At 270 lbs I knew I needed a change since I have a horrible back. I started a proper portion change and have lost a total of 80 lbs in the last year and I eat what ever I want just in a set amount. Hard to start cause you still feel hungry for about 30 days but your body adjusts. Happy Anniversary 🎉
I started at 266 and I’m at 222. I have hypothyroidism. My doctor keeps having to adjust my medication, but I’m doing what I can. Congratulations on your weight loss!

Brazillians speak Portuguese, but it's quite a bit different than Portuguese spoken in Portugal. So if you're used to Spanish it's going to be a lot different. Different seasonings make a big difference and just takes getting used to. When I tried Persian food, my first bite was "oh that's bad." but my next bite was "This is pretty good." Also it makes a huge difference if you're eating at a family's home vs. a restaurant. My restaurant experience with Persian food is like yours - so-so food at an enormous price. Happy Anniversary! Im from Western Australia, we eat a lot of lamb here, other people from different countries say it has a gamey taste. If you have lamb with mint sauce its nice or just salt and pepper with garlic its really nice. Worth another try!
I have eaten at 2 different Brazilian restaurants one here in Mexico, totally wonderful, and one in San Antonio totally amazing loved it. But I am California born and breed, grew up eating food from all over the world. Sorry you did not enjoy your meal.

Cassie I'm one of those meat and potato guys. In my early twenties I worked for one of those restaurants that catered to people with money. It was nothing for a couple to drop $400-$500 for a meal and drinks and not even eat the food. We got free lunch . Lamb is much closer to venison when you cook it. It's considered lamb if it is under a year, after that it is mutton. Trim off ALL fat and substitute pork fat for cook ability. When it is done it is pink. If you cook past the pink it will be tough. All mutton is tough so slo cook it. Seasons that work well with lamb, savory, salt, pepper, chicory, fennel, dill, sage, poultry seasoning, parsley. We raised (hair) sheep for roughly 15 years and I really liked cooking with it once I figured it out. It also mixes well with pork when in doubt. But remember this fat is like deer fat, remove all of it before cooking.

Thank you God my son, daughter-in-law and my grandkids all escaped with their lives but they said if they had hesitated even 30 seconds it would have been too late for all of them. Unfortunately, their 4 inside dogs did not make it. When my daughter-in-law woke up she saw a red reflection on their bedroom door and yelled to my son as she ran to the kids. He ran to help her and just seconds later when he ran back to get the dogs and their cellphones to call for help, his was was blocked by the raging fire. Wisconsin is known for it's supper clubs where you can get a fantastic steak for under $30 and often under $20 depending on the cut. That comes with salad, bread, potato and sometimes a relish dish. No one leaves hungry and often with a doggie bag. I tend to judge all others by this standard. I remember in Montana seeing the billboards for Montana beef. Stopped at a family restaurant, nothing fancy and we are talking close to $50 for a meal a fraction of the size. They must prize their beef! I'll stick to our little hole in the wall supper clubs. We are also known for Friday night fish fries due to the large Catholic population around here. Growing up we never had meat on Fridays in school because of this, even though I'm not Catholic. Tradition runs deep. Summers are known for Booyah boils. Well made booyah is so flavorful.

7:39 we had a restaurant here in Alabama was called Brazos Brazil. It sounds a lot like that with the way the parade meter around, but they didn’t stay in business because of the prices. I think they had the roast beef and they had the veal really good. They didn’t parade around one time the salad bar Was outstanding but instead of potatoes, you got fried yuca And it was really good however just not my type of restaurant sorry

As I had stomach cancer and they removed the stomach in 2017 .. still cancer free today 😁👍💪🤟 looking up some of the recipes . But new changes are always good .. now seems I have what they calling the inflammatory issues.. and I'm one to look for other alternatives then medications if at all possible. Luv U guy's 💞💞💞💞

I ate at a restaurant like that in San Antonio with my son when he graduated from school at Lackland. I’m not a big meat eater but it was right down my sons alley at that time! All other food was OK but to me not worth the money!! Happy Anniversary!!!

Oh I love lamb, but if you want more of a certain meat, let your server know and they will bring you more. Those kind of places are expensive, but get what you like
I loved the Brazilian buffet in our area. Unfortunately, I had a gastric bypass years ago and I can’t eat that much. I avoided the salads and sides so I could concentrate on the meat. If you want more of a particular meat, ask and they bring it to you. Depending on where you sit in the restaurant, they may run out before they get to your table. All we did was ask the next waiter who came to our table for a particular meat and he sent someone directly to us. It’s the kind if place that if you don’t speak up, you lose. I probably wouldn’t go back because of the cost versus the amount I can eat. I can’t finish a full meal at a regular steakhouse, so buffets are definitely a waste for me.
Happy 16th! Late hubby took me and our niece who lived with us to Fogo de Choa a Brazilian steakhouse here in Houston. It was a surprise, neither of us like surprises, he told us to dress up nicely, um for what??? We didn’t like the place at all. Well Barry did, (meat part only) but we’d rather go to Texas Roadhouse. It sounds to me like healthy eating. Dairy causes inflammation, so slot of people don't eat that. Good luck on your reset.👍❤ They have sugar free catsup now and lot of options for non dairy cheeses.👍

Good luck with your temp change. I liked it so much I stuck with it 😅. I been eating like this for about 5 years now and I think it's made a great change in my health. Lamb is a very healthy meat btw.
I used to weigh 350 lbs and the doctors told me i needed to lose weight because i had high blood pressure and a really bad back ao i started by cutting out all the pepsi i drank but then i was still drinking coffee with sugar and creamer and i was seeing my self loaing weight and my wife said to just drink your coffee black ao i started doing that and within 6 months i dropped to 240 lbs i still dont drink Pepsi or have alot of sugar and i eat like a pig now and im down to 207 ita like i revitalized my metabolism and im 58 now and feel great
One thing I try to do when it comes to watching what I eat is I will pretty much just shop the outside of the store. This gives you meats, vegetables, fruits, cheese, butter, eggs, yogurt, etc. Staying away from the inside aisles where all the processed foods are.
The thyroid rollercoaster is a wild ride. Natural thyroid replacement made all the difference for me. Synthroid does not address T 3, which you need. I take Armour Thyroid. It addresses T4 and T3. Have a full Hormone panel done and if you are deficient in any hormones ask your Dr to prescribe bioidentical hormone replacement. A compounding pharmacy can make up a cream to apply daily. The rollercoaster will slow to a stop!

I try every piece that comes by...when you don't see them come back by with one you like you can ask them to send someone back over with the steak. You definitely want to eat your money worth in meat. That's where I tried Lamb for the first time. I was not a fan of it.

Lamb is delicious! I like it marinated in olive oil, garlic, rosemary and S&P then grilled. It’s my fav way

I loved the Brazilian buffet in our area. Unfortunately, I had a gastric bypass years ago and I can’t eat that much. I avoided the salads and sides so I could concentrate on the meat. If you want more of a particular meat, ask and they bring it to you. Depending on where you sit in the restaurant, they may run out before they get to your table. All we did was ask the next waiter who came to our table for a particular meat and he sent someone directly to us. It’s the kind if place that if you don’t speak up, you lose.
I probably wouldn’t go back because of the cost versus the amount I can eat. I can’t finish a full meal at a regular steakhouse, so buffets are definitely a waste for me.

Happy 16th! Late hubby took me and our niece who lived with us to Fogo de Choa a Brazilian steakhouse here in Houston. It was a surprise, neither of us like surprises, he told us to dress up nicely, um for what??? We didn’t like the place at all. Well Barry did, (meat part only) but we’d rather go to Texas Roadhouse. Spent $$$$.

I am also a diabetic type 2 and I already eat healthy. I cut myself back to 2 meals a day, 266 pounds on 5’7” frame is a lot to carry around! Just so y’all know, I pray for Stacey and her family daily! I know that God’s will, will be done! I just hope she doesn’t suffer! I also pray for y’all and your family! Lots of prayers for everyone! Good Morning Cassie and Gary. Happy 16 year Anniversary. We have a Brazilian buffet near us sounds the same as us we have chicken hearts on our menu they can be chewy..the salad bar is awesome and a lot of other things on the buffet.

It sounds to me like healthy eating. Dairy causes inflammation, so slot of people don't eat that. Good luck on your reset.👍❤ They have sugar free catsup now and lot of options for non dairy cheeses.👍

I used to weigh 350 lbs and the doctors told me i needed to lose weight because i had high blood pressure and a really bad back ao i started by cutting out all the pepsi i drank but then i was still drinking coffee with sugar and creamer and i was seeing my self loaing weight and my wife said to just drink your coffee black ao i started doing that and within 6 months i dropped to 240 lbs i still dont drink Pepsi or have alot of sugar and i eat like a pig now and im down to 207 ita like i revitalized my metabolism and im 58 now and feel great

One thing I try to do when it comes to watching what I eat is I will pretty much just shop the outside of the store. This gives you meats, vegetables, fruits, cheese, butter, eggs, yogurt, etc. Staying away from the inside aisles where all the processed foods are.

The thyroid rollercoaster is a wild ride. Natural thyroid replacement made all the difference for me. Synthroid does not address T 3, which you need. I take Armour Thyroid. It addresses T4 and T3. Have a full Hormone panel done and if you are deficient in any hormones ask your Dr to prescribe bioidentical hormone replacement. A compounding pharmacy can make up a cream to apply daily. I try every piece that comes by...when you don't see them come back by with one you like you can ask them to send someone back over with the steak. You definitely want to eat your money worth in meat. That's where I tried Lamb for the first time. I was not a fan of it.
