- Listen to James Brown reprise his role in Blues Brothers 2000 to perform John the Revelator!
Eighteen years after the Brothers' original "mission from God", Elwood Blues (Dan Aykroyd) is getting out of prison and discovering that much has changed in the time he's been away. His partner, Jake, is gone, his band is no longer together and the orphanage where he grew up has been demolished. Elwood soon realizes that he must embark on a whole new mission - to reassemble the old band, this time with the help of a soulful bartender (John Goodman), compete at Queen Moussette's (Erykah Badu) Battle of the Bands and set a wayward orphan named Buster on the path to redemption. In the midst of the mayhem, he's got to prove to the police that there's magic in the music…and a mysterious method behind the Blues Brothers' madness. Special appearances by B.B. King, Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Johnny Lang, Blues Traveler, Eric Claption and many more. It's an action-packed comedy with lots of Rhythm and Blues.

I still love it when 'The Beloved' Reverend Cleophus James enters the chat!
That’s how it is when the spirit gets ahold of you
2:03 Chamberlain: The calling of the blood. Yes, I understand. I totally, absolutely, completely, positively understand! This is my God-given destiny!!!!!!!!!
First Jake saw the light and then Cab sees the light when he joins the Blues Brothers.
Anything with James Brown in it is AWSOME!
Invoke the calling of the Blood
Im not mad at all how they were doing the stanky leg in church 😂😂😂 one of my absolute fav movies!❤❤ its better than the first Blues Brothers to me.
😂
The what-now?
RIP James brown and they many other actors in 1980 and 2000 Amen
BB2000 was actually released in 1998.
James Brown coming in like" Nuh uh, not this time!" LOL
Nothing can beat the first movie. But that scene is so funny that I though "Damn, Blues Brother's Magic is not down"
Haha absolutely! I borned in 2002 so i grew up with both movies at the same time but always liked (and now understand why) the first movie more. But this scene always catches me :D
This film was as good as it could be and I hoped for, given time, age, regs (eg H&S). Indeed, I thought it deserved to do better on the mass market. The music ma, the music!
I gave the original 9/10 (I'm a tough customer, never given more than 9.5) and this one a 7 or 8. Mostly for the music of course, but -1 pt for that awful use of 634-5789. Wasted several influential talents on that one.
Elwood watching Chamberlain rise into the air, must have been giving him flashbacks to the first film.
Y'all better recognize!!!
How this world misses Mr.James Brown..Godfather of Soul.!🇬🇧🇺🇸✌️😃👍💃🕺💃🕺💃🕺💃🕺
Espectacular 👌
Blues Brothers 2000 (1998) I LOVE THE SECOND 🥈 ONE PLUS ONE MY FAVOURITE MOVIE 🎥 FROM THE 90s
James Brown is one of only 7 people who appeared in both original and this movie, the others being Dan Aakroyd, Kathleen Freeman, Frank Oz, Steve Larence, Aretha Franklin and Jeff Morris.
However, just like all others except Aakroyd, Brown's role in this movie was alot smaller then in the original movie.
Божественно)))
Command is a Blues Brother ❤️❤️❤️
I laughed so hard i fell out of my chair😂
Love it.
❤love blues music 🎉 😮😊😊
Blues Bros turned all the gospel tunes to jump blues.
I aint gonna lie, jump blues is gospel from a sinner side seekin' hope and life. I ain't religious, i just see it what it is. They did too.
Blues Brothers 2000: Fantastic music, sub-par movie. And yet Blues Brothers was fantastic music and fantastic movie.
I thought they were WAY better than today's woke movies.
@@LINJ638 what's woke?
Another blues brother
This movie wasn't very good but it was so batshit insane that I kinda love it

Calling of the blood
PREACH REVEREND
His family "Cab Calloway" was in the Squad.
❤🙏🎼🙏❤
Nostalgia critic did a real funny review of this film.
The commander is also Miles Dyson in Terminator 2
🙏🏻
I've seen this many times and still find it hard to believe that the Blues brothers can drive around and "This car. This stupid car," and not crease or tarnish their perfectly pressed suits.
Have no trouble believing that the late, great James Brown can preach even the most hardened law enforcement officer to the light though.
It's all about feasability, you see.
