On my 82 Fiat 124 I took out the back seat and replaced it with carped marine plywood, Looked great and gave me more room to put stuff since the back seat was never used.
Great video man! I recently bought a 77 fiat spider as my first car (I just turned 17 the last week) and have been using you videos to help me figure out stuff for these models. Before I got it, I was preparing and researching more modern car repair stuff (honda civic, mazda, etc.), but since watching your videos I feel a bit more comfortable fixing things where I can. She may not be where I want her now, but just being able to see you work on the car gives me a bit of confidence.
Time for this project this spring! Appreciate seeing this. My fiat is a 1977 and didn't have shoulder belts. I found someone willing to salvage the rear brackets off a new model 124 that I will have welded into my 1977. Any concerns about welding those brackets into the my 1977?
@@ELDESTBuilds I'm feeling lazy and hiring a fiat mechanic to rebuild my carb (32ADFA). He mentioned that I should order an "electrical jet valve." Any idea what that is? Can't find anything called that at Autoricambi or Vick Auto.
@@ELDESTBuilds Ok! Brackets welded in place. At 3:15 in your video you show a gold colored bracket that I can't find at Seatbelt Planet. Where did you find that? I called them and they said the retractor only needs to be bolted with one bolt, but I prefer yours with the bracket because the bracket enables you to use both bolt holes.
You said you do "House Calls?" We did not realize you did so. Could you come to our garage and help the Princess and I with some finishing touches on our '79 Spider project?PLLLLEEEEAAAASSSSSEEEEE. LOL

If done correctly, no problem, just getting the fitment right and tacking them on.

I don't know, maybe he means a electric fuel pump? I would ask him for more information.

@@dmerth That bracket is factory Fiat stuff. You could probably use a piece of flat bar, 1/8 inch and drill two holes in it.
Hi Eldest, really appreciate your videos. Could you please send me the info about the seat belt kit. I can't find them anywhere. Thanks

Last I saw y'all were painting. I think that would be a long drive.
The old seat belts you removed have wires on the receiver end and the replacement ones didn’t. What do you do with the wires?
Nothing, just capped off the ends. Controls the buzzer for the seat belt. Buzzer was removed as well.
Thanks
