That plate work the grid is the intake air heater-- if it fails, you may see white smoke.
Will the EGR re-route help with reducing the build up? Can't delete I'm in California too.
If you mean the Pcv re-route, yes it will definitely help. I run my pcv to a catch can, then back to the intake. Some vent the pcv to atmosphere that’s just more diesel smell in the cab that I don’t want.
Could I just use one of the Sea Foam upper intake cleaner cans with straws work? I know it does miracles for gas engines.
I don’t know that it will work as well as a thorough cleaning but I would think it would help clean out some of the mess
I burned all that off my LLY egr with a propane torch. Unfortunately, I haven't restored it to see if it worked. Can anyone see a reason why not to burn all that off?
I suppose the only concern I would have about using a torch is warping the metal with heat, but as long as you didn’t get it red hot, I don’t see a reason that wouldn’t work.
That’s exactly why I deleted my truck
What a mess....this a perfect example as to why it needs to be deleted..I understand some states tie Your hands on it tho..
