I got a pcn from the council. Only saw it when I got home. I don't even know if I was really parked in the wrong place. The council website has no way of checking photographic evidence. What do I do? Just assume I was wrong?
Apparently bailiffs can’t do anything either. All you have to do is deny access into your home. It’s illegal for them to come into your home unless you invite them. Once you invite them in, no matter what you say or do, they are in their rights to stay in the property and possibly even take assets so remember don’t let them into your home
@@MoneyNerd @razvan1282 no worries. Another huge point. Never leave your door unlocked or open even at the slightest because the bailiffs will be within their right to peacefully enter your home whether you invite them or not. So remember, lock your door even if you’re going to grab documents to show the bailiffs, next thing you know, they’ll be in your house
For private land chargers, i write to them asking for an admin fee (same amount as the fine) to release the drivers details due to GDPR. The dvla are happy to give out your private data to private companies for a fee, which im sure is a breach in the data protection act, so why not do the same.. They always write to me apologising and cancel the fine 😂. Or you can hit them with the bill of rights, there is a section that cleary states fines etc are void before a court conviction.
Hi. If there’s a slight error with the number plate. Fully paid for parking on the App that was the only option as there were no pay meters. I believe autocorrect changed the last letter u to a y. Can I appeal this?
Hi Fateema! you can try to submit an appeal for the reason you mentioned. In the appeal, explain with as much detail as possible and any evidence to back up your claims. Also, make sure to include the ticket number, the vehicle registration number, and your address. You can download our penalty charge notice appeal letter template here: moneynerd.co.uk/pcn-appeal-letter-template/ Hope this helps!
Well, if it's a penalty parking fine I will not pay them if it's the police. I will pay them but I will take it off my tax return. No problems. I get it back anyway, straight away. I'll take a little one bank slip it back in that bank
