Honestly any comedian who posts as much of their material as Carr has to be respected on a few levels, I know there’s a business sense to it and RUclips ads blah blah, but I’m always impressed when comedians understand the value they provide to people who will never spend a cent on them. I’d like to think he’s more about the laughs and how that fills the hole where normal people keep their souls, you know the traditional need for approval for shouting down the toilet that comedians have.
Yeah he’s very genuine in the podcasts I’ve listened to. His story of the suicidal girl celebrating her bonus years because of watching him on RUclips probably has something to do with it too. This stuff can be powerful for people in crisis.
