True! BUT SADLY, half the bad (Mr. Fabulous, Donald Duck, Matt Guitar) has since passed away and I doubt Akroyd would want to do it without any of them out of respect.
THAT KID ROCKS I!!!!! HE'S GOT THE BLUES!!!! ❤ I still can't get through this movie; I break down crying over John Belushi who died when I was 9 and I credit him with saving my life because I never did cocaine or heroin because of him dying; he influenced my future decision making.
I'm very thankful that James Belushi and Dan Akroyd to the time to point me in the direction me in such a fantstic genre of music. i'm not sure I would have realised what was there, I am better person for this...
This is the BEST RUclips posting of an incredibly awesome scene from a truly great movie! It's rare that a sequel lives up to the stature of an original (unless it was originally planned as a two- or three-part series, like Star Wars or Hunger Games). But even with the loss of Ray Charles, Cab Calloway, and of course John Belushi, Blues Brothers 2 was a great video and musical experience. Have DVD copies of both of them, and re-watch them at least annually - coming here for the periodic "fix" on special scenes, like this one. Thanks so much for making this perfect video version available! 😍🤩🥰💕
Thank you so very much , I just adore everything about The Blues Brother . Wish I had the movies .But it is so nice to share with us This incredible video . ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
I'll never forget having Current Events in Highschool. We got to read the paper everyday(Detroit Free Press), and them just lambasting this movie in the nation wide reviews the following weekend in the Monday's edition. Killed any kind of interest of going to the theater to see it, because I was curious to see how Aykroyd was going to continue the story without Belushi. Thats also were I read and found out for the first time Peter Venkmen role was originally supposed to be played by Belushi rather than Bill Murray
It's been 25 years since this film came out, & here's a list of all of the cast members who have died since its release: Junior Wells, 1998. Grover Washington Jr., 1999. Kathleen Freeman, 2001. Jeff Morris, 2004. Lou Rawls, 2006. Wilson Pickett, 2006. Billy Preston, 2006. James Brown, 2006. Bo Diddley, 2008. Isaac Hayes, 2008. Koko Taylor, 2009. Alan "Mr. Fabulous" Rubin, 2011. Clearance Clemmons, 2011. Donald "Duck" Dunn, 2012. B.B. King, 2014. Lonnie Brooks, 2017. Matt "Guitar" Murphy, 2018. Aretha Franklin, 2018. Dr. John, 2019.
It’s definitely sad that we lost so many amazing actors of musicians since this movie came out but between this movie and the original blues brothers these guys started something that probably won’t ever be replicated. They had an amazing sound and we’re a lot of fun to listen to. The humor, the movies was kind of corny, but still all in all great movies.
And between the original and the release of this movie, we also lost both John Belushi and Ray Charles, too incredible greats in their own right. And Carrie Fisher (the "mystery woman" in BB1), of course, has also left this plane of existence.
I do remember that song Recorded by Bobby "Blue" Bland way back. I Googled him, the Singer passed away in 2013."Turn On Your Love Light." 💘 The Blues Brothers did a great Job on this song and Rawhide and From Blues Brothers 2000, Ghost Riders in the Sky Song. I just got these 2 Blues Brothers movies on one DVD from Amazon. Great Price. These guys did a great job on these Wonderful old songs I liked the Kid singing. He was cute, loved their cool clothes!!🎵🎶🎵😊🤗🥰👏👏👏👏❤❤💕❤💕
Curious about something and I hope Sax players chime in here. During Blue Lou's solo, the timbre of the solo is pretty bright. In fact, I think it's an alto, yet the sax Lou is playing in the clip is a tenor. I know, I know...a movie and a movie that took a lot of liberties. But still......continuity should be accountable right?
To me, this movie in general was an utter disaster. And even that is an total understatement. But... Blues Brothers vs Gator Boys and the rest of the movie from that point... It was perfection. Still, it was simply not same thing without John Belushi, who was heart and soul of Blues Brothers. Without him, anything they try to do would be a total disaster. It was very nice that in this movie they acknowledged the deaths of Jake and Curtis, played by the late John Belushi and Cab Callaway. Sadly, no mention of passing of John Candy, who also appeared in the original movie, even though the movie was dedicated to Belushi, Callaway, Candy and Junior Wells, who appeared in this movie, but passed away a month before the movie's release. Further tribute to Callaway was the fact that the new main character Cab was named in honor of his character from the original movie.
As a kid I loved the original but even as a young teen I thought the sequel was over done. Too many celebs too many subplots too many weird things like well undead ppl?
I think we desperately need another Blues Brothers movie
The only thing that can heal the world right now
Oh Yes! True!

Amen.
Blues Brothers 2000 did a very good job at capturing the spirit of the original. Well done.
Absolutely. No it didn’t have John Belushi but excellent film despite the tragedy of his death.
Jake and Curtis is up in heaven loving it
No belushi. Movie should have never been made

Thanks!! Now I can show my husband this list because we're trying to figure out who is still alive.
My favorite actor in the blues brothers 2000 is j. Evan bonifant
That black guy from T2 really can sing.

Putaquipariu! Deve ser a milésima vez que eu vejo e choro todas as vezes! Blues Brothers eternamente

Gator Boys had multiple legendary guitarists, singers, keyboardists, but The Blues Brothers had Duck Dunn on bass!

It’s a movie. Almost none of the instruments are being played lived. The harp parts were played by Charlie Musslewhite and John Popper.

You... should re-watch the first one. There are a tone of zany sub-plots.
Is that joe morton actually singing?
Yes!
It was great until the kid started singing.
Nah I wished i was that kid back in the day and like it or not the younger gen keeps the bluesbrothers alive
