They sang at my university and when my boyfriend looked at me during this song he had tears in his eyes. Now we're getting married tomorrow :) Thanks Voces8
This was my husbands favourite song, it was our wedding dance song, we cried lots. 31.3.18, then last year he gained his angel wings 9.2.22, listening to this again, I truly was The Luckiest to have been his wife, makes me cry so much!
This brought tears to my eyes and gave me chills. What a beautiful arrangement.❤️ My husband and I celebrate 11 years of marriage in May. This is our song. “The Luckiest” is engraved in our wedding bands.
So sorry to hear. God bless you and heal your heart and soul ❤ remember, every storm will pass and bright days are coming your way. You truly deserve to be happy and well! When bad things happen it is not your fault, just hang in there until it passes and keep the faith. Much love ❤❤❤
❤❤❤ So sorry to read. Sometimes bad things do happen to us and it's not your fault. Just hang in there and keep the faith. Every storm will pass and bright days are coming your way. You truly deserve to be happy and well and you will rise out of the ashes even stronger than before. May your heart and soul be blessed and find healing. I believe in you. Much love from Germany ❤
God you guys this is just so gorgeous, I'm like in tears. Something about that chord at 2:47. Thank you so much. Someday I'll get to hear you in person I hope.
It's my dream to sing this to my spouse at our wedding one day...except I'm in the same boat as you. I can't sing this song alone in my own room without crying, much less in front of an audience!
I don't get many things right the first time In fact, I am told that a lot Now I know all the wrong turns The stumbles, and falls brought me here And where was I before the day That I first saw your lovely face? Now I see it everyday And I know that I am I am, I am the luckiest What if I'd been born fifty years before you In a house on the street where you live? Maybe I'd be outside as you passed on your bike Would I know? And in a wide sea of eyes I see one pair that I recognize And I know that I am I am, I am the luckiest I love you more than I have Ever found a way to say to you Next door, there's an old man who lived to his 90's And one day, passed away in his sleep And his wife, she stayed for a couple of days And passed away I'm sorry, I know that's a strange way To tell you that I know we belong That I know that I am I am, I am the luckiest
One of your most beautiful vocal arrangements and sang in a stellar way. The way the melody moves through the parts is just, magical. A poignant performance. Thank you.
ein phantastisches video mit hinreißenden Stimmen und tollem Arrangement. Konnte VOCES8 in Hannover und Berli n erleben. Einfach ein Erlebnis und Traum
@@CorporateQueen The term "guy" which I believe derives from Guy Fawkes and is still a boy's name has come to be used interchangeably for both sexes within my lifetime, perhaps within the last 20-30 years especially - in my youth a guy was always a man and, as proof of this, my dictionary of 1969 defines a guy as US colloquial for "man, fellow" . Language changes of course but I know there are women who do not wish to be called"guys" - search google "Do women want to be called "guy"?" and you'll see articles about women who don't. Despite the widespread current usage, originating in the US, I consider it demeaning to women as it's treating them as if they were men. I know my opinion will not change people's practice but just consider how men would feel if suddenly they were bracketed with women as "girls" or "gals." It would never happen. I've also heard women being called "chaps" which is just as bad. In an age of feminism it's perhaps surprising that more women don't stand up against this usage and assert "I am NOT a guy." And coming back to Voces8, they are a brilliant group of singers consisting of both men and women and whatever the world says I shall not be calling them "guys."
i think they are reposting their videos because they are now signed with one of the companies under vevo. being associated with vevo has some perks, such as your video being one of the first that pops up with a related search and generally more publicity :)
We who hear Voces8, are The Luckiest!!!

Omg that's amazing 🥺. What an amazing love story I wish y'all a happy marriage 🥺
That’s the sweetest thing I’ve ever heard ❤️❤️
That’s a great idea.

happy for both of you
Sublime. Blake Morgan's vocal is heartbreaking
Who knew that Captain America has such a lovely singing voice.
I mean, canonically speaking, he was in a barbershop quartet..
That's on of those multiverse versions of the first Avenger
He lost weight too. Looks great.
Excuse me?
Hahaha just what I was thinking 😂

So sorry for your loss
❤
The first time I heard this song, was the day I met my second husband, and 6,5 years later I am still the luckiest of all. 👵👴❤

There are no words... only tears... A simply sublime marriage of text and music.
This was our first dance at our wedding. He left me about 3 months ago & moved on quickly. I’m devastated & miss London with all my heart.
You are too good for him. Remember that. ❤

Still one of the best things I've ever heard.
Bravo. having listened 20 times already, the tears of appreciation continue to flow like the Thames river. merci de Lille, France
Wonderful, I can hear the angels singing...
Master piece of a master piece....period.
Never fails to make me cry

Just look at the posture. Look at the poise. Listen to the sound. Just so compelling.
I sang this song to my wife at our 50th wedding anniversary party
Or tried to. ❤
Adorable 🥺

i know, oh, i know
Congratulation for 50th wedding anniversary!
I had the guests come in on the chorus. It was ok, we were ALL crying.
I like this because of its being a true music video telling a story and not just a video of Voces8 performing music.
4:07 - 4:30 is just hauntingly beautiful. The chords and your voices are flawless.
voces8 is one of the very few vocal groups that can outdo the original versions
What more to add. I was spellbound . So glorious. Thanks .

Thanks for posting the lyrics, Paul!
I tried - and failed - not to cry. Sublime.
Beautiful setting with the candle light 🕯️Thanks for pairing sight and sound and soul beauty.
Music from heaven! So I'm the luckiest!
Wow! Incredible as always.

Oh my heavens. So powerful and so beautiful.
This is our wedding song 🥰 Beautiful.
VOCES8 at its most lush… love love love every incarnation before and after, but this is, for me, perhaps VOCES8 at its most rich… wow
So beautiful and so meaningful! 🌷
Tears. Love this song and they do such a good job with it.
Thank you ❤
Sensational ❤
Großartig!
Wow! Takes me back! One of the foundational songs in my early music appreciation.
Ben Folds, man...
Love love love love love love love
Ooo yay!!! Good job 👏🏻
Just lovely!
Quand la musique vocale se fait perfection ! ! !
Awesome!
So pure-pure talent
Goosebumps
This is stunning.
Absolutely exquisite!
Très beau chant j'aime beaucoup et belle vidéo. 🌈

When i imagine angels singing in heaven, this is what i imagine ❤️
Still so beautiful, guys. 🙏
Hey, lady! They are not all guys! Some of them are gals. Only men can be guys. That's why people called Guy are all men.
@@davidstedeford387 I think you should perhaps learn some colloquial English before you try to correct people. 😂
@@CorporateQueen yes as many people use "guys" as a gender neutral term

Good for you. As you wish.
This version beats the auto tuned one. 1000 times
This says how I feel about my daughters.
Try singing without vibrato, full voice and stay on pitch. Amazing!
Shoutout to Ben Folds! 🎶
Ethereal
2:43 sounds lik e Homer Simpson
Why is this getting posted again after the 2017 version? Anyone know?

Weird lyrics -- not my favorite Voces 8 piece. What's the line about the kid on their bike??? Borders on creepy.
