- In this episode @adventureswithtoyahandmurray drive the Myvi King to the far south west coast of Malaysia, and visit the southernmost point of Mainland Asia!
We explore the town of Pontian and have a vegan lunch at a Chinese vegetarian restaurant before heading down to the town of Kekup, where we find a Chinese village that is built over the water 🤩
Finally we arrive at Tanjung Piai, and walk the long board walk, through the mangrove forests in the extreme Malaysian heat to arrive at the Southernmost point of Mainland Asia.
Next time we head over to the far south east coast of Malaysia and start making our way north, exploring along the way.

On the left of the ferry port to Indonesia, there's a small jetty for boats ride to Pulau Kukup and sea fish cage.

It must be quite easy ans safe to drive around Malaysia, rite? The journey from Johor Bahru up to Kelantan along the east coast is wonderful. It is my favourite route.
Yes, the roads are very good and we have felt safe everywhere we have been so far, Malaysian people have been nice, friendly and helpful.

7:13 that's actually one of the ports that goes to Indonesia. I think there's a bigger, more modern one at Iskandar Puteri JB. There's even a ferry port at Port Dickson to Indonesia. How are you guys enjoying the road trip so far? Stay well always 😄

Pontian is known for its fishing and fish markets supposedly cheaper but it never is for you or me. Kukup is known for its seafood restaurants, chalets and and as a fishing village also a Ramsar site. Thanks for showing us around.
