From "The Blues Brothers": when brothers Joe and Jake Elwood discover the orphanage in which they were raised is destined to be forecloseed, the pair set out on "a mission from God" to raise the $5000 needed to pay the orphanage's property tax bill. Deciding that the best way to do it is to reunite their old R&B band, the brothers encounter a homicidal "mystery woman" (Carrie Fisher), Neo-Nazis, and a country and western band - all while being relentlessly pursued by the police.

In my opinion, the movie "The Blues Brothers" is one of the best in the history of cinema.
As a kid, I watched this movie so many times on our VHS player, I knew the entire movie WORD FOR WORD!
Elwood to bartender lady "What kind of music do you usually play here?" "Oh, we've got both kinds. Country and Western."
quoted this line more than any other from any film I have seen ... its like a tic almost.
The world would be a better place if we could all enjoy 20 minutes of Blues Brothers joy each day.
You know it!
Si es verdad
Agree, and if social media just stopped stealing content and started creating it.
They don't make movies like that anymore. What a great movie!!
All great people have been cancelled.
ONE OF The Greatest Films of All Time!!!
Should be taught in Sckools ;)
@@zenmanokfine If that was on purpos, it was very funny.
And who could have ever guessed that Cab Calloway would have immortalized his famous "Minnie the Moocher " song from 1931, in a major motion picture? So much magic and history in this film. ♥♥♥
Agreed.
cannot be that old ,,,,cuzz the BAR has BUSH BEER
The Blues Brothers movie came out in 1980; Cab Calloway did a reprisal for the movie of Minnie the Moocher, which he had originally done in 1931.
He wanted to do a disco version of it. They thankfully convinced him to do to original.
I see the light. "What light" lmao
My mom would not let me see this film while in the theaters because it had an "R" rating, mostly for the language. I was devastated, still being in high school. Finally in 1983, when I was legal age, I rented a VHS player and this movie from a local 7/11 store, as, I could not afford a player then. I think I watched it about 6 times in the 24 hours I had rented the VHS machine. I was in heaven. My mom watched it with me and was not impressed at all. 😃😃😃
Youth traumas! I wasn’t allowed to watch Carrie back then! Looking back, maybe for the better …
dude, this is one of the best films ever made. throw oscars at it. I keep watching clips just for the cameos. holy shit. James? Aretha? Ray? gtfout. I don't care how f*cked Jim Belushi was, it's an amazing film. and Carrie being a psycho? oh come on. next level.
This shot was Shot in Tampa FL. The store is still there.
Your mom’s stupid.
That restrictive story is fun to read about. To me this movie is a anti-love live story. A clunky party of epic collaboration.
I needed a reason to smile today .. and this is it!!! Thank you Awonderful film with more mega stars ever
By far one of the best movies and most underrated by today's crowd! Great artists, music and story line. Don't forget about the one liners! "It's dark and I'm wearing sunglasses"!
I hate musicals and LOVE this movie!
The use of unnecessary violence in the apprehension of the Blues Brothers....
Has been approved.
✌️💚🇬🇧
"It's a hundred and seven miles to Chicago, we have a full tank of gas, a half pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses."
"Hit it!" -Best car chase send-off ever.
"Neighbors" was by far less "rated", yet an awesome Belucci / Aykroyd effort.
Greatest musical ever made. One of the greatest duos ever to do it.
One of the best movies ever. So many of them are gone now. I am glad they left this little sample of amazing talent.
Still love this movie in 2024 great music dancing and stars
Cab Calloway’s Minnie the Moocher was a breakout hit in the 1920’s. The fact that it was awesome 50 years later and now 100 years later is just mind glowingly awesome.
Belushi was one of a kind...makes me mad he's gone...but glad we had him for a while...
Jes' don't be forgettin' why he's not with us anymore ... 🚫 (Say 'no' to drugs!) 👍
大好きすぎるブルースブラザーズ😍💞💞この映画で、ゴスペル、ソウル、ブルースにハマりました❤
I have no cool story about watching this movie. I just make sure i watch it at least twice a year. It's mandatory!
One of the best cult comedies 😂 and music and destruction movies of all times
I watched this movie as a kid. My dad said look there's Princess Leia. While ignoring the fact she tried to kill Belushi! 😊 Cab and Ray were wonderful in this movie. ❤ No one played a better preacher than James Brow, he was excellent!
The Reverend Cleofus James!!!!!
The music, people, it must have been a gas to be part of this production.
My Mom would get my brother & I out of bed on Saturday nights if Joliet Jake & Elwood were on SNL, then the movie came out when I was about 13, we watched it on a Beta Max, opened my eyes , and ears, to so much music that keeps me exploring to this day ....
IF I WATCH THIS MOVIE OR LISTEN TO THE ALBUMS 10,000 MORE TIMES IT WILL NEVER BE ENOUGH !!!
MY Brother Jake would like to become increasingly intimate with you, look at this hes takin his coat off, when i put this dude to bed at night he dont take his coat off but hes doin it for you people! Belushi was A BLUESMAN thru and thru "YEAH BABY I been drinkin, and I know I shouldnt come by no more,,,but I found myself in trouble darlin and i got no where else to go. I GOT SOME WHISKEY FROM A BARMAN, I Got Some COCAINE from MY FRIENDS, Il keep on runnin baby Till im back in your arms again.... IM GUILTY SO GUILTY And ILL BE GUILTY for the rest of my life...(belushi is cryin at this point its a live show he was sooo fucked up)A TRUE BLUESMAN PRACTICING HIS CRAFT! YOU KNOW How bit is with me Baby ,You Know I JUST Cant Stand MYSELF, IT TAKES A WHOLE LOTTA MEDICINE DARLIN ...For me to pretend that im somebody else"
. "IT LOOKS LIKE THE VERDICT IS IN....MY BROTHER JAKE IS GUILTY"
I didn't appreciate the range of styles and genres the boys had until now. May we always remember those who are no longer performing corporeally. This movie is more poignant and those artists ever more amazing now in 2024.
After all these years it's still one of my favourites.
Blues Brothers это не просто фильм, а какой-то праздник души
God bless you brother I love The blues Brothers hey if your post says one day ago brother if you want to talk I'm in Mount Shasta California
I don't know how many times I've watched this movie, possibly more than any other. The Ray Charles scene is my favorite of all the cameos, though Minnie the Moocher is a strong contender as well, and that is saying a lot. So much incredible music!
I was lucky enough to catch Cab Calloway in concert in Toronto in the early 90's. Very likely the best music I ever heard. He was not a young man at that time, and was still by a long way the coolest person there. An absolute legend.
I never saw Cab Calloway live, but I have had the privilege of seeing other legends like Muddy Waters, Etta James, and BB King at various Jazz/RB festivals. It is great to see these incredible performers even once in a lifetime.
I love it that they give credit to the crew in the end credits. I'm a stagehand, so I think that's just really cool.
この映画は、大好きで、何度も何度も繰り返し見ました😊
Loved these two together brilliant cast and brilliant movie
This is one of the best movies ever. I could watch it every week
The whole movie is a best-of in itself, this just made me want to see it again.
Soundtrack of my youth ❤
Matt Guitar Murphy and Aretha in bath slippers! Love it! ❤

I already gave this a thumbs up, but it has been so long that it was freshly humorous for my short memory. Thank you.
I remember going to see this movie when it came out, and I still play the soundtrack, now and then.
Adoro John Belushi e Dan Akroyd. Esta é a verdadeira alma estadunidense, do "soul" autêntico, origem do Rock n' roll
.
and the people in the street dancing are the Chicago dance Team, they also where in Ferris Buliliers day off.
Most people don't know that but those are Aretha's sister singing too with her.
Really?
Omg…the best!
My husband & I just LOVED this movie. Our rented VHS tape was running hot when we returned it. The final scene where the Blues Bros are kind of outrunning EVERY cop car in Chicago was my husband’s fave. Me? I learned to appreciate so many artists I’d heard as a kid then finally got to watch them doing something out of kilter. I’ve been an Aretha fan since & her passing hasn’t changed that one bit. I even named a rather large black & tan dog Aretha & that was the best compliment I could ever give. RIP songstress & damned fine friend
Best blues music movie ever! 🖤🖤🖤🖤 i’m 55 years old now, and have been showing it to my kids (26 and 23 now)... THEY CAME BELIEVERS TOO😂 Everything begins in the blues. Check blue blot....
This film opened my eyes to so many great artists when it first came out.
Both my daughters love the film and the music, it's become a real bond 💖
Miss that kind of movie old day was the best like this one good comedy with great music❤
Gotta LUV ya John Belushi God bless ya sweetie 💜🙏 too frickin cool🌹oi Hollywood gotta do another blues brothers movie
I saw this 36 yrs ago, my overall view is of storyline to allow men to save themselves and to create awareness for others. The music was a bonus for/to support this.
I have rarely enjoyed a video as much as I have enjoyed this one :)
It was hilarious in 1980 the first time I saw it, and it will be like that to me, always.
The Best Movie Ever made all the time !!! 🙂
I can't believe how much fun there still is 🎉 its 20 years since this old classical and opera lover danced in the isles at a great tribute show - and still can't sit still..." let me see you shake your tail feathers...😅 Wow!
Mesmerizing, doesn't' matter how many times I watched and listened to them.
サンドイッチ片手のスピルバーグがラスト演出ってのが洒落てた😂
Aside from the incredible musical numbers, what about all those amazing car crashes all through the film. NOT CGI !!! Real drivers driving real cars and REAL CRASHES !!!
I would bet that is where the biggest chunk of the budget went to : car crashes !!!
at the time the movie was made, it was the biggest car chase on film
oh the SWAT team hut hut hut lol
Yes, and at the time, the greatest number of cars wrecked in the making of a film.@@rodgerberg5487
My Dad snuck me in to see this. Then bout me the album. I think he listened to it more then I did. When I was asleep. Then he died. Ain't that a bitch?😚😡🤣 Great video Dude..
Mr. B. Here ! 👀😎👍👀😎👍🎸🎶🎼🎸🎶🎼
My favorite musical ever! Re-runs it seemed every weekend as a kid. Watched everytime it was on TV.!!!

These clips are good, but cut out the setups that make them even better.
This is my favourite film of all time..every scene is a win
2 ways to watch BB. Drunk or stoned. Anything less is just fooling around 😅😂😊
ME MUUERO MUERTO!!!... VIVA EL R'N'ROLLLLLLL!!!
"Jesus H. Tap Dancin' Christ! I HAVE SEEN THE LIGHT!"
Back when Dan was skinny.... ;-)
"Lovelight" was the best Blues Brothers 2000 tune....
Meaning no disrespect but I'd have liked John Lee Hooker to be included in this great montage.
Loved This! 😊
❤🤣 i love the Blue Brothers 💙 and no theirs no question about it
" I need you the same way you need me, okay?"😉
I was reborn with this work.
ブルース・ブラザーズ最高👍😊
Dancing to the jail house rock🤘
Elwood never really caught the Holy Ghost … he just wanted to join his brother Jake. 😂😢
Suprise...that IS the holy ghost.
Nice nice 😎😎💚💚💛💛💚💚
I was 13 when this came out in 1980, and was an instant hit to me!
8:14 - go to whip

I love that the brothers joined in dancing during the Think song!

My favourite part, then they sit down like nothing happened 🤣

I love this movie and I hate musicals so this must be something else lol
I like 1950s musicals but I hate Grease. This one is the best modern musical I know of.
One of the best films ever made
The Blues Brothers are definitely invited to the barbecue ❤
