Followed this exactly and it Saved my printer - thank you - if you did all of this and it still will not move, place your hand under the carriage in the locked position and gently move the floating plastic piece that’s under the moving carriage “back”.
This was perfect! I too looked all over internet with no luck. I thought paper jam was the problem (noted on the panel) when really it was the cartridge! Works like a charm now. Thanks for your video!
Thanks for getting me out of a jam. I just had to get the right size screwdriver and follow your instructons. Bingo - works just like new... Many many thanks copy readers the scary bit is having to pull out the bracket/hinge - but dont worry it works.
OMG, thank goodness for you. I just took my printer apart like an idiot because i needed to clean the ink that was leaking from one of the ink cartridges. Now somehow when i turn on my printer it keeps reading paper jam. What I should've of done was research this first before even trying to do anything. Like duhh kaylyn.. lol ...anyways thank you Mr. Ngo!
I just had a similar problem with my HP printer but when I got the carriage unstuck out of that corner it still is telling me theres a jam. I wonder if that piece is still loose in there.

Man I wouldn’t really be able to help you unless I took mine apart again or saw pictures. I just like taking things apart and trying to fix them if broken and happen to think people needed to see this cause I didn’t see anything online about it.
Yes normally that’s how. This is how to fix it when the latch comes loose and catches the cartridge tray making it stuck and can’t move at all. That latch comes out of place and jams the tray up.
Excellent video that allowed me to diagnose and repair my HP 3522 printer instead of buy a new printer. Thanks again!

so glad I found this, I couldn't figure out how to get the latch off the lid haha now I can at least try to finish my repairs!

Yeah I would say that arm/sensor isn’t clipped in correctly or is broken. Try taking it apart and seeing if it is installed right.

YOU JUST TURN THE MACHINE ON AFTER OPENING THE DOOR AND WAIT FOR THE CARTRIDGES TO STOP MOVING THEN POP THEM OUT
