still here and shared their experience listening to this in live
ah, this is such a classic and I never get tired of it!!!
A guy on his way to football practice. We had a black gathering, dancing room in a recreation center . Walking by, window open, heard the most beautiful song and I was trapped into girl songs. What an alto voice.
Black guys always to f. white girls and not the other way around
They were one of my dad’s favorite songs! Miss you Dad 🙏
Thank you. This is my all-time favorite song. I am almost 75 years old, but this song still gives me pleasure and sadness because of my first ever real love.
Sweet memories of innocent desire and doubt.
@@lorrainewyatt8354 good to hear
Still listening in 2024..love it from st lucia
I was a toddler when the girl groups were popular. Yet their music is the music of my life.
Hermosa melodia que nos trae nostalgia de juventud !!! saludos desde argentina !!!
One of my favorites song. i’m 77 and i’m so delighted whenever i hear this wonderful song..❤
Oh, my. They surely do justice to this fabulous song! I still recall it from my childhood. Brilliant!
I remember that song was popular in about 1961 when I was a junior in high school
This is still the best version, and many very good versions exist.
Quella di Emy Winehouse e stupenda.
These ladies are so awesome, love them ❤❤❤❤
Blijft altijd goed vroegere dagen herinneringen😍
I can't believe how WONDERFUL they are....😭😭😭
they sure were
i get emotional thinking that it's gone now
@@courregeaaron947So talented, and a Joy to listen too.
Thank you Carol King.
This song was on the oldies station a lot in the 70s.
.Shirley Owens is gorgeous ❤
Tonight you’re mine completely
You give your love so sweetly
Tonight the light of love is in your eyes 👀
But will you love me tomorrow?
Is this a lasting treasure
Or just a moments pleasure?
Can I believe the magic of your sighs?
Will you still love me tomorrow?
Tonight with words unspoken
You say that I’m the only one ☝️
But will my heart be broken
When the night (when the night)
Meets the morning (meets the morning) sun?
I’d like to know that your love 💗
Is love I can be sure of
So tell me now, & I won’t ask again
Will you still love me tomorrow?
So tell me now, and I won’t ask again
Will you still love me tomorrow?
Will you still love me tomorrow?
Will you still love me-
Mr. Bert, How sweet and tender were the melodies of the early 60's, my first years of life.
I Agree...👍
Why is everyone on here within the week? Did someone pass?
@@highlymedicated2438i was wondering the same thing
There are a lot of cover of this song and some singers were very talented. However, it seems that singing to the perfect pitch is not the only thing that make the song attractive. I cannot explain well but this version has its own attraction and hard to compete.
Hey it's real. It has its advantages. Everybody spends a big hunk of their lives doing things in which they have limited skill.

What a classic!
I am doing a playlist for our 1961 class reunion.. this is definitely No 1. Still as fresh as it was all those years ago. Also some great covers by Norah Jones and Amy Winehouse, and of course by Carol King herself. All on YT...
Album or demo?

The timeless song writing of Carole King and Gerry Goffin.
Amen to that.
Un bello tema que conosco gracias a mis padres que ahora tienen más de 80 años gracias 😊
⁸8⁸and and am very sorry about that pppppppppp⁰
Temon de la maravillosa década de los años 60s cuando la vida era muy diferente a lo que es hoy años gloriosos de muchas emociones que siempre estarán en mi mente y en mi corazón vivan los 60s
This is played daily in Pattaya Thailand. Open air bars in a resort city.

They were a class act! Beautiful & talented. In my opinion, so many female music artists today are just flat out trashy, unlike the ladies of this era. Sorry.
Lush!
Salama ini saya kira ini lagunya si lobo.
Ini toh penyanyi aslinya.!!
Mantap jiwa.
Siapa itu lobo
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Classico
That crowd are full of soulless people
The other video had millions of views and they deleted it
The song is so beautiful but I was wondering why the audience was behind them so I did some research and I found out a lot of places didn't allow black singers to face the audience😮 but despite of that the song was number one on the charts😊😊😊 and the lead singer has a beautiful voice😊
The video was shot in England and yes the singer Shirley Owens had a lovely voice and.was very pretty. as are all the Girls
@@user-sq4jz9up6g I can imagine they went to England 😊their song was number one on the charts that was the first for a black girl group at that time😊
what a shame..the loss is theirs
@@counterpoint9260 ✌💯 the Sherells werent sweating over it though...... that song was number one on the charts😊
@@a_rellw5971 of course..neither did the great Jazz artists..but its appalling that the 'world's greatest democracy' had such a situation until recently..and it still has racial tensions as 'black lives matter' shows...
Will you Maya Brady!!! & Naomi Osaka !!! 😂❤+

Where was this video taken? Was this part of a movie?
Looks to me like one of the old rock and roll shows like Bandstand or Lloyd Thaxton or maybe Hulabaloo. Maybe even Ed Sullivan or Where the Action Is. There were alot of variety shows back then. I really don't think it's from a movie, but I could be wrong.
@@Dave-lq2le Thank you for getting back to me. In looking at the background I notice there is a wall clock and a cinder block wall. There is also I sign which I cannot determine.
The audience seems to be all white. Sad reflection on the times. Many of the female attendees seem to be enjoying the song and are bobbing their heads in sync with the music.
A simply elegant performance.
Written by Carol King and Gerry Goffin.
This song was out before carol king
@@franciskueh4141... but written by Carole King and Gerry Goffin nevertheless.
In my opinion, Addie, a.k.a.Micki was the best looking.
Is anyone here from the filth movie?
Now look at the junk music we truly are dying as a nation
Oh that' includes the 50s and 60s
Music had nothing to do with racism it was great and part of our generation black or white
