  • As “requested” by Reddit: a guide to the gem exchange in Guild Wars 2. As funny as this video concept seemed to me at first, knowing how to buy gems cheaper can actually be extremely useful, especially for playing that can’t or won’t spend real money on the game. There’s plenty of players that rely on the gold to gem exchange to unlock living world episodes and account upgrades, and the possibility to save hundreds or even thousands of gold exists if you’re one of those players. On the flipside, if you sell gems for gold on a regular basis, you can time your sales to get more gold for your gems. So, here’s the guide that unironically teaches you how to buy and sell gems better in Guild Wars 2.

    what is a good way to make gold i am stuck on 9gold for some amount of time i need make 50 gold to get 200 gems for unlocking S4 for the skydrake.. is it better to have new expansion for this or can it still be done with the 2 previous expansions ?

      There's several ways to make gold, including ones that are outside of EoD. I'd advise checking out my videos for open world farming and daily gold making. Both are pre-EoD and have options from various areas of the game.

    Hey, thank you for the video, i was wondering what exactly you mean at 2:43 until 3:06
    Do you mean you type in the ammount of gems you want and just wait for the price to refresh for a better deal?

    • @abree107
      @abree107  Год назад +1

      You have to refresh the page and take a look at the prices for the standard numbers. Whenever it dips a few gold per 400, you want to immediately go to custom exchange and buy as many as you're looking for. A lot of players won't need that many, so they can just choose 2000 or one of the lower options.

    I always found GW2 monetization system to be brilliant. It allows whales to win virtually everything with their wallet alone, but the other side of the playerbase, that never spends money on gold, not only doesn't have to spend a lot of time to get to the endgame gear and QoL, but also massively benefits from swipers in the first place. If not for the steep entry price for the basic functionality, I would've even said that GW2 is the most pro-consumer MMO there is.

      If you're thinking you can make money going back and forth on the currency exchange you can't. This only applies to people using gold for gems or vice versa. If you don't want to optimize it, you don't have to. But I'd wager this is the only guide to doing so. It's a very niche topic.

      @B1az1ngSuN That's what I'm saying. If you want to get gems without paying real money for them, you'll want to look into gold making methods. This video is only about getting a slightly better deal when you go to buy the gems. The vast majority of the work is actually earning gold through farming, crafting, flipping etc.
