I'm so excited for phase 3, however its bittersweet knowing it is the final phase. At least for now. Such good Star Wars in this era, I hope we get more of the High Republic for years to come

A quick summary was really useful, and oh my god so much has happened. A video showing all the links between the phases and the connective tissue maybe, please? It honestly took me a while to realise that Azlin Rell in the new comics was the same investigator from the phase 2 comics, who was also briefly in the first phase 2 book.

The high republic is my favorite era next to the clone wars, it’s nice to see what the Jedi were like at their zenith.
Gotta wonder if Phase III will find a way to factor in Dagan Gera from Jedi Survivor. Otherwise his place in High Republic continuity remains something of a question mark.
Doubt it, it will only be a mention if anything. The game clearly puts his stasis at the beginning of phase 1 with the emergences, so he is already gone by the time of phase 3.
It is definitely possible that Dagan will appear in a flashback or something showing how the guardian protocols affected the Jedi, but in the story itself he is moat likely already frozen.
He mentions the emergences but what if hes frozen by phase 3 why would that not be possible?
@@gordinflas99 Do you mean frozen in phase 3? It seems very likely that it happens during phase 1. We see an emergence destroy Koboh's moon at the beginning of the game which seems to be after he discovered Tanalor. If his freezing happened in phase 3 that would mean he knew about Tanalor for more than 2 years which just doesn't seem likely given the story of the game.

Just finished Path of Vengeance. I've only been reading the YA and A novels from both phases. Stoked to start Phase III
i really like the high republic era alot and i am currently reading star wars the high republic quest for the hidden city as my first introduction to the era since its the first book in the timeline of the era and to think at first i didnt like the high republic era and now i do thanks to jedi survivor which introduced dagan gera and all the high republic stuff in the game

The sad thing about is tough, that whatever good the Jedi will be doing, it will all lead into Order 66 anyway. Really sad thing.

I love how Convergence can be summed up with "these planets have been at war with each other for a long time". Cataclysm more than makes up for it, but man Convergence is just skippable.

Great recap. I wonder what the Nihil are gonna do to mess up the Jedi in the next book since they already destroyed the Starlight Beacon but I guess we have to wait. The book’s still gonna be great anyway.

The High Republic series is kinda interesting to me as it shows the Jedi facing up with foes other than their archnemesis, the Sith. I would love to see another series similar to High Republic but focusing mainly on the Sith.

Can someone please give me the list of things to read in order? I can't seem to find a reliable one.
If you only want to focus on the adult/main novels, then Phase one is 1. Light of the Jedi 2. The Rising Storm and 3. The fallen Star and Phase two is 1. Convergence and 2. Cataclysm.

This is the peaceful and prosperous period of Republic history???
Relatively speaking. Phase 2 concerns mostly a couple of isolated incidents on planets in the outer rim, while phase 1 is a larger conflict, but one that’s still largely restricted to the outer rim. But the galaxy at large isn’t at war, like it was during the Jedi-Sith Wars, nor is it being ruled by a tyrannical empire like it was during the OT, so there’s a *relative* peace in the galaxy (or at least, that’s my guess)
I’m mostly poking fun. The High Republic would be kinda boring if there weren’t some high stakes conflicts happening.
It is just too much to keep up with. Only character I remember is Elzar and Kris

This sounds like someone wrote a sci-fantasy story and just slapped “Star Wars” on it.
Then just do it better.
If someone wrote a bookseries about an galaxy wide republic, that works together with a peaceful order of knights, that can get in touch with a mysterious energy field, my first thought would be „That’s Star Wars.“ In my opinion this series catches almost everything that makes Star Wars beautiful.

@@bastianp4600 Star Wars as an idea is difficult to explain. Other than the OT, I think the only other person that comes close to capturing the spirit of Star Wars in Dave Filoni. Everything else is fanfic.
