It's a shame this takes way before Order 66, the devs definitely knew we would react like this, they just knew and someone said "you know what, maybe we shouldn't do it in the prequel era" because, you bet someone, originally proposed that idea.

This gives me the same vibe as the warhammer kids book or how transformers rescue bots is set in the aligned continuity that contains slavery, rampant genocide, and starvation. It takes place at the same time as prime, so canonically one day optimus is fighting for his and his comrades life so they can get small scraps of energon and not starve to death and the next day he's going on a fun dinosaur adventure with the rescue bots.
I remember seeing a WH40K kids book at a bookstore and being all the confused.
Rescue bots is a perfect example of this how it’s set in the same world as the WFC, FOC and prime which can be quite dark, but lives in its own light hearted corner of a larger universe and it works

Definitely weird for kids to be encouraged to pilot ships and travel the galaxy by themselves, intentionally. But yeah, if you consider the fact that these kids are alive hundreds of years before Anakin was born, and you remember Yoda has been with the Jedi for half a millennia, then you realize that all of these characters hopefully lived long, healthy lives well after this show concludes. No Order 66 to be concerned about.

Yeah. Just how that weird wizard book series about some kids in a magic school encourages kids to solve mysteries that adults can't solve, absolve unjustly imprisoned criminals, fraternize with teachers that are potentially dangerous due to a condition that pesters them at full moon, fight wizard nazis and make excursions into dark forests full of dangerous wildlife. What an odd thing. That also didn't make sense.😅
Disney makes tons of these "For little kids" shows and it's surprising to me it took them over a decade to get one based on star wars on the air.
So stoked for Piotr Michael as Yoda! He sounds like a mix of the OG frank oz and the latest Tom Kane.. happy for him he is a big geek and fan of SW.

Nothing baffling about it. I'm glad this is coming. Now I can get my 4 year old into Star Wars. She loves Spider-Man now because of Spidey and His Amazing Friends. Now I get to enjoy these things with her.

When I was a kid 6 years old at the start - I watched the FUCKING The Clone Wars. It was fine, and I enjoyed it, and even now I still do.
Now like 10 years later kids are all sensitized and no violence
Watching Heavy sacrifice him on Rishi Moon was awesome, the only not awesome thing was having to watch Padme and some senator talk about stuff I didn't understand but the violence was great.
99 dying was definitely sad as a kid but its not like I was traumatized.
So this why Anakin killed the youngling.
Just because it's not set around a time where Order 66 could occur doesn't mean these kids are safe altogether from the sith. I think for the memes, everyone wants the show's ending to have them all die to an uprising of sith.

It's a show aimed at young kids about Jedi younglings going on adventures and learning life lessons. What's there to even be baffled about?
A lot of Star Wars fans apparently do not like Star Wars at all.
Some older fans of star wars are so annoying, they think that the franchise is only for them when it's not. Star Wars is made for kids/younger people in general as well. Both kids and adults love star wars, but for different reasons. So they make different star wars content for both demographics. A star wars show for kids and a star wars show for adults, but my god some adults are literally whinning about this kids cartoon for not meeting their expectations as if they expected young jedi adventures to be quote on quote "mature, dark and gritty". What cartoon shows that kids love are different to what cartoon shows that adults love. Mature, dark, gritty, intelligence and romance/sexual love is not for kids and that kids are forbidden to enjoy them in TV shows. Childish/immature is obviously for kids to enjoy since you know... children are childlish people.
Just like the Ewoks and Droids cartoons back in the 80s were for little kids. George Lucas also always said SW was made for kids not adults. This cartoon doesnt look to be for me but I am almost 45 however my 6 year old niece will love it and if it gets her more into SW that is awesome.

You obviously haven’t seen revenge of the Sith. Revenge of the Sith is like the purge to them,none of them survived it. Also like said by George Lucas himself Star Wars is not a toddler themed series it’s meant for teens and older.

I just find it weird that Luke and his Jedi Temple isn’t being explored at all and yet we get shows like this announced…like where are the priorities here. Luke Skywalker, Ben Solo and the Jedi Temple post ROTJ deserve their own Clone Wars style animated series, that story is so important and yet we are getting complete silence on that…but this toddlers show is being worked on.
The answer is pretty simple: money.
What’s the point?? It ends in ruin and none of the Jedi were deemed important enough by Disney to even have screen time let alone live.

Honestly, I think a show about Jedi younglings during Order 66 could be really good. Sad, dark, and utterly heartbreaking, yes, but also really good. A few episodes of fun and games where they learn valuable life lessons and then the last two or three episodes are them trying to not get slaughtered by clones, several of them ultimately dying in dramatic and emotional scenes. The sole survivor forever changed and traumatized by their experiences. I'd watch it.

The best part of the show is seeing Yoda in the happiest moments of his life. In era of the high republic where the sith have not been seen for years and the jedi was thriving. A time Yoda will always remember fondly before he has to watch everything he cherish vanquish in front of him.

I actually like this show, it's a good introduction to Star Wars for younger audiences. The fact that it takes place well before the prequel era means you can use entirely different characters. It'll also have a lighter tone because the galaxy was peaceful back then.

After a long time of being alive and enjoying things when they were fairly new, you learn the original idea will be destroyed in about 20years of consistent interest. Lots of things will have been much cooler and you'll watch em get as far from the original idea as possible as time goes on, and the new fans who don't know any better cause it's what they are given will support it hella hard having little understanding of how it's supposed to be. This happens with everything drug out this long. It's a bummer.

They DID make a show about the Younglings during the Order 66 period. A whole ton of the Lego Star Wars stuff featuring younglings is set during that era. And you know what? It's funny and lighthearted and great!
