This is a Disney Jr show made for preschoolers, I doubt they are gonna have Loden turn to dust anytime soon in the show but kids are gonna grow up and be traumatized to learn the fate of Loden in the comics and books.

I skipped out on the high republic books, but after hearing about that, I may have to check them out. Holy, that’s sounds like what a space Cartel would do to a victim
I mean it might be the high Republic but its still star wars... The overarching theme is basically how the Republic and jedi got to the point that made a sith lord able to take over possibil. And a lot of named characters die in the Prozess something missing from a lot of legends books because they deal with established characters they can't kill so it robs some of the suspense.

@@moneybaglifts1944 I would start with the three first adult novels "light of the jedi" "the rising storm" "the fallen star" if you like them you can dive a lot deaper with the other novels/comics. Light of the jedi does a lot of set up so it starts a little slow but for me personally the pay of is definitely worth it.
@@lucagerulat307they also pretty much connect all the comics in some way to the novels, even mentioning characters and giving them lines in the main books which is pretty cool.
I say it’s a good series, first book is a wee bit slow but introduces the characters and what they’re like for the most part and establishes the main villain and his faction, while the second and third books have the more juicy bits.
Finally the high republic is in a star wars project

Vernestra Rwoh would be a better guest appearance. As a teenage Jedi Knight (or about to become one depending on the timeline) she's be more relatable in a kids show. And it may draw some extra viewers in given her character will be appearing in The Acolyte. Plus as far as we know, she doesn't suffer a horrendous fate like Loden does.
Imagine if Anakin appeared at the end of the series......💀

The high republic is such an awesome era, the perfect bright between the events of the prequels and Kotor.
I really hope we get a bigger more mature version of the story to be shown like a clone wars esc or live action series following the main books and some comic stuff, would be a very nice thing to see and while we’re getting one of those I’d hope that it’s not too far away.

I imagine a kid growing with the show and loving the character, before finding out his fate. Don't know if it was the right call.
Considering the show is basically a toddler show, it will be like have a canon story about hello kitty being tortured or something like that.

clone wars was written for teenagers, this show is clearly aimed at toddlers and preschoolers.

It's explained in the books that intense pain and suffering dulls a Jedi's connection to the Force. So to help prevent Loden from escaping, in addition to binding him, they (the Nihil, space thugs) surround him with prisoners being tortured. For months. Yeah it's pretty messed up.
Honestly the high republic novels I have read so far have been generally pretty interesting and new feeling. Would love to see some coverage not on the kids show

lodan eventually becomes a victim of the great leveler which fucks with ones connection to the force. he dies via petrification and collapses into dust shortly after meeting bell again.

The Show Takes place in the High Republic Era, Specifically during the time of the Starlight Beacon Space station.
The Starlight Beacon was built in 232 BBY, and was Destroyed only 2 years later in 230 BBY. Kai, Lys, and Nubs will Witness the Destruction of the Starlight Beacon (2 years after its Construction and Dedication).
That is a surprisingly interesting character for disney to make. Glad to see that the novels are still holding up.
The High Republic novels are some of the best Star Wars books from both Legends and Canon
Oh cool, I didn't even know they were good! It really bugs me when people cite EU books and stuff against Canon films and Dave Filoni's shows and just say that this proves the EU is better but they ignore Canon books and comics.@@hupablom8851

I watch. It's cute but, until The Acolyte drops, this is the only non-book High Republic content we've got that's actually set IN the era.
That last episode with anakin will be insane.

the high republic books are not canon even if a character from one of the books appears on screen.lucasfilm doesn´t see there books as canon and everyone can see that the books are not canon it doesn´t matter if the high republic books were not contraticted yet they will be contraticted sooner or later and the people that denny that are delusional lucasfilm only sees the shows and movies as canon.i thought that maybe a few games were canon like Fallen order and jedi survivor but i don´t think they are because someone said that in fallen order Yadle was mentioned being a order 66 survivor but she die before episode 2 in tales of the jedi

Oh spoilers: THR introduces these creatures called Levelers who absorb the Force from any Force-wielder. Jedi gets in proximity to these things, they begin hallucinating, lose their Force-connection, and eventually get petrified. Sooo.... Bell and Loden have an encounter with one of these. It goes badly.
if everything leads to the sequels than why anybody want to watch the new canon shows?the sequels is canon and as long as that doesn´t change i don´t care about the new canon shows i am not gonna watch again the shows that i watch and like and im not gonna watch rogue one and solo again despite liking rogue one and solo
