I LOVED the High Republic Book and Comic Characters in Young Jedi Adventures

- Loden Greatstorm, Bell Zettifar, Ember, and Estala Maru all appeared in Young Jedi Adventures alongside Starlight Beacon and even some Nihil! I loved seeing their inclusion, and wanted to talk about it!

It does feel weird seeing these characters in a very cute and wholesome show, then remembering all the horrors yet to come in the books.

Holy cow! My kids have been watching the show endlessly lately and while I recognized Loden, Bell, Ember and Maru, I had zero idea that the pirates were Nihil.
Between Jedi Survivor and YJA, all these HR connections beyond books and comics have been great. Was cool seeing Loden, Bell, Ember, Maru and Starlight Beacon. Kriss getting a name drop was nice and I hope to see her appear in the flesh.
The two pirates being affiliated with the Nihl was definitely one I missed on first watch and I was shocked upon seeing them wear the symbol. Great way to acknowledge them without calling attention to it.
Seeing Ember in animation made it all worth it. 🤣
Lodin is great. Sure hope nothing horrifying happens to him.
At first I wasn't too excited about High Republic, but I have since jumped on the train. I like Bell (and Ember OMG, Ember. Goodest girl!) and I was also pleasantly surprised at how much like enjoyed seeing Bell and Loden in this cute little series. It was so heartwarming seeing Kai gush over Bell. The mention of Starlight Beacon really perked me up...then...I remembered. hahaha. *sad sigh*
So happy they're adding more and more lore into cannon.
Even better because a lot of it is quality content too!
I'm hopeful for some more visits to Starlight in the future. Crossing my fingers for Jora Malli and Sskeer to get background cameos if they do 😅
Learnt a good deal about Loden, Bell, Ember and Maru. Good to see Young Jedi Adventures connecting with the novels and comics.
I was so excited when I saw them! Bell is by far my favorite High Republic character. Every time a chapter is from his POV I know I'm going to get incredibly engrossed by what he's doing. I especially loved his character in The Rising Storm. I think that Cavan Scott writes him especially well.
Q&A: Would you be down for Degan Gera to show up, if not necessarily Young Jedi Adventures, but another High Republic book or comic, to showcase how he was before his descent into madness?
I'm happy for you. I will say that even though I don't read the books, because I have basic knowledge about these characters and concepts through this channel and what has been shared on the Star Wars RUclips Channel with their short minute long things, it was neat seeing the Nihil emblem and Starlight Beacon.

I have this great idea for a “Young Jedi Adventures” episode. The Younglings or just Kai encounter a Sith that shows them various moments of what would happen in the future throughout the timeline.

I love the idea of Kai becoming Bell's padawan at the end of Phase III. I hope it comes true.

Seeing the show and listening to the audio books of the high republic, I always thought that Taborr has to be related to 'the eye' of the Nihil. The voice and way of speaking is so eerily similar
I ♥️LOVE this show especially the creatures that they show and storyline is so engaging.
How old do you think Kai, Lys, and Nubs are at the moment in the latest installation of The High Republic?
Maybe between 9 to 10, at the beginning of the series I think they have 6 or 7 and 3 years passed from the beginning of phase 1 to 3.

Kinda funny that these characters who are involved in dark and mature stories are also in this show for little kids, which I don’t believe is true for any of Bluey’s friends.
