    Why Do Fabric Chairs Need Cleaning?
    The human body sheds skin dust and secretes body oil. When you sit in a fabric chair, these get absorbed into the fabric. Over time, these build up as ugly, smelly stains.

    UPDATE: in hindsight, this method's deodorization works well, but the stain removal was mediocre. First, removing stains with spot cleaner takes too long. Second, the results only last for a month or so before stains reappear!
    Our NEW AND IMPROVED stain removal method takes less than 10 minutes, uses common household ingredients, and lasts 3x longer. When mild stains appear 3 months later, use this upgraded method: ruclips.net/video/yrJC0CXxa8A/видео.html

    I wanna use a water vaccum on the chair like they use to detail the cars. I talked to my detailer who is remote and came and saw the chair and said you can use it , but I am nervous. but from what I Just saw you did lol it seems that would be noting...

      I recently got too lazy to go through all steps. So I tried a quicker method and it worked well!
      1. Put generic laundry detergent onto a scouring pad. Add water, then scrub directly into the fabric.
      2. Use a hard plastic brush to scrub VERY HARD over the fabric.
      3. Sop up the detergent by scrubbing with a wet towel.
      4. Dry under sunlight (it takes a few hours).
      The results were excellent. The actual cleaning process only took around 5 minutes. I will put up another video about it later.
      Based on my test, as long as you don't get the padding super soaked, you should be good with a water vac! You should also make sure your detergent is non-staining as well.

      @@chairsfx Hi. I`m looking forward to the video about that. As the summer hits in, I`m sweating more often, I`m looking for a routine 5min maintenance cleanup to do more often. I have subbbed your channel, so I wont miss this video when you will release it :)
      See ya then till the next video, cheers ;)

    my chair smell like ass, literally, so this method works for clean it up?

    • @chairsfx
      @chairsfx  Год назад

      Yes! The scrubbing will remove stains and bacteria causing the bad smell. The baking soda/ sun bath will remove any lingering smells. If you're not keen on manual scrubbing, a wet vac like a Bissel Little Green also works! amzn.to/3ZuKhvK

    Just wondering how long we should leave it in the sun for?

    • @chairsfx
      @chairsfx  Год назад +1

      Drying the chair in direct sunlight takes 1-2 hours. That's enough, in my experience. Leaving the chair in direct sunlight all day every day will most likely sun fade the upholstery.

    Gonna throw out my recliner chair I paid $650 bucks 3 1/2 yrs ago. Thank im gonna try this. But like I've read but they didn't have replys to. Question what if it's not possible I live apartment building and I have no sun. Can I just use a fan ? I know sun help sanitize the chair.

    • @chairsfx
      @chairsfx  5 месяцев назад

      If you can't access direct sunlight, I suggest deodorizing your chair with a baking soda bath. If you also decide to wet scrub out some stains, you can quick-dry it using a blow drier.

    This doesn't work for gamer chairs. You're only cleaning the surface. The biological material is literally embedded into the foam padding underneath, and the stench you masked will always come back
