Thank you for the videos of the Force. Please keep them coming. I’m currently on my second Garmin Force. The first one was replaced for a number of reasons. One of which was how much ‘play’ my motor has. It seems to rock back and forth when I pulse the propeller. Second issue was the automatic reversing issue I experienced when I hit anchor lock. Currently, both Force motors I’ve had have the same issues. This means either I’ve had two dud Forces, or they are all the same.
Would love to see a video showing how your Force behaves when you hit Anchor Lock. I’m dying to see one not automatically turn the head and reverse back. This would give me reason to request another replacement or to get my money back. Appreciate your time!

I’m comparing the kraken and the riptide instinct to pair with my Garmin echo map chartplotter.
I like reversing propeller on the Kraken and the Garmin to Garmin connectivity, but the drift and cruise function on the Minkota is very intriguing to me because I will primarily use the trolling motor to actually troll…
But I’m torn. Do you have an opinion on the differences?
I find it ironic that they are marketed as a “trolling motor” but the majority of the videos suggest that the primary use is casting for bass…
I would like advice on the best actual “trolling motor” for trolling. Thanks

Do you believe that the Force is so efficient that you can get by with using smaller group size of conventional batteries, such as Group 27 rather than group 31 batteries. 27's are lighter and cost less, but also do not have the power that the 31's do. I'm rigging a new boat with a new Force for the first time. In the past, I have always used the largest conventional trolling motor batteries I could. I mostly crappie fish now, but if the weather is crazy, I wont be on the lake; I don't brave and fight a lot of wind anymore. So, I don't expect absolute performance and longevity of charge.

Lol, GPS is down to the fractions of a inch, Garmin just doesn't have the technology to use it and make it affordable to the public, if you get a chance, find some rough water where your trolling motor is coming out of the water, a few people are saying the Anchor mode will kick out and you have to reboot the unit to get it working again, I'm shopping for a trolling motor and I fish rough water.

I adjusted the gain it did not help this is the 2nd Force I’ve had the first would be doing fine then take off on full power to one side or the other then it just died they replaced it they said to not let the shaft slide down pinching the cables was the cause. Today the cables weren’t pinched literally just turned left and went in circles at half speed

@@briangraser3314 it’s a collar that goes around the shaft that’s above the servo that helps eliminate that problem.

I’ve had no problems with mine. I guarantee I use mine more than the average person and I’m
Extremely rough on it due to where I fish. Sorry you’ve had a bad experience

I am looking for another trolling motor. I bought the Minn Kota power drive 2 years ago and its been a hassle. Spot lock doesn't seem to work that well, constantly moving around. spins in circle, and when the motor adjust it wraps around itself. Now the prop won't spin and prob needs a new control board. Def don't recommend the Minn Kota

I have heard several people say that every time they power up it will say you have to update and they say it’s not until you are on the water when this happens. Does your do that? And if it does what all is entailed in that process? Thanks. New to channel and really enjoy past videos. My boat came with Garmin so I’m wanting to keep it all Garmin. I fish one lake, so I don’t need a bunch of chart plotting updates. Fish on.

@@Carywilliford I’ve only updated mine once. The only place it says that an update is available is the active Captain app. I not sure where else it could say that because the remote doesn’t say that. It’s easy to update tho
