Tell me if the court ordering in their favour of £100 parking fine which was the original amount? As you ignored other letters, what do you have to pay? They wont be no debt collection fees the court will award them…..and they could only claim the original amount which is contract law. The debt collection companies dont want it to go to court as then they wont get their fees from the so called debtor
How does it work if a private parking company sends out a parking charge after 14 days but then also fails to make a decision on an appeal after 35 days?
Yes it only cost £5 to speak to a legal person online but you also have to pay £50 a month. You cant just pay the £5 for a one off chat. So theyve got you there too
You can cancel within three days and you are not then required to pay the monthly membership. I didn't realise this and got stung for the £50. I "made representations" to them and got a refund.
No a private parking company cannot get your details from the DVLA, they get it from your VC5 log book. I know this as I didn't update my new address on my logbook so tickets were being sent to my old address yet i had updated my new address with DVLA as my new address is on my driving licence. Its the address you put down when you purchased your car regardless what address DVLA have. Im a bus driver so I had to update my address with DVLA unaware any parking fines would be sent to my old address from not updating my VC5 . So watch out for this
I'm going through this now had one cancelled. The others are at different stages and the council have not sent me a list of all live PCN's so I can sort it out. One minor mistake is likely to cost me north of £600 now.
People dealing with a parking ticket: JustAnswer helps you appeal it. Chat online here: moneynerd.co.uk/appeal-my-parking-ticket/

It's the vehicle's registered keeper's details that they get from the DVLA.
Not the address that's on your driving licence.
Never pay a private parking ticket
I have been threatened with legal action though ......
Can it effect your credit score?
@@tariqs2072Yes, if you blindly ignore everything.
