- Blues legend, B.B. King performs with the Louisiana Gator Boys in a rendition of his hit song 'How Blue Can You Get?'.
What is Blues Brothers 2000 (1998) about?
Eighteen years after the Brothers' original "mission from God", Elwood Blues (Dan Aykroyd) is getting out of prison and discovering that much has changed in the time he's been away. His partner, Jake, is gone, his band is no longer together and the orphanage where he grew up has been demolished. Elwood soon realizes that he must embark on a whole new mission - to reassemble the old band, this time with the help of a soulful bartender (John Goodman), compete at Queen Moussette's (Erykah Badu) Battle of the Bands and set a wayward orphan named Buster on the path to redemption. In the midst of the mayhem, he's got to prove to the police that there's magic in the music...and a mysterious method behind the Blues Brothers' madness. Special appearances by B.B. King, Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Johnny Lang, Blues Traveler, Eric Claption and many more. It's an action-packed comedy with lots of Rhythm and Blues.

The real winner of the contest: The audience.
To be in this audience, my goodness, it must've been like going to blues and soul heaven!
And they got paid, right?
Every so often I come to this video because I was raised right🤷🏿♂️
I remember when my dad told my older sister, me, and my younger brother to "Get dressed, your mom went out to eat with your aunts and We're gonna see a movie!" One of the best movie theater experiences of our lives.
Usually, when you cram so many stars together 'too many cooks can spoil the broth'. But here, it... Just... Works... In-credible....
All these cooks will never spoil this musical stew..
it was very carefully planned. Hats off to The Arranger, whoever that was. Music ARRANGERS never get the public credit that they deserve.
@@ignorecorporatenews Probably Shaffer, wouldn't be the first time yielding gold from chaos!
This scene is the reason why my dad almost prefers the second Blues Brothers movie to the first - the amount of legends performing this song.
He's a saxophone player, a blues fan and a B.B. King fan.
This was the best part of the entire movie! The amount of talent on this stage almost brings tears to my eyes. Call me crazy for that statement, but I just love music so much.
the music in BB2000 is much much better than in the original movie.
I like it too. And the soundtrack is 🔥
And you forget to say: Your dad has a good, good taste. Cheers to you both!
I could listen to them jam on this one song for hours.
This is the greatest grouping of artists ever
Espectacular banda para los que sabemos disfrutar de la buena música
Like how blues can you get?
The talent on that stage/this recording is legendary to say the least. Amazing to have this saved for the ages now that unfortunately so many of them have passed on.
There were plenty great musicians in that movie that aren't with us anymore rip their music and skills are legendary
Bruh, that is way too much talent on that stage. My goodness
Any one of theese guys and gals could have held the stage on their own. It's an honour to see the last of the R&B greats showing what R&B really is and why it was great
horn section is a true 4 headed monster
How blue can you get? 💙😎🔥
RIP to the Big Man, Mr. Clarence Clemons!
Crazy how I only realised that he was there just now. He's up in the Paradise By The C with B.B. King, Isaac Hayes and everyone else
I've never seen this movie so I was pretty shocked to see Eric Clapton! I shouldn't have been. Literally everyone is on stage. Lou Rawls! BB King!
Every time I see this it sure puts tears in my eye for all of those Greats that are gone now. GOD bless them All !!!!!!!!!!!
One of the good reasons to watch this movie again.
one of the only good reasons
Almost 2 much talent on one stage
So much talent in one place...it's just mind boggling!
Fabulous, fantastic, forever grateful 🎉
Nothing adds more to a song than a horn line that spits hot fire.
The movie is not all that but the Louisiana gators boys made it one of greatest movies ever made in one 5 minute song WOW WOW WOW
I honestly wish they'd decided to assemble a Blues mega-band for the 1980 movie when some of the other Blues Legends were still alive. I have always loved this song, even before this movie came out. R.I.P. to B.B. King, Bo Diddley, KoKo Taylor and the others who are no longer with us.
It's so cool seeing Grover Washington Jr in this movie R.I.P Mr.Washington❤🙏
A true master of his art! Thank you for you music bb. It will never be forgotten.
All those artists legends on that stage
Lou rawls, that made my heart asplode
Right!!?? 😂😂😂 Beyond smooth!! 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
A last big Hurrah from proper R&B, you have been missed...
There's a lot of talent on that stage. All star band.
I would have given anything to see that much talent on a stage at once! ❤❤❤
I grew up with my father teaching me thus is some of the highest standards of music. Elkhart,IN here Cblues from Cat Man and The All-nighters RIP.
OH MY GOD!! AMAZING!!! SO MUCH LEGENDS HERE
🎉❤❤😢😢🎉Love Love Love this room of SUPERSTAR SINGERS INSTRUMENTALISTS and Great People xoxo
lets be fair, theres a reason this song won the battle of the bands
Does not get any better than this.
Someone asked me, in the current era of remakes, the blues brothers is duie for a remake. My answers, even if you could find leads who looved the blues, you'd never recreate this...
Never in a million years could this be duplicated nor should anyone try.
Legend.
Blazing up and vibing out to this track. Awesomeness!! ^_^ ❤
I just love this song by this great blues legend!

I danced with bb kings wife, Lucille on her birthday. I danced with Albert Kings wife at Antones in Austin. I’ve seen Freddie King live. My life is complete.
You actually dancing 🕺 with B B Kings 🤴 guitar 🎸 ² music must have been quite an honor 🎖. 😅 Be grateful 😮.
I am. It was my birthday and hers too. My wife bought me a ticket. I went to will call and they couldn’t find it. They said don’t worry, we’ve got a great seat for you. It was right next to his wife, Lucille. Just a magical night.
B.B. King, Bo Diddley and Clapton enough said
This is awesome!!
Many missing that would make more like hank Sr. Ray Charles g. Jones Jimmy Roger's and hendrix buddy Holly to many great singers who sang with twang and pure soul !!!!!
The music was better in the second one just because of this
This my favourite song in both blues brothers
Wow stage is full of Blues kings and an IT tech guy from Microsoft with his short sleeve shirt :D
miss you king
RIP BB King Isaac Hayes and Dr John

💪💪🎸🎸👌👌👌 Amazing the blues
2:52 I can't tell if they're annoyed or just giving deep respect to fellow musicians - unless its a combination
Imagine you're meant to perform after that 😂😂😂😅
It's a movie. They were like the antagonist of the movie
Thats the original band from Blues Brothers. Its a joke
That looked like Grover Washington on baritone. If it is, it was probably one of his final performances.
It is Grover Washington Jr, and it was one of his final performances before he passed
I just realized the part bb king was singing was sung by Kenny on the Cosby show when bb was a
Guest on the show talking about the blues
This is the "house" band for House of the Lord.
Sweet Blues can you get Honey 😊
Puros monstruos de Groover Washington jr. hasta Jack De Johnette, pasando por Steve Windwood, Bo Diddley, Koko Taylor y Taj Mahal.
The talent on that stage...... WOW. Sorry, but the 2000 music was way better then the first.
Stevie Ray Vaughan is missing :(
His brother is there to represent for him though - Jimmie Vaughan is playing behind Clapton at 0:20
And Jeff Healy
He’d died by this time.
And jeff beck 😢
And me 😂😂😂
The man
🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿
Damn !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- God:"how blues can you get?"
- this song: yes
Сколь блюза ты сможешь уместить в своем сердце? А вот не больше чем здесь, иначе разорвется.
i love that chef from south park is there
This whole scene is unscripted. That's why it's so nice
Charlie❤
We need John Mayall in here too!!!! 😢
Better John than Rik…
Say what you will about this flick, this was my introduction to a lot of these artists. Especially BB.
This is over load of talent if this didn't knock you out then you are a amateur listener 😂😂😂😂
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Nice bit of product placement by Audix. :)
Jimmie Eric B B Travis 7.children 😊
BB King. The King of the Blues. He was even friends with Elvis!! But I’m so confused!!! From the comments, I heard that Blues Brothers 2000 wasn’t a good movie, and yet I heard that the music was phenomenal!!!!!!!!!!! BB King, Eric Clapton, and Koko Taylor are in this one scene!!!!!
There's a couple of articles where the director points out the troubled production as a result of the studio making unwanted changes to their script. eg: wanting them to tone down the films content in order to secure a PG/PG-13 rating despite the original's R rating, wanting the film to feature a kid in the story, several elements changed etc
The consensus among audiences and crew involved was that despite the film not being great, the music was its saving grace.

@@DougPoker thank you!
