The solution is fairly simple. These days most people are aware of PCN signs on private car parks for shopping centres and retail parks. You certainly need to be aware of any cameras on 20 feel poles. I keep a small role of black insulating tape in my glove box. If I believe I have gone over a time limit, I cover over 2 of the digits of my registration plates with black insulating tape. The camera cannot read your full registration plate and no fine is issued. This is perfectly legal because you are on private property and it is your car and your tape and you can do what you want with it. When you get on to a public highway you need to remove the tape. No one is going to stop you and no one is going to check the camera for when you went in the carpark because it is a fully automated system and they do not have the staff to check camera footage. Even if they did, a picture of your registration plate with tape on is not sufficient proof. It's a civil matter not criminal. So you don't even have to be wise after the event. Just put some insulation tape in your glove box just in case
Can you give more information regarding private parking charge notice, I had one and they play the odds you pay up. I never paid and they give up after a month or so. !!!
Does anyone have advice or experience with this situation before? I recently received a letter informing me that I have to pay a fine for parking at the hotel site without paying. Here's what happened: I dropped off my passenger at a hotel at Stansted Airport. It took around 10 minutes because my passenger is disabled, and it took time to unload the luggage and set up the wheelchair. We also had a problem with the card machine. I submitted proof of my booking for the passenger and they provided proof of hotel bookings as well, but it was rejected. I appealed the decision, but it was still rejected. It looks like this is going to be a long fight because I am not willing to pay!
I think he’s wrong here and a bit suspicious of his advice. You can ignore their letters as it’s unlikely they will book a court because it costs them money and time, remember you will just be one of MANY! Don’t respond or communicate as it might then be considered to be contract. Google it! Beware ones that say pay it!!! I ignored a couple of yrs ago. Couple of letters and gone

This guy is useless….he’s suggesting you pay the fine when you really don’t have to….wont be watching anymore of his pointless videos anymore.
Hmm, why do you think you don't have to pay?
