I just got run 8 about 2 weeks ago, and funny I actually am learning a lot on the Fitz right now. It's the only DLC I have so far aside from base routes. I used Bakersfield as a starting point to learn otto and industry tags. I really got my head around it in the southeast though, I just found fitz significantly easier to navigate as a beginner but that's just me. By no means a beginner with train simulators, but sir I have to thank you for the fantastic run 8 content. You have really helped me get comfortable with the sim.
This is probablely the 1st video of any of the train sims that I've watched the whole thing. I got Run 8 because it's supposed to be the most realistic. Well I did add 1 dlc but can't find it on my game. Got that dlc because it's my backyard. But I have to play it more. I've managed to break knuckles and even derail LOL. But seems like a fun game once I figure it out.
That is awesome and I"m glad you enjoyed! What DLC did you get and are you still having issues with it? Yes once you get an idea of what to do, its an absolute blast! Thanks again for watching!
Feel the horn failure story but kinda the opossite i once had some one that was being stupid and was laying on it so hard it dumped my air granted I ran 4 car commuter trains so not a ton of air
Hello; You might know the answer to this question. I recently got V3 after running v2 for several years. The Bakerfield sub is not showing up in v3, but I had it in V2. Sometimes the Barstow yard shows up with no track. I can always contact the Run 8 support staff. Thought I would ask you for your thoughts first. Thanks in advance for your response.
I'd have to disagree with that. At least with my experience, and I caught a lot of rack trains, they were good jobs. They were step on, step off, they were never draggy, they got over the road good, and I never had a single issue with one compared to some of the other trains we ran.
@@spurgaming5400 They can be big issues on mountain passes. On Stevens Pass there have been several occasions where westbound loaded autoracks have gone into emergency just east of Skykomish because when they're all bunched up, the air hoses dangle pretty low and can easily get disconnected by rocks or whatever could be on the ground.
17:14 What do the track lights mean?? Obviously the top green light means you are okay to travel on that track but what does the red light below it mean??
Love seeing the car run past the downed crossing gate right next to a cop!!!

Thanks so much for the comment! I'm really glad to hear you enjoy!
So, this game is basically DCS World for trains.............
Yep
This tied with Roseville for me
I haven't gotten Roseville! I may have to check it out sometime.
that horn sounds like it should be on a BNSf sd70MAC , ive heard that horn before in videos on that unit
Oh I loved the old BN Grinstein SD70MACs. They were really sharp back in the day.
Any link to that horn? I use H1’s quite often and thinks it matches perfectly
I'll see if I can dig it up!
@@spurgaming5400 K, ill check back in the comments for a few days, Great video Btw

@@spurgaming5400 Mohawk in New York. I spent most of my life in the Mohawk Valley. And I finally got the dlc to load don’t even know how I did it.

Never had to deal with one stuck. That would suck big time.
Hmmm, I think you know that you can countdown the length of your train by hitting R-Shift and *. at the end of the count, and then you get a tone.

Cancel the above I got it to show.
“Auto rack trains are good” says no one ever

can anyone tell me why in run8 it keeps telling me there is NO TRAINS AVAILIBLE?
I'm honestly not sure as I haven't ran into that problem before.

The top signal head is for the track you are currently on and the lower one is for the adjacent track.
