    HP this video was in no way helpful. You literally spent over 15 minutes looking for little pieces of paper! For everyone else, if the problem is that the carriage won't move all the way to the right, or if your carriage is stuck on the right, it might be that black piece that is under the carriage (on the right) is catching on the ink carriage. The piece has a inked sponge-like square on it, just FYI. What I did was manually move the ink carriage to the left. Mine resisted a lot. Once it was moved out of the way, I then wiggled the black piece a bit to kind of un-catch it from what ever it was caught on and then moved it up (not out) to get it out of the way of the carriages path. It now works. Obviously, do this at your own risk. I was at the point that I was going to throw the printer off my balcony so I really didn't care if I accidentally broke a piece.

      Howww? Is it that one that moves under the cartridge that seems to clean the ink? I am not sure what is that "thing" you were talking in which you "took up". I'm struggling to fix it huhu

    Every time I switch on my printer, when it is starting up it makes a loud juddering noise and says clear carriage jam but there is nothing in it. Once I ok it, it just repeats the same. It is a brand new printer and is only the second time I have used it. The juddering is coming from underneath the right hand side, but I can't see what is causing it.

      Please search for C03261117 on HP's home page or using Google search. The title of the document is "A 'Carriage Jam' Message Displays on the Control Panel". It will walk you through the steps for trouble shooting a carriage jam.
      And as silly as this may sound, please ensure the printer is sitting on flat surface and not have anything hiding under it. A customer once had a similar problem and didn't realize a pen had rolled under their printer and the printer was actually sitting on the pen and causing it to shudder.

    I've had 2 of these printers in the last 8 months and each time I've had this carriage jam issue. I have tried over and over to fix it and have ended up having to buy a new printer each time. It just happened again and I can't get it to work so I will be buying a new printer and it will NOT be an HP!

      It sounds like the print spooler on your computer needs some help, please download and run HP's Print and Scan Doctor utility. The HP Print and Scan Doctor is a free utility (tool) that helps to quickly resolve common printing, scanning and connectivity issues. I've included the "Using Print and Scan Doctor for Windows to Help Resolve Printer Issues" document ( ow.ly/yYQK3011cJP ) for you. You can always download it from hp.com/go/tools

    This video wasted so much time telling me over and over to try printing printer status. This didn't resolve my issue. What is wrong with HP printers, they just jam up and can't be resolved. Second time in a printer in the last several years.

    What drivel, if the carriage is jammed it's jammed, you can not move it manually, you can't carry out any of the other steps suggested because you can not get rid of the error message.
    Don't waste your money on this printer, my second one in a year has failed, both times carriage jam, the only way to move it is with a large hammer.
    HP know all about this fault but really don't care, it's a con.

    Did not work at all. After wasting all that time going through each step, this 2 month old printer that has hardly ever been used still isn't working...making a weirder than normal sound and I can't even get the control panel screen to show anything but clear carriage jam

      Hi Sue. Please search for C03261117 on HP's home page or using Google's search. It is a document with detailed trouble shooting steps for your printer if it has a carriage jam. The last solution is to have the printer serviced. Please contact HP's technical support to review the service options available to you.

    Hey, HP support, it's not working. Everybody know about paper jam and check it at first. You put yourself little pieces of paper everywhere inside of printer and find them yourself in annoying long slow video. Better check what Erika P. put on her comment. That's the real issue with this problem.

    • @HPSupport
      @HPSupport  3 года назад

      +Bekei Please perform the steps mentioned under this document to fix this issue: bit.ly/2V1aumm

    • @bekei7256
      @bekei7256 3 года назад

      @@HPSupport I don't know what's that. But I've already fixed it using Erika P.'s comment. May be instead of sending new link to me, for everyone's sake, you should fix this video, where we are all now. Because everybody who has Carriage jam problem, after online search, will come to this your "Fixing a Carriage Jam" video, and 16+ minutes will be finding paper pieces with you. If that link has solution of problem, I suggest you edit this video and put that solution in the beginning of this video. And it's shame for such famous respectful company as HP, who makes such miserable production failure which makes big problem and people throw away their printers...
