Awesome instructions. Thanks mate! I've been meaning to make one of these for ages (and save my shirts and backside from dirt stripes) and you made it step by step easy. In fact I made the template for the fender while on a coffee break :)
This is super easy and works well I'm so happy I found this video and the front fender video. I did both of them and on my first try took less then 20mins. I didn't have any plastic laying around so I had to use cardboard. I don't expect it to last long. Also for the rear fender I made some adjustments. First I took a metal hanger and stretched it out. Then I put it through the bottom of the seat. (same place you have yours). Last I duct taped two pieces of cardboard matching the hangers design and that's it. Without this I would be all wet for work today thank you so much.
+BunkerHillAirsoft you could try painting/clearcoating the cardboard to seal it up & will prevent the cardboard from getting soggy too.also if you drill the holes a bit further apart it will curve the length slightly & prevent it from sagging, some trial & error tests made on scrap cardboard will allow u get the hole spacing right before making a better one in plastic, also measuring the width of the seat rails with vernier calipers or a ruler should make this process easier :)
also try laminating 2 thicknessess of cardboard together with p.v.a glue, this glue is plastic (poly vinyl acetate) so it will stand up to rain & the weather too :) also some watered down pva could be painted onto the cardboard to seal it up & as a bonus will stiffen it up too :)
I thought plastic cover on cardboard too. If water gets inside it makes cardboard soft. Maybe milk package, it is designed to hold watery product or juice package. They are limited in hight though. I made chainguard from plastic cover. Between tyre frame and chain to protect chain from mud.
thank you for the video, honestly after todays weather i was going to purchase one but I would much rather make my own for a fraction of the cost lol, great thinking as well with the chopstick idea, leaving now for the store to get this party started!! bike on man!
James Weber its true tho i made one the day o commented, and i used a all clear plastic from a box that had gift wrapping rolles in them , and i made a almost square triangle thst covered around the wheel and i can say i was spotless etven on the sides of the tighs and outter part of the cheeks , Thinking of making a tutorial aswell
Thank you. I have a bike but it’s been so rainy and no fenders. Now away I go….you’re amazing. Take care

Your super sweet yellow cardigan is gonna get all dirty with this crappy design, the fender needs to be down by the rear break.
he has style, who cares
lol youtube comments
never mind the part about how this design doesn't actually prevent your ass from getting drenched
